Frugatti’s Restaurant is the longest relationship I’ve had with any Italian restaurant here locally — over 9 years of visits and they’ve consistently delivered on both taste and atmosphere. Dining here feels like stepping into a place with a rich history, where the flavors are as comforting as the environment. The service has always been warm and attentive, the drinks are crafted with quality, and the desserts seal the experience perfectly. Garrett was my server tonight. This was my first visit here and I was recommended to come here by a new acquaintance. She said it was her favorite Italian restaurant! Well, on Garrett's recommendation, I ordered the shrimp scampi. Oh my gosh, the pasta and the shrimp were unbelievable. I finished off the evening with Mama's carrot cake. Fresh sponge with creamy icing. Just perfect. If you are looking for great Italian fair and great service, check out Frigatti's in Bakersfield. You won't regret it!

I loved the shrimp fettuccine it was delicious💯, everyone else in my table complained about their steaks not being cooked how they wanted it. Instead of returning it they just ate it because they were hungry😅 overall we had a good dinner. I think the place is really nice and cute. The walls in the place need cleaning.

First time here since it was built. I must say the restaurant is so beautiful inside. Definitely great energy! Our waiter Andrew was amazing. Making us feel welcomed. He recommended delicious dishes. Thank you to him for that! We are definitely coming back!!

We got a large group to gather here for dinner and had a great experience. The atmosphere was charming, the staff was very professional and friendly. and the food was all delicious. We had chicken thingies and mushrooms for apps and a veggie pizza and salads for dinner. The place is in demand, so pro tip, make a reservation if you can.

Wow. What an amazing Italian restaurant that you will not be disappointed. The food is delicious serving with Hardy portions. Very flavorful taste with sauce that will leave you asking for more. The Sammy sauce is the best. Highly recommend the salmon. Any option with regard to pasta is a great pic. Services fantastic with a smile. Plenty of wine options to choose from. Seating from booths to tables. There is even a bar area to sit at.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Bakersfield. Staff and servers were welcoming and helpful. Food was good portions and well seasoned. Will be back for sure.

It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Service was excellent, with great wine suggestions & food choices were perfection. 1000% recommend.

This is my first time coming to the new location and probably my last unfortunately. Now this is just my opinion, my experience. I'm sure people love it (or not) but I'm not coming back. I can't understand how they put out food looking and tasing the way it did lol. My ravioli was in a bed of soupy sauce, not thick sauce. Ewww disgusting. So I was offered another option so I ordered a steak, medium. Well I got it well done, & sooo dry!! lol. I didn't want to complain about two dishes so I just paid & left. See my pics... And to make things worse, I got sat by the kitchen which had the door wide open the whole time and I couldn't help but notice how disgusting it was. No thank you!! At least close the door so people don't see how dirty it is. That's how Golden Corral got caught up. To the GM or owner, no need to apologize or respond unless you will comp me another meal. I don't recommend the new restaurant to my family & friends. Little Italy Restaurant is the place to go

We went out Frugatti's for dinner. Overall, we were all satisfied with our meals. The portions sizes are big, big enough that two of us asked to share a pasta plate and when it came out it was still a pretty decent portion. The reason for my 4 stars and not 5 is due to the pasta sauces being greasy. Our server was nice and attentive. The restaurant is nice and clean. It does get busy around dinner time.

It was my first time at Frugatti's when we had our wedding reception in their wine cave. Everything we had was exceptional! Our guests raved about the chicken with mushroom sauce. Chicken was so tender and creamy. Their pasta was also good. We had both the penne with red sauce and carbonara with white sauce and both were so flavorful! The wine cave was perfect for the size of our party and the best part of all of it was the service. The staff took really good care of us and helped us to the slicing of the cake to the packing of all our excess food. Highly recommended and will go back here for a memorable date with my husband!

Service was amazing. I forgot to take pictures of dinner. For dinner we got the 1-chicken piccata (perfectly made, tender melt in your mouth chicken). 2-butternut squash ravioli. It's served in brown butter & toasted sage. Only thing is.. it had cinnamon in it. I didn't see that mentioned on the menu, and it killed the sage flavor. So I took off a star for that. Great vibes, clean bathroom. The desserts were amazing!! See my pictures. Their Carrot cake is next level.

My son took me here for my birthday 6/11, it was a busy night for them but we managed to get some seats at the bar. We order some drinks and Ralph the owner came by and chatted with us for a while. This alone was an awesome experience, we got to share stories, memories of the old place and the new place. We then got seated soon after and ordered our food. Service was great, the food was amazing as always. Had room for dessert. Definitely recommend this place when you need a night out or even when family or friends are in town, make those memories.

