The Best Kosher Restaurants and Markets in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Fuego Mundo is a wood-fired, South American grill that’s not only kosher, but the entrees and sides here are also gluten-free. Separate fryers are used for gluten-free dishes. Expect a large selection of steaks and churrasco (grilled meat skewers) and plenty of grilled vegetables and tofu to round out the meal. The yucca fries with dairy-free ranch dip and the Uruguayan grass-fed ribeye are standout items on this menu. Shabbat family meals available. Patio seating." - Robbie Medwed

We had a great experience at FugegoMundo! The unique appetizers were a standout—creative and full of flavor. The main dishes were just as impressive, delicious and well-prepared. What really made the visit even better was the quick and efficient service; our food arrived much faster than expected, and everything was hot and fresh. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a smooth dining experience! 😋

Incredible experience from start to finish! The quality of the kosher meat was outstanding—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The service was warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The ambiance was inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Whether you're looking for a classic steak, juicy burgers, or authentic kosher dishes, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommended!

Google
Sad establishment the service starts off poor and slowly fizzles to 0. Don’t order the beef it’s unchewable. Had to order a second dish which to my surprise wasn’t as ordered. Was told they had no soups or sides made today except for the smelly house salad.

Ordered some of the fried chicken from the taste of the south menu. Was left with my old fork and napkin situation and ignored for about 30min. Sad story from the only spot of its kind in town. (AKC standard?)

Unfortunately, it's not my cup of tea. My sincere apologies because I'm not sure if that was the owner or mgr or whom, but he was so kind & it $!(#$ leaving reviews like this. But just know it's prob JUST my taste buds. It wasnt my kind. Coming from up north surrended by all spanish food, my likings is diff. The steak was wayyyy too chewy. Every bite i couldnt even swalow i just chewed as much as possible then had to spit it out. Thats how chewy the steak was. It wasnt tender at all. Flavor was blah. Rice and beans seemed more onthe sweeter than savory salty side. Beans were so dry too. Asked for my garlic areoli sauce to give it some kind of better flavor and tenderness. Ehhhh. Again not my liking at all. Then to pay $56!!! Smh. I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for him to come back to table because i was ready to try a dessert hoping thatll be ok but he never came. I asked 2 other waiters for him and then just ent to front cashier to check out & leave. Food looked great tho.

INCREDIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE I dined at Fuego Mundo yesterday and had such a unique experience that I feel like I need to tell the world. Kosher in outta town cities....it's not uncommon to find the service or quality is lacking. Not here. I was seated on a busy Sunday evening almost immediately (an hour early for my reservation) and was promptly brought a menu. After being served drinks, we placed our orders. The soup hit our table almost immediately and before I got to the bottom of the bowl, the salads and mains were already on the table. I couldn't believe what was happening. Are you sure this is my order? "Yes", I was told. Unreal. And everything we ordered was delicious as well. Even the split pea soup was "whoa". What I found interesting is that the owner of the restaurant was activley working the counter, serving and hands-on leading his team. Maybe that's the secret to the success? 5 Stars across the board. Can't wait to return. TLDR: Fuego Mundo is a hidden gem. Try it.

Every time I am in Atlanta I come here for a meal. The staff is super friendly and the menu has a good amount of offerings for all dietary needs. Recently I have been getting their daily specials which is totally worth it and I wish some of these items made their way into the menu. If not, I hope they continue to have them since I’ve been really happy with the flavor, price, and amount of food each time. The restaurant is usually very busy at dinner time but even with a little wait it is totally worth it. One of the downsides to my experiences which I will say I have seen improvement on, is the way new team members are trained and brought on. It feels more of a trial and error and everyone gets tossed into the fire as opposed to a slow learning and assisting method, which is totally fine if understaffed and no ability to take time to slowly teach. It hasn’t been bad experiences, just learning ones. They also offer kosher food and vegetarian options in Terminal A at the airport in 2 of the Boars Head Fridge stands. I look forward to getting a meal here every time I am in Atlanta. I look forward to what Fuego does next.

Google
Exceptional eatery with a great menu and first rate service. As a Christian that keeps a Leviticus Diet, this place is such a welcome sight. My wife and I were treated like family and the team was genuinely glad we were there. The owner was very kind to us. Kosher, no dairy, family atmosphere and perfectly prepared food, we will be back again and again. Order the Hummus! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Fast service too! Will be coming back to bring my son. Menu has so many options to choose from.

