Frosty Queen

Food was amazing! I had a mac&cheese burger with bacon and you can taste every single fresh ingredient to the burger on every bite. They got a widely spread menu to choose from. One thing on the menu that caught my eye was a funnel cake dessert that unfortunately didn't have enough space on my belly to try but will definitely order it on my next visit. The service was fast and friendly & dining in was just a beautiful as any other day in perfect sunny southern California.

I cannot begin to explain how absolutely heartbroken I was when I found out this place closed down. I have grown up with Frosty Queen in my life. I’m almost 20 now, and I remember going to Frosty Queens for food when I was 7 and was swimming at my uncles house. We’d get our food, usually later in the day when the sun went down, and just sit on the warm concrete eating. I remember how happy I felt, and how good it was. The last time I went, I was alone this time, walking that same Uncle’s dog. I walked there for lunch, ordered, and no more than 5 minutes later I got my food. The workers were always polite and always quick. I sat on the bench closest to that little intersection. a good dog at my feet, watching the cars go by. I will forever miss that place.

I had a veggie burger after I asked what brand or type it was because I did not want that nasty impossible burger, Boca Burger, or Morningstar. I didn't expect her to know precisely what brand or type it was -but she did! Kudos to whoever does the ordering as they serve Gardenburger brand -which they go on to manage adding a little crisp to it (not an easy feat.) I was just visiting from out of town but my friend who lives on that block goes there once a week or so and he got the chili dogs and Gyro pictured. I have to mention that the cashier was lovely, I enjoyed snapping photos of my pup, and lastly they give out buzzers that notify you when your order is ready. Perfect for people who either can't hear a damn thing or subconsciously filter it out.

Cool little retro spot! Their ice cream is pretty big for the price and is very soft, yet thick. They have some enjoyable "carnival food," by which I mean these awesome funnel cake fries which are a sweet treat. The food is pretty affordable, would recommend on a warm afternoon like today. I also appreciate an establishment which allows certain spots to be tagged with stickers to encourage the promotion of free thought or for local artists to get online attention. It's definitely both family friendly and artist friendly.

Talk about keeping it real since I was a kid! Love this place everything is homemade! Churro and frostys are amazing 🤩 Burgers are juicy and great! Customer service was amazing! They really outdid themselves! Will always go back!

The best tuna melt I've ever had on rye bread. It's gotta be with the rye. The quality of the bread makes this tuna melt top tier. It's the only thing I order whenever we go. I get the combo with french fries and extra pickle spears not slices Spears make s great addition to the tuna melt. That is if you like pickles. Based solely on the tuna melt on rye. I give this place 5 stars . There not as fast as McDonald's but it's worth the wait. I don't care having to sit in my car for a few extra minutes for the food that's made to order fresh.

It is what it is. The food always has been a staple off the Chatsworth strip for as long as I can remember— and I’m sure as long as it’s been around to generations before. Prices sure went up over the years but the cost of living has too… but not the quality of the food seemed to never change. To see that our beloved frosty queen is closing is not only polarizing, but equally devastating. Where else are we going to get ice cream to save us from the boiling heat, or lend a semi public space to the current youth culture? Certainly not Burger King. Support small businesses, and long live frosty queen that served so much of us over the years.

They always have the best dipped ice cream cones. The breakfast croissant is delicious too. Nice memories here. This place will be missed by many. ❤️

So sad to drive up to get my favorite chilli cheese fries in the Valley to see this place is closed. I've been going here ever since I moved to the area many years ago. Feeling a heavy loss right now that one of my favorite local spots is closed. Thank you for so many years of service and everyone that contributed to Frosty Queen. I'm really going to miss this place.

Frosty Queen is a quaint fast food joint and an important part of Granada Hills. The menu has a wide variety of choices and the food is nostalgically good. I love the fact that they still sell vanilla and chocolate ice-cream cones which for some strange reason seem to be extinct in most establishments around town. I was not born and raised in Granada Hills, but somehow, this place takes me to the delightful days I when I was still an ice-cream licking child with no care in the world. Staff is nice and courteous. Drive through tends to be busier than in person. The seating area is small, open-air, and more suited to warmer less windy days. Prices are fair.

