The shop is quite small, so you might walk right past it without realizing it’s there. To find it more easily, just remember it’s right next to Dunkin' and has a blue sign. The service is super nice and friendly, but it’s a takeout-only spot, so keep in mind that you'll need to find a place to eat—unless you can't wait and just eat right there! We walked all the way to Tangram Mall to sit down, but by then, the food was already cold. When the server asks if you want sauce, make sure to get everything. If you like heat, ask for extra Sriracha; if you prefer something nutty and saucy, ask for more peanut butter sauce. I also grabbed a tea egg for just $1—an absolute steal and very tasty! It leans more sweet than savory, which reminded me of tea egg sweet soup. It’s definitely worth the money and worth a try if you’re already in Flushing.

We got the small beef and small shrimp versions, and they were incredible! The secret is in the sauces—definitely say "yes" to all of them. The mix of soy, peanut, and a hint of spicy sauce with a dash of sesame seeds is perfection. ​This place, a hole-in-the-wall located just steps off the subway, just look for the blue awning, is a fantastic value -- bring cash. Very easy to miss this place but definitely worth the effort to try out. I ordered a large portion of the pork rice rolls which took 10-15 minutes to receive and tasted great, but could've used some more pork and sauce in order to be perfect.

How yum!! I ordered the curry fish ball rice roll noodles (medium) which was $5 and it was delicious!! Just the perfect amount for sharing as a hearty snack. Also tried a bit of my friend's pork rice roll which was also great. Be prepared to eat it on the sidewalk. Save your cash for this place! I'm definitely coming back and bringing more friends :)

Quite a big fan of cheung fun during dim sum. My parents introduced me to this spot when it first opened a few years back. It was quite popular and still booming now. The cheung fun is absolutely delicious -- savory, filling, and reasonably priced. The bigger size containers are perfect to share with another person and can be divided into two or three portions. If I'm eating alone, I would get the smaller size since the portions are quite large and cheung fun is generally pretty filling. Only complaint is that I wish they included more sauce and fish balls. They add the sauce and fishballs at the end in those cylinder containers so it's always on the top. Recommend this spot for an affordable yet filling meal at Flushing.

No frills, hole-in-the-wall establishment that's cash-only - this is how you know it's good! It's conveniently located near the Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue entrance to the 7 Train, so definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Depending on the time of day, there may be a fairly long line, but it moves quickly. One of my favorite steamed rice roll places, specifically for the curry fishball option with peanut soy sauce combo. The rice rolls are the perfect balance of firm, yet springy, while the sauce is a bit on the thinner side. Their minced beef porridge is also solid and saves well. Either way, the food is always piping hot and fresh. There is a large and small size for these dishes, with generous portions for both.

Great price but didn't think the curry fish balls or steam rice roll was anything special. We got the medium for $5.50, I wish there was more of the peanut sauce.

Wanted to grab some food in downtown Flushing to take with me to the Mets game and found Fu Yuan, a literal (see pic) hole in the wall, immediately above the Flushing subway station on Roosevelt next to Main St. So glad I did. Saw Fu Yuan's selection of steamed rice rolls, so ordered a small portion of the Roast Pork ones for $3.75. Topped by a sauce, they were freshly made, sizable, filling, and super tasty! (See pic.) Will definitely come back to Fu Yuan for either those or try out one of their assorted other varieties!

Stopped here for a quick snack in Flushing and it did not disappoint! Hidden in a small stand in the wall, Fu Yuan has a bunch of cheap and quick bites. They're most known for their curry fish balls, so you already know that's what we got. At $5, we got the medium size which is honestly big enough to be a meal. It comes out super hot and is super flavorful!

Been coming here for years, and it's my go-to rice roll spot when in the area. They're the epitome of hole-in-wall and frills, located on busy main st. Bring cash! The food quality for the affordable price (compared to the other spots in the area) is superb given that they make the rice rolls fresh--the wait may just be a little longer than usual. They're on some delivery apps now, too, which is pretty neat! Their rice rolls are of course great, but their sides (love their beef stew) and even noodle dishes are pretty solid. I also always love doing the veggie add-ons and do the occasional egg if I'm feeling fancy for my rice rolls (my go-to is the fresh shrimp roll with watercress). The food isn't going to blow you out of the water, but it definitely feels homey and nothing short of tasty. All the flavors are mild, and nothing is overly saucy, even when you combine all their available sauces for some dishes (must do). Wishing they stick around for a long time!

They recently updated their menu and bumped the prices slightly (which is fine). I've been coming to Fu Yuan for years and over the years they've gotten more stingy with their toppings and sauces. If you want peanut or hot sauce you need to ask them now. They will only ask if you want soy sauce and even then they'll be very light with it. I ordered chicken and corn but found a few pieces they hid in the middle that had no toppings. For $7 I guess I should expect to be met with mostly rice and water. I think next time I'm craving rice rolls I'll just go to Joe's since they're about the same price but their rolls are always well topped and not overly dry.

