Our server, Juan, was amazing! Thank you for your kindness, attention, and suggestions. This was our first time there and we would love to come back. Great food, great service, and comfortable seating. Thank you for having options for the kids! Everyone was super friendly. Excellent visit. One great surprise was getting complimentary cheese dip, along with the chips and salsas. Definitely helped us decide to order a larger version (we loved the jalapeños that added a hint of spice to it). Highly recommend this restaurant!

Frontera Mexican kitchen 5074 highway 78 is the best Mexican restaurant I have yet to try. So if you're over here stop by you will love it. The atmosphere perfect food, excellent service outstanding!!! Ask for Julissa! She is what you want in a server. The manager Monica was super nice to check on us and another waiter Juan so nice the whole staff!!! Oh and by the way, I've never seen this in a bathroom before but there was a mouthwash dispenser?! how cool is that!!! Maybe I don't get out much.... Just kidding LOL.

Ivette, the Bartender went above and beyond to make sure that I was well taken care of!!! Her personality shines as soon as you sit down at the bar and she kept me well entertained!! First time here and I’m definitely coming back. Juan-the other Bartender provided A1 service as well! And he’s also a charmer 😍 The atmosphere is like no other Frontera that you’ve ever visited.

We found out that this restaurant has been around for more than 35 years, but received a recent renovation. It shows! The place was clean, well decorated and inviting! They had a full bar, and the house margaritas were delicious! Selena’s service went above and beyond! The chips and salsa and queso are complimentary, and served as soon as you’re seated. The fajita portions were large, with a good mix of fresh vegetables. Unfortunately, the reason the food got 4 stars was because, both the veggies and the chicken had absolutely no seasoning/flavor! Don’t know if they just forgot! Adding some salsa helped. If you love heat, don’t forget to ask for the spicy salsa! I expected one, instead it was a medley of stuff! The sopapillas were a great finish! I’ll definitely return, and maybe request that it be seasoned!

First time here. We arrived between 9:30-9:40. We were unaware that they closed at 10:30. AESTHETICS 9/10 - VERY clean. also smelled good when we walked inside. VERY clean bathrooms as we FOOD: 8/10 SERVICE: 7/10 - we were rushed. point! blank! period! our server was trying to be sneaky with rushing us, but we picked up on it right away. The drinks were FLAT!

Very nice interior seating; even has outdoor patio seating as well. Great music and glad its not too loud either. Lunch daily special was great options. I like the free chips and salsa, queso cheese dip as well. Bar area was nice with big screen tvs. Our party of three all ordered the Super Speedy on the lunch menu that came with an enchilada, hard taco, rice, and refried bean. I would come back to try other menu items. Our server was great and very attentive.

Customer service was not there! I've tried them a few times to see if things would change but no! No change and don't go to the outside patio terrible experience not going back not recommending yes it looks nice inside after the burn down but customer service needs work

Awesome vibes! Parking was easy but then again I went on a weekday. Very welcoming upon entering we were greeted and seated right away. We were given menus and some time to decide on our order. They had music playing it was pleasant and at a low volume. Our waitress was Julissa and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took our drink order first I ordered the strawberry margarita with tajin around the rim ummm that was good it was $12...I then ordered the homestyle guacamole $12.99 and the shrimp fajitas nachos $21.99. Everything came out at a decent time and very delicious. For dessert I ordered the Flan 6.49 and baby that was the star!! You get so much food I was eating on the shrimp fajitas for at least a day and a half . Anyhoo I will definitely be back again soon. Check out my vid and until next time SYOY!

This was my first time visiting Frontera since the building burned down & was rebuilt. The physical space came back way better than before. Very minimalist and modern sleek. It's a great environment for family or date. They have a new menu that is nothing like what Frontera usually offers. It was very modern and servings were definitely less. For example when you visit frontera you usually get a basket of chips and a bowl or 2 of salsa. At this location I received a smaller cup of tortilla chips with little bowls of salsa (picture attached). The same for the main courses, they were presented in a modern, updated way with beautiful plating but serving sizes were definitely off from the norm. On the bright side, the service and bar drinks were spot on great! If this was not a Frontera my expectations wouldn't have been what they were and I would have been happy with the visit. What threw me off was going in expecting ting one thing & getting something else. I will go back again but now I know what to expect.