This place is like a teleportation device back to the good ol days. A Granada hills staple, it's been around for years. This place is a must have for locals because of the nostalgic effect but if you're not from the area it's not a must have. The food isn't anything extraordinary but if you're a local one bite and you'll be back to reminiscing about the good days. Your standard mom n pop shop, no bells no whistles just standard fast food. The service is great with super friendly staff. There's parking in the back and a few outdoor tables if you decide to eat there.

Delicious breakfast burritos! Great for on the go or Sunday treat like for me today. They serve breakfast ALL DAY so you can enjoy it anytime. For my meat choice: I pick extra crispy bacon but they also offer sausage or chorizo. It also has two scrambled eggs and fine chopped hash browns. Service is always great. I am always going in driving thru line or walk-up window. Only outside seating in stone tables. Not very comfortable but good enough to eat quickly.. Tip: They offer many ice cream treats: soft serve, shakes, sundaes or splits.

My friend and I were craving dip cones. Frosty Queen made this possible. Open decently late, quick service, reasonably priced, and definitely yummy. It also has a drive through which is a huge perk on a night you just don't feel like getting out of your car. We will be coming back here next time I'm in the area visiting my friend :)

Today is the last day of this place being open... Frosty Queen is a hidden gem in the valley and it's so sad to see it go. The long lines today prove how much it'll be missed. I really hope they make plans to open again someday, I'll miss those classic whips that I can't find anywhere else.

Milkshakes are killer! Large and made with real ice cream. Worth the wait in the drive thru.

Came in today for some chili cheese fries and specifically asked if it had the liquid cheese he said yes, did not had the cheddar cheese not the same at all. Then I got the spicy fries. Always ask if u want regular fry's or seasoned because some people can't handle that spice. I've never had those types of fry's since going there. Wish they would've asked me. And my mom got the club sandwich. Hers looked nice.but apparently wasn't the turkey wasn't fresh.

Disgusting- a waste of money - burgers at McDonald's are better off the $1 menu. Just check out the picture of what is sold as a gyro. Wouldn't go there if I was starving and it was free. From the manager on down need to be sent to the unemployment line. Truly a place to stay far far away from, gross!

trying out this spot for the first time. it was ok. I was expecting the banana split to have all 3 flavors but got all vanilla. i also wished it had cherries on top. I paid 8.21

Great drive thru service with a smile.... Worth the wait in line for a fresh tasty perfectly cooked steak sandwich.

Love Love Love this hidden gem in Granada Hills on the main strip! Everything is great! There are so many things we still need to try on the lonnnng menu of options! There are a few outdoor tables but no indoor seating. It has a walk-up window and a drive-thru. It's hard to stay away for too long!

Love the chilli cheese fries and their homemade ranch is just the best!!!! I love how you can customize slushies and shakes. My go to is a eggnog shake with chocolate and bananas!!

I love charbroiled mom and pop shops and there so rare to come upon so I love having one really close to me!!!

This place used to be hands down the best fast food place in the area. Service has taken a dramatic change for the worse. I used to go at least twice a week but now only go maybe every three months because of the person now taking orders. Everyone in the past was super nice and always got my order right. Food is still good but the person taking orders now clearly needs to be retrained and a major attitude adjustment. Went there today and the person taking orders was super rude again. If I see that person in the future I'll just go somewhere else. Good food but not worth the major attitude.

Yes, their food service is great. Always happy always ready maybe a little bit wait for the most part. Their service and quality is great. Would recommend this place I eat my lunch almost religiously from this place. Your price is fair as well. Gotta look at your full menu to know everything they offer.

Whenever I'm craving a burger on this side of town, I can count on frosty queen. But what really takes the cake here are the fries!!! They have the most delicious, properly seasoned fries! I can come here for just an order of fries. Other items I enjoy and recommend are their vegetarian burger, their chillers (ice cream similar to a McFlurry), and mozzarella sticks. For dessert, their funnel cake fries are amazing! I look forward to trying other items on their menu:)

Food is COLD!! Over priced!! my burgers cheese was hard. the patty was NOT FRESH. my husbands food was awful!!! 60.00 worth of crap!!! I will never go back!! This establishment has gone down the drain.

Kind of pricey for what it is, burgers are decent they have good milkshakes. Spot is old but it's been in the area for a very long time and is beloved by locals. Open late and great for a late snack

This place is a landmark!! I have been coming here for over 25 years!! Shakes, burgers, breakfast all day! Local favorite!! Best customer service, all the time! Can't forget about the ranch with anything u get!! Ten out of ten!!