For the price you get your bang for your buck. I got the dried shrimp rice rolls and for some reason they weren't great but since it was so cheap I would definitely try them again and get something else. I got pork and egg congee and it was really really good, it was missing some black pepper but not any points deducted on them. The one thing I will say is that their customer service is really great. Any request I asked them they completed it with a smile even if the task was really small(Like asking them for an extra fork)

This place is sooo good. Very fresh, thin, and bouncy rice crepes. I ordered the pork rice roll small and my boyfriend ordered the fish balls and rice noodle also small. Both are delicious! $6.75 for both! I'll be back tomorrow for the crispy shrimp noodle and the beef. So tasty and cheap. We went to Tangram Mall to grab a seat since there were no seats here.

This was the first stop on our food crawl and we ordered the small curry fish ball with noodle roll. I would recommend getting a small if you are doing a food crawl because it will had up. I really liked how bouncy the rolls were and the addition of the curry fish balls were amazing as well/

Probably my 2nd favorite steamed rice roll place. This is a cash only place- and they have an expansive menu. My favorite is probably their beef steamed rice roll with watercress, corn and fish balls (protein filled order- I know!). It's perfect for breakfast, and they make it fresh so you know it's good. It does take 5-10 minutes to make, so make sure you have enough time. The ladies are also so fantastic- there's only 4 people working but they really dish out everyone's orders quick! It's a small hole in the wall - literally, so there are no tables. You order, pay and wait on the side. It's right next to Dunkin Donuts on Roosevelt Ave. near the 7 train, so it's the perfect place to get your breakfast. Wonderful place.

Street stall, the texture is really good and the shrimps were juicy. really affordable and a large is fun to split between 2.

Helpful tip: it's a hole in a wall place so do not expect to eat at the restaurant or eat near it as there are no seating by the store. Definitely one of the best Cheung fun (rice noodle roll) place I've been to on the east coast! Definitely better than any other place in boston and it's great for price-flavor value. Fu Yuan is ordered thru a window so it can be easily missed since it is a quick service restaurant. We ordered the beef rice rolls, super delicious, the rice roll was slippery and cooked very well. Employees were kind and understood the assignment.

Best fishball rice noodle in queens. The rice noodle is perfectly chewy like you would find in chinatown. Curry fishball is delicious and they are not stingy on the sauce. Really small hole in the wall always busy.

I have had rice roll since I was young as I grew up going to dim sum. In Flushing there are many rice roll places but, I was looking for a budget-friendly (under $10). I showed up at 1pm and there was already 2 people in line. I got a medium shrimp rice roll ($4.5) with all the toppings (peanut sauce, hot sauce, hoisin sauces, and sesame seeds), a crispy shrimp roll ($5), and one shrimp roll plain (with soy sauce). It was amazing!! It was fresh, steamy, and very filling. All in all, I am definitely coming back. This is now my go-to for rice rolls in Flushing.

The price value at Fu Yuan for fresh rice rolls is unbeatable. I've tried the shrimp, beef, and pork rice rolls and all were delicious. If you want a different flavor, try the (very mild) curry fish balls with rice noodles. This is a Flushing staple!

Came here for the curry fishball rice rolls with the peanut soy sauce combo topped with sesame seeds and it was just what I wanted. I would say that the sauce combo was a bit more watery compared to ones I've gotten at HK style restaurants but it does the job. The medium is served in a small quart and is $5. It is a small store front near the 7 train station. There is no seating and cash only. Will be coming back here to satisfy my cravings.

Right on the heart of Main Street, Flushing lies a small restaurant that serves one of the best Rice Noodle Rolls I have ever eaten! There is no seating in this establishment but that's completely okay. For only $5, we ordered the large Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls. It was quite busy, so the food took a while to prepare (5-10 minutes), but the wait was well worth it! The rice noodle rolls were cooked to perfection and seasoned with just the right amount of soy sauce. It has been a few days since I have eaten this and I still can't stop thinking about how delicious it was. The rice noodle roll was so easy to eat and it is definitely a must try if you ever visit NYC!

Can't believe how addicting this was!! $5 for the medium which is such a good price. They fill the bottom with rice noodles which tasted super fresh and it was still hot, then scooped curry fish balls on top which tasted super homey. They add peanut sauce and light soy sauce for the perfect combination of flavors. They also offer sriracha on the side for an extra kick (I recommend). It look less than 2 minutes to order, get the food, and pay.

Small hole in the wall rice roll place in flushing near the subway. The rice rolls are all to go and are prepped right away. Ordering is quick at the booth. I got a large with shrimp. There was a ton of rice noodle, probably around a pound, with a handful of small shrimps. The rice noodle was a little thick compared to other places and there wasn't enough oil between the sheets for it to stay separated. The sauce was also a bit diluted. It's a convenient place to stop by for a snack before heading into the subway, but there are some better rice roll places.

