Frost & Fire Boutique Hotel

Nothings short of perfect! Frost and Fire was undeniably one of the highlights of our Iceland trip and the perfect venue for our most intimate and memorable celebration, our wedding reception. From the moment I reached out for information until after our event/stay, Marion, their most amazing hotel manager, was incredibly helpful, responsive, and warm. She made every step of the process a breeze, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.||The restaurant was a standout experience, where our private wedding reception was held. Glass enclosed dining area, candlelit dinner and dancing under the Nordic sky. Food was incredible! Our wedding guests couldn't stop talking about the delicious dishes served, drinks from the bar, and, of course, the exceptionally welcoming and attentive staff.||Our stay at the hotel was equally spectacular. The location alone is a dream, quiet and peaceful. Surrounded with stunning geothermal steam rising from the hills, a serene river flowing below, and the most relaxing geothermal hot tub where we could have easily spent the entire day if we could. Rooms were clean and of the perfect size with amazing views. ||Frost and Fire exceeded all of our expectations, and we are so grateful for the wonderful memories we made there. We’ll absolutely be back for sure!

Very beautiful boutique hotel, with outside hot tubs and a sauna. The room was pretty small and the toilet had those kind of sliding doors that won't fully close. The breakfast was nice, served in a magnificent greenhouse like room. All the surroundings are very nice, there is a river and plenty of small "geyser" with lots of vapour coming out of the soil. Since it's a bit far away from the city, we were also lucky to spot the northern lights!

Had a very nice 1 night stay at this hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and truly makes you feel at home. We enjoyed the pool, hot tubs, sauna, and even a cold plunge in the river. I recommend the rooms facing the river to take advantage of the view. The rooms were cozy with everything you need including a Nespresso machine. Breakfast was excellent with many items to choose from. We hope to return again in the future.

We spent one night at Frost & Fire and had a very pleasant stay. Our room was small but comfortable. After checking in we were shown to our room and given a quick overview of the property. The entire property is sitting on some pretty amazing geothermal activity, and there is a geothermal river that feeds into the hotel. There are two hot tubs, a heated pool, and robes and sandals in your room to wear to and from the tubs. There is also a sauna. Breakfast is included and delicious. The restaurant uses the geothermal activity to create some of their dishes. The hotel is very close to yo the parking area for Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River, highly recommend hiking up to the river and soaking!

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our walk to a small waterfall. Breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. We Had lots of fun, boiling our eggs in the geothermal pool. The pools were lovely to sit at and enjoy the view overall, a really nice stay. Number one choice in the area.

The views were excellent. The place well kept. The spa, sauna, and hot tubs are what makes it. My husband said it reminded him of an upscale motel. The food tasted like sulfur.

Loved our two night stay! The staff was very kind and helped us book tours, taxis, and with our luggage. The restaurant is lovely and delicious. And we saw the Northern Lights (Oct) from our bedroom! Spent an hour on our deck watching and taking pictures. My only complaint is the tiny bathroom sink in the room, which says a lot.

This is a cosy place to stay with access to a nice town and some excellent walking. Also convenient for exploring the national park. Relax in the hot tub before going for a drink and dinner. You must eat here! The food is excellent.
