All the Food Vendors Opening at Oceanside’s Frontwave Arena | Eater San Diego

"A new 7,500-capacity arena in Oceanside is set to launch later this month, with programming that kicks off on Monday, September 16 with two dates for the Gold Over America Tour starring Simone Biles and other world-class athletes, followed by a grand opening concert by CAKE on October 5 and a preseason showcase between the LA Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets on October 8. It will serve as the new headquarters for the San Diego Sockers and the G-League team of the LA Clippers, rebranded this summer as the San Diego Clippers. No outside food or drink will be allowed, and co-founder Josh Elias has signed Liquid Sportsgroup to curate and operate all on-site food and beverage across concourse concessions, 16 luxury suites, VIP viewing decks, lounges, bars, an open-air patio, and a grand plaza that will also host performances and events." - Candice Woo

I took mom to her first concert ever. We saw Ben Haggard open up singing his father Merle’s songs. The Mavericks came out in a flurry and rocked the house with their blend of English and Spanish influences and alone were worth the price of the tickets. But then Dwight Yoakum came on stage with an hour and a half set followed by an encore. The sound was clear and loud and left us feeling the music. The Frontwave has the best darn security of any venue I’ve ever been to, and we welcomed it. We felt SAFE. I had trouble getting through the crowd lined up on the sidewalk with mom in her wheelchair, so I was going to have her get out so I could walk on the street that was blocked from any moving traffic. Once I got mom to her feet, a security officer hustled over out of nowhere to help me. He had me get her back in the chair on the sidewalk and he walked in front of us, moving everyone to the left so we could pass on the right. We thanked everyone as we went! He walked us clear to end of the line and guided me to the ADA entrance. That entrance was a ramp that takes you directly to the walkway that circles the arena. This was also the ADA level seating for wheelchairs. I must say Frontwave takes real good care of their ADA visitors. There are even at least a couple if not a few Family Restrooms, but there are plenty of stalls in the full size restrooms. The way the arena is set up, every seat is a good seat. You can’t go wrong in a 7500 patron seating venue. There are several bars serving drinks and while the food is as expensive as unexpected (24 oz Modelo was $19!) I wasn’t there for the food. I was there to be entertained and my mother’s limitations respected. That all scored a 25+ on a scale of 1-10! If I had anything to complain about, it’d be the missing curtain. There are blackout curtains all around the arena on the entry level to block out the lights on concourse. From where we sat in Section 103-seats 13 and 14, our peripheral vision was attacked by blinding light from a higher level where they definitely need a blackout curtain. The arena is great and with the prices charged I am sure they can afford one more large blackout curtain where my attached photo shows how violent that light was. We did not appreciate that. Far as I’m concerned, we should get a courtesy voucher for that disturbing distraction. I’d appreciate a response from arena management about resolving that issue. New arena, new issues arise, but what will you do about it? Anything? It’d only be right. We did not go to the outside tables at the large bar seen in video, but maybe next time. We will definitely be back. I’ll just try to avoid section 103 at all costs. Our next event will be in October. Already bought the tickets. Section 113 this time. Yeah Buddy!

We purchased tix for the Oceanside fireworks show tonight. We got “GA Plaza” tix for the SD Zoo Safari Park Party area outside FrontWave Arena. First thing we noticed was there is a $15 charge for parking, of which we were not made aware. And it didn’t grant us access to the “A” lot, which is closest to the “party area”. Second, we noticed lots of locals carrying lawn chairs and coolers a good distance west of where we were seated for our “VIP area seating“. They know where the display will be set off. I’m not expecting to be impressed. The “premium food“ options are… way overpriced hot dogs and nachos. “Fresh popcorn” is also apparently available. Premium? NOT! We purchased 3 hot dogs, two adult beverages, and some peanut M&m’s. No prices were listed (which I don’t think is even LEGAL!). It was over 74 dollars. 🤯😳🤬. That is NOT a misprint. These had better be some Mind-Blowing fireworks!! 🤞🎆🎇🇺🇸

I came here for the Easter Sunday Service that was provided by the Calvary Chapel Oceanside., and it was truly a memorable experience. The arena, which looks brand new and beautifully designed, is nestled in a charming and safe neighborhood. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect backdrop for a day of worship. The service was excellent, filled with uplifting moments and a strong sense of community.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Loving this new venue. I appreciate all levels of athleticism. Welcome San Diego Strike Force indoor football. I have also enjoyed watching the San Diego Clippers play here. I am looking forward to concerts here in the near future.

Came here for my first Indoor Football League game featuring the San Diego Strike Force. Small but very nice, new arena. Food prices weren't as steep as many other venues. I enjoyed a marinated tri-tip salad for $18, about what it would cost at a sit-down restaurant, and it was excellent. Traffic was easy for me. The football had constant action and was very family friendly.

The Front Wave Arena is an ideal for concerts, not too big or too small, the place is new and well organized, clean and comfortable. Getting in and out of the parking was very easy and without any issues, would definitely come back to watch a concert in the future or even a sporting event. Staff was very friendly, prices were average for a concert arena like this one, as well as the parking prices. You could enjoy the concert from any seat, but the ones on the floor are worth it and it would be cool if they were vendors and restrooms closer to floor level because you had to go up the stairs through general to get food, drinks or go to the restrooms, but other than that it was a almost perfect venue.

A very nice and new venue. $55/30 to park. The $30 General Lot isn’t a bad walk. The venue itself has some good places to eat like Tanners burgers which were very good. The outdoor areas are also very new and clean. I wish there were restrooms and concessions on the Floor level instead of always having to take the stairs back up and then come back down but it really wasn’t that far or bad. The floor seats for a concert are VERY close to the stage and speakers (I should’ve worn ear protection) but overall very cool venue.

I was very skeptical about going to a Arena considering my only experience in one was a local arena in my area that was not very handicap accessible but front wave changed my mind not only are they very handicap accessible but they cater to the disabled in a very unique way we actually got to go backstage in order to get to our seats on the floor and the people were so nice and so genuine
