Definitely not the place for a quick lunch. The food is freshly prepared and takes time. I had the Strawberry Spinach Salad Lunch Special with Chicken, which was a great deal at $15.99, including fountain drink. A large portion of really good, fresh salad. Just a few steps from the Metro.

I was so glad to see that Fuddruckers in Chinatown had opened back up at this location, but it’s on the opposite side of the street. Great atmosphere. The restaurant is really nice when you come in it’s the bar area and dinning area and the upstairs, It’s more seating that’s where you order your food and then you pick up at the window on the other side. The food is really good. The menu looks great. I ordered the Texas Trio with the wedge fries really good which I recommend. Server: Sarah J was really friendly and courteous. I didn’t get the greeter‘s name when I walked in, but she was a really nice person. I will definitely be back.

Edible because I was starving but I ate less than half of my burger. Worst experience of any Fuddruckers I have been too. Food overcooked and cold to warm.

We were literally the only customers, ordered chicken sandwich and burger meals... $54 USD. Wait time was about 15 mins for the food. They use Coca-Cola freestyles and we're out of most everything despite not a single customer present.. and no evidence there had been any in a while. The food was mediocre and offensivly bland for this price point. The chicken sandwich wasn't even pickled or marinated, just deep fried chicken breast which was tough to eat, though properly cooked. Likely not the chefs fault but probably corporates recipes. The place is clean and nice smelling and they have good bathrooms that don't require a code which is nice. 2.5/5

Google
They honestly have the best fries—crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The veggie burger is just as impressive: flavorful, hearty, and made so well that you don’t even miss the meat. Everything tasted fresh, and the quality really stood out. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to whenever I’m craving something delicious but still light.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I would say the customer service I received from the young lady at the register and the gentleman (the manager) this evening was outstanding. I ordered a chicken sandwich, fried came with it. When I bit in to both, I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was well moistened and tasty. The fries were just as good.

It took a full hour for our food to come out and it definitely wasn't worth the $25 price tag. It seems like they were rationing the potatoes when they got to my plate because we got less than the people at tables near us. My friend ordered her burger medium well, and it looked closer to medium rare. Found out their milkshake machine was down 30 mins after we ordered it. I understand that they just opened but they were short staffed for a Saturday/gameday and have a lot of kinks to work out.

Surprised to see this location in DC Chinatown. Mom and I were excited since we haven't been to Fuddrickers in 8yrs back in the Bay Area. However will chalk up this disappointing lunch to being new. Shocked the hostess it was not their soft opening because the execution was not good. I asked for a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the cooks don't know how to make one. Barely any hot sauce and I had to go to the kitchen window to ask them for more and let them know the chicken should be dipped in it. I also asked for a side of onion rings which I only got 4 thin rings and it was over cooked! The burger my mom had was good but price is a bit high for what it is unless they compensate for the toppings bar. And they ran out of straws!! Smh Hope they get their act together in the next months.

Yelp
Fuddruckers is my fave burger and I was so happy when this location recently opened since most of the locations I used to go to have closed in the last couple of years. Fuddruckers is the tastiest! Great attention to detail, they butter and toast the buns, the meat burger is cooked to your liking, and you get to add all of your favorite toppings - as many as you want! I also love their potato wedge fries and the seasoning is my favorite part! This locations is very modern and nicely decorated, I really enjoyed it and the service was 5 star as well! One negative: the AC was not working upstairs when we were there, but hoping that is just an off day and they get this resolved!

Yelp
Man this one hurts to write. This was my FAVORITE restaurant as a kid, and when I saw it was reopening I was over the moon. But oh man, the service is so horrific despite the food being good I just can't recommend it. Also it's expensive as all get up, Clyde's has a similar or better burger for 10 bucks cheaper and you'll get it way faster. I've been three times now. First was opening night they were woefully understaffed, wait was over an hour and they informed us at the end they didn't even have any wings. Second time a few months later was no better, well over an hour wait, was almost late to the Caps game despite being an hour and a half early. Third time last week, even longer, almost 2 hours, and they still only have two cooks. There was a group of 10-15 people waiting and they all requested refunds. Really unforgivable service, and they've had a year to fix it. Yikes guys, yikes.

