Very good food and good service. Nice view by the canal also. Just planned for a drink but bread and food are so good so we keep order more and more foods.

The quiche was way oversalted (we didn't eat it, but it was included in the bill anyway). And the desserts were way too sweet, but the lemon pie with ice cream was still delicious.

Beautiful restaurant located right on the river with gorgeous food and excellent service. We chose the A la carte menu however there was also a buffet. In line with the Smaku Festival, the restaurant was serving an absolute delicious snail starter! Oh, and the view is gorgeous!! ☀️🚣‍♀️🏞

I visited here with my fiancé on a Sunday around noon. We were pretty lucky as there weren’t many customers in yet, so we were seated immediately. The hostess was really friendly and polite and seated us outside on the terrace. (Around 14:00 there was a long line to the restaurant, but people seemed to get seated fast, so I don’t know why there are so many negative comments here.) I got the salmon crepe which was delicious. The fish was melting in my mouth. My fiancé got the burger, which was really good. The waitresses were also very polite and bubbly. Summary: The view is amazing, the food is good and the staff is also the best.

Nice restaurant near riverside ! Must taste the Finnish Snail's and fish. One of the few restaurants serving best Finnish food.

Nice place for lunch. The meat was excellent 5/5. Escargot 3/5. Forks very difficult to handle slip easily from your hand.

Great place by the river. They serve fish buffet and their special snails as starter. We went with the fish buffet, which was plenty and would've been enough itself. Especially the mustard herring was our favourite. Mains were tasty as well, but it's the starters you come here for!

Three of us shared 3 delicious dishes, the Guinea fowl, vegan curry, and salmon soup. It was hard to decide which we liked the most. And our service was wonderful.

Whatever they do to chicken in Finland makes for miraculously tender, flavorful dishes every time up and down the €/€€/€€€/€€€€ spectrum. This place served it with a distinctive orange orzo. The wild boar + sausage dish with sour cream went over well, as did the burger. Charming, rustic riverside joint with winsome wait staff.

This place was great! A little pricier than the cafes on the Main Street because it's an actual sit-down service restaurant. I had a really great waiter - blonde dreads, neck tattoo (and cute, too). I ordered the reindeer burger, which came fully loaded, and threw the little cup of lingonberries in, too. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect medium-rare. I will warn you - it is a sloppy mess, with the sauce and such, but who cares? It's a good size too - not an enormous half-pound burger like we serve in the US, which is absurd, but also big enough to be filling. The French fries were also perfect and didn't need any ketchup or condiments. Super fresh. The coffee was a bit weak, but not bitter. Definitely drinkable. Great view, calm, the waiters were not constantly hovering or pushing the desserts on people, etc.

Nice grill restaurant by the river in the beautiful old town in Porvoo. The restaurant is placed inside one of the old warehouses with a view to the river. The food can be a la carte or served as a eat as much as you want buffet. Try the grill dishes which are really delicious! Staff are helpful and friendly.

Great summer spot with service outside by the river. Food was excellent...from the smoked salmon salad and salted whitefish appetizers to main course of salmon filet over creamed cauliflower. We closed with mud cake and pannacotta desserts...very good with fresh fruits to garnish. Can say it was all top quality with fantastic ambiance.
