All the Food Vendors Opening at Oceanside’s Frontwave Arena | Eater San Diego

"A new 7,500-capacity arena in Oceanside is set to launch later this month, with programming that kicks off on Monday, September 16 with two dates for the Gold Over America Tour starring Simone Biles and other world-class athletes, followed by a grand opening concert by CAKE on October 5 and a preseason showcase between the LA Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets on October 8. It will serve as the new headquarters for the San Diego Sockers and the G-League team of the LA Clippers, rebranded this summer as the San Diego Clippers. No outside food or drink will be allowed, and co-founder Josh Elias has signed Liquid Sportsgroup to curate and operate all on-site food and beverage across concourse concessions, 16 luxury suites, VIP viewing decks, lounges, bars, an open-air patio, and a grand plaza that will also host performances and events." - Candice Woo

Enjoyed the Frontwave Arena while going there for the Zach Williams Revival Tour Oct 2025. I don't believe any seats are bass unless you're somehow behind the artist. The venue is not too large so you won't feel like you're in the nosebleed section anywhere. I walked around the whole arena on the main floor in about 5-6 minutes taking my time. It was pleasant there. The only negative drawback is their parking situation. First of all, it's ridiculously priced, $40 lot A close or $21 for dirt lot B, not that far away. Getting in and getting out is a madhouse and takes quite a bit of time. Expect to take 45 minutes to get out after an event. That's crazy, along with the parking prices. Minus 2 stars due to poor overall parking.

I finally got a chance to visit the new Frontwave Arena in Oceanside! I came out for Lisa Lisa's 40th Anniversary Can I Take You Home Tour. It's a great venue, especially to hold concerts and other events, but I would say the sound could use improvement. Better speakers and hsving them placed through the Arena would give it a full concert experience.

Always a fun time. Attended the Clippers vs Lions Game and had a blast. Excellent seats and honestly not a bad seat in the place. Parking was easy. The vibe was fun. I even enjoyed a souvenir cup soda with no refill. Happy 1st Birthday Frontwave!

New and beautiful facility. Difficult to find the seating section. The numbers were very confusing and they were very few people to give guidance. Seats were hard. Lights during the music concert were so bright and flashing toward the audience that we could hardly look at the stage. The stage lighting was so dark you couldn’t see any performer except the one in the front. I’m hoping this varies by event.? The sound bounced around. I don’t think the arena is made for music. I know it’s used for indoor soccer games and indoor football games . Parking was pretty rough. We paid $20 to park on dirt. I had to drive in slow motion just to get there and it took a long time to get out. One road in, one out. Two lanes wide done of the time. The arena only held 7500 people so it should not have been that bad. I wished I had taken the Sprinter and walked up from there. The Sprinter is only two dollars per adult. Can’t bring in a sealed water bottle, only an empty one but the water in Oceanside tastes bad so bring a flavoring. Buying water can be a $6 purchase. Only bring clear purses. Had trouble with ticket purchase, waited in a very long line to rectify. Many people had trouble with tickets. Could take 5 min/person to get help. Only 2 windows open. Employees were all nice.

I've been to Frontwave Arena twice, and both times I had a great time. The First time I went to the San Diego Soccer's game. My seats were excellent and they won that night, so it was fantastic. The second time was for a concert. It's a great place for a concert because there isn't a bad seat in the house. The drinks and food are pricey and the parking was expensive. I really recommend going to Fronteave Arena. I will keep my eye on the concerts coming up, because I want to go again.

I took mom to her first concert ever. We saw Ben Haggard open up singing his father Merle’s songs. The Mavericks came out in a flurry and rocked the house with their blend of English and Spanish influences and alone were worth the price of the tickets. But then Dwight Yoakum came on stage with an hour and a half set followed by an encore. The sound was clear and loud and left us feeling the music. The Frontwave has the best darn security of any venue I’ve ever been to, and we welcomed it. We felt SAFE. I had trouble getting through the crowd lined up on the sidewalk with mom in her wheelchair, so I was going to have her get out so I could walk on the street that was blocked from any moving traffic. Once I got mom to her feet, a security officer hustled over out of nowhere to help me. He had me get her back in the chair on the sidewalk and he walked in front of us, moving everyone to the left so we could pass on the right. We thanked everyone as we went! He walked us clear to end of the line and guided me to the ADA entrance. That entrance was a ramp that takes you directly to the walkway that circles the arena. This was also the ADA level seating for wheelchairs. I must say Frontwave takes real good care of their ADA visitors. There are even at least a couple if not a few Family Restrooms, but there are plenty of stalls in the full size restrooms. The way the arena is set up, every seat is a good seat. You can’t go wrong in a 7500 patron seating venue. There are several bars serving drinks and while the food is as expensive as unexpected (24 oz Modelo was $19!) I wasn’t there for the food. I was there to be entertained and my mother’s limitations respected. That all scored a 25+ on a scale of 1-10! If I had anything to complain about, it’d be the missing curtain. There are blackout curtains all around the arena on the entry level to block out the lights on concourse. From where we sat in Section 103-seats 13 and 14, our peripheral vision was attacked by blinding light from a higher level where they definitely need a blackout curtain. The arena is great and with the prices charged I am sure they can afford one more large blackout curtain where my attached photo shows how violent that light was. We did not appreciate that. Far as I’m concerned, we should get a courtesy voucher for that disturbing distraction. I’d appreciate a response from arena management about resolving that issue. New arena, new issues arise, but what will you do about it? Anything? It’d only be right. We did not go to the outside tables at the large bar seen in video, but maybe next time. We will definitely be back. I’ll just try to avoid section 103 at all costs. Our next event will be in October. Already bought the tickets. Section 113 this time. Yeah Buddy!

