Fuego Burger

Stopped in here, heard about this place for a good minute now not to mention it's just blocks away from my home so I'm passing it on a daily basis. I stopped in to give it a try The atmosphere was dull and dark, I was greeted by Christy whom was sitting at a table on her phone when I came in I looked at the menu and then I placed my order a burger with fries The counter says no refunds no exchanges! Telling me that it's a really good burger and it's one of the biggest in fort Worth and it's definitely worth the try, okay let's do it I said! Put my card in the machine she puts gloves on and proceeds to make my order, I turn to use the restroom and pitch black couldn't see nothing, I return to my seat and notice Christy no longer had gloves on. Okay I thought, but then I saw her scratch her head, did rub her nose with the back of her hand, and scratched your head again, it raised the red flag and I'm thinking she's going to wash her hands, no she did not she went right over to the grill took a piece of bacon out put it on the grill with no gloves on with her fingers of which she scratched her head with. At that point I knew I was not going to be able to eat the burger knowing I couldn't get a refund because it says so. I didn't say anything because I knew the review would hurt! I watched her scratch her head three times rub her nose once put her hands in her pockets twice All this while cooking food with no gloves on and she didn't wash them once not to mention she had flip-flops on. The presentation of the food was nice however I do want to point out, When a restaurant cooks too many fries and they intend on selling them to the next customers heed to this message your customers know when your fries are dipped in oil not once but twice we know that Don't do that! Customers are not paying for leftovers if you have leftovers that's your problem that's not a me problem, I took the food I was not going to eat it. again knowing I would not be able to get a refund, I will not be going back there and I hope whoever thinks they want to go there reads my review and thinks twice

Really good burgers and great staff. A bit disappointed after reading the reviews, was expecting amazing but got good. I guess you should never over hype a place in your head. I would recommend if you are in the area.

The food is great! Best onion rings! Veggie burger is awesome! Will bring our meat eating family soon, but I know it must be good because it is highly recommended by friends. A/C was out but the dining room wasn't bad at 1:00/1:30.

I have three places that I've eaten that I'll never forget and this is one of them. Hands down the best burger I've ever had. The fried pickles were also delicious and hand breaded. The tator tots with queso and green chiles is a MUST. And the Fuego Burger... Dear god. It was transcendent. My husband got the bacon bleu cheese and it was also his favorite that he's ever had. For grass fed beef, homemade ranch, hand breaded everything, and cane sugar fountain drinks this place is worth every single penny. When I'm watching Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dives on Food Network, this is how I expect that food to taste.

This is a really good place to eat. My lady had the Cheeseburger on a Gluten Free bun. Which was really good. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger with bacon. It was great. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about Gluten Free items and takes special care to cook accordingly. When it is Tamale Season don’t forget to give them a try. Freaking delicious.

Amazing! The older location use to be near my house, this was our first time coming since he moved location and it was more than worth the drive! If you go during February definitely get the Fig Laboski Burger, but hard to go wrong with any on the menu. One of the best burger places in all of DFW.

Wow, great burger with crispy fries. They cook the hamburger and then put the cheese on the grill with the green chilies and then put the meat on top so that it soaks the flavor into the meat. Messy but highly recommended.

Not what you expected pulling up. Not the most welcoming place in a shopping center but the food is delicious. Great burgers and options for each individual for a family. Had the fuego burger and the burnt cheese is a great edition. We got ours to go and all was packed well but I recommend eating these juicy burgers in store. It's a hole in the wall for sure, old chairs and tables to sit at, reserved signs up that you can't sit at a table for 6 unless you have 5 or more which is what we have so respect but crazy we have to put that up for the people to know. Tator tots and onion rings were great fries were just crinkle fries. This place is pricey is my highest knock, could have got kids a pizza and wife and I could have gone on a date for the price of 5 burgers, one chili dog, one order of fries, onion, rings, and tots with only water was just north of $100

I was SUPER excited to try this place and brought my appetite with me. I heard this burger spot was one of the best in DFW. My wife had the Garden burger which the owner custom blends himself. My wife doesn't eat meat, so she'll usually have a garden type burger whenever it is on the menu. She has had non-meat burgers all over the world and the garden patty here is in her top 3 most favorites. I had the Cowtown burger, which I felt was ok. In my opinion, it lacked a bit in flavor. The same applies for the green chili cheese fries, primarily due to the crinkle cut fries not being the best quality.

If you like to drive to good places to eat this place is definitely worth the drive. The burger is outstanding! The bun is soft and buttery. The meat seasoned to perfection. I like my burger well done but some times it makes it dry. Not here. My burger was juicy and flavorful. The various choices in soft drinks is surprising in such a small place. Now if you're looking for a fancy burger shop instead of a outstanding burger this place is not for you. If you are a burger foodie you have to go here. No frills here just good burgers and service.

