Multiple Houston Restaurants Close Again as Workers Contract COVID-19 | Eater Houston

"This Spring Vietnamese spot closed for at least 14 days after an employee contracted COVID-19; the owners described the decision as difficult for their small family business and emphasized that staff had been wearing masks, sanitizing tables and chairs, washing hands frequently, and taking other precautions, but prioritized the safety of employees and patrons by shuttering temporarily." - Amy McCarthy

Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was super kind and made the whole experience even better. Bonus points for clean restrooms, which is always a good sign. Definitely coming back for round two!

Google
It was a good experience with very good service … a little waiting time but it was worth it because the food was all delicious. Highly recommended!

Google
This was my first time at this Thai restaurant, and I must say, I am truly impressed! Not only does it have a warm, homey feel, but the food was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp pho and spring rolls, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Chloe, the owner, is such a sweetheart—she personally checks on guests to make sure they’re taken care of, which made the experience even more special. I genuinely felt at home here. If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s different from the usual, you have to come and support this restaurant. You won’t regret it!

Google
Wonderful service and beautiful decor. We ordered the Boom Cha Y’all and the keto stir fry, which were decent - but I like that it’s a Vietnamese restaurant with low carb options!

Google
First time here and will definitely be back! Ordered the Vermicelli Boom Cha Yall and Spring Rolls. It was perfectly delicious and they had all our favorite dipping sauces. My 4 year old son got the Pho from the kids menu and he devoured it! Got Mochi ice cream for dessert. The service was fantastic too! Totally worth stopping in!

Cristal S.

Google
Stopped in for just some Boba. Ended up staying and indulging in an amazing lunch. The host Chloe was so funny and made the experience so much more enjoyable. The service was fast and great. I usually have to drive far for Vietnamese food. Now I have a spot on my side of town. Highly recommend. Definitely order some Boba if your in the area.

Google
Fantastic place, set at the bar wayyyy back when.... And had amazing food and a fun conversation with an aka bus boy 🤣 it was the owner! His staff kill you with kindness and the food is scroching hot -1star for mouth burning food 😅 don't get the pho-kin huge bowl unless you're ready 🤌

Yelp
Wow!! I chose this because they have green beans and was pleasantly surprised that they have so much more. They give you so much food. It comes in an insulated bag that you get to keep and it keeps everything hot. The food containers are impressive as well. They included multiple sauces that I assumed is to pour into the noodles as well as the crispy chips. The order was perfect. No mistakes. Will order from them again.

Yelp
This place is fun, nice compact to the point menu. The decoration of the place is nice and minimalistic . The staff are friendly and very attentive to each customers needs. I got the summer rolls and the P1 beef pho. Both were very tasty and fresh. Overall the food was above average a solid 3.9 out of 5.

Yelp
I had a good experience at fu manchung. The vibe was nice, the food was good and the service was exceptional. I went to fu manchung for lunch. The restaurant wasn't super busy & parking was plentiful. The food itself was good but not standout. I got the hot and mild wontonic + the crabby egg rolls. The hot and mild wontonic was good, but was lacking a bit of a "wow" factor. The dumplings were good. Nothing really stood out.. The crabby egg rolls were pretty good. They were nice and crispy with a good taste. I personally thought the names were all funny :) Service was really good here. Our waitress was super nice and welcoming. She chatted with us for a while & made sure our food came out super fast. Overall, I thought this was a nice place & I had a good time

Yelp
Great food with great music. I like the fusion of asian american food here. Their eggrolls, soups, and noodles are yummy.

Yelp
We drove over 45 minutes to try Fu Manchung after Yelp released its list of 25 best pho restaurants in the United States, and it did not disappoint! My Vietnamese boyfriend was initially skeptical looking at the menu, but he left feeling satisfied and stuffed! The service at Fu Manchung was fantastic! Everyone we interacted with was exceptional - kind, helpful, and friendly. Our waitress took the time to ask us how our experience was and even walked us to the door when we were finished! The ambiance is pretty typical of a casual Asian-American dining experience - red paper lanterns cover the ceiling. The restaurant was clean and well-kept. The food was very good. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer- these were made fresh. Tasty but nothing particularly unique. We also ordered the bun thit nuong, which was very tasty with a crown of egg rolls over vermicelli, fresh veggies, and a combination of pork and shrimp. Fu Manchung really makes a name for itself with its delicious pho, however. The broth is the best broth I have had outside my boyfriend's family home. It is cooked for 10-12 hours and boasts no MSG. The pho noodles were soft but did not stick to each other. The meatballs were my boyfriend's favorite meatballs in all of Houston! The tai chin was over-cooked, but we were able to overlook this considering how tasty everything else was! Fu Manchung is among the best pho restaurants in the US for a reason! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Im finally backkkk since the ownership has changed! Nothing like a hot bowl of pholicious!! You can get pho anywhere, but this place has it all the wacky names! Select your bowl size, as prices vary. Still tastes the same! Just a different atmosphere...