First time back since they rebuilt due to the fire. It looks amazing and has a fun atmosphere. They brought over a cute appetizer with 3 dips and cute chips/strips. The steak in my fajitas was very good and the hubby's street tacos were great. The house margarita was ok. I'm a light weight and I didn't taste any alcohol, seemed watered down. Maybe we will try the Texas next time but it's more expensive for the same amount of drink. I liked the salsa trio but I miss the regular chips. I thought we'd get some when we ordered the guacamole but we got more of the strips. The guacamole also needed a little more seasoning but was fresh. We will be back as it the mess we're great. Also the manager came over to check on us and the waitress, Michelle was very helpful and nice.

I'm shocked at this restaurants 3 star review rating! The place was spotless, beautifully designed and food was delicious and the service was top-notch. I even popped into the ladies room and it was immaculate! Can't imagine why this restaurant does not have five stars all around. The bar was lovely as well.

Brianna was a very great bartender. Very fast helpful and drinks was amazing. Ambiance was amazing as well. Definitely a great go to for food and drinks

It was a beautiful ambiance and very clean establishment. Service was friendly, quick and attentive! We had the esquite for an appetizer, it was very good and generous portion. The steak fajitas were cooked medium and very tender, the rice was so delicious. Drinks were tasty and well balanced. I would definitely recommend!

I've been to soo many places, some I don't leave reviews. Unless the places are outstanding or horrible. I'm associated with a few companies that work with restaurants and I was told that this place is extremely clean and friendly. Friendly & clean restaurants... we have to check it out. This place is FANTASTIC, it earned a nickname from me lol. I'm call this place slumber time . When you first walk in, you are greeted with a smile from the hostess, from there our waitress Julissa, she was outstanding. Julissa gave a few suggestions and just a friendly warm type of vibe. First the drinks , idk about who's reading my reviews however I'm tried of going to places and all they add for a drink is syrup and alcohol.. not here, they actually make QUALITY DRINKS... OMG. The food taste like they have someone Grandmother trapped in the kitchen cooking.... DELICIOUS . We even ordered lemon pepper wings too and you know some lemon pepper wings be too salty.. not here, just the perfect seasoning and juicy. The quantity and quality of food you get here is OMG. Dessert I had the fried ice cream, we felt like we was on a resort. We check out soo many restaurants and this place was a pleasant surprise and they are known for being clean. Where the general public can't see I will recommend, refer, and will be back and ask for Julissa because she is Outstanding. The nickname slumber is because even if you plan on having Funtime in the bed after... you going to need to cudddle first lol that food is going to have you nap first lol

My wife and I were regular customers at Frontera in Stone Mountain before the fire. We were so glad when it reopened, but were completely disappointed with the chips and salsa offered. It was 3 small dishes of different salsas and some tiny chips instead of the large chips and larger dishes of salsa. Since that is one of our favorite treats, we stopped going to the Stone Mountain location and now go to the Frontera on 5 Forks and Sugarloaf Parkway. Hasta luego !!

Exactly what the doctor ordered! Atmosphere was clean and updated. If you have not been in a while, try it out soon!

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. A fire destroyed it and I hadn't been in years. Tonight my family decided to go after it had been built back up, renovated and reopened. I was pleasantly surprised. They still had the same favorites on the menu. I got what I used to get as a kid... The crazy Taco and it was the best it's ever been. My mom got the spinach quesadillas and she loved them and my dad got a Caesar salad and a blackberry daiquiri and loved his too. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. They changed all of the ambience and it's so much better than before. Great vibe The only critique would be to offer more chips up front. They used to give a big basket of tortilla chips with the dips and now they give the table a very tiny little cup of chips. However, you can ask for free refills. I just think they should start with a little bigger container so that the wait staff doesn't have to constantly run to the kitchen to get more. Chips are cheap and I think they could put more out without a problem. Aside from that.. Everything was wonderful. Oh and the meal portions were still nice and big. We will be back!

