I’ve stayed at this hotel twice before, but my third visit this year was far from what I knew and expected.
The service was extremely slow. I constantly had to catch the waiters’ attention, and they even forgot my dinner order after I waited over 20 minutes. At the bar (which wasn’t busy), I had to wait and eventually stand up to ask for a menu. I ordered a simple cheese platter and ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for it, which is inexplicable for something so basic.
The service confusion was even worse when it came to room service. They have two locations, and I was told I could only order from one. However, when I called, they delivered from the other location. Then the manager came to my room to tell me I had done something wrong, which made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. It’s clear the staff aren’t communicating well, leaving customers confused and frustrated.
To add to this, they are now charging for slippers to use the SPA, which feels petty for a supposed 4-star hotel under the Kempinski name. The overall value for money is unacceptable.
Honestly, the happiest moment of my stay this year was checking out. Very disappointing experience.