Yelp
Was looking for a place to eat. Saw a sign there was a Burger deal until 2pm. You're supposed to order from an electronic menu scanned via your phone, but that didn't work - so I orders directly with the bartender. He seemed nice enough, but spent a good amount of time on his phone Cheese was an additional amount of money. Burger comes out plain and they give you a Ziploc bag of toppings for the burger. The food was good Paid about $30 for a burger and fries and beer. I was ready to go shortly after getting the food. This place needs work.

Yelp
Fuddruckers has been one of my favorite burger spots since childhood, so needless to say I was excited when they returned back to Chinatown, and even more excited when I was able to try them out during an event I attended that was being hosted there. Unfortunately, that's about as far as the excitement goes for this review. On a positive note, the space is huge! There are two floors, with the bottom level having more of a bar vibe and the upstairs area having more of the traditional sit down restaurant style (there is a full service bar upstairs as well though). The service staff were friendly and helpful, which is probably the best thing going for them right now as they figure out everything as a newly opened restaurant. When it came to the food I wasn't impressed - in fact I was quite disappointed. I don't know if it was because of nostalgia, or because the food was off their catering menu, but the taste just didn't live up to what I remembered Fuddruckers to be. There was nothing particularly bad with the food, it was just that everything tasted okay and you could get the same quality of food from any random bar in the city. Luckily I wasn't paying because the menu prices are outrageous high in my opinion. I don't know if it's inflation or each location sets their own prices, but I don't remember ever paying $20 for their smallest combo burger meal. While I would like to give Fuddruckers Chinatown another try in a few months after they figure everything out, I'm hesitant to go back based on the blandness of the food and the steep prices.

Yelp
Hey friends! I was so hype to head Fuddruckers was making a return. Similar to a lot of people, Fudds is nostalgic for me. I even had one of my birthday dinners at the Silver Spring location lol. Buttttt, unfortunately I see this location only being a tourist pit. I ordered the Half Smoke entree($17). Comes with a drink and fries. The hot dog was okay, it smelled weird lol. It also did not come with sautéed onions as the menu states. The fries were so amazing, just how I remember them. There's a soda tower with unique flavors as well as sweet/unsweetened tea available for drinks. Unfortunately, most flavors on the soda tower were out. It was nice to see that they had a toppings bar at this location, so nostalgic. The toppings bar was fully stocked and all items looked fresh. My boyfriend ordered the 1/2 LB burger($22). Also comes with a drink and fries. My boyfriend enjoyed it. His only distaste was that he requested medium rare and the cashier let him know that the kitchen only cooks medium and well done. That was strange, I've heard of restaurants only cooking certain temps, but for a restaurant where burgers are the main attraction is strange. Customer service was okay. The host was friendly. Our cashier was confused. Must've been in training. The pickup station was chaotic but that is to be expected of a new restaurant. The interior is huge. It features two floors with a full service bar on both floors. Plenty of tables to dine-in. Tables were clean and well stocked. A huge discomfort was the temperature inside. I've seen other reviews regarding this as well. The AC was not on at all. And I went on a 70-degree day. They should be able to afford some AC with those menu prices lol. Most likely won't be back but it was great nostalgia. Hope you enjoy! With love, The Picky Pescatarian

Yelp
Where do I begin? Ignoring the fact that they ran out of burgers, chicken and ELK, the place felt like a dying restaurant with no music playing and maybe 3 workers there total. I guess management was content with doing a terrible job. Fuddruckers is an American treasure that is being wasted right now. Do better! Sunny D out.

Yelp
Deliciousness - 4/5 Happiness - 5/5 A sparkling clean Fuddruckers a few miles from my office near the Capital One center? Yes please! Nostalgia rush? You know it! I absolutely loved Fuddruckers (yes I know, Fudds), growing up. And I'm happy to say that even being open only a week, this place replicates the excellent burger taste I remember from my childhood, while adding a bevy of fun drinks (at good Happy Hour prices) on top. The bottom floor is a bar that currently only serves apps food-wise (although they said they eventually hope to get the full menu down there)- mainly wings, sliders, and fried foods. The top is a traditional restaurant with burgers of all types and their awesome steak fries. I ordered the sliders and they were top notch in the taste department, extremely meaty for a slider with a beautifully toasted bun (and lots of optional jalapenos to load on top of them). I also quite liked both my drinks. One was a Jaws-themed one that looked prettier than it tasted. But my Ketel One vodka drink (mixed with peach schnapps) was outstanding. And the bartender, RJ, was a gentleman and very engaging. Large TVs were appropriately everywhere for an arena-adjacent location. As with any new place, there's some room for improvement. It took an extremely long time to get my food (nearly an hour) despite the bar area being relatively uncrowded for a Thursday. They announce to-go orders too loudly over a loudspeaker through the entire building. And it would indeed be nice to be able to access the full dinner menu at the bar. But I'm sure this will be ironed out. And none of this distracts from the main message. Fudds is back baby!

