Where to Eat in Faubourg Marigny

"Head to the back courtyard or hang in one of the pretty rooms at the classy New Orleans Art Bar, where an extensive list of cocktails — there are individual menus each for vodka, gin, whiskey and bourbon, cognac, tequila, and rum drinks — and tasty bar bites are served in a lively, highbrow setting. There’s even bottle service, and craft cocktails are half-off from 5 to 7 p.m." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell

Where to Drink the Best Martinis in New Orleans - Eater New Orleans

"This Marigny hotspot with a hidden backyard oasis does it all — a Sazerac, French 75, Vieux Carre, and more classics — and it does all of them well. Of course, that includes a traditional martini, but also some of the best classic variations of a martini like the Vesper and Aviation. Browse well-works by well-known and emerging Black writers and artists before bellying up to the bar or grabbing a table out back." - Adriana Lopez

I’m sorry, I really wanted to like this place. I celebrated my birthday tonight and it did not live up to my expectations, the atmosphere is nice but the service is terrible. I paid $250 for a small section with zero service. No one came to check on us. Not to mention, communication with the owner, Rich, is horrible. He asked if I wanted food and I told him yes, even gave him the type of food that I wanted, and when me and my guest arrived there was no food, except $35 oysters! We had to leave to get food. We wanted to party all night but the DJ was a waste! I wouldn’t say not to visit because again the atmosphere is a vibe, I’m just saying they could do better far as customer service.

So cute! I’ve been waiting on the perfect time to visit this bar and I’m glad I went when I did. Firstly, the entire art bar is so dope, chill, cute, and modern! The chef and bartender were attentive, friendly and ready to serve ! I tried the Brave Bill, I think Passion Punch and either it was the Strawberry Gin & Tonic or strawberry margarita (one with strawberries). Drinks were ridiculously good! I also had the Guacamole with chips and Ginlet shrimp (not sure of the spelling). I went to this spot solo and enjoyed every minute of relaxation. I’m definitely returning!!

Go and catch a vibe at this black owned bar. Issa vibe in here surrounded by many black owned books. It’s super cute inside with a few tables and chairs. The bartenders and servers are super friendly. Thursdays they offer trivia from 7pm - 9pm, they have a beautiful courtyard. Buy a book and grab a drink here. They have a happy hour from 5pm - 7pm Tues. through Sat. The offer a variety of drinks for happy hours. You can get a delicious margarita for $7.50.

Visiting from Florida. This bar is super cool with friendly, attentive staff and excellent drinks. The artwork is gorgeous. Very clean location. Music was fun making for a great atmosphere. Could not ask for a better experience. Lindsay was really hustling serving and bartending, and she did it all with a smile. Highly recommend!

The absolute BEST shrimp tacos I’ve ever had in my life. The cook in the back know what he’s doing. Matter of fact, the bar tenders know what they doing too. I had never had a French75 and I’m glad I had my first one here. It was so smooth. Them ladies did their thing on the dranks!! We missed trivia night but jammed out (and I mean we JAMMED 😂!) to early 90s r&b music. I’ll never forget it! Such an incredible experience. ☺️

It was a Wednesday Wine night. The atmosphere is relaxing. Nice music inside and there was a live band in the courtyard.

The place is pretty. There is both inside and outside spacing. Really clean and authentic new orleans. I'm sorry I didn't take more photos cause u just gotta see it! I visited on a Friday night for reverse happy hour. My crew was the only group there however there was a huge ball that night. So I could see why the crowd was light. I'd revisit for the fill Friday experience.

Beautiful book store with a bar and courtyard off of St Claude Ave. Had a great variety of books written by POC/Women. Definitely a cute space to host events, especially in their courtyard