Google
Nice cozy arena, but parking could have been designed and managed way better. Cars backed up for a long way for such a small arena. Took 45 minutes sitting in a slow moving line just to get parked, then 30 more minutes to get out of the parking lot with cars darting all over to find the quickest exit. Quick getting inside the venue once in line for security.

We purchased tix for the Oceanside fireworks show tonight. We got “GA Plaza” tix for the SD Zoo Safari Park Party area outside FrontWave Arena. First thing we noticed was there is a $15 charge for parking, of which we were not made aware. And it didn’t grant us access to the “A” lot, which is closest to the “party area”. Second, we noticed lots of locals carrying lawn chairs and coolers a good distance west of where we were seated for our “VIP area seating“. They know where the display will be set off. I’m not expecting to be impressed. The “premium food“ options are… way overpriced hot dogs and nachos. “Fresh popcorn” is also apparently available. Premium? NOT! We purchased 3 hot dogs, two adult beverages, and some peanut M&m’s. No prices were listed (which I don’t think is even LEGAL!). It was over 74 dollars. 🤯😳🤬. That is NOT a misprint. These had better be some Mind-Blowing fireworks!! 🤞🎆🎇🇺🇸

Yelp
Not a bad seat in this whole arena. It's small, think just the lower half of Sports Arena. I've attended several concerts and basketball games here now, and no matter where I sit, I still have a stellar view. Food sounded exciting with Cardiff Crack and Tanners in the house, but it is basically a premade version that's kept under heat lamps, so not nearly the same as the original. Drinks are good and strong. However, the lines to get drinks is super long even with multiple bars throughout. Athletic beers available for a nonalcoholic option.

Yelp
This review is specifically related to a concert that I attended a few nights ago (Rick Springfield's I Want My 80s Tour). Sight: I love this venue! Visually, there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house unless it's an obstructed seat. It's small enough to feel intimate. We were in front row of section 215 looking down onto the stage. We could lean onto the glass and clearly see the bands. Sound: This is where things turned for the worst. I will speak about where sat but I believe this was the case with the entire upper seating (2nd floor). The sound quality was absolutely horrendous. We couldn't comprehend anything anyone was saying through the mic. Every component of the music was saturated. We weren't sure whether it was caused by bad mics or sound mixing or placements of the speakers. Normally, I thought that sound travels up but the acoustics was just plain bad. If I had to give an analogy relative to San Diego, I'd imagine it to be like living in an apartment with semi-bad sound insulation near the stadium during a concert and having all the doors and window closed...except, the sounds from the stadium would come in much cleaner. It was BAD. This was such a huge disappointment because the bands that night were amazing. Rick Springfield and Wang Chung were the highlights of my night. The venue has a ton of potential if the sound quality issues are resolved. Traffic in and out of there was manageable. Parking in Lot B was relatively well organized and it's location is super close to the arena.

Yelp
Last night I went and saw the "I want my 80's tour" featuring Paul Young, Wang Chung, John Waite and Rick Springfield. A friend had a ticket and invited me last minute. It was the first time I've been to an event here since the grand opening. To start, I still do not like the parking situation here at all. It's too expensive and it sells out. I watched numerous people parking with barely enough room to get out of their cars, and these weren't heavy people. We were there early and we saw the line to get in so we waited in the car for a little while. The rules of what you can bring and can't bring inside are pretty strict so read them carefully. I saw several people having to return to their cars to put items in that were not allowed. Once we got to the front and were scanned through it was pretty empty inside. The restroom was clean and well stocked on the first visit. The food and beverage prices were very expensive (I know it's pricy at all the venues) for food that's sitting under a heat lamp but I knew that going in and didn't plan to order anything. We got to our seats and watched people file in at a slow trickle. Even at the end of the night, there were lots of empty seats, not sure if it's the venue or the musicians. It was quite a mixed crowd. Most of the bands were good. I appreciated the sound for the most part. I could mostly understand what the musicians were playing, singing, and saying. There was a short break between each of the bands, which I also appreciated. My second bathroom visit wasn't as good as the first, there was no toilet paper in some of the stalls and there was toilet paper all over the floor. There was a nice cooling breeze during the concert which was great and I've never found that at any other venue. Living in north county it's nice to have a venue close by. Hopefully, the longer it's open the better the bands will become and it will become a more desired place to go.

