the best gift shop in the world. so sad that they're closing. every item is so special and colorful and joyful. all are handmade! just wow. the owner greets every single customer from his heart. a special man. just like Amy Bryan has said "it is strangely uplifting" to be there! definitely the most unique shop I've been to.

The owner was very helpful and knowledge about the pieces in his shop. I bought this beautiful pillow cover made by women in India.

I can't recommend this store enough. Beautiful, unique pieces that will make great gifts for any kind of audience. I bought several handcrafted postcards with dried flowers made by women artisans from rural El Salvador--this is how carefully selected and special every item is. The owner, Alex, was seriously one of the highlights of my trip to New York--one of those meaningful, unexpected conversations that you hardly forget. I can't wait to go to this store again the next time I'm in New York.

This Mexican themed store is definitely worth the visit if you’re in the neighborhood.. picked up this gorgeous wallet, but I’m too afraid to use it, as it looks like a piece of art.

Such an amazing shop! Could spend hours looking around at all the fun items. Artwork, books, trinkets, all so great! But the highlight of it all was spending time talking with the owner, Alex. He is such a kind soul! Greeted us warmly, chatted with us, and gave us some good life wisdom. He had us all walking out of his store with big smiles on our faces. Thank you, Alex, for being the highlight of our day!!

This is an amazing shop! I made my first visit on Christmas Eve for last minute stocking stuffer gifts and I wanted to buy everything! Great, unique gifts - not your usual shop. Such friendly and helpful staff. Great artistry and a wide selection to choose from. I will absolutely be going back every time I need gifts!

Such a wonderful place, a gem of the neighborhood. I've purchased a few pieces of Mexican folk art from them which I love. The shop owner is so friendly and he chooses such a wonderful selection of items in the store, which he updates and changes often. The way everything is set up in the shop is so atmospheric and creates a whole alternate state of reality. Please support this local business, places like these make NYC iconic.