Yelp
Service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean. The food was slightly above average this time, but well-presented. Appetizers were under seasoned yet satisfying, and my noodle dish was simply mediocre. My mom said her soup could have been more flavorful. Perhaps it was an off night? We may give it another shot.
google avatar

Yelp
Fu Manchung is a Rock solid small family-owned venture where they really truly care about you and the quality of their food. The crispy noodles, the pho, and the beef dishes are very nicely done. The kitchen is small but you can taste the freshness and care put into dishes. It is pricier but it is evident in the finished product and atmosphere.

Yelp
The food seemed very fresh and tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. However, the food did not agree with me.

Yelp
Very clean spot. We got egg rolls and spring rolls for appetizers and they were fresh. My husband got the vermicelli bowl and enjoyed it. I got the seared steak plate and was a little underwhelmed by it. It wasn't bad, just a little plain. Service was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Outstanding service. I really enjoyed my visit. The pho broth was flavorful and contained plenty of meat and noodles. Egg rolls and the homemade sauce were delicious.

Yelp
I came here once with my family because I was in the mood for good Vietnamese food. I was coming from Chicago and I knew there is a big Vietnamese population in Houston and surrounding areas. This place was highly rated and it did not disappoint. It was very easy to find parking since they have a good size lot. Service was superb, they took good care of us. We ordered a variety of dishes but I did not taste all of them. We ordered crabby cream rolls, Fu Manchung wings, pho-licious, vermicelli boom cha y'all, and hot and mild wontonic. There was another dish but I forgot the name. Everything was tasty and filling. We actually came here when the old owners were still running this place. Quality wise I'm not sure how it is now but I hope it's the same.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places hands down. Not only has my food been good every time, but the service is impeccable and friendly, an understatement. The food has never disappointed me. The process of ordering food is slightly different than most sit-down restaurants, at least it was when I was there. As you walk in you are greeted at the hostess stand and your order and payment are taken there, menus are provided along with large blown-up pictures of the food along with a number that corresponds with the number on the menu. Next, they handed me a number on a stand and told me to sit where ever I like. At the end of the meal, I was asked to sign my credit card receipt where you can leave a tip. This is a great place to eat!

Michael J.

Yelp
This place was great! First, the service was on point--food came right away, didn't have to wait for refills. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I got their keto steak stir fry dish--chef's kiss. Definitely going back and bringing the crew.

Yelp
I stopped by here on the way to work for a quick bite. Let's just say I was quite impressed. The menu is fun and creative, with a nice edge to it. There were lots of options available and the menu offered some flexibility which is also nice. I settled on some spring rolls with tofu/shrimp, and a keto friendly stir fry with shirataki noddles, vegetables, tofu, and shrimp. I have never seen shirataki (carb free / low calorie) noodle in a restaurant before, but I was very happy to find them here. I was pleased by my stir fry did not appear to be very greasy at all, which is ideal for a healthy dish. Food was delicious! Staff was friendly! Service was accurate and prompt! I will be coming back.

Yelp
I don't even know where to start! I could give more than 5 stars. Very family oriented place. I always feel so welcomed and can honestly forget life's problems here! I'm always treated with kindness. The food is amazingggggggg! The flavors are everything! My favorite dish is the spicy wontonic. I could eat every thing on menu lol I can promise you will not regret the visit.

Yelp
I was an old school lover of Fu Manchung back before Covid and when Qshi hadn't moved (or later gone out of business). Fu Manchung is still good and still has heart. I used to talk to Paul on the regular before we moved and was sad when it closed. Today, I was back in town and made the call to go to this foodie destination. Chloe worked the front and her father worked the kitchen, the service was good and all our favorites were still there. We got the Pho (still best in the region), Macarolees, Crabby Cream Rolls, Fu Fu Fries and more. All the flavors were right there; there were small differences like Fu Fu Fries sauce was a little more sweet, but my wife liked it more than the old. Guaranteed anytime we come to town, Fu Manchung will be a must-go-to.