Yelp
I attended the 80s concert at Frontwave Arena last night. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there are definitely some areas for improvement. Lot B parking was organized, after paying $20 attendant will direct us to our spot. The line to get in was manageable, bag checks were in place. Prices at the concession was extremely high Never again, definitely a rip off! the seating were small and uncomfortable . Lightning was disappointing, the venue really needs to invest a better lightning and sounds system. The audio quality was harsh, my eardrums were not happy!

Yelp
Cool Arena used for sports, concerts, and other events. I attended a fundraiser/gala but instead of the usual fancy ballgowns the dress code was sports gear. Fun! There's a spacious parking lot directly in front of the entrance. Can't speak to how crowded it would be for a public event but there's plenty of parking. Inside there are food vendor or merch stalls that line the hallway before going down to your seats and the arena. I saw that Lisa Lisa was performing soon. Hoping to be able to attend another event here!

Yelp
First time at this venue, the layout was similar to SDSU arena mostly for basketball games, but could be used for concerts which I attended tonight for Dream Theater 40th Anniversary, the seating sections were great, a lot of spaces around, easily access, have reserved ada since my wife is pregnant I did request that for her and went to my regular seat which was down on the floor area, the concert sound system was best. Parking was $20 according to the staff who stopped me and told me they gave me a discount because of my ADA placard, not sure how much they charged for regular, but they take cards only and no receipt

Yelp
If you have an account at Frontwave Credit Union, flash your ATM card to get entry through the VIP line! I've been here twice now. The first was for a soccer game. From what I could tell, not a bad seat in the house. The second time was for a comedy show. Also, it appeared there was not a bad seat in the house. Someone recently told me that the arena was designed as such so that all seats are pretty good! They have several decent food options including burgers, hot dogs and tacos. Be prepared to pay arena prices for food, beverages and parking! The bathrooms are big and clean. The seats are a bit tight.

Yelp
Super disappointing. Poor organization & execution. We came for the July 3 fireworks Party in the Plaza. They marketed food - it's just hot dogs, stale popcorn, stale chips & congealed cheese they call nachos. It's mostly inedible & they keep running out of stuff. They ran out of bottled water You can't leave & go over to the food trucks & re-enter. 4 little marketing booths & 1 set of corn hole.

Yelp
Came here for a concert and was pleasantly surprised. It was super clean, well organized, with plenty of parking. You have to bring a clear bag instead of a purse but that wasn't a big deal. The acoustics were good and the seats were decent for the price. I'm looking forward to attending more events here.

Yelp
Frontwave Arena needs a complete overhaul and they just opened! As a proud Oceanside resident who fully supports local growth and law enforcement, it pains me to say this but this venue has been nothing short of a disappointment every time I've visited. There's potential here, but it's being buried by poor management, unprofessional staff, and chaotic event execution. Security is a disaster. Teams are inconsistent, untrained, and slow. From unclear bag policies to profiling patrons at the bar, it's clear there's a major lack of training and leadership. I support police, but what's happening here feels more like a wannabe cop show than genuine public safety. It's uncomfortable and unnecessary. The website is unreliable. It lacks basic information like banned items, clear parking instructions, or policy updates. For a facility of this size, that's unacceptable. Parking is a nightmare: * $40 for parking during concerts--ridiculous for a local arena. * No prepay options or live updates. * Poorly marked lots and zero guidance from attendants. * 30-45 minute waits to exit after events. * Inconsistent pricing with no transparency. * ADA spots poorly labeled. * No visible security presence after dark--doesn't feel safe. My recent experience at the Ashanti concert on May 9, 2025, summed it all up: * Alcohol sales stopped at 10 PM--even though the concert ended at 11:30. * After waiting 30 minutes at the main bar, I was turned away without warning. * Seating is extremely tight and uncomfortable for concerts. * Honestly, the best part of the night was the street hotdog vendor outside cheaper, tastier, and faster than anything inside. During Clippers G League games, the energy is dead. It feels like a family-only crowd from the teams, and while I appreciate the live DJ and host trying to hype it up, packing VIP with local influencers can't cover up the lack of genuine fan experience. Heard the soccer games are good! This venue could be a jewel for Oceanside but right now, it's an overpriced, poorly run mess. From the top down, the operation needs accountability and a serious commitment to improving the guest experience. One star. Do better!

Yelp
I attended a G League game at Frontwave Arena to watch the Clippers face off against the Memphis Hustle, cheering on my nephew. Driving in from Los Angeles, I found parking to be very inexpensive with multiple options available. the cheapest was on a dirt lot I did that one night for 15.00. The area also has plenty of good restaurants for a meal beforehand, though I didn't try the food inside the arena. The seats were affordable and offered a great view of the game. One standout aspect was the incredibly kind and accommodating staff, who made the experience even more enjoyable. I attended two games here, and both times everyone was really nice.

Yelp
Attended the Championship Sockers Game 1 of a beat of three series and it was a fun time. Good crowd and tons of goals and amazing defensive stops. Parking at Lot A was great! Being able to get out of my car and into the arena in 5 minutes was amazing. My seats couldn't be beat - front and center for all the back and forth action. No lines for food and drink or the restroom. Sockers Won! Priceless. I'll be back again.

