What’s the Deal With Dog Ice Cream? - Eater

"Dog ice cream has existed, in more limited options, for decades. In 1979, the late Ohio State University professor and animal nutritionist William Tyznik formulated cups of vanilla ice cream for dogs and called them Frosty Paws. With a focus on health, Frosty Paws used soy flour and dry delactosed whey, skipping the added sugars of human ice cream, according to a 1989 UPI report released following the licensing of Tyznik’s creation. I boarded my bostons Trixie and Tilly for 8 days with frosty paws and had an excellent experience. First time boarding my babies and I was a nervous wreck! Misty sent pictures the entire time we were on vacation and it truly put my mind at ease. Drop off and pick up were a breeze and I couldn’t recommend them more! 🐾❤️

Frosty Paws welcomed us and our fur babies with open arms! We are first time boarders, but they constantly kept us updated. They answered all of our questions, even the silly ones. The pictures we received always gave us peace of mind on our trip — we knew our boys were safe! One of our boys is nervous around men and some dogs due to previous traumas, and they were willing to work with him and help him make strides towards recovering and coping. Absolutely recommend tenfold. 🤍

We had the best experience today at Frosty Paws! I am typically anxious taking our dogs places, but we were given constant photo updates throughout the entire grooming process! All of my requests and concerns were taken seriously, and they made our pups look and feel so beautiful and soft!!! Our dogs are anxious babies, and they had the time of their lives. Extremely affordable for getting two 90+ lbs dogs groomed which is hard to find for their size. I couldn’t recommend this place more!!! ☺️

We sent our dog to Frosty Paws for the first time this past week and Misty did an incredible job taking care of him and keeping us updated with text and photos daily. We knew our dog was happy and safe! He came home exhausted 🤣. We will definitely use Frosty Paws in the future! Thank you again!

We had to board our Brody for a week and were nervous about it but frosty Paws did an amazing job with him!! He had his own vacation playing and running. They took amazing care of him and I would use their services agian with out hesitation!!! They sent me daily text updates and pictures so I knew he was doing great!!! Thank you so much!!! I highly recommend them!!

Our little boy Milo goes here for daycare a couple days a week. We did this after our lab died suddenly. We thought it would be good for him plus just more playing with other dogs. He loves it and the owners are awesome! Even tho he's only there about 4 hrs Misty sends me several pictures of him! We can tell when we walk him that he's more social with neighborhood dogs. So, it's been so great that they groomed him and he looked so good! If you need grooming, daycare or boarding call them! We're so glad we found them! Here's one of the pics Misty sent me. I ❤️ it!

I love this business! They are the best! Very reasonable prices. Love how they send me pictures while grooming my dogs. You can tell they really care about animals. I went to another groomer for years and when I got my new dog I looked for a different groomer. Found this business and have never looked back. Can't say enough about this business and recommend to everyone I know with a dog! They also board dogs, have a huge yard and nice clean kennels!

They were great the first time and the second they washed my dog. This last time, today, they clipped her nails and washed her. Then they butchered the hair on her tail and other areas. When I went to question why, the woman said that I was wasting her time. She was wasting my because they do what they please to someone's dog. No way I will be taking my pup there again and don't recommend anyone else does. You will be wasting their time and your money.

Frosty Paws', as good as it gets when it comes to service, kindness and professionalism! I've been with them since they first opened! My Saint Bernard now goes to see her favorite groomers once a month! The prices are VERY reasonable! I also use them for all our boarding needs ,Rigs loves it there! Definitely worth recommending!