This place took me by surprise how delicious their food was and their wonderful service by Garrett. This is tops one of the Best pasta dishes. This place is a must try ! I wish we had a place like this in Florida and a Garrett that was super sweet.

Always nice to share a meal with good company. We chose Frugatti's this evening. We got the private Wine Cave room just behind the hostess stand primarily for the entire service dinner. Our waiter was certainly attentive and suggested their top three appetizers: stuffed mushrooms, spicy parm chicken things and bruschetta. Everything was delicious to wet our appetite. I ordered their lemon drop martini. Two for the night to be exact. For my entree, I ordered the Roasted Red Pepper Pesto Chicken with Sun Dried Tomatoes. Although good, I should have ordered something with the Alfredo sauce. All in all, it was a nice relaxing evening.

We always try to stop at Frugatti's when we are in Bakersfield. It is just the best Italian food. The place is so pretty and clean and they really take good care of it. Parking is super easy and the prices are fair. The service is so nice and they always get our order right and we always get a pizza to take back to our hotel if staying the night. Everything there is so good. They have a great menu and there is something for everyone. They have wood fired pizza which is out of this world great. All of their pasta are just the best and some of them are wood fired. Their salads are the best and they have a few to pick. If you are vegetarian they have a lot for you. If you are vegan it is much more limited, but they have a few really good menu choices. We just love this place and you will to.

5 of us went to Frutatti's for a belated 2 birthday lunch. We made a rez and were seated immediately, even though 1 guest was slightly late. Our service was top notch. 3 people ordered from the Lunch Specials menu, and 2 ordered from regular. We all had iced tea, which was kept full the whole time. The birthday girls both got free desserts, which was a great surprise. I picked up the bill, which was about $100 LESS than I expected it to be. Those lunch specials really make a difference! Great experience!

What a gem, me and the wifey made last minute reservations and no regrets. Probably one of the best rigatoni dishes I've had. The place was a bit loud, but it's due to its size and the amount of people. But the food makes you forget it all.

The restaurant is a nicer scale restaurant perfect for families. The servers were very friendly and patient. The food was phenomenal!! The bread came out hot and perfectly toasted but fluffy. We got the appetizer sampler and it was pretty good but I will be trying something else if I come back. The truffle sacchetti was SO good. It is a must-try dish if you love truffle and pesto! I would eat it every day if I could. They seem homemade and have the perfect amount of sauce and filling.

We waited 35 mins for our table. Got to the table, server seemed very attentive. We ordered our food shortly after sitting. We waited for a good hour for our food. Everyone at the table ordered pasta dishes with either sausage or chicken. It should've never taken this long! My son got pasta with butter and cheese, the pasta was hard in places because it was sitting under a heat lamp for too long. My side of pasta with my entree was lukewarm. Which tells me that the food wasn't run to the table quickly it sat in the kitchen window for way too long. By the time we finished we had been in this restaurant for four hours, and not by choice. I don't plan on ever going back!

I really enjoyed this place on my quick visit ti Bakersfield. I think the ambiance is so cute with the decor. I love the vespas and the patio is super cute with the trees and the little lights. Great atmosphere. Servers were good, a bit on the slower side but that's okay. The real star was the food. Great portions and really tasty. I got the Spinach Manicotti and it was extraordinary. I had to take the rest home. I finished about half. Really tasty. Tiramisu was good too. Really worth the money in terms of quantity. Would come back for sure.

Stopped by after a corporate video shoot with my coworkers and needless to say it was a great experience! The staff was attentive and offered great recommendations to us. Photos of food were missed as we were 3 extremely ravenous men in the face of great dishes. I had the Bracciole, their signature, but do not let its description fool you. That plate would have easily filled two empty stomachs. Two thick slices of meat over some perfectly dente pappardelle and a well balanced but hearty bolognese sauce. My coworkers got the chicken parm and the spicy italian, can't give taste input on their behalf but easy to say we all had a good amount of leftovers just from the sheer amount of food on our plates! If I am ever back in the area I would 100% stop by!

The food is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend setting up a reservation online especially if you have a date and time in mind for the future since it does tend to get busy, especially Friday - Sunday. The staff is always nice and helpful. My partner and I love celebrating at Frugatti's. I always go with Theresa's Favorite Tortellini. A classic. It has such a mouthful of flavor and creaminess. The lobster ravioli were to die for! The sauce is heavenly and the mash potatoes are just so smooth. The best mash potatoes you'd ever have! We started off with a side salad of Caesar Salad and let me tell you, that was definitely bigger than expect. The dressing tastes homemade and fresh. I loved every bite. We decided to get the red raspberry cheesecake since we typically get the tiramisu (which if you are in the fence of which dessert just get the tiramisu you cannot miss with that one). The cheese cake was rich and just the perfect amount of sweetness. The red raspberries on top were the perfect combination. Everything about the food at Frugatti's is just amazing!

