The local it's very nice and you have a various choice of cooked food, sandwich and sweat. I eating a delicious lunch with a sandwich with fresh salmon, tuna cream, salad and onion accompanied with a local blonde beer. This place it's also a shop and you can buy a lot of local orginal product and souvenir. Prices very honest considering the remote beautiful place

We ate here about 3 or 4 times, it was so good. The homemade bread is delicious, as well as the soup, which changes daily. The pizzas were huge and delicious, as were the cakes. It's the world's most northern chocolatier, so of course I tried a couple, which were delicious. It's great that you can just order even 1, if you want. They sell various skin products, furs, skins, knitting yarns, and felted items - all reasonably priced.

Excellent cafe with a wide range of sweet and savoury items. Plenty of tables and the seats area near the window are particularly nice. The highlight however was the chocolates they sell. I bought a box of 12 and they were delicious. They were definitely some of the best chocolates I've ever had. The designs are unique too (polar bears and the Svalbard sign feature). I highly recommend purchasing some if in Svalbard.

Cozy cafe with a large selection of cakes, pastries, chocolate and other warm dishes. Very popular with tourists and university students. Friendly, fast service.

Very nice Café "downtown" Longyearbyen. They have small dishes like Lasagne ,(delicious) , great coffee, perfect Irish coffee and very tasty cakes.

Fruene, the world's northernmost café & chocolatier according to the website of the café is a nice & cozy café located in a small shopping center in the center of Longyearbyen. The selection impresses with freshly prepared & very delicious pastries, snack & various coffee & tea specialities. Definitely worth a visit & recommendable.

Had a delicious tomato soup but what made it extra special was a lovely sliced egg at the bottom. An Easter egg surprise! Genius! A great cafe staffed by wonderful people. Thank you all 🍅 ❤️

Cute cafe bar, if you need some hot drinks in the freezing weather, some quick lunch, or even some local souvenirs. Love the cute polar bear chocolate with my coffee. It’s connected to the indoor shopping mall, so it’s good to visit some more shops inside after a coffee.
