Yelp
SERVICE: Very upbeat bartender who kept claiming he was living the dream. Quick, attentive, And very sweet.
Ordered tribes beer and 6 wings with buffalo on the side.
DRINKS: $8 for a tall boy, $6 for a pint. Fairly reasonable prices with 14 beers on tap. And a few choices in bottles and cans.
ATMOSPHERE: There were only 4 people on a Wednesday night. So this is good for a quiet, cheap drive-by dinner. No one bothered me, which is just as well because I didn't want to talk. At one point two people had their laptops out and the bartender joked that they were making him look bad. A patron quipped that they were all here in the first place, because they had to get work done.
FOOD: Everything is obviously frozen here, and I knew from the previous establishment-- Chuckie's-- that they don't have a full service kitchen. Just some ovens and warming receptacles. But I wanted to try anyways. The wings were pretty soggy... and breaded. They would do better to get non breaded wings, because breading needs to be deep fried. That said, I wasn't actually disappointed, because I knew what I was getting into. If I come back, I'll probably do the pizza. Or skip food altogether and go to one of the places next door for tacos.
ALL IN ALL: Great neighborhood place to come drink. I would skip the food if you can. But if you must, try something other than the wings.