I waited what I thought was a good amount of time before even attempting to try the new location. Apparently, I didn't give them enough time, as our wait time was just over an hour. The new location is beautifully done and so much bigger and brighter than the old location. It's also so much easier to get to as the old location was hard to get into the parking lot! Speaking of parking lots, this one sucks! It was pouring raining and after driving around and around trying to find a place to park in their weird shaped lot, I decided to park inside the white picket fenced off area directly in front of the restaurant. We were escorted all the way to the back corner of the restaurant which seems as though it's on a patio? I decided to try the spinach manicotti that had 3 different sauces (Alfredo, red, and pesto). After sending it back due to believing it had pork in the red sauce, I was informed that it did not. I absolutely loved this manicotti! It was so flavorful!!! The hubby got the chicken parmigiana and loved every bite. My oldest got the stuffed mushrooms and said they were good but she loved the free bread more lol. There's just something about that balsamic and oil with crushed peppers. My youngest got the Mac and cheese and I was disappointed that it looked just Kraft! How are you a high end Italian restaurant and serving Kraft macaroni and cheese?!

We had dinner last night, and sat in Laura's section! Our service was THE BEST Both the Eggplant Parmesan, and jumbo Shrimp Scampi dinners did not disappoint. Delicious! LOVE Frugatti's huge menu selection....will be back soon.

We decided on celebrating our wedding with our family in the Frugatti's Wine Cave. It is a beautiful, private banquet space with a vintage wine cellar decor. We had 23 guests and there was room for double that. We had pre-selected our menu options. Check out the selections yourself but everything is delicious. You can't go wrong. The food came timely and we had so much to take home. The server cut our wedding cake for us and placed on plates. Out front there is plenty of easy access parking. Easy to reserve via email. The vibe of the wine room, quality food, and excellent service earn 5 Stars

We have been wanting to try the new Frugatti's for some time now. Everyone we talked too had nice things to say. It was New Years Eve and a perfect opportunity to give it a try for lunch. While I knew where it was, getting into the place is tricky. You take a side street off of Brimhall. There is lots of parking. It was around 12:30. We were seated right away. Our server took our drink order and brought us some very tasty bread. There are ample supplies of balsamic and oil for dipping. A few friends had mentioned it was noisy, but we did not find that at lunchtime. Our server brought our food; a Frugatti's Baked special to split, a house salad, and a cup of clam chowder. I enjoyed the chowder, while my wife enjoyed the house salad. The portions are good-sized. The chowder was tasty with some nice potatoes pieces. The sandwich was a nice combo of meats and cheeses on their delicious bread. It's a comfortable place to enjoy a mall. The decor is cool with lots of photographs. An the place is quite large. I'm sure it's as great place to host a party. If you haven't tried the new Frugatti's, you need to give it a try.

Honestly.....disappointing. I came to Frugatti's for a family member's birthday celebration looking forward to eating at this new location. The service was good however, the drinks were not. My husband and I had 3 Sangrias each and we both felt they were very mediocre in taste & alcohol content. Out came the food and the Lamb Chops were the star of the show, the vegetables were bland and the pasta was dry.

Great place. Food is always amazing except for today. I found a piece of metal in my pasta, it looked like it was from a grill cleaning brush. The manager came out to our table and gave us my meal free. I expected a lil more, like maybe a free dessert as well. ‍ They acted like it was no big deal. I was a little surprised.

The restaurant is huge. Lots of seating configurations for parties of all sizes. The waitress was super nice and working hard since she had a large area of customers to help. Service was a bit slow, but it was ok. We had a nice time just hanging out chatting and knowledge that she was doing a great job. The food was tasty. Portions were large. The side salads that came with the entrees were HUGE. The style reminded me of a huge Macaroni Grill and Buca di Beppo combined. It had the polish of a big chain restaurant, but the service and quality of a mom-and-pop restaurant. My party was so impressed with this restaurant and we will definitely recommend it to anyone coming through Bakersfield!

ate frugatti's w my family for my eldest brother's celebratory break up dinner. it was a special occasion & since i had a great experience the one other time i'd been there, i knew it was the right choice. our party of 7 was seated quickly & received friendly service. everyone enjoyed their generously portioned fettuccini alfredos & our kids loved the "cheese bread" appetizer. i, unfortunately, got too full off the bread & butter to enjoy my fully inhale my meal but the mashed potatoes were amazing! loved the new location. we would eat here again. reasonable prices & enough food to count as 2 meals.