Yelp
This is worth a detour to try. I came here while on a day trip to Houston (since rumor has it best pho in texas is Houston) and was very glad I did! The ambiance was really calming. The hostess was respectful and SUPER friendly. The acoustics were decent so even though others were talking it wasnt loud at all. The food was great. The broth was rich and packed with flavor, the spring rolls were crisp, and the thai tea is a nice beverage offering. You order at the host stand, take a seat, then it comes out when ready. Service was quick. Overall I would highly recommend stopping by!

Yelp

Yelp
Love the pho! Noodle bowls are good too. Spring rolls on point. All of it is great! Best service too!

Yelp
I have been coming here for awhile. They have a lot of menu items that look delicious but I am in love with my standard order. First I get their in house made egg rolls and the Maverick. I can never finish it but it makes a great lunch for the next day. They use very good beef for this dish. Their staff is always friendly.

Anonymous R.

Yelp
Fu Manchung is the best Pho around! The staff is so attentive and make sure you are satisfied with your meal. The ambiance is very homey and small but welcoming. I went in one day randomly because i was feeling under the weather and i felt better almost immediately after dint my meal. I had the P1 made spicy with no meatballs and add shrimp. this is my go to order. I love Fu Manchung and it is my #1 recommendation for pho lovers.

Yelp
3.5/5 My rating of this place is mainly based off the stellar customer service. However, the rave about the vermicelli dish I do not understand. There were 3 people in the establishment but I ended up waiting a long time for my dish. I know the noodles and veggies are usually served cold/room temp but my steak & shrimp coming out luke warm was a no no. I don't know if they forgot my food out or what. It wasn't worth complaining about bcz I was very hungry. If ur in the area & craving Vietnamese the food will do. But don't go out of ur way to come for this dish in particular, I drove a while to get here bcz Of the ratings and was disappointed. It's a standard vermicelli bowl nothing to write home about whatsoever.

Yelp
The best Vietnamese food in Spring Tx . Great service. Worth the trip to go there. We had the beef with spring rolls. The staff was very accomodating.

Yelp
You must try the Broke *ss ramen! The crabby cream rolls are another favorite. And the service is always top tier.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because my visit here was long overdue, but worth the wait. --- --- --- I bookmarked Fu Manchung years ago before I actually moved back to the Houston area. It's been high on my list to try, but it's about a 45 minute ride door-to-door, so it took a few months to get here. We were greeted by a super friendly guy, who I assumed was a part of ownership or management. He was chatting it up with some other tables that seemed to be full of regulars and he definitely stopped by to check on us towards the end too. That ended up being the cherry on top of the great food itself, in my opinion. We ordered the wings, a banh mi and the vermicelli, which ranged from good to great. The wings were tasty and definitely worth ordering again: 4-stars. The banh mi was really awesome. I wouldn't change a thing: 5-stars. And same goes for the vermicelli. I gobbled it up and would have happily eaten a second portion, not because I was still hungry but because I was loving it so much. 5-stars. I would absolutely love to come back again and will definitely do so when we're anywhere near the area!

Yelp
Really fucking great food. Forgive me, i don't remember their names for these items, so i'll just use the names I know. Mi Hoanh Thanh (spicy) - This was really great. The added chili oil made the broth look volcanic red, but it was much more mild than you'd think. Everything was on point, and the portions were quite generous for a large bowl. Pho Ga - My 6 year old, in a tired stupor after a long drive, inhaled her food. I stole a few bites and their beef/chicken bone broth was perfect, and the chicken (both white and dark) was very tender. Pho Chay - This is easily one of the best vegetarian broths we've had, and we've tried vegetarian pho in many places all across Houston as well as the DFW area. Bravo!

Yelp
Came by with a coworker for lunch. The menu seemed a bit interesting; we were expecting a little more authentic menu but it seemed more of a fashion style menu. The prices were honestly high, especially for Spring, and even compared to inside the loop. The food was average, my vermicelli bowl was very bland. Much better vietnamese food near Chinatown or inside the loop. Not very impressed
google avatar

Joy M.