Party of 8 seated immediately. Julissa's suggestion for drinks was excellent. Ordered pizza for kids and they loved it. Nachos supreme are so delicious! Beef quesadillas were great- loved the atmosphere and decor!

My wife and I randomly found this place while driving down the road. What a gem! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Good service and ambiance, too. We will definitely be coming back.

The one on Hwy 78 is closed due to kitchen fire. I called there last week got no answer. I ate there last year and enjoyed my meal.

Gave them a second try since reopening. Food has really horrible lacks flavor nothing like before the fire. They are going for a pricey fine dining vibe they missed the mark. Staff weren't very customer service friendly in correcting orders they messed up. Do Better!

We had a group of 30 and the staff went above and beyond in accommodating us. The service was excellent- Veronica and Valeria were amazing! Great atmosphere and excellent food!

Wow! This place has really changed since the fire. Finally opened for business. Drive by on my way to running errands and just had to stop even though it wasn't a planned stop. So here are the changes for you old timers. Restaurant is totally updated to 2024 styles (see picture). Menu is really pared down (see picture) but the good news is they still have the crazy taco and the wonderful tocayo salsa. Yummy! The chips get served different (they are tortilla strip chips) and at lunch they gave me a sample dipping tray (see pic). The new patio is fabulous but HWY 78 is soo loud it really distracted me and I don't think I will choose patio seating again because the noise was over the top. Not Frontera's fault. I like the combo 1/2 booth/chair split they have all over the restaurant. Plus size people choose the booth side not the chair side. If you weight more than 150 lbs don't sit in that chair you've topped out the rating. The legs are these little spindly metal twigs and they will make the skin slide off your teeth when you drag them across the floor. They look fantastic but I don't see them lasting. I sat at one for 3 1/2 seconds and decided to get up while the getting was good. I've posted a few pictures so you can check out some of the changes. I got the crazy burrito and could not finish it. Service was great. Food was about the same as before. So I imagine I will have to find my new favorite on the redone menu. They do have a lunch menu too. If management is listening the parking spaces are too tight you need wider parking spots pls. I'm constantly seeing the driver having to pull out of the spots to let passengers get in and out with damage to their car or others.

AleJandra was excellent, I was amazed how she acknowledged me on every plate I asked about she was very patient and always had a nice and beautiful smile. I am absolutely coming back.

So, I was using the bathroom and the door couldn't open. I desperately screamed, but nothing worked. After over like 10-20 minutes, someone opened the door. I couldn't open it from the inside but only a person can open it from the outside. Also, the bathrooms are super tight so I felt like I was about to just pass out.

Came here for a baby shower. Service was slow and 4/10 you could tell the waitress was overwhelmed and couldn't handle the large party even with the help she had and she never came to check on us after we got our drinks or food . A lot of people including myself said the food was subpar, not good, or nothing special. The margaritas were salty or tasted like straight juice had to send mine back and just decided to get a water. Won't be back.

Dropped in for a quick meal. I've been going to Frontera's Mexican since I was in my teens, so didn't mind it when my coworkers mentioned eating here. It's in a strip shopping center and weirdly placed in the middle. Not a lot of parking space near the entrance. We were seated quickly in a booth and they brought us out the chips and salsa. They serve two different types of salsa here: spicy and smoky. The spicy was good, smoky was meh and the chips were decent. Our waiter was quick with everything and food came fast. I had the fajita quesadilla with chicken. It came out with a huge quesadilla and not cut into pieces. No sides, just lettuce, sour cream, some cheese and tomatoes (didn't look our taste like pico). I wasn't really a fan of how they did the quesadilla and I didn't like the taste, plus no pico or rice/beans with it. I wouldn't recommend it. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 for the service. Ok, but probably won't be back again to this side of town.