Love the new location, large with plenty of seating. The back area is a little more laid back with a patio feel but it's enclose so outside weather didn't hinder the experience. Great service, staff was friendly and food came out in good time. I enjoyed the spinach and artichoke pizza, great for a larger group. The sampler was also good, the chicken thing poppers are addicting. My go to has always been the eggplant Parmesan, even at the old location and it did not disappoint. Comes with soup or salad, mash potatoes or pasta plate. Staff sang happy birthday to me and I enjoyed a slice of carrot cake. If you're visiting or haven't been to the new location, I recommend it!

We are not from California we drove from Georgia to visit family over the mother's day weekend so this is our first time trying Frugatti's. Food was amazing. At first looking at the prices it seemed a bit high but o nice you see how much food you get it all makes sense because you will be leaving with leftovers. Our servers name is Andrew he was the best! I recommend asking to be seated in his section he will take care of you! Love the vibes there is a Vespa scooter over the bar they make it look like a little Italy. We will most definitely come back. It's worth it!!!!

This was my first time at the new location. Service was good even being crazy busy. My sibling is trans and was with me and I am glad everyone was respectful to them. Food good as always

Always a good time here! The wait is always at least an hour... they don't do same day reservations but book ahead. The new place is large and comfortable. I have tried many dishes and they're all wonderful and freshly cooked. My favorite is the chicken with pinot Grigio mushroom sauce.

First time trying Frugatti's new location. The parking hasn't improved but the building is beautiful. I was hesitant at first on where we were seated, on the inclosed patio, around a corner, but our server Brianna B. was very attentive and helpful. My husband had the Basilciata, a steak and pasta dish, that he said was the best Italian dish he's ever had. I ordered the Papo Pasta and it was delicious as well. We were celebrating my birthday and I got to choose a dessert. I didn't look at the menu, I knew I loved their tiramisu. Their pasta dishes are very generous and we were able to get a second meal out of them as leftovers. We decided we need to come here more often. I recommend making reservations.

Secret menu item! Thai chicken. Wild right?! I had to have it and it was goooOOooOoood. It packs a bit of heat so be ready for that. The hot honey prosciutto ciabatta appetizer was great. I needed some more heat so I put on some of the chili flakes that are on all the tables for pizza(super convenient!!!!) The atmosphere was celebratory. Birthday songs scattered around and nervous first daters filled the restaurant. This place is great. First time visiting since the move and I can't believe I haven't come sooner! The final picture might be a small detail but it was huge to me! The packaging matches. I mean the take home containers fit inside the bag without falling all over. Maybe it's just me but it felt super nice to carry without worry of my cheesecake smaller to go getting all smashed. Come hungry because it's alot of food. Be sure to ask your waitstaff about more options or recommendations! I'm giving Frugattis my annual 6th star.

What better review can I give than a clean plate? The food is amazing as always, our server. Ali did a great job. A little noisy tonight, but that's to be expected, ambience is always nice in here. I can't express enough how much we enjoy this restaurant. No wait time, we always make a reservation online and I highly recommend doing so.

I don't know where to start on this place. We didn't wait a long time once we checked in the place is beautiful. It's clean. The staff is our waiter that we had was amazing. It was a young gentleman. We ordered pasta, of course, and it was delicious The portion of the food is extravagant likeplate for people but the prices are great. The restaurant is clean. It's beautiful. The food is delicious. It's just crowded.

I was in the mood for some Italian, a Italian fare a bit more...better...than Olive Garden. I decided on Frugatti's, of course, I went on a Friday night and was told I could be seated in twenty-five minutes. Seeing as how it was over 100 degrees and cool inside, I decided to wait. NOT twenty-five minutes later, not even close, a time so much shorter, I was seated. The complimenatry bread was delicious and the portion sizes were more than generous! Great wait staff and amazing food! Everyone there was so kind, but Bakersfield for the most part is full of kind people, even when the temperatures soar into the 100's.

The food and the service was excellent, they have great tasting water not chlorinated taste, the pizza was delicious and the scallops and linguine! Was amazing! This restaurant is a must try.

Make sure to try the Garlic Scampi Alfredo. My wife and I have to split the portions are huge and the flavor is even better. They are busy at times but well worth the wait. Since they moved to the new location the ambience is to die for, great place for a couple or a group.