Went and did a follow up on this place. This is right now my favorite burger spot. Had the signature Fuego Burger and the Classic Burger with cheese. Cooked perfectly and the melted cheese ring, the Fuego burger lives up to the hype. Paired with some tater tots with cheese it was a great combo. The Classic with cheese also was perfectly cooked. The husband and wife team do everything they can to make sure you are enjoying yourself. This is my go to place for a great burger.

This place is located in an unassuming strip mall next to a cell phone store. I sat in the parking lot, waiting on a friend to meet me there and noticed car after car pulling up and getting stuff to go. I decided to go on in and the owner offered me a drink while I waited on my friend. I talked to several people that were ordering while I was there and decided to go with their suggestion of the Fuego burger and I had to get the onion rings. I'm a big fan of onion rings. These are incredible. The burger is one of the best burgers I've had in Fort Worth. I've had many, many, many burgers in Fort Worth. It is definitely in my top five. None of those are better than the other, it is just preference at the time. If you are wondering if you should go to Fuego Burger, get in the car and go. It will be worth it. Spend a minute talking to the owner too, he's a great guy.

I ordered the homemade veggie burger, and it is the best veggie burger I have had! It is full of great veggies, and it's tasty!!! Also, it is a great value for the price - it's a big patty. The owner is awesome and takes the time to explain items on the menu. I will be coming back!

Nothing to be said. The Fuego burger strikes again! I cannot believe how consistent and high-quality this burger is on every visit. The husband and wife team are phenomenal, creating a family room, dining experience.

"Hot diggity dog, that's a burger!", said my 6'5'' 225lb husband. We've only been back in Texas for a few weeks and Fuego Burger has quickly become his new favorite burger joint. In fact, he went on consecutive days this week. Once with a co-worker and once with me, because he had to experience it again. So why is it so good? 1. The pride the owner has for his product and restaurant! 2. Attention to detail. 3. Great (maybe the greatest) craft soda selection in town! 4. The buns! These babies are homemade and squishy. 5. The onion rings... you get the whole onion! 6. Burgers be stacked! Thick patty. 7. BIG MENU... there's lots to try! 8. No frills, just good service and good grub. Are we going back? I don't think I have a choice... my husband wants to be a regular!

First time here. It's a small, older business complex with basic signage. It seems like it'd family owned and operated. They walk around asking if you need anything which is nice ! The Patty Melt was Juicy and delicious. It came on sourdough, that's why I chose it. I also had Shiner Bock chili cheese fries . The meal was very satisfying!

This is a burger restaurant with delicious food! A friend and I stopped in to sample a real, live Fuego Burger today for lunch. The sign out front looks a bit "divey" and inside there is a cozy-dive vibe with some fairly eclectic decor. There are a few tables, restrooms, and a couple of refrigerated coolers. No fountain drinks here but there are bottled drinks, tea, and free water. There are even some desserts in the coolers. The person who took our order greeted us and thanked us for coming in. He could tell we were newbies and gave us a nudge in the right direction. I ordered a Swiss mushroom burger and an order of Green Chile Tater Tots. All items are sold separate and they seemed a bit pricey to me. $13 for a burger and $8 for tater tots. The order taker asked us if we wanted our burgers pink... eww. I definitely wanted mine well done. We found a seat just before the place started getting busy, and had a few minutes to chat before our food arrived. Pretty loud in this small, echo friendly space. Our food arrived and it looked pretty amazing! The bacon was plainly visible between two fat buns. The chile tots did indeed have green chile stacked atop cheese covered tots, fried golden and perfect. Alas, the beef patty was a hearty medium rare... I didn't send it back but I always worry about hamburger meat when it isn't cooked all the way. I did see that the order taker wrote a note stating how the meat was to be cooked but maybe the cook didn't see it. Anyway it was very good and the tots were great too. The buns were slightly sweet and complimented the burger well. The order taker advised that the buns were shipped from Houston and were a type of sweet sourdough. Overall, my visit was very good. I would like to go again and check out some other types of burgers.

5 years later and this place is still cranking out delicious burgers! It has moved to yet a different location from the 2 I previously visited, hopefully this location sticks? Ever since I introduced hubs to this place, he's craving it all the time LOL I've never had something here I didn't enjoy. Of course the Fuego Burger is where it's at. The cheese ring gets me every time! Their buns are so soft and compliment the patty very well. Sometimes I have to venture out and try something new. Their mushroom swiss burger is probably my 2nd favorite. Hubs has ordered their Cowtown burger before and liked it. Tots are always perfectly cripsy. The inside isn't very big. but there are several tables accommodate a decent sized lunch crowd. Service has always been friendly. They are on the pricy side, but not any worse that most places these days. The quality does justify the price IMO.