Yelp
I can understand why Fu Manchung has a 5 star rating. Their customer service was superior. We showed up 15 mins before closing for a table of 7. We were afraid we were going to get turned away because the kitchen would be closing soon. But they were delighted to seat us and didn't make us feel bad for coming in so late. We normally wouldn't go dine in close to closing time but we were staying at resort close by and had a hard time getting the kids out of the pool. We were desperate for Asian comfort food. Everything we ordered was delicious and portions were huge! We would definitely stop by again when we are in the area.

Yelp
No wonder this place has a 5 star rating, the food & service was just spectacular. Coming in we were greeted right away, I'll say the ordering system is a bit weird. We ordered at the host stand & sat down, I guess with Covid they're doing it this way. I decided to get some egg rolls as an appetizer & their pho-licious (small) as my main course. My friend ordered the chica-currylish. Let's start with the egg rolls, it came out piping hot & straight out the fryer. The filling inside was so good, you can tell these were homemade. I was impressed with my pho, the meat was tender & just melted in my mouth. The broth was clean & made with love. I also got to try my friend curry rice, it tasted fantastic & wasn't too overwhelming with extreme curry. Yes, I understand it's a curry dish but sometimes chefs can overdo it with the curry, this one was just right. At the end of my meal, I wanted to order some drinks for the road. So I got a mango fruit tea & Thai tea. I enjoyed the mango tea, I can taste the actual green tea & I love the ripe mangos they added to my drink. I was in love with their Thai tea it was probably the best Thai tea I've ever tasted. Just the perfect amount of sweetness & an overall smooth drink. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, I want to thank Stephanie for her awesome service. She went above & beyond to make our experience an enjoying one. Stephanie with her kind gesture told me the teas were on the house, I wasn't expecting that but thanks once again. 5 star service.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
They have you order first with the greeter before you sit down. You can expect there to be a wait for your food. It is pretty pricey for the amount you get. The staff were great since they came by to check on me every now and then.
google avatar

Yelp
The food at Fu Manchung was okay. The service was great, and the server made sure to check on us and was very attentive. The ambiance was calm and nice with mostly half booth tables. Fairly priced and not bad.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! I usually do the broke ass ramen but decided to try something different (even though I'm still broke!). The bahn mi was so good. The bread was crunchy on the outside but so soft on the inside. The pork was tasty and just enough of jalapeños, carrots and cilantro. And ohhhhhh - those fries.....the drizzle in them gave it a nice kick. The hostess at the door was so sweet, everything about the service was excellent. Everything was on point!
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Food and service always on point! This is our go to for a great experience! Highly recommend Pad Thai.

Yelp
I haven't been back to Fu Manchung since the new owners took over. I was a little apprehensive about going back. Sometimes new owners change things up & the food it's not the same quality, but that is definitely not the case! The food was fresh, nicely seasoned & served hot. Each dish was beautifully presented. We started off with the Flying Egg rolls, Vietnamese style. The outside shell was nice and crispy and filled with lots of pork and vegetables. It came with fresh lettuce to roll your eggrolls in and a lot of fish sauce, with shredded carrots to dip it in. I got the stir Fu Mannoodles. Lots of cabbage, broccoli, beef, and crispy noodles with a really nice sauce. I am all about the crunch! My husband got the Beef Boom Cha Y'all. This bowl is filled to the rim with all kinds of goodness. It comes with both beef and shrimp and Vietnamese eggrolls cut in half along the side of the bowl. I highly recommend to come and support this local business.