Yelp
It was my first live basketball game and it was so fun! It was Star Wars theme that night, so they had a photo booth and people dressed up as well. Since we were courtside, we had a server take our order at our seats. I got a pretzel and hot dog, but they also have popcorn and candies. Hubby got a beer. Since we were so close, the ball would come by my head several times lol. It was a good game- the SD clippers won against the Texas Rangers!

Yelp
Hey, North County San Diego has an arena. Sports, concerts, basket weaving, whatever. I guess the San Diego Clippers of the NBA "G" League, whatever that is, play here. Anyway, count me in. There isn't a bad seat in this very intimate arena. There is just under 3,500 seats and nearly all of them are on the floor level. So don't worry about getting seats closest to the floor. They are almost all close to the floor. Parking is a breeze, or at least it was for us. Although I purchased parking in the "B" lot (for peasants), they directed me into the "A" ("Premier") lot, which is literally a few steps away from the entrance. Exiting was a bit of a pain. There were a lot of workers standing around, not directing anyone. It took about 15 minutes to exit so it was not that bad. They were supposed to open the doors at 11:30 a.m. but opened them at 11:45 a.m. Come on, guys. The arena itself looks and feels very new. You can probably walk around the inside of it in less than 10 minutes, at a brisk pace. There are several food stands (all local businesses, I believe) inside although the food is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. A cheeseburger, fries (massive portion), soft drink, and popcorn cost almost $40. So, watch out for those prices. They were not all open during our visit, likely because the arena was far from full capacity. There were a number of stands for beer (all closed) but the beers all seemed to be locals, which is nice. Overall, this is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Checked out the new Frontwave Arena in Oceanside for the affiliated LA Clippers G league team. Very nice arena! They also hold other venues like the indoor SD soccer team and other major events. It is a little far but it's worth it if they have major events there. Parking is big and easy to get to.
google avatar

Luz O.

Yelp
First and foremost to begin with, as a local, it is exciting that we're getting a stadium in Oceanside for local small events. This indoor soccer brought together a lot of locals together, and families to enjoy the exciting game. The stadium was a lot smaller than what I would have imagined. It's equivalent to a high school stadium. Make sure you read the clear bag policy and the prohibited items before making your way to the arena. Staff was very friendly and professional. There was no charge for the parking lot so that is a plus . They had food available in the stadium. I would consider it to be on the pricey side, hot dog and a drink were like $15 , and alcoholic canned drinks were $15 each. This was a great place to bring families! I would consider it to be affordable for this indoor soccer game. It was roughly $60 and The kids were having a blast, enjoying the games . The stadium seating was a bit snug . They do have other seating area near the bars on the outer area areas. The chairs looked a lot more comfier and you have somewhat of a comfortable experience with a tall chairs and tables. I definitely hope to come back and experience, future events .

Yelp
Purchase parking in advance to save a little money. It's $15 online or $20 in person for the GA parking lot. Be aware that this parking lot is a dirt lot. There is a small bag policy here, so make sure you look at their website for the size limits. We saw someone get turned away for a purse that was too big. They don't have bag lockers or anything like that, so might as well be prepared before you arrive. Due to the size of the location, there aren't any bad seats in the house. The fees and taxes are almost as much as the ticket price itself. Food and drinks are more grab and go style. Food is in boxes under heat lamps and drinks are either in fridges or poured (if you go to a bar). I recommend checking out the patio bar area which has plenty of seating and a few fire pits.

Yelp
Oceanside has finally arrived! We are so fortunate to have this new arena for concerts, sports and entertainment in our backyard. A perfect place to see a performance, especially if you are from North San Diego or South OC. I waited to write this; as I wanted to attend several events before forming an opinion. It is often difficult for a business starting out with a new facility, vendors and staff. We wanted to experience different events at various levels and locations within the venue for perspective; including the food and beverage options. Let's not forget parking lots and traffic management. We attended the opening event; Gold Across America with Simone Biles and the US Olympics gymnastics team +. We had VIP tix on the floor and were thrilled to attend this unique performance and see the GOAT. Next, we attended the opening concert for CAKE. The perfect call and response performance. We sat in the back row of the main section, just in front of the curtain to grab a Cutwater Spirits beverage. Lastly, we attended the first pre-season game for the LA Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets. We sat in the front row (not the floor) with a nice view of the court and press section. Straight down from Tanner's Burgers, the best. For the pros and cons: Pros: Top notch sound and lighting. Speedy entrance for both parking and the building, once it is open. Love Cutwater Spirits and Tanner's Burgers, both local companies. Seating is generally easy and fairly comfortable. Max, 6500 seats, the perfect size venue; not to big, not too small. Love everything is mostly on one level. Cons: Lighting during the sporting event, as we sat low was terrible. The lights were pointed directly at us. The lighting is softer and is taken down at other games elsewhere, I wore my sunglasses at Frontwave due to severe glare. Everyone doesn't arrive at once but everyone leaves at once making departure much slower, unless you choose to leave early. Parking costs are high. Recommendations: I would recommend they open the doors 30 minutes earlier so guests could enjoy food and beverage options on the patio for pre-show. It would lower the wait time in line and spread out the crowd. I would add at least one cold food vendor vs having to use heat lamps. I would like to see sandwiches and tacos. Hungry Bear? Taco Bar? Homestate? Board & Brew? Options are good, local is good. Welcome Frontwave! We look forward to returning to our community, backyard venue! #Welcome #FrontwaveArena #OceansideCA #TannersBurgers #CutwaterSpirits