My husband and I went out of our way to come here based on his coworker's recommendation - coming from Irving, it took us about 45 minutes. We would NEVER have found this little hole in wall place. It doesn't look like much outside since they have the window coverings to keep the inside cool. Our biggest gripe was the price. Our burgers were great- but if i wanted cheese on it the price went up something like $3-4. I'm sorry, but we all know it doesn't cost that much. BUT, the quality of the burger was great. And that alone would bring me back again. My husband got the patty melt and also enjoyed it. The mac and cheese bites were not worth it, I wouldn't suggest them. We couldn't even finish the portion of 4- something with the breading was funky. But my husband also got chili cheese tots and they were really good. I'd get them again- and we could honestly share a side. We didn't realize they had fountain sodas until afterwards, so that probably would have saved some money. We spent about $50 for the cheeseburger, patty melt, mac and cheese bites, chili cheese tots and two sodas. We also added a banana pudding at the end- I think about about $5. For that price, i would probably not frequent this place... but the burgers were very good.

Tried to eat here, the guy working wouldn't let me have my bottle of water. Said I had to buy his very expensive one instead or get food to go. He was rude af and surprised he was willing to lose a sell over a bottle of water. Explains why there was literally 1 person in there eating at 1pm. Went around the corner to Fred's and they were packed. Got sit down and waited on zero issues with my bottle of water. Be better!

Delicious hole in the wall burger joint. My girlfriend and I stopped here to eat before a concert after hearing good things about it online. We had the Fuego Burger and the Green Chile Cheese Tots (add fried egg). The food came out quick and hot. The employees were super friendly and helpful in suggesting their specialties. The ranch was also really good and you could tell it was homemade.

I've have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Fuego Burger was in close proximity to me. I was a little hungry so, I headed that way.. It's a nice Burger Joint, small, dark and decorated with a Texas and Dog theme. The guy at the front was busy cooking, he finally acknowledged me but, I decided to leave. I didn't want to spend that much for a snack. I will come back when I have a bigger appetite.

The burgers are really good and big. The service was great the place is nice inside . The neighborhood is a little less to desire. Overall the dining experience is good.

The Fuego Burger is just delicious! We did takeout and our burgers were still hot 20 minutes later by the time we got home.

First time in. I ordered the Fuego Burger, (it was suggested at the counter) over all it was ok. The grilled ring of cheese was the best part. The meat seemed under seasoned, green chilies were very mild and not a lot of flavor in the jalapeño mayo. I typically get a patty melt with jalapeños or classic cheese burger loaded. I'll stick with those if I come back in. Music was a bit load and It was pretty hot inside too. Had to keep wiping the sweat while eating.

Fuego Burger was so delicious. The burgers were juicy and had so much flavor. I got the bacon mushroom Swiss and it could not have been cooked better. I recommend this place to anyone that loves burgers. The fries were crispy and tasty.

Hole in the wall but not a single thing about it makes it normal. First bite of the Fuego burger (actual name of the joint and their star burger) and I was in love. Not many burger places ask you for rarity. Great service as well with good drink options.

This place was finally open. Look there have been a few times we went to this place during normal business hours and it was not open. So to have this place open when I called I was excited. Me and hubs got in our car and drove over quick. I must say the burgers are big, and delicious. Would I go back, probably yes! It is a bit small in there, and a bit warm but other than that the food was on point. I gave it 4 stars due to the misleading open sign

Went out of our way for this one and it did not disappoint. This is one of those small businesses you can truly see and feel every bit of detail. We had the Fuego burger and though appreciated the unique factor, it just wasnt my flavor. 5 star review regardless of that. They make their own onion rings which are some of the best rings I've had in years. Their mac n cheese bites were absolutely homemade as well, and I loved that. I loved how they made a lot of unique things in the burger category (like the cheese skirt) that you dont see elsewhere. The bun is sweet. I had a bite of the hot dog, and it was also solid! I was into this burger spot and felt It is worth the drive for those who are 30+ minutes away. We got 2 burgers, a hot dog, mac n cheese bites, onion rings, fries, and 2 drinks and was like 65 bucks. Oof but that's just how it is now I guess.

This has to be in the top burger I have had in a long while. Just plain cheese burger, medium with veggies (no onions). The Best!!!!

Amazing burger with an option of fresh avocado!! The buns are delicious as well as the crispy onion rings. Even the iced tea tasted great! My kind of special hole in the wall joint and we will definitely be back!!!!

First time at Fuego Burger. You place your order at the back. The owner/chef came out to explain the burger of the month. He was so friendly and happy to tell us about the burgers. Today it was a French type burger with opinion soup caramelized opinions with melted Gruyère cheeses. He made it sound so good! My friend ordered the Fuego Burger and I had the burger of the month and we split an order of fries. He asked us how we would like our burger cooked. DELICIOUS!! The burgers were cooked perfectly!!! We will be back!!!