Yelp
From the second we walked in we felt welcomed and valued. That was refreshing! We tried the L4, and the basil beef, and a grohaman(spelling?) eggrolls sampler. I was a little unsure about the macaroolies but was quickly converted to a lover. The L4 was fresh and tasty, the basil beef was good and savory. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This was our first time and we will definitely be coming back here! We came here with my husband's family on a Friday night around 6:30pm. There was a wait when we arrived but IT WAS SO WORTH IT! *** MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU GET TO THE HOSTESS** The line was out the door because you have to order right when you get to the hostess/cashier and pay for your food before you're sat down! THE SIGNS at the front of the restaurant and all throughout the restaurant are hilarious! The girl that took our order at the front was SO SWEET and kind. You can tell this restaurant puts customer service first and the food was QUALITY. The whole staff in the restaurant really takes the time to address you by your name as the cashier in the front gets the name of every customer. We were served by Owner Paul Huynh tonight and Chef Taylor Chung even came out so we could thank him for the amazing food. My husband's whole family and I agreed that this place was AMAZING. We ordered 2 orders of flying eggrolls, 1 order crabby cream roll, & 1 order of fu manchung wings as appetizers! THESE APPETIZERS, oh my goodness! Best eggrolls and wings ever. My sister in law and husband said that the wings were the best wings they've ever had. The sauce definitely taste like a teriyaki sauce with a bit of heat.. but it's definitely home made! Must try. The house fried rice wasn't overly salty and the rice was perfectly cooked! My husband and his dad said this was the BEST fried rice they've ever tasted (they eat a ton of fried rice). Banh Mi (Pork Base) was amazing! The bread was crunchy and soft! The pulled pork wasn't dry at all and super flavorful! We also ordered an order of their (P3) egg noodle soup and (P1) pho! It was delicious! Meats weren't dry and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The broth wasn't overly salty. PERFECT. My mother in law and I split a large order of P3 and we still had left overs. Once again, customer service and the staff... wow. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The food was amazing as well!! THANK YOU CHEF TAYLOR & STAFF for this amazing experience. We mentioned when we were in the restaurant, it felt like we were getting served in our own home.. (super homey ambiance).

Yelp
We were in town for a competition. Due to covid, we knew we had to order to-go. Ordering was easy and accommodating (because we have two young children who are picky eaters). When we arrived for pick up, we knew this would be a place we would frequent if things weren't as they were. Their dining room was cozy and ambient. But due to covid, you had to order prior to seating, they also made that simple with a huge menu posted and pictures of their food. The order was 100% correct with the exception of mistaking my name from Sandy to Andy...which was comical. Even after pick up and some time to settle into our hotel room, their food was PHENOMENAL!!! Our family ordered a lot of food, but a few of them got to it before I could take a picture! Pho-to go was amazing for the kids and my husband ordered broke a$$ ramen. They included extra bowls and condiments. Seriously the most pleasant to-go dining experience! The food, service and quality were unsurpassed!

Yelp
I actually came here on accident, confusing it with the Chinese restaurant next to the nearby H-E-B. Fu Manchung is an all-around Asian cuisine that while they didn't have any ribs on hand, the Shrimp Fried Rice was bomb--FINALLY some great fried rice in the Houston area. I called in my order to-go, which took about 30 minutes (the place was packed, and rightly so). The rice--Eloisa's House Fried Rice--was cooked pretty well with sliced carrots, broccoli, egg and what looked like bok choy or cabbage, and an endless supply of shrimp cooked to perfection. The low-lit ambiance was en pointe, the hostess super sweet. My order came to $16 for a rather nice serving that I ate in two sittings through the night. So now I have a cute feather in my hat in the form of Fu Manchung for some REALLY good Shrimp Fried Rice.

Yelp
Hot & Mild Wontonic I really couldn't stand the smell of it or eat it. It tasted funny to me and the fact that they didn't have soy sauce made it even worst. The gave me some nasty seasoning sauce. My daughter food was horrible too. Don't be deceived by the food picture... You know it's bad when you have to pay before your even seated and it's not a all you can eat buffet. The worst 75.00 I ever spent

Yelp
Two of us came for dinner. From the get go we knew this wasn't your typical Vietnamese restaurant. All the names had a playful pun in them, which was entertaining to read, but it was so overdone that the menu was actually confusing in what was actually on it. We started off with Flying Eggrolls ($5.95) for four. These were decent, not too bad, not too good. They weren't filled that much and the sauce was a little different than your typical sweet chili sauce. Glad I got to try once, but wouldn't order again. Pholicious ($10.95) + $2.50 for tendon Broth was overly sweet and mild for my tastes. The meatballs were also sliced thinly, which I thought was really weird. The choices in meat that you could get weren't all that customizable. Also didn't see flank or tripe as options. The $2.50 tendon was probably the best dish of the night, because that came loaded with meat that was really soft and had been cooked for a long time. Vermicelli Boom Cha Y'all ($11.95) Comes with two flying eggrolls. I asked if I could substitute these out for different ones, like the crab ones, because I just had them as appetizers, but they wouldn't take substitutions, even though they were the same price. No biggie. The dish was okay; little on the sweet side. The amount of meat was less than I would expect from $11.95 and the pork that was included was overcooked/dry. The cucumbers were also not the Asian cucumbers so they had very thick, tough skin. The shrimp weren't bad at least. Yes I realize this isn't a typical Vietnamese restaurant, but based on Yelp standards, "Meh. I've experienced better." Seems like everyone else loves this place so it could just be me. Just my honest opinion.