Yelp
I love how intimate it is. Every seat is a good seat! Food and drink or averaged price. 10-20 bucks depending on what you are getting.

Yelp
I had been hearing quite a bit about this new arena and was fortunate enough to go on opening night to see Gold Over America. I'll go over my experience - both the good and the bad. I thought we left with a good amount of buffer time (basically arrive 45 min before the show start). But traffic control was horrible! There were 2 left turn lanes off of the main road but waited about 4 light cycles before we could finally turn (about 30 min wait). Not to mention there was a person "trying" to control traffic but was not doing a good job, and there was another just milling about. From there I thought the parking was right there but I was wrong. It consisted of another left turn then curved back and around where many lanes merged and again lots of traffic control people standing about. I know it was opening night and perhaps they weren't trained well, but I sincerely hope it gets better. It took nearly an hour to park in the non-paved lot (reminds me of Del Mar fairgrounds), making us about 10 min late to the show. The arena itself is nice and new and liked how they had a large bar right as you enter. As people have said, this arena is on the smaller side and there isn't a bad seat in the house, that much is true. However, I do wish there were more people to assist with finding our seats and lighting was a little better. I saw a woman fall when trying to get to her seats. The rows are very tight and there appeared to only be one bathroom on the main level. I also found it a little strange that there were black curtains surrounding the seating area on the main level - they closed the curtains so people getting drinks or food couldn't see the show. I mean, we paid to the see the show! The show itself was excellent and love the more intimate feel. The set up for the gymnasts was also great along with the lighting and big screen. Upon leaving, the merchandise stand was actually outside which I thought was a little odd. Getting out of the parking lot was a little easier than getting in but again, lots of cars merging and traffic people standing at corners directing you where to go when there only is one way to go anyways. I'm not sure that I would return and I really do hope they improve as time goes on.

Yelp
Parking was easy to find, $15-30. Frontwave is a great place to see a basketball G league game or a concert! Every seat in the arena is good! Good view to the court and great acoustics. The food choices are very pricey so recommend to eat before but if you need a snack, Seaside Market and Tanner Prime are good choices.

Yelp
I have been looking forward to visiting this new arena since I am a local. My family and I went to a Strike Force Football Game there. Parking is a little hectic with the Traffic Cricle and employees trying to direct traffic and everything. But that is to be expected at an event like that. The arena is nice and it was cool to be so close to the game and players. This place does NOT take cash so be prepared for that. Also, of course, the food and drinks are expensive but that is also to be expected. I think it is so nice that the local High Schools can hold their Graduation Ceremonies there now. My son is going to be graduating from there next year and I am excited and grateful for that opportunity!

Yelp
Rey clean brand new facility! Great seating and lots of great places to get good arena food and drinks for your entertainment. Staff was professional and friendly we will definitely be back we enjoyed our time supporting the SD Clippers win over the South Bay Lakers. Great DJ, and crowd interaction. We plan on going back the 2March for military appreciation day as we are Vets

Yelp
I AM (AND SO CAN YOU!) Beneath the crumbled rubble of a once-thriving silica mining site, an astonishing structure emerges skyward. This grandiose arena captivates all who lay eyes on it, hinting at life-changing moments yet to be revealed. The 170,000-square-foot Frontwave Arena at the El Corazón sports complex will welcome its first guests next month. The stadium will host the MASL Champion SD Sockers, the NBA Champion-adjacent Clippers (G League), and one other sports team soon to be known (hint: not the Chargers). Located in the heart (corazón) of Oceanside at the intersection of Oceanside Blvd and Rancho del Oro, the venue will also host up to 7,600 screaming fans for events, Rastafarian hairdresser conventions, and concerts. Looking ahead at the schedule, my favorite band TBA will be playing here a lot. With 16 luxury suites, a full-service Levy restaurant, eight bars, three VIP viewing decks, two exclusive lounges, and an open-air patio, you won't go wanting. The concourse level will also offer a variety of craft food and beverage options and not just hotdogs. The name originates from Frontwave Credit Union, formerly known as Pacific Marine Credit Union, who jumped on the naming rights. Let's hope the "Enron Curse" doesn't hit Frontwave like it did Enron Field, TWA Dome, PSINet Stadium, 3Com Ballpark, or Conseco Fieldhouse. Featuring a brand new floor, brand new restrooms, and brand new seats... Frontwave Arena and it's new-stadium-smell is set to change the face of entertainment in North County San Diego. Pro tip: for $500 you can purchase a tile at The Community Corner with your name, business, or tribute etched forever into the legacy of Frontwave Arena. It's not a Kobe statue... but it's something. Will.i.am bought one that says "Will.he.was" .