All right well we passed by the old restaurant for years and never stop this is the first time I've went so we went to the new spot really nice beautiful inside they had it decked out with Christmas stuff really nice service was on point and food was hot a lot of good food on the menu everything average around 20 bucks per plate but you get quite a bit of food so I can't complain about that The bread and the olive oil was on point The salad I had was on point also and my girl had a pizza she always gets pizza when we go through Italian restaurant got a full bar and a lemon drop martini I had was on point to to be the best Italian restaurant in town compared to a lot of ones that I've reviewed definitely will go back again

Went here for lunch and got the lunch special for a Alfredo shrimp pizza and a drink. It was so delicious and bigger than I expected. Our waitress was wonderful and kind. Super quick to eat and cleaned all around the restaurant. Definitely will come again to try something else, but that Alfredo pizza was absolutely delicious.

First time at this new location, although I've been wanting to go since they've opened! The building, the decor is beautiful! I loved the open floor plan! I loved the bar with the vespa....made me think of Luca. Now our portions seemed less than what I remember from the last time we went to Frugattis, but this time, the flavor was on point. There was a great amount of sauce, and I didn't add salt. Our meals also came with a soda! Today's lunch was perfect. Now I want to go during dinner all dressed up!

Came here with a group of buddies and was pretty disappointed in our meal. The servers took forever to give us our meal and the food was subpar. We will definately not be returning. I will stick to a can of spaghetti-o's and day old french bread before revisiting here.

Do not sleep on this place! If you are in Bakersfield go to Frugatti's. I will be dreaming about this steak for days now. Everything was great food and service.

I just had their sirloin, and let me tell you, it was absolutely excellent! Paired with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus, it was a flavor explosion that made my taste buds dance!

My bosses brought our whole office here for lunch and I couldn't be more impressed with our visit! We were able to reserve a table big enough for all of us and they had everything set up for us when we arrived, so we didn't have any wait before we could get seated. The waitress was quick to get our drinks and appetizers ordered and out to us. When she took our orders, she did so effortlessly and made no mistakes! Our glasses stayed full and we were really catered to! The food was DELICIOUS and the serving sizes were ENORMOUS! I definitely recommend trying a few appetizers if you have the time!

Pretty good. I would choose Luigi's over this any day but it's still very tasty. We've gotten a few things most recently the chicken piccata, very tasty I wish the sauce had a little more lemon. The stuffed mushrooms are good if you get them delivered you def need to warm them up the container they come doesn't really keep them warm. The shrimp pasta didn't have very many shrimps and they were the small ones, not worth the price point they're set. And the almonds seemed out of place in the dish.

In town for a special event if I ever am in this area again, I will definitely try it again The food was amazing, had very good flavor and largw portions. The service was good the restaurant is beautiful. Lots of people the only down fall was it took over an hour to get our food. As food was called in prior to arriving since we had a very large party coming in. Although the restaurant was busy. Our food shouldn't have took that long granted it was a simple menu.

First time eating here since maybe 2004/2005. New building is nice, definitely an upgrade from the previous location. Staff and servers were friendly and nice. So all those are essentially why the its a 3 star. They lost 2 stars due to the food experience. So this is where it goes downhill, we place our orders, they're busy so we expect it to be a lil bit to get the food out, no biggie. Entrees arrive, well 6 out of 8 do. They say oh the other 2 will be right out gotta go get them. (Calzone and kids chicken meal). We start eating, 5, 10, 15 minutes goes by and still havnt arrived. By then the calzone order was about to be cancelled cause they didn't want to get there's after we have already ate. Then 20 minutes they arrive. Calzone was not fully cooked, still light colored and doughy unlike the same calzone we had ordered that arrived with the first 6 entrees. But whatever they start eating, the baked fish dish we had ordered came with mashed potatoes and asparagus had another issue, the potatoes and asparagus we cold, fish was piping hot though. We tell the server and she said let me bring you another set of sides, cool. Well couple minutes later she brings a dish with potatoes and asparagus, well dish was cold again, we all tried the sides so we could confirm that they were not heated up long enough. Literally room temp sides even the dish had no warmth to it. Very disappointed in that, especially having to bring another out. But the fish was great. Management did make it right before we left so that was much appreciated. But I still have to be honest with my review and give them what I feel is deserved based on the experience. At some point I will probably go back and give them another shot to redeem themselves but not sure when.

Frugattis was very clean and had good ambiance. A very large selection on the menu. We were a large group but still taken care of well. Food was delicious and liked by all.

I love this place. Go to lunch and dinner several times a month. The waiters even know me. However, I have ordered the Tiramisu a few times and have had to send it back due to the ratio of the cream to the cake/pudding. Please fix this. I would like yo be able to enjoy this dessert again.