What you need to know: Big portions, mostly Tex-mex - so not super authentic, but still very flavorful, decent value for their staples, yet overpriced for any specials. Used to come here a lot in my high school days, and decided to order via UberEats today as I had a craving. Definitely brought me back - same great flavors. Food: Went with the tried and true xochitl soup and decided to try the vampiro tacos. The xochitl soup had great flavor that complimented both the chicken and the rice in it perfectly. The sliced avocado gave a nice creaminess to the soup and the added diced jalapeño gave it a nice kick. Perfect for a cold day. The vampiro tacos were ok. They came in a set of 3 huge tacos. The steak was slightly overdone, but still flavorful and very cheesy. I probably wouldn't order them again since they're not my style, but I can see why people like them a lot. Tons of flavors and cheese - who wouldn't like that? I got a bag of chips and salsa with my meal and the chips were perfectly crispy, while the salsa was top notch - full of flavor without being too much heat. Price: Ended up paying about $40 with tip and delivery fee included. Too much for what I got. The tacos were definitely overpriced at almost $18 for just three of them, but the soup was well worth it. All in all, this continues to be one location that seems to be consistent with their food. You won't like everything, but you'll find some consistent gems for yourself - like the xochitl soup for me. Definitely will be ordering from here again.

Bad bad experience....let me say im not trying to tell anyone else not to patronize this establishment. (this was my 1st visit and I don't know how they normally operate) I just want to share my experience. Upon entering in this restaurant around 1330 hrs. Today Monday afternoon. There was one beautiful sister waiting in the reception area, I greeted her as I normally do I love and respect all people even those I never met before. along with this lady waited I for about 5-10 minutes. During this time we were joined by 1 more brother and 4-6 people of European decent. Then the ushers came out greeted the Europeans have them seated, leaving the 3 of us non Europeans standing around without even a welcome greeting. I just shamefully exit through the rear door.

First off the service was awful. I would've been more understanding if it was busy but there was only another lady in there. The salsa is thick and spicy which was very good. I over heard the waitress talking to the other lady and they had accidentally ordered her food to be to go and it was the wrong order. We found a hair in the nachos. The fajitas were dry and tasteless. They forgot the tortillas and then when reminded to bring it again they forgot. The whole time we were there the whole rang multiple times and I didn't hear anybody answer it once. Later that night we alllllll got sick from the food there. It tore all of our stomachs up. They were really nice people but this business really needs improvement. Maybe it was a really bad off day.

We've been there 3x now. Lol. We've only ever done togo, which is nice you can do it right on the Yelp app. Just a warning that my app shut down and placed a order and when we came there were two orders for our party but thankfully grub hub was able to fix it. Yesterday, I tried their pineapple pork tacos (4 tacos with rice). Mo got a chimichanga (again) and we tried the nachos (don't do it for to-go, it's not good to go). I can't wait for them to reopen so we can dine in. But idk our backyard is pretty chill to eat too.

Listen I originally counted this place out, until I ordered the monster taco.. let me say it was divine, I had the shredded chicken with extra salsa. The Mexican food here is not really authentic, however it was still delicious.

We have been patronizing this restaurant for approximately 20 years. Yesterday Cinco de Mayo was probably the worst Mexican restaurant experience we have had around the Atlanta area. Food Fajitas deluxe Tasteless , Service Horrible, Slow, unattended, had to get up and talk to Mgr and items needed to start meal took forever. Food was getting cold waiting. Overpriced and no follow up to check on Food satisfaction. We had always enjoyed this restaurant for quality of food and service but I can tell you this was not the same.. P.S. music playING, a far touch of Mexican for Cinco de Mayo...poor management perhaps? CDE

I have never wished, nor wanted someone to lose their job. However I'll make an exception for the young lady that was working the front today. She is the one how put me on while for 21 minutes and hung up after I had driven back and requested to speak with her manager. I placed an order through DoorDash for pickup. Steak crazy taco no tomatoes, I'm allergic. I get ground beef crazy taco covered in tomatoes. Check your food before you leave if you're doing carry out. My food was replaced by the manager. I will have to wait and see if my food is credited like she said it would Ashley N @ frontera I haven't heard anything back and I haven't received my credit as of yet. Well follow-thru didn't happen. Out of sight of mind. I would frequent Frontera at least 2-3 times a month. This has been such a negative encounter I can honestly say that I will not come back EVER again.

