Frost Gelato

My scoop wasn’t as decorative as other photos posted. The green tea flavor is beautiful however the cheesecake is rather weak. The texture of the gelato is excellent. All the flavors should be on par with the rest.

I love coming here during the weekend. It’s super unique and such a nice place to get gelato. They make everything and gelato in all different flavors. I always get a different flavor each time I come in. I like the fact it’s healthier than ice cream. So I don’t have to be super concerned about the calories per say. The employees are super chill and patient when I am trying to decide out of there many delicious flavors to choose from. I would recommend if you are looking for an alternative to ice cream that is still delicious and freshly made.

the gelato is great but it comes with the expectation of awful service. every visit without fail the customer service is genuinely nonexistent. zero hospitality skills whatsoever. it sucks the life out of a good experience there.

Great spot for gelato. It smells amazing as soon as you walk in. Very clean inside, good customer service and every flavor is delicious. I like the outdoor seating. This is where my friends and I always go after spending the day at Mt Lemmon to help us reaclimmate to the heat 😅

SO GOOD - it never disappoints, and I love that the gelato is creamier than ice cream with fewer calories!!! This location on the northeast side is my favorite. Love it! Also, we really appreciate the free Frost Bite for military folks.

Overall, Frost is a great place to get gelato. I wouldn't recommend a clear frosting cake, though. We ordered a birthday cake with the clear frosting, and it didn't come out the way I thought it was. The cake wasn't made when I arrived an hour after the time it was supposed to be done, so I had to come back about 2 hours later. They made it in a rush, and it was missing some of the toppings(nuts). I am not sure everything was set when we took it, because when we got home, I put it in the freezer right away and then later that evening the cookies and writing shifted around off the cake. The clear look was not as appealing. The fruit frosting example they had looked appealing, so maybe that one is better. However, my wife is adamant she doesn't want a cake from there next time.

This place is fantastic and we always look forward to going when we are in Tucson. The gelato is so super creamy and flavorful it's ridiculous. I had the Alpencarmel and it was great not to over powering and just the right amount of Carmel. The wife had a peanut gelato and we can't remember the full name so rather than butchering it or getting it wrong let's leave it at that. For a Thursday night there was a good gathering of people but the 2 employees moved everything very quick. If you are in Tucson and on that side of town definitely go and get some gelato

Every time we visit Tucson, Frost is a must-visit! Their gelatos and sorbettos are delicious. I highly recommend pairing the blackberry cabernet sauvignon with dark chocolate. Yum!

While doing some errands during the day, we took a break and had some gelato. What a great choice as the offerings were plentiful and the flavors memorable. The servers were helpful and friendly and the place was clean. I enjoyed reading the owner's story. I had two flavors, bubblegum and toasted marshmallow both of which were excellent. The bubblegum instantly brought back childhood memories while the toasted marshmallow was the true showstopper as it was uncanny how smokey (in a good way) the toasted marshmallow presented like a campfire smore.

Treat yourself every once in a while and also share with friends, thus my latest trip to pick up some gelato! Friend's favorite is chocolate and our favorite is stracciatella!! Take-out, go home and enjoy! Quick service, clean area inside and out if you wish to stay. Gotta love gelato and take a break from ice cream for a treat.

This is the REAL thing. Excellent gelato. Tons of flavours. Gleamingly spotless. There are chairs/tables and umbrellas outside on the patio. Spouse had the mango gelato and limone (two flavours) and I had my favourite rum and raisin. VERY fresh gelato. 10/10.

This has always been my favorite gelato place since forever. I love that they have dairy free options and even specific options for diabetics with lower sugar. I didn't take as many pictures because my phone was dying but they always have great selections and flavors for the gelatos. My favorite one is the raspberry and biscotti gelato. The service was great. Staff is always friendly and welcoming and willing to give any samples for their flavors. There is plenty of seating indoors and more smaller tables outside. 10/10 recommend if you're at the mall and looking for a great dessert place

A great late night dessert stop for vegans ! Many options . Open till 10pm . Outdoor and inside seating . The blackberry non dairy is one of my favs .

I don't regularly have a sweet tooth but sometimes you just crave a treat! Stopped by around 10pm for the first time and was surprised to see a crowded patio. The flavor options were great - a range of tried and true classics and some more creative mixes. I went with the classic "yogurt" flavor which has strawberry jelly mixed in. My husband chose the award winning peanut butter crunch. The gelato was very creamy and the size was perfect for me. Staff was kind - very patient with sample requests! Will definitely return when my craving does too.

Love this gelato spot! I am a frequent visitor at the Gilbert location however when I spotted an outlet at my recent visit at Tucson I couldn't help but indulge. During summers I love having gelato's and trying all their refreshing flavors during every visit however, during winter I love their hot chocolate which is thick and decadent. I usually opt for the hazelnut chocolate flavored hot chocolate and I absolutely love it! This chain will continue to be my favorite.