Yelp
Finally, I got the opportunity to visit the new Frontwave Arena after someone gave us tickets to the San Diego Sockers they couldn't use. I've been looking forward to an actual arena being built in my hometown. Being able to see concerts, sporting events and other events without having to drive to San Diego and dealing with all that traffic made me do an internal happy dance. Fortunately, our tickets included Premium parking so our parking was a bit closer than general parking, which from what I could tell when I went out on the outdoor deck, which was awesome by the way, would involve a little hike from the lot to the arena. The few staff (parking and security) we interacted with before entering the arena were friendly and efficient. Entered the arena and was pleased with what I saw. We walked around the concourse a couple times, checking out our food and drink options and went to our seats. The sight lines were very good and from what I could tell they should be good throughout the arena. This is where my pleasure with the arena ended. Let's talk about what negatives we encountered. The seats. Oh my, who the heck tested though seats before deciding they should be put in this arena? Whoever designed and approved the set up must have worked for an airline at one time because they were looking more at making a buck vs attendee/ticket holder comfort. They added one or two too many seats per row which means smaller seats with zero elbow room. If they had bodies test the seats, they must have been a size 8-10 woman and an average size 13 yr old boy. Anyone, like us, who has a little extra padding on the body, will need to bring oil/Vaseline so you can grease up your hips to get in the seats. Don't be too tall either or your knees will be jammed up against the back of the seat in front of you. We noticed quite a few people seated with their arm laying on the back of the seat next to them otherwise their arms/shoulders would be squished together. Everyone in my party felt the same way about the seats. Next the prices of concessions. Holy schmoly. I get arenas and stadiums charge more but dang, the prices were ridiculous. I was even shocked to see they charged $11.99 for cotton candy. Seriously it's sugar and air! The lemonade was $15. Let's just say we didn't get either. I did try the Tanner's Fatty Patty, which is like an ice cream sandwich. First it was very small for $9 but the most important thing, I discovered I hate beef tallow ice cream. One bite was enough. Still grossed out thinking about it. As I mentioned at the beginning, I was so looking forward to attending events here but those seats were so uncomfortable I probably won't be attending any future events. I know some people will say, well lose weight. Yes, I should BUT the width of those seats is ridiculously narrow and no matter what size you are, who wants to spend their hard-earned money to be uncomfortable for 2+ hours? This is just a personal opinion and decision but I am confident in saying there are others who feel the same way.

Yelp
Today was a low-rider event in the parking lot. Blasting loud rap music all day long, DJ shouting swear words over loud speakers, we can hear every word. Several neighbors are making a petition to shut you down. Some neighbors will be calling the police. You are part of the community, act like it. Be considerate and realize the noise pollution you're causing. Also the light pollution with your bright LED lights shining into our windows, even after midnight. You have become a nuisance, it's like living next to a frat house.

Yelp
Horrible parking. $20 for a dirt lot that was quite the walk. Egress was 3 one-way lanes but not well signed. I was there for the first ever concert, Cake. The sound was good. GA Floor was full of energy, but since it is a basketball floor, not optimally angled for concert viewing. Bathrooms were nice (because it is a new venue). Lots of merch and concession locations. Clear bag rules according to the signs.

Yelp
First off, five stars to whoever decided to build an arena deep in Oceanside just five minutes from my house. Like, seriously. Before we had to drive an hour north to Irvine, or an hour south to Petco or Chula Vista. Now we have an arena for concerts, games, you name it right in our backyard. Love it! The arena is brand new so of course it's super clean. Drink prices are high as expected. Plus there's tax/tip. $18 for a well vodka tonic. $20 for a Ketel One tonic. They also have Cutwater canned cocktails, but paying a lot for a can of anything is just outrageous. Go have a drink at The Draft, The Junkyard, Enzo's or anywhere else then come here. And just wait till I get to parking. Bathrooms are a good size, but getting into and out of the bathroom is a weird endeavor due to the stanchions and retractable belts that guide people into the bathrooms. That area takes up way too much space! I can't imagine what the hallways would be like when it's sold out here. During our CAKE concert, many people were at the outside patio bar watching the Padres game (including us). Sad part is they only had one little TV out there for everyone to watch. They need to add more and make them bigger! And some outside if possible. Come on, TVs are cheap. The concert itself was great. I wish they had large Jumbotron somewhere in the middle of the venue so we could see the band members up closer, otherwise you are squinting to see what's happening on stage. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and my pics and videos in the dark were not that great. Maybe it's just a problem for us old-timers lol. Parking looks like a huge mess to me. When we pulled into the arena to park, all I could see is a huge sea of red brake lights of people trying to get in. Not much movement. At that point, I flipped a U-turn, crossed the intersection, and parked over by the hotels across the street. Plenty of free parking there and it was barely a 10 min walk. Best part, when we leave, it's instantaneous. No waiting in a single-file line to drive out which is bonkers. EDIT: We went to the Junkyard last night for karaoke and noticed a big sign saying no Front Wave parking (they had a rock concert there last night), or you will be towed. No worries, plenty of free parking elsewhere at the nearby businesses. Just stay away from the hotel parking lots. Overall, love the new arena! Can't wait to explore more, and grab some Tanner's burgers next time.