This place is the best of the best. Forget the rest this is the best. Carlos and family are inspired & incredible. The service is incredible. It has the genuine hole in the wall Texas atmosphere.

Drove an hour to try this place. Totally worth the drive. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The burgers taste as good as they look. Awesomely messy just like a real burger should be. Definitely will come back for more!

Over priced crap. $60 + for two burgers, onion rings and chili cheese tots Only flavor was from the toppings. Had to try it once

We have been going to Fuego Burgers for about 1 year and it has been great until today. We got 2 burgers, onion rings and fried pickles. First of all they put the burger in the same container as the onion rings so the burger was sitting in a puddle of oil from the onion rings. Normally they put the onion rings in a separate container which brings me to the next issue, the onion rings are expensive but I do not mind paying the price because they normally fill the container up but since they put the burger in the same container I got less than half the onion rings I normally get and definitely not worth the price. Last issue is small but the hamburger patty was in crumbled pieces. We thought we found the best burger place but now not sure we will go back, this was very disappointing. I live in Ft Worth, TX not San Francisco, CA (was not able to edit my location).

Amazing burgers! We were at a nearby volleyball tournament and wanted burgers, and this place had the best reviews. I had the fuego burger which was amazing, and my daughter had a regular burger with bacon which was also really good. The buns are good, the fries are good, and their drink options are mostly bottled cane-type sodas. The owner (I assume) was also so helpful, friendly, and deservedly proud of his food. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. Oh, I almost forgot the cookie...it was a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie that was not as good as the burgers but definitely still a 4/5.

Very small place easy to miss. Very polite owner Gentleman that helped me and my order was fast without any errors. Very think juicy burger seasoned well. The fries were crunchy even after a drive home.

This place is incredible and I rarely give such praise! The fuego burger is melt in your mouth deliciousness. Tater tots are always on point. Other things on the menu are great too, we never had a bad experience. Don't let the looks fool for you or deter you from giving this place a shot, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely love their Specialty Burgers. Everything is made fresh and to order. Have been a few times. This is my go-to place for gourmet burgers. Service has always friendly and fast. It lacks ambiance, and can get crowded quickly, and with very little place to sat, dine out/ ordering to go may be the best option. However, the food and service on the multiple times I visited has been superb!

I tried this place on my outing . Service was good. Ambiance . Ok. Food Order A Swiss Cheese mushroom Burger with fries. Every thing priced single. Burger Was Homemade Real Ground Meat. Hot Fresh . Fries they weren't that great. I Enjoyed The Food.

Fabulous and cooked to order burger!!! Unique bun which couldn't be better! Husband loved the crunchy crinkle fries. The location and shopping center and less than attractive but don't let that stop you! Go on in and give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

I just stumbled upon this place on my way home. I can't believe how lucky I am! The best burger I have eaten. I opted for the bacon, mushroom, Swiss burger! The buns are so soft and delicious. The patty was cooked perfect and juicy! Gotta get messy with a good burger. Onion rings hit the spot! I told the cashier that I just moved to the area. Little did I know she was the owner of the place. She brought me a sample of their chili Verde, and that was delicious too! Everybody was so friendly and made me feel right at home! I will definitely be going back to this establishment to try out other items for sure! A super casual environment. This place is a hidden gem!

The Fuego Burger is hands down my favorite burger of all time. Every element of this masterpiece just works. The service is always prompt and very courteous. We've been coming here since they opened and have never gotten our order wrong. We typically do carryout but they have a nice comfortably dining room with lots of fun decor. This is one of my favorite places in Fort Worth and I will definitely be a lifelong customer.

Food is disgusting since they changed locations. Burgers are especially terrible. Onion rings are not even so-so.

Excellent burger - several varieties. Hand made patties. Very good fries and rings as well. If I visit around lunch I often see LE dining there - they know where the good food is.

We stopped by Ffuego Burger to check-out its reputation as a "hidden gem" and we were not disappointed! Carlos greeted us & took our order, paying special attention to detail (like medium rare, medium, or well-done). I had the Fuego Burger, my wife had a double cheeseburger and we shared sweet potato fries & onion rings. The burgers were cooked to perfection - juicy, flavorful and memorable! The fries & onion rings were delicious. We'll be back, often!

Ok so I drove from Plano to eat this burger. Totally worth it. Easily top 3 in the metroplex. Very good flavor, lot of variety on the menu for non burger people. Service was friendly. Very ordinary strip mall, wouldn't think anything of it if you just drove by.

really solid hole in the wall burger restaurant! the man at the counter was really helpful walking us through all the options on the menu. we ended up ordering the fuego burger, onion rings, tots with green chili and egg, and my friend got the special, pork belly. EVERYTHING WAS DELCIOUS! Huge portions. my only complaint was that the tots got soggy really fast so I wouldn't get that many toppings again, and there's a few too many options on the menu. will definitely be back!