Yelp
Fantastic! What a friendly and fun spot. First off I am a huge fan of all the fun signage they've got going on! I love the positive messages and words of encouragement everywhere... The messaging speech true of the super cute and local spot. They are. It fast food, they make your individual orders so please be patient and that's ok by me...but let's talk about the food! I love to try everything that is recommended provided that it's vegetarian or plant-based and the veggie pho was fantastic! Probably one of the best broths I've had in a while! The kiddo ate everything with meat in it and highly enjoyed his meal! But those eggrolls smack! Mmmmm so good. Try them all! We will definitely be back and super big thanks to the team for their extreme courtesy and friendly welcome.

Yelp
This was my second time enjoying this small business restaurant. I'm glad I chose take out over delivery so I could see how much pride is taken in running the restaurant. There was ample seating to wait for a table inside. On the opposite side of the chairs, tables lined up to the host stand. On the tables there were menus, photos of food, and the actual sizes of the pho bowl options. The large looks like a family share. This time around I chose the vegan pho option, and it was flavorful and satisfying. It came with fried tofu on the side. I can't wait to go back to dine in with my family. If you can, choose takeout and call in your order, or dine in. The staff is lovely.

Yelp
BEST PHO I've ever had! I visited this place from New York City as I was visiting Houston for the weekend. I found this place from Yelp as it had amazing reviews. I had an elevated expectation from both Google and Yelp reviews and this place met all my expectations. The soup, meats, noodles, and everything was right and tasted amazing. This is a must-visit pho place in Houston. The only downside is that this place only opens on Wednesdays through Saturdays. In any case, I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely revisit soon.

Yelp
1. Service - friendly hostess and waitress. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. Hostess held the door for everyone as they left the establishment. Management has definitely trained their staff well! When you come in, wait to be seated, order, and pay at the table. 2. Price - $13 for a Large pho, and $13 for another Egg Noodle dish. Pricey compared to other Vietnamese pho restaurants, but still affordable considering that this restaurant is located in Spring, TX. 3. Ambiance - cute petit place, very red, and quite festive. Dress code here is casual. May I add that the menu was quite a fun read! Never have I had so much fun reading one. Someone took the time to put humor in it and they have quite the writing skills. 4. Food - we ordered the PHO-LICIOUS, pretty authentic and you can tell that they use Oxtail for their broth flavor. It's a Southern style pho, so a little on the sweet side. My Wife and Toddler loved it. The family also enjoyed the GROHMAN SAMPLER, which was a combination of 2 Macaroni eggrolls, 2 cream cheese eggrolls, and 2 traditional Vietnamese eggrolls. Not bad. Not entirely authentic, but my family and I enjoyed it. 5. Cleanliness - clean dining area. I can see myself coming back. Keep up the good work Fu Manchung!

Yelp
Good service and good food?! Count me in! I ordered the creamy crab rolls and the wok n' beef! And let me tell ya, I was not disappointed. The creamy crab rolls were hot and steamy, and the filling was melt in your mouth good! They give you a side of sweet and sour sauce, but I didn't even use it because it was flavorful enough by itself . The wok n beef was a fresh spin on the traditional bo luc lac, also known as, the shaking beef at other establishments. In terms of authenticity, the sauce was a lot lighter and they used bell peppers rather than the traditional vegetables. However, it was still tasty and nicely portioned. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
One of my yelpies told me about this place and after running a couple of errands, I decided to stop here for lunch. The owner greeted me upon arrival and the Lady taking the orders was also very friendly in explaining the menu and some of the items in a little more detail. I ordered a phat thai with beef and a pho rolle, which was a recommendation by the cashier. Phat Thai was their version of pad Thai and it was good. The beef was tender and seasoned pretty well. The noodles weren't clumpy but rather finely cooked and easily to break. The pho rolle was also good as it was a combination of an egg roll and pho crossbred to create a pho rolle. I personally am not a big fan of creating new dishes when they are perfect in their original form, but nonetheless they were good. The waiter and owner came, a couple of times around me to ensure everything was OK and remembered my name, which was a noble thing to do. I see myself going back pretty soon.