Absolutely excellent--refreshing, perfect portions, great attitude from the staff. The opportunities to enjoy your gelato indoors and outdoors is perfect. This location is has the perfect product and perfect staff, all to enjoy the mall with some gelato!

Wow! The most delicious gelato I have ever tasted!! They have a great selection of flavors, my personal favorite is the spicy chocolate - yes chocolate! It's so unique but good!! The prices are fair for the quality you get as well. This is such a great dessert place that we will make this our ice cream spot!

Frost is probably the best gelato place in Tucson! Love all the variety of gelato's they have and you can taste them too! I ordered the Pistachio and salted caramel and both flavors were rich in flavor and super creamy! Staff was patient and was friendly also!

This little gelato spot is so yummy! I was happy to hear they've also worked with a local lavender farm in the past to make their lavender honey gelato (seasonal). This made me want to try it. They staff were friendly and allowed me to try a few flavors before I picked what I wanted. I could tell it was made fresh. I got the pumpkin pie flavor but they had so many to choose from! Will be back!

Frost is my favorite gelato in Tucson! The store is always clean and the staff are always friendly. Great range of flavor; I don't think I've ever tried a flavor I didn't like. They had a violet flavor as part of their monthly rotation that was absolutely delicious.

After a afternoon of looking at furniture downtown, we stopped in here for A treat out of the Heat. Frost has the best Gelatos.

This is one of the best gelato places in Tucson. Always a variety of flavors. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Modern ambiance with outdoor seating. Great place for desert.

Lotus cookie gelato They PACK the gelato cups. Staff was super friendly about giving samples! Need to come back and try the espresso gelato ASAP! Super cute place with really appetizing displays.

Gelato is always good quality HOWEVER... the place was unbelievably dirty- display cases and tables were covered with sticky stains, and the bathroom was in need of a good cleaning as well. As a former food worker/manager it was all I could do to not tell the three young women who were behind the counter to wipe everything down. I would be furious if I was the manager/owner. Looks like the business is on its way out

Good gelato - On par with what we had while in Italy. I especially like their dietetic hazelnut - they don't use any artificial sweeteners in it. Great place if you have an egg allergy, as they don't use egg yolk in their gelato batter.

My partner and I have been to Frost many times, and we bring visiting family in too. Why? Consistency of product. There's always a large selection of dairy, non-dairy, and gluten-free flavors, and the taste and texture always is good. The shops are staffed by high school and college-aged people, and their service typically is fast and friendly. The space is modern and-- typically--clean. I usually get a medium cup with chocolate and violet (when available) or stracciatella. My partner usually gets a medium cup with amarena cherry and peanut butter crunch. Note that, unlike other shops in town, they will not put 2 flavors in a small cup. But, the consistently good taste keeps us coming back.

Frost is easily my favorite gelato place. All the flavors are outstanding. I always go for the lemon because it's not like your typical gelato place. At most gelato shop the fruit flavors are hard but here they have a creamier texture. They will give you all the samples you want so try everything and find your favorite. You won't be disappointed!!

This is a small shop with the most delicious gelato. I'm not one to favor gelato over ice cream, but in this instance I'm glad I gave Frost a try.

Best darn gelato that I have found in Tucson so far. They have rotating monthly flavors as well as sugar free and Sorbet. I had the Irish Cream and Violet today and was pleased with this combo. My only wish is that would open a few locations on the Westside or south side.

Customer service doesn't match the vibe of this place. These young workers are half on their phone half serving customers. I was watching them adjust the Easter eggs in the case with their barehands then going back to their phone again. No gloves. Girl with dark long curly hair was also pretty rude and we asked for a printed receipt she just literally answered "no". It was awkward. This place has a great vibe but unfortunately workers don't have any customer service skills or work ethic. This place is pretty dirty and just not what it used to be. There's a lot of potential. Workers are literally in pajamas, slippers, and on their phones. Hair isn't up and no hats. I guess food safety doesn't apply.

My wife and I had to stop in. Just driving by you could see the crowd outside. They did not disappoint. Even though we had to wait a little bit it was well worth it. Great atmosphere, both patrons and employees were having a good time and smiling. The Gelato was very good. One downside was the restrooms could have used a little love. We will be back the next time we are in town! This must be the go to place.

Seating inside and out which is nice. Service was quick. Really good Gelato, had the cheesecake, it wasn't overly sweet which I like.

I got this a while back and I'm posting it now I tried the #Pumpkin #GELATO from @frostgelato in #Tucson and I thought it was really good. The place is super clean and the service is stellar. Also I do like the variety of selections and how they use natural ingredients in their sorbets. I'll be back and that is all ..#foodie #pumpkin #pumpkinspice

The person who does the ordering for them pays their delivery drivers. Almost nothing to shop. Dozens of itemsIt doesn't show any appreciation

I ordered a peppermint mocha. Ewh. Tasted like sweet water. Threw it away! No peppermint or coffee flavor.