Yelp
What can I say they have one of the best burgers out here! Glad they finally opened up the new location. Right off the train from gallery place. Spacious and there's a bar in there!

Yelp
I visited Fuddruckers in Chinatown, my first visit to the chain in years. I visited just minutes before it opened for the day during the middle of the week, so there wasn't much of a crowd, but the service was fantastic in my experience. Every worker was super friendly and helpful. The ambiance was also nice, with multiple TVs showing sports shows and 2 floors worth of seating. I ordered the create your own burger and added avocado and blue cheese, along with the several free toppings. The food was tasty and I'd probably just drop a star because the price was a big high, amounting to over $35, but since I ordered the one pound burger, it filled me up for 2 meals.

Yelp
I was underwhelmed with my first visit to Fuddruckers. I was a huge fan of the location in Pittsburgh a long time ago, and I was expecting the same quality here. The lunch special is pretty mediocre--a plain hamburger with a surcharge for cheese? Ugh. The wait time was extremely long for a pick-up window. The milkshake I ordered was never made until I asked someone to make it after over 20 minutes, and it barely filled 3/4 of the small cup. On top of that, it was barely blended. It was an extremely weak first showing. I hope this location improves!

Yelp
Stopped by here to eat the day after they opened for business and my goodness gracious, NO THANK YOU!!! I posted the below commend on their IG page and the"owner" got all sassy with me (see photos for screenshots). "Don't do it. Went yesterday and it is WAY OVERPRICED. Compare it with the prices at their Ashburn location. $28 for a bacon burger combo?!?! The bun was bigger than the patty and the burger was small for the price point. Oh and I forgot to mention one of the faucets in the women's bathroom didn't work properly, was out of jalapeno nacho cheese in the machine, at least 4 tables sat with trash and leftover food and no one came to clear the tables until after we had been there for 20 or so minutes.." Also see pictures for screenshots of price difference for this location vs their Ashburn location. I'm pretty sure the lease for this location is sky high but again, the food does NOT match the price point. AT ALL. Did I mention there was hardly anyone in there dining? They probably saw the prices, turned right back around and dipped. Went again last week (not by choice or request) because my boyfriend wanted to take his son. Well guess what?! Mostly empty dining area upstairs again, burger was hella dry, gave plastic to-go cups instead of the big cup that we got the first time we ate here, and the food took way too long. The owner pretty much said I'm broke yet the towel paper dispenser in the women's room had apparently fallen off the wall cause it was sitting on the counter. So who's the broke person in this situation? #rhetorical This will be a tourist trap this summer and I can guarantee you, they won't be open by the end of the year.

Yelp
Bottom line up front- save your money and go to Clyde's I will not return, I do not recommend. Now for the review. WTH are you thinking????? I very much agree with the other comments on how this location is 20-30% more expensive to other Fudruckers. I really like Fudruckers but at $20-$25 for a burger you're crazy. Clyde's for the same meal charges $17. Service is walk up and order like you would expect so no real table service but with higher then table service prices. And then they have audacity to ask for a tip. The location is really cool the full bar is a nice touch and the renovations impressive. It has average noise. If prices were better matched to the area this could be a mop up win for the block. But at the rate they are going they will be closed on 6months. I have the following recommendations: 1) increase the perception of value. Lower the costs of your food to maybe even blow that of other Fudruckers, be open later after games. This will drive volume and popularity. 2) make customer service your priority. 3) maintain a value for your cocktail program and happy hour pregame specials. 4) make sure you have consistency in your drinks. I wrote a very similar review 2 years ago highlighting the shortcomings of the now very closed "Taffers" on the other side of the block.

Yelp
Great food with and even better experience. The service was amazing, the staff was very friendly and welcoming and the ambiance was fantastic. Perfect for place to watch the games

Yelp
Be prepared to wait about 30 to 45 minutes after ordering your food. Under stuffed. Nice place but we won't be coming back again.