Yelp
Came here for a SD Clippers game and to check out the venue. Parking was easy and there were multiple entrances open. Given the size, there's no bad seats. Ample food and drink options but the food is grab and go so it wasn't very hot. The outdoor area is beautiful and stays open before and after events. Great addition to Oceanside!

Yelp
This is a somewhat new arena in Oceanside. First, they need to do better with handicapped access and parking - all of the spots were taken even though I had purchased in advance. Second, staff does not seem to know where to direct customers. We were told to go the wrong way to our seats. The arena itself is well laid out and all the seats have a good view. More staff training is needed to make the experience more enjoyable - seems unprofessional.

Yelp
Venue great, parking and leaving the event negative score. Took over 2 hours to even move our car 10 feet in the B lot. I highly recommend ride share, don't waste money and time in trying to park at the venue. Keep in mind it wasn't even a sold out event. 2 HOURS and still not even out of the lot. Worst parking experience I have had at an event ever.

Yelp
Not a bad seat in the whole arena. Only issue is entering and parking. May as well get there an hour before it starts (anything less than that will be ridiculous). There are no police or traffic control people so drivers are in the middle of the intersection blocking traffic. When you get inside, it's no better. I happen to be with my parents who have canes and a handicap placard so we were able to park close. They did mention you can pay for general parking but the very few lot attendants will show you to handicap parking. We went on the night Brony James was there and parking was chaos. However once inside, it was a beautiful place. Lots of places to eat, hang out and chill. You can get boxes for you and your crew. I believe this new arena seats 7,500 people. Handicap seating is available upstairs as soon as you walk in right past the bar with regular chairs no stadium seats (when purchasing tickets, specify you need a handicap seat we had to go back out and buy one). Very well lit and lots of walking space for big crowds. Can't wait to see what a music concert will be like. If the entering, parking and better explanation of handicap tickets were better I would give it a 5.

Yelp
That was an awesome night for our family of four. The family pack was perfect. Great arena soccer game too. Tanners Prime and Seaside Market are great concessions offerings! Top notch. Coming back for a basketball game soon.

Yelp
As a matter of fact this was your first rodeo. The AP that was required to get your ticket QR code was not user intuitive and MANY people were having the same issue all around us. The staff was uninformed about the whereabouts inside the facility in general. My handicapped husband walked all the way down to the bottom of the stairs only to be told we needed a wristband. Had to hike back which was not easy to obtain one. Security was ridiculously harsh and unfriendly - they had an ICE vibe about them. I saw them giving the outside vendors a very hard time. We paid close to $300 for our seats and was told we weren't allowed to step into the aisle (9.5' wide, I measured). Not a drop of alcohol or drugs were consumed. The Majority of the attendees were at least 50 years old. We were far from being a rowdy group as a whole. The only thing you did get right was the sound was pretty good. Visibility was also very good.

Yelp
If you look at the story behind how Frontwave Arena came to be with owner Phil Salvagio being a former San Diego Sockers goalie to being a part of this privately funded project it's kind of amazing. I doubt many know how hard it is for projects like these to come to fruition, let alone in our backyard. it's the biggest thing to happen to Oceanside in a while that isn't gentrification like the beach, it's where most of us actually live. I've been watching this get built over the last few months/years and decided to lock in my pricing with season tickets to the SD Clippers. I got my mom tickets to the Gold over America event which did have bad logistics for parking, but certainly not worth the harsh early ratings, VIP parking was easy peasy. Maybe come more than once to get a realistic opinion rather than a singular moody visit. I was there and there are 2 sets of bathrooms on the promenade for the Gold event, but only 1 for the AVP. The LA Clippers/Brooklyn Nets pre season game was also amazing and the AVP was cool to see them bring sand in. What's super cool is that the arena is also set up for ice so whenever the Gulls wanna come up we're ready for them. I was surpised they had CAKE be their 1st concert. The sockers season tickets are so cheap it's almost worth it to get them just in case you get bored and want something to do. Merchandise could be better promoted as I'd probably buy more if it was more in my face. Tanners Burgers are doing it right with their high quality beef burgers and tacos. They still have the usual suspects on hotdogs which are affordable compared to major stadiums like Sofi, Barlcays, Allegiant, Crypto. AXS is pretty user friendly and hope they one day use CLEAR for entry as well. Drinks are on the limited side as the sponsors are Modelo, and Cali Fino Tequila. In seat service is the way to go if the event is available. Cardiff Crack tastes surprisingly un crack like. That is to say there is something lost here and when you put it on nachos. When I buy it from Seaside and cook it at home it's better. I missed out on buying into the ticket bank and rail seating for every event, but alas I'm using my season tickets to market to clients, friends and family because when FWA has 100 events a year it's gonna be really buzzing as a destination. if i didn't live a drunk walk away I can easily see the nearby hotels being used by out of towners and local businesses really benefit as it's just a short walk. Public transpo isn't quite as easy if you have to go from a train to the sprinter which is 0.75 miles away with a decent hill.