They started on Ina & River Road.Owner actually ordered Italian authentic Gelato machine from Italy and had ppl come to train the employees.Gelato comes in fantastic flavors.The ppl are always so nice.Yrs ago I asked oracle employees to tell owners to put another one by Sabino Canyon. THEY DID AND I'M HAPPY! Go there often and especially if have company visiting. Nice sitting area outside of store. Try it and enjoy.

I have been wanting to try Frost for a while now, as I have been in search of good ice cream (or gelato) since coming to Tucson. I finally tried it the other night and was very pleased! There is a good flavor selection and the workers really pack a lot of gelato into the cups. You can sample any flavors you want before ordering, which is always very helpful. I ended up getting Peanut Butter Crunch and Espresso Chip. The Peanut Butter Chip lacked peanut butter flavor, which was unfortunate, but mixing it with the Espresso Chip helped, as I liked that flavor a lot. I would definitely come back again and try more flavors!

We went to this place every year but this time I was so upset We ordered 6 cups gelato Togo and the guy putting the 6 cups inside the bag without care he just dumped all in and all lids are loose, it was terrible! Messed all up!

Having been fortunate to have traveled to Italy, I am a devotee of Frost Gelato. But I must admit I peruse all the fascinating flavors and ALWAYS come away with Sea Salt Caramel! The best. Service is ok and the ambience is very European Gelato Shop!! I love the little balls of chocolate-covered Gelato, called Frost Bites. Perfect if you just want a "little something!" I always keep a small box of Frost Biites in the freezer just incase!

4.28 rating. Love the ice cream, ambiance is acceptable considering the noise on Tanque Verde, and service can always be improved on ( not to say the servers weren't nice- they could do more by going above and beyond: like offer more samples). Gotta love summer!

The variety of flavors makes it hard to decide which one to get. The service is always with a smile.

Delicious gelato, great service. Would be nice to have umbrellas on the tables for shade for those sitting outside during the warm months. But hey, we'll still continue to enjoy the great gelato. Compliment's to the chef.

I had a medium sized dish two scoops of the Sicilian pistachio. Maybe it's pistachio flavor and I had a caramel and it was both of them the best shot. I've had a long time tasted great. The help could use a little help and the business had a wet floor sign, and there was a puddle of water from the end of the counter to the second Third barstool that I was sitting on at the counter, big puddle of water there and not once did I see him go over to try to clean it up or anything that bothered me as they were not busy at all. It was my friend and I and a family of three.

I love love love this place. The gelato is SO creamy, SO flavorful, and you don't have to check your bank account before walking in the door. So far I've tried only a few of their amazing flavors-one of them a raspberry sorbet-and all have been dreamy. From the more typical chocolate and espresso crunch to rum raisin and fig, it is ALL amazing. I can't believe the serving of raspberry sorbet I had today was only 99 calories! At any rate, I'm a lifer. And after reading about the master gelato maker's ordeal with immigration just to continue his incredible recipes, I'll keep coming back for more.

Love this place best ice cream ever! For the most part every flavor is good even the sorbet.

It's expensive but absolutely delicious. We treat ourselves rarely but always enjoy when we do.

I love this place. I got the stracciatella and it was so gooood. A small size is good enough for me. Not too sweet either and creamy. I loved the pieces of chocolate.

While I usually go to the closer location in La Encantada my reason for giving this five stars is because it is the closest to authentic gelato I buy when in Italy every year. It has become my habit to have gelato as lunch every day. That can be for six weeks while I travel. Clearly I love gelato Frost has never disappointed!

The gelato is amazing that's why it's so heartbreaking to give them a 3 rating. A gelato cafe should be sparkling clean and this location is not close. The glass doors and windows are dirty every time I go by, even in the morning. The floors and bathrooms are not kept up either. 5 for the gelato, one for store cleanliness

I noticed they had coconut flavored gelato and the server told it goes well with the pineapple flavor. It was amazing!

Amazing gelato very nice patio space. The staff are always super nice and always give their opinions and options of which one to get and our actually knowledgeable of their selections and menu. The ice cream is so rich and creamy and I am never disappointed with what flavor I get. There are also never huge chucks or anything in the mixtures. A lot of places and ice cream joints or gelato places I've had that issue but here its always a nice mixture and perfectly constructed. Perfect place to grab a quick dessert with friends or nice treat after a long day.

Omg COME HERE!!! They have over 20 flavors made fresh and their affogatos are amazing!

We have been to several Frost Gelato locations-both in Tucson and Phoenix. The gelato is always good, and I like the large variety of flavors they offer. This Tanque Verde location stands out though, because of the little details. On every visit here you're greeted very enthusiastically by the staff. They seem very genuine about it, which is nice. You can always sample the gelato, but the staff will come to your table and offer a sample of a featured gelato, as well as glasses of water. The staff is what makes this location a little nicer than the others I've visited.

The ice cream is super good But the ice cream melts fast But so many flavors So go try it