Heidi J.

Yelp
Service is absolutely terrible. Had to wait over one hour for a burger. Total incompetence

Antonio D.

Yelp
The Salmon burger is one of my favorite items on the menu. They haven't missed with it yet! I'll be back again and again!

Nick W.

Yelp
I remember Fuddruckers from back in the day, but this is on a WHOLE new level. The definitely delivered a "2025" version. New specialty burgers, Wings!!, and my favorite part, I get as much produce as I want. Restaurant was really clean and the bartenders were really friendly. Happy hour specials were a good deal. I look forward to arranging a private event for my colleagues. See you next week!

Dean M.

Yelp
The young lady that took our order was sweet but they had none of the premium burgers that were on the menu. Apparently, we were told that everyone ate them ALL and they would never be coming back. Then we were directed upstairs instead of allowing us to sit at the bar for lunch on a Friday. However, the upstairs air conditioning seems to be broken. we were told no drink drinks we're gonna be served until 4 PM because there was no bartender available. I was looking so forward to coming back to Fuddruckers and I guess I can't come back
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
Burgers were subpar, but service was atrocious. Wasn't expecting any kind of 5 star food or service but jeez. staff couldn't communicate what was going on - kitchen took 55 mins per order and kept leaving stations when they could've been helping.
google avatar

Crystal W.

Yelp
They're baaaacckkk!!!! and better than ever. I grew up on Fuddruckers burgers so of course I was excited when I heard they where coming back to Chinatown. The spot is a nice spacious two level burger bar, great for groups. The staff was very welcoming, efficient and made the vibe feel fun. They also had a nice variety on the menu. I ordered an original beef burger combo and let me tell you STILL THE BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD 10/10!!!!
google avatar

Dwayne S.

Yelp
A friend and I walked in, and the greeter never said Welcome to Fuddruckers but aggressively asked for our IDs. We showed her the IDs, and she said nothing else. Nothing about thy dining options of upstairs vs downstairs or enjoy the visit. We went upstairs, there was no air circulating, and there was a long wait despite only a few people in line. With prices like they have, they need the customer service to be stellar. We left.
google avatar

Mike W.

Yelp
They need another month or two to get their act together. They are not ready for prime time. Who closes a bar on a Saturday before a Wizards game. The kitchen is SLOOOOOOW. I sat downstairs at the bar. They need more bar tenders for sure. So order 3 drinks at a time. The staff is really nice. They just need more time.

Lindsey N.

Yelp
It took a little long for us to get our food but it is soooooo worth it the burgers are great. The surroundings are like a burger and milkshake shop. Btw I highly recommend this place if you like american food

Ameerah J.

Yelp
Great service great food always a great deal when I go in there they have daily specials

Dj R.

Yelp
This location is on a whole different level! The vibes are different during any part of the day and regardless of when you go you will enjoy! The level up from the traditional Fuddruckers is a site to see! I haven't been to a Fuddruckers in some time and stumbled upon this location in Chinatown while in DC. Boy was I surprised! My chance for. Nashville Hot, Fudds fries dipped in cheese sauce and I'm always torn between sweet tea or a shake! To top it off...they have two full bars! Can't wait to see where they open next!

Tina E.

Yelp
The food was great, the service was excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful. This place has the best burgers in town, and I will definitely be back .

Jane B.

Yelp
This location certainly lives up to its logo as "World's Greatest Hamburgers". Burgers were amazing and service was second to none. Thanks for bringing Fuddruckers back to Chinatown!!

Chesa B.

Yelp
Do a lap to and grab a place to sit before you order; came here with my family and it didn't seem too crowded, but there were many people taking up tables and working/not leaving when they were done eating... Which is fine, but as a result there wasn't anywhere for my family to sit. And because we had my son, we weren't allowed to sit on the lower level. I get that they want a bar area, but we ordered for "here" and then waited for twenty minutes and finally asked a couple of it we could share their table.

Larry W.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my experience at FuddRuckers DC Chinatown! My wait time was a bit long but it was well worth it when I got my food! The decor is nice and I am excited that its back in DC!

Ns S.

Yelp
This is a new location in DC and it did not disappoint. The food was great and the service was excellent. Fuddruckers is back in the area with it's much improved location and atmosphere. The traditional fixings bar is setup where you can personalize your burger to your liking. Quality is top notch.