This is going to sound weird but their chicken soup is the best chicken soup I've ever had! We had the soup, a few burgers, shakes, fries and it was all super yummy!!! Highly recommend!

I really can't believe we've lived in this area for 3 years and we've never eaten at Frosty Queen before. We happened to be driving by and it was time for lunch so we decided to try it out. They have a drive thru but the line was pretty long so we opted to walk up and order at the counter. They have a few little tables outside. We ordered a cheeseburger, double bacon cheese burger, chili cheese fries, onion rings w/ ranch, and some of their chillers. It was A LOT of food. We waited about 15 minutes and then everything was ready. We brought it home to eat and everything smelled so good and was still hot when we arrived. We really loved the burgers and the onion rings (they were really crispy!). The chili cheese fries were also really delicious but wow they give you so many of them! It would be nice if you could get a half order or something. The butterfinger chiller and snickers chillers were the perfect treat for a Saturday afternoon. We really enjoyed our meals here and will definitely be back.

Sooooo good Service is great Definitely a nice hidden spot in the valley !!!!!! The gentleman who helped us was so kind but like genuinely kind- not like the trained kind they try hard at at restaurants like chick Fil a where you can just tell it's inauthentic. He noticed my son and gave him a free Halloween candy ! And not only that but the food is great. Will be coming here more often

Been coming here since I was a kid, and the quality never changes. I'm a heavy meat eater, but they definitely have the best veggie burgers around.

Well, I tried to give this place one more opportunity. It didn't work out. If you want to know what i mean, come here, order something, and then see how much they're charging for their food. I guess they'll doubled their prices. Pastrami Sandwich and an order of fries. $20 bucks. Right now, I'm trying to digest this slop and wondering who's the bigger idiot... them for charging so much for average food, or me for spending $20 bucks.

Friendly staffs, their chicken tender with fries so good. Big portion! Omg did not know it was that much. I love fries but i could not finish it.

I've been coming here since I was a kid and have always enjoyed everything that i've gotten off the menu. Recently I did try the mozzarella sticks and was a little disappointed though. They're just mediocre, nothing special.

This is a good burger joint. The hamburger was juicy. I like this spot. Has an old school feel to it. The zucchini's were good.

Service was great and accurate. Had a large order and everything came out perfect and just how we wanted it. Such a great variety of food. Definitely coming back soon!

The food is never going to be top quality, but it's cheap & quick. I go here when I'm craving onion rings. Most of the food is quite obviously frozen, but that's okay! The milkshakes are tasty & they have so many flavors, it's hard not to find something you like! They have an outdoor seating area, it's usually quite loud but not a huge deal.

This is the worst place I've ever been to. It's a little hole in the wall in Granada Hills I went there spent $17 for a hamburger and fries they knew because I told them that I needed ranch for my french fries so they didn't put it in there and then when I went back, they wouldn't even give me a new fries go I had to bring the old ones back. This is horrible. Do not go to this place it's a freaking rip off. They have horrible staff they don't listen they rush through things and they screw up the order. My meal is cold and they wouldn't replace the fries. Unbelievable business do not do it. The service is horrible and now the food doesn't taste good because of all this I don't give them anything that not no- star worst service I've ever had in my community. Nobody will go there anymore in my neighborhood and I'm gonna continue to let people know what a crap hole that is. It looks like a crap hole and that's exactly what it is. I don't like making bad reviews. I only post good wines. This is my first experience with horrible service and I can't tell you how long

Love Their fried zucchini! So delicious.. I also enjoy the chillers, Oreo and Reese's are the ones I've gotten. Staff is always friendly.

They are a local favorite for a reason. They have a wide selection menu from sandwiches to burritos, from ice cream to funnel cake, you name it. We were craving so some good old dipped cone ice cream so we ordered a chocolate dipped cone over chocolate ice cream and a butterscotch dipped over vanilla ice cream. Let me tell ya, they are huge! One is definitely enough to share between 2 people. And the new chocolate flavored ice cream is soooo good. One of the best chocolate ice cream I have ever had. Tip: ask for a cup to hold your so when it melts it doesn't get all over your car. Don't ask me how did I know that lol learned it the hard way. Overall it's such a pleasant surprise and we are definitely coming back to explore the menu more.

This was a childhood staple for ice cream, but just ate from the menu for the first time. Breakfast burrito was huge and priced fairly. Staff was very friendly. Classic California burger stand. The fries were great too!