Yelp
The seats are so close together, you are wedged in- and i'm 5'2 125 pounds and I was squished.

Yelp
Stopped selling beer at 9:30pm when the show just started and ends around 11pm! It was really expensive. $15+ for beers seltzers etc. I don't know about this place. Seems like it just opened and things are a little disorganized. Went to see the band Cake play. The acoustics were very good and I enjoyed the music but everything else about this place just seemed rookie...

Yelp
Freestyle Explosion Concert The venue was not well orangized at all. We had floor seats and trying to find access to the seats was an ordeal. We walked and ask a couple of employees who had no idea where the entrance to the floor seating was. Then when we were finally able to locate the entrance to the floor seating a bracelet is needed to gain access. We ask the employee who had no idea where to get our bracelet, so we had to ask around 5 employees to finally get some answers to where we get the bracelet to gain access into the floor in the arena. Our suggestion is that they need to provide larger signs and better communicate to their employees on information such as this so hundreds customers are upset by the lack of knowledge and organization a venue of this size needs. Large sign at all of the entrance to help communicate to the customers instead of walking around for 40 mins trying to figure it out on your own.

Yelp
We've been here twice, the quality of the experience is great, seats are nice and the audio/visual has been up to my expectation. I'm giving it 5 Stars because it's modern, clean, well executed, and highly staffed. Great location, too. The only concern I have is pricing. Parking in Oceanside is not to the $20/40 level, it's an open field with minimal pavement. $10/15 premium would be understandable. The other pricing concern is the alcohol, $16 for a craft beer is far too high for this area, we're working class! This isn't LA or even Downtown. $10 for beer would be way more realistic. For two people to each have a drink and eat and park is easily $100+, separate from the tickets. Otherwise, really excited to have this here! Can't wait to go to more events.

Yelp
Went for a SD Strikeforce game last night, been wanting to check this place out. Overall pretty cool...seats are comfortable, it's clean, decent food and drink options. Not really a bad seat in the house. Drinks are definitely pricier than they should be. Can't speak on the food except for the "dirty fries" from Tanners. Tasted fine, but the portion was laughably small for $15. I hardly eat and they didn't fill me up at all. Trying the Cardiff nachos next time.

Yelp
Seeing games on TV. Wow , Frontwave 20% Full. I think if you sold reasonably priced seat packages to real Hoop fans , maybe you will get to 25% capacity. They aren't the Bulls with Jordan LOL.

Yelp
From the staff, the security, and all around the arena the customer service was excellent.

Yelp
Went to see my first concert at Frontwave, the staff is still learning the ropes. But a genuinely nice experience. Drinks are stadium prices, no surprises there. Food was good. The Warning is a great rock band, such big music from three sisters. They really should have been the headliner. I hope they come back next year and fill the house. The other groups were good, sound and lighting were real good. No bad seats in the house. I had seats but was upgraded at the door to floor VIP. (Standing in room) I'm sure that's so the bands could feel the crowd) I hope for more good bands to come play.

Yelp
Good venue but parking is terrible. One way in and out with no one directing traffic to speed up the process. You sit for long periods of time going no where.

Yelp
Great, great new venue. It's so exciting to have a great local venue that is new, nice, and clean. Entry and exit are easy. Staff are great.

Yelp
So far I've been twice and I will be back. I'm not a huge sports fan but it was actually very interesting to watch. I went to the Sockers games both times. The family deal is fun and cheap for a nightout. Its a little scary beacuse the ball files out a lot but its ok because it just means you have to pay attention to the game. No harm in that. If you are looking for something to do with your family, Frontwave Arena is a great option.

Yelp
Location great. Parking very good. Ease of entry very good. Security strong. ---- Layout: great seats. Seats: narrow - really tight Aisles: average Concession prices: jacked up Concession variety: pretty good Restrooms: ample, clean, big .... Saw Roktoberfest from 105.3 FM there. Seether was good. Three warm-up bands were at best so-so. Stadium was reduced from 3/4 to 1/2 stadium layout because of lack of ticket sales. 105.3 really overestimated Seether's appeal or way underpromoted the concert or both. Not the venues fault.

Yelp
I went to the last 2 concerts; the first one was excellent, but the second one ughh. I had a bad experience with "ONE" alcohol attendant that was taking her job too seriously. It was a group of 6 of us, I can understand the 2 drink policy per person, but it was 6 of us and I was paying for all of them that round, we were all there and this bitter woman, says, " I can only sell u 2 drinks, and I can't tell u what to do next and you can't purchase anymore with me! What the heck was that all about! I didn't want to talk to management as I was there to just have fun and watch the concert.