3.5 stars I will say. They have variety of rice rolls and I like the curry ball and beef stew the best. The congee tasted ok but there was a lack of ingredients. Had the wonton noodle also, not impressed at all (very bland). Service was quick and if you don't want too much money on food , this is the place.

The noodles are soft and delicious. I ordered the crispy shrimp steam roll and chicken corn steamed roll. I didn't realize the crispy shrimp steam roll was a small order. I Would've ordered the regular shrimp roll. The crispy roll had more crunch to it than shrimps. I had two shrimps in each. The chicken corn steamed roll is a great portion and was worth it.

How did I find this place? My friend Ally introduced me to this spot. We walked on by at 8 AM in the morning seeking a place for dim sum and deliciousness...and we found it awesome. Note that it is small and has no seating available. It is basically a simple store front where you place your order. The orders of rice rolls (chern) are made fresh and will take a while to wait. Although it's super cold outside, these cha siu rice rolls (BBQ roast pork rice rolls) are delicious.

Fu Yuan in Flushing, Queens is a hidden gem serving up some of the best cheap eats in NYC. You'll definitely find something to enjoy as their menu offers a wide variety of noodle dishes. We tried the curry fish ball noodles and I enjoyed the sauce and full mouth flavor. My fiancée was a fan of the pork rice noodle roll, which she described as "super soft, silky and delicious." This place is a must-visit for anyone in search of the authentic noodle dishes. I'd highly recommend it.

Tried their rice roll couple of times already. The taste is acceptable. Of course it may not be as good as those rice roll cart in Chinatown but in a morning when you want to get a rice roll for breakfast this is an option. They accept cash!

The pricing was pretty cheap too. I got the shrimp rice roll with soy sauce. Plenty of food for a medium sized. If you're opting to try I suggest a small plate. The rice roll was fresh and hot. Great consistency and easy to enjoy. Shrimp was medium sized as there was plenty of them to enjoy. There isn't anywhere to stand and eat nearby so we walked around the corner where they had benches at a dining square area.

Rice roll - a stable chinese breakfast! the flavors were good but the rice rolls were a bit too soft and broke apart really easily. Soy milk and you tiao - the best combo! 10/10 recommend. Everything came out super fresh and delicious.

This is the spot to go for yummy steamed rice rolls! My favorite thing here is the Fishballs with Rice Noodle. I like to get my rice roll with all the sauce - peanut sauce, hot sauce, and sweet sauce. Rice rolls are soft and have a really nice chew to them. It comes with fishballs - you can get them normal or curry. At the end, they top it with sesame seeds. I always like to get the large size to share with the family!

This is my go-to for 魚蛋腸 (fish ball noodle rolls). Whether with oyster sauce or curry sauce, this place make the cheong fun for street eats. It's soft but rolled tightly, so the best way to described it to the uninitiated is that it's a Cantonese Tteokbokki. Now drizzling it with sweet oyster and peanut sauce, sriracha if you want it spicy, and sprinkle some sesame on it, and you got some delicious noodles to munch on. If you don't know what to get, just get the B1 or B2 with everything on it. Other highlights: - Noodle rolls: the noodle is firmer that the fresh made ones around the area. My recommended filling? Shrimp. - Crispy Shrimp roll: you might have seen it in the fried cart during dim sum. - Congee: Quick and fast for the sick who's too weak to cook. Also a good breakfast food. Sampan is a fish cake hodgepodge if you're curious.

busy as hell, which is not surprising. their rice rolls are incredibly popular and they had a lot of food delivery pick ups. there was a long line when I arrived at 9:30 AM. I opted to try this place vs going back to Joe's as it seems this place is just as good. I can't seem to find a place that does beef rice rolls as good as some dim sum restaurants, but their rice rolls are made the authentic way. it's delicious, light and airy. beef rice rolls is just ground beef steamed into the rice rolls itself. the curry fish balls looked so good. I got that for my husband and I bought a plain one for myself. my daughter and I shared the beef rice roll on the bus back to NoVA & it was the perfect lunch for us. highly recommend you try them! they do pour the soy sauce on so you can ask them to hold it if you don't want it drenched in soy sauce.

My go-to order is usually the pork & preserved egg congee and the curry fish ball rice noodles. I also recently tried the pork & watercress congee which was pretty good. For the curry fish balls, I usually get all the sauces except for the siracha sauce since I don't want them to make the rice noodle rolls spicy. Overall, delicious and affordable comfort food. BTW, it's CASH only.

I love their curried fish balls with rice noodles, it's absolutely a necessity at Fu Yuan to me. I heard about this place from a youtube video and never would have known to try it. The service was great, they asked me if I wanted it spicy or not, the quality is consistent in the two or three times i've been there, and the flavor is excellent.

If you like rice rolls, don't sleep on this place! It's on the main street, but it's a small place so it can be a bit hard to find. I got the crispy shrimp rice roll and it was SO GOOD. The rice roll was freshly made, the soft and slippery, just how it should be. Probably one of the best rice rolls I've had within the last few years.