Came here for breakfast burrito- the potatoes were pretty much raw and the actually shredded cheese was fresh out of the fridge - cold. They were nice enough to remake it but I should've figured that Frosty Queen probably isn't known for their burritos.

I don't live in the Valley anymore, but when I'm in the neighborhood, I always try to swing by Frosty Queen. Wide ranging menu from burgers to Philly cheesesteak. Friendly fast service. Consistently good quality. Cheers to the staff!

I love me a good banana milkshake, and Frosty Queen makes a delicious one! Yes, the drive-thru can be a bit slow, but the banana milkshake is worth the wait. I can't say how their food is because I have yet to order food. But if you're craving a milkshake, you should definitely check FQ!

This is only based on the burrito. Don't get it. Not worth it. Go get a Tina's burrito in the frozen food aisle. Other food here are good tho. Just avoid the burrito.

Been hospitalized for a long time so food is by delivery only the last few times my orders have sucked i order the taquitos but something else comes so very disappointed the beef and bean burrito was a joke bean and cheese with one bite of beef i keep going back for the taquitos but no more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place because it's one of my fave local spots. It's still a mom and pop shop feel which makes everything taste home made. I love their mozzarella sticks as well as their club sandwhich! Always ask for their ranch to dip in its extra but so worth it! I've had their shakes here too and very good only downfall is that the drive through gets packed so I highly recommend placing an order over the phone and picking it up in the front. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast too! Reasonably priced and good portions!

I live 3 miles away, and by the time I got home the bun on my burger was all soggy from the way it was put together. Kind of disappointing for a nine dollar burger.

I come here probably once a week for the chili cheese fries, the staff is always friendly. A woman with very short hair helped me today at the drive-thru and she had a nice smile and was kind and patient.

This is a hole in the wall, type of local burger spot, and although their prices have gone up a bit because of the pandemic, the food is still just as good, with good portions, the right balance of salt fat, and grease, and always people either standing around or sitting around eating as well as cars in the drive-through. I asked the staff what was the most popular, and he said the breakfast burrito, the Granada burger, the pepper, jack cheeseburger, and Balboa burger. Are usually get tuna melts at these type of places, but went for the burger today and I got a free chocolate ice cream with the Yelp check in. It's convenient because it's right across the corner from where I get my hair done, and there's plenty of street parking if I don't wanna sit through the drive-through. it's one of those neighborhood spots that feels humble, been around forever, and for families that come, it becomes a part of your childhood memories. If you're shopping in the plaza on Zelzah and Chatsworth swing by!

Outstanding old school drive in (although they also have a drive thru) with a pretty large menu. It looks like they've been here for many years. I noticed they do a big business in soft serve ice cream (and if you check in on Yelp you get a free cone). I ordered a patty melt and onion rings. Both were excellent and the amount of onion rings was enough for two easily. Service was quick and friendly and they even included a generous size side of ranch dressing. Not cheap but totally worth it Definitely recommended and I would love to come back

We love this local institution! The food is tasty and satisfying and served by friendly greeters. Drive through can take about 20 mins, if backed up to street, but they make fresh food as fast as they can, so we don't mind. Turn up the tunes and await your happy bellyful! Parking in back, as well as long Chatsworth, if you prefer walk up window over drive through. Also, they have a couple of outdoor tables and some seating if you prefer to eat there. I usually get the Mediterranean Gyros sandwich, with beef/lamb meet, tzatziki sauce(made fresh), tomatoes, lettuce and onion in a wonderfully soft pita. But this last visit I opted for the Greek salad, with romaine, grape tomatoes, red onions, green olives and feta cheese, then added the gyro meat on top - FANTASTIC!!! Hubby always likes the burgers and we both like the crinkle cut fries.

This place is nostalgic and has been around as long as I can remember. It hasn't changed much and is still our go to place for ice cream and deserts!! Service is still great and friendly.

Hamburger had nothing on it, 2 small pieces of onions, the heal back end of the tomato, 1 piece only, shredded lettuce that was mushy. I asked for the bun to be toasted it wasn't!! The onion rings were not freshly cooked!! The were burnt & so hard you could hard bite into them. The onion inside was flat & stringy. When I called Frosty the manager told me to call Grubhub to get a refund. She blamed the problem on the driver!!