Still excellent service! Alot of businesses have closed and suffered tremendously during the pandemic. This place has remained true. Great service, food and drinks. I so love the bartender that's been there awhile. I will miss this place when I move out of state!

When I tell you, that I have never been more infuriated by a restaurant, I mean it! I was on hold for 9 minutes, to make my order. When the female returned to the phone, she apologized for the wait and put me on hold again, for an additional two minutes. She returned to the call and I made my order. I ordered the Chimichanga, with steak and extra jalapeño cheese. She said ok, and it will be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I said ok, and I hung up. As soon as I hung up, I called back immediately, because I wanted to change the steak to pork. (I forgot that I couldn't have anything chewy, because of dental work.) When I called back, I said " Hi, I just called and placed an order, and I want to change it." She said ok and put me on hold. I was on hold for 7 minutes, when she came back to the phone. I then again, explained that I wanted to change my order. Y'all wanna know what she told me? She said that it was too late to change my order, because they had already started making it. I looked at my phone, noted how long I was on hold, and told her that that was their fault. Before I allowed myself to get out of character, I told her to cancel the order. She said ok. I was so disappointed and beside myself, that I called back so that I could speak to the manager. Y'all wanna know what happened after that? Ok! I'll tell you. She put me on hold for about 30 seconds, came back to the phone, and said "the manager said she is busy and to call her back in 10 minutes." I WILL BE DAMMED y'all. Never again, will I support this Frontera. Poor customer service, unprofessionalism, and disregard. The sad thing is, I was going to give them a 3 star, because this is the 3rd time that I ordered from them, in the 9 days. I hadn't got around to it. The food is ok! I do like their Chimichanga, because it is full with meat, and its fried! I know that this restaurant has potential. Unfortunately, the people who work there, don't give a damn. At a time like this, with this virus going around,, most restaurants appreciate business. This one does not.

Maya is LITERALLY the example to be set! She is so polite and helpful with out a question! I end up with a smile before I even get my food! Service goes a long way with me! And she gets it! THANK YOU!!!

The food at Frontera was well seasoned. I ordered the carnitas and they were juicy and delicious! The server Brian was very attentive and I loved the customer service here. I sat outside on the large patio. Great vibes In Stone Mountain

The food was not great at all. My luncheon fajita chicken was horribly dry and had no taste. The chicken tasted like bag strips of chicken. I was given the fajitas without tortillas and when I asked for them it took forever for them to bring it to us. We also found an eyebrow hair or eyelash in the nachos. When we got home all of us had stomach aches from the food and was not feeling well at all. The service was also horrible. The server took forever when we asked for anything and would often forget the item we asked for. She was also not very welcoming and had an attitude.

I've passed by this place several times and finally decided to try it. Horrible and the food was bland!!!! I had the fish and shrimp tacos and it tasted like they didn't put any seasoning in it!!! That's the main reason that I frequent Mexican restaurants because of the seasonings and spices. I will never visit this place again!!! UGH!!

This was a most joyous night. I apent time with my family at this resturant. We calles ahead to book a reservation. They explained that there would be a 45min wait. We arrived and were seated immediately. We had a party of 14 including kids. The staff was very accommodating. She was bery attentative and got our ordera correct. The food came out hot and we had no issues. We ordered drinks, and the drinks were good. This was not my first time at this location. I would revisit here again. I recommend this location if you are in the area and are in the mood for mexican cuisine. Good job!
