Let me start by saying the decorations were very nice and the holiday atmosphere was lively and festive. That part was well done. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us.
My wife and I purchased the “Dancing, Prancing, Getting Blitzen” package and arrived around 10:00 PM, with the clear understanding that the venue closed at 2:00 AM. To add to the disappointment, the drinks included in the package were noticeably watered down, which felt especially frustrating given the premium pricing and expectations set by the experience.
Just before midnight, around 11:58 PM, my wife and several other women were standing in line for the restroom, well within a reasonable timeframe before closing. Suddenly, a tall, plus-sized bouncer began yelling and berating the women, aggressively waving his arms and shouting for everyone to “get out.” The tone was hostile, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary.
There were women in mini skirts, guests still needing to retrieve their coats from coat check, and many who had not yet ordered their Uber or Lyft because we all reasonably planned to leave closer to 2:00 AM. There was no warning, no gradual closing announcement. Just chaos and yelling. My wife came to me visibly shaken up by the interaction.
As a result, my wife and I were forced outside into the cold, standing in an alleyway while scrambling to find a ride. After several minutes with no success, we ultimately had to walk back to our hotel. What concerned me most was thinking about the safety of the women who left before us (some of them were clearly intoxicated and alone.)
Between the watered-down drinks, poor crowd management, and the lack of concern for guest safety, this experience was deeply disappointing. There are far better Christmas pop-ups that prioritize hospitality, professionalism, and guest well-being. Sadly, this one missed the mark entirely.