Yelp
Me and this coupon book!!! It has taken me to some great finds. Only thing about this visit is although I came for lunch I could not order from the lunch menu with the coupon book. There's a place on the coupon to indicate dinner only...it did not say that. That and the way I was handed my food is the reason I took one star off. The food itself is tasty...it is kinda on the higher side but it's probably due to the quality of food. I got the salmon burger and a hot dog for my son. The hot dog with fries was $9...bc of the coupon it came off so it was definitely worth the price. The salmon burger was very tasty. They advertise gluten free. I'm not sure if that's the standard or you have to ask for it. If the bread we each got was gluten free I need to find out where they get their bread from bc it was good. I also love that they are dairy free. My salad had a delicious creamy dressing so knowing that was dairy free was good. I would probably return during lunch to try their other options. I would do dinner if they are in the coupon book next year.

Yelp
High end prices, without the experience to match. Came in late, and I expected more of a fast casual Mexican fare. That's on me, I suppose. Prices are pretty high, up to 62 dollars for a NY strip steak. I ordered the Chicken Cigars and the Chicken Breast plate with Beans and Rice, Roasted Cauliflower, and Chimichurri Sauce. The Chicken Cigars were terrible. Dry, crumbly ground chicken with little inherent flavor. The portion size is abysmal as well, costing 8 dollars for what amounts to a bad quality chicken spring roll. I'd much rather have a $2 chicken egg roll from a Chinese restaurant than this. The Chicken platter was way better. The meat was pounded flat, but seared nicely and was a 4 ounce or so portion. The rice and beans were good, and the Roasted Cauliflower was actively excellent. Overall, I don't think Fuego Mundo is really worth your $. While the chicken plate was good, at 26 bucks it was pretty steep. This is a nice date night priced establishment and I'm unsure if they meet that bar for quality or ambiance.

Yelp
Tasty. This location is very good. I enjoyed my meal and the servers had good vibes. I stepped into this location after a bad experience in a establishment next door. I tried their veggie burger and yuca fries and it was really good. Check this place out when you have the opportunity. Live, love and laugh -Sha

Yelp
Fantastic service. Seated us without a reservation Chicken flatbread with mango sauce with a touch of hot was great. The steak skewers with roasted veges were super tasty and tender. An important note is the honesty there. Not that I ever doubted however I left my ring at the washing station. Yes I should have left it at my table. I did not realize I forgot it until they closed. When I called to inquire this morning it was waiting for me.

Yelp
Had a decent meal here. The restaurant closes early on Friday's and is not open at all on Saturday's. It's in a plaza with several other restaurants and businesses so that made parking a bit hard to find. Wanted to try this restaurant for a while as the cuisine seemed different. There were a couple of vegetarian/vegan options. Wasn't too impressed by what I ordered which was the quinoa salad and hummus as a side. I would go back again to try other items from their menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is like a mix of fast food and regular restaurant. They have waiters that come and take your order but it also looks like you can place an order at the counter. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well as 2 exits; One facing the parking garage and the other facing the other side of the street where the entrances for the other restaurants face.

Yelp
Bad service and dry food Don't go there and cook at home trust me . Over priced and they are terrible.

Yelp
This was a nice spot at The Paseo to do a late lunch. Kept it light with veggies platters. The Roasted Cauliflower was definitely the standout and it was seasoned very well. Also enjoyed the tea/Colombian coffee selection.

Yelp
New to the area and have been trying restaurants that offer a gluten free menu. Recommend this place gluten free or not. Servers are friendly and attentive.

Yelp
This spot is amazing, the food is really good and tasty. The people are very friendly, this is definitely a good spot for a date and some drinks. This can be on the pricey side of thanks. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Yelp
Awful experience.... placed online order earlier in day for pick up at 5:10p. Arrived at 5:10p but did not get food until 5:45p. It was curbside pickup and it was Mother's Day. While it's not acceptable I can almost accept the fact that with this day and probably they took more orders than they can fill. The food was directly put into the trunk of the car. I got home to find out one of the 6 meals was missing. They did refund the amount quickly after calling. The reason for two stars was the food is very expensive for what you get. It was mediocre at best thigh. Ordered the 10 piece wing appetizer and they forgot to put the flavoring on the wings so they were dry. The wings were not much bigger than toothpicks. See pictures. I would not go back. I have included picture from the menu and then what I really got.

Yelp
Tge food is yummy. Plated is Rib Eye Steak with the Trio (rice, black beans and sweet plantains). The yucca fries and chicken empandanas are great sides.

Yelp
Great burger and cauliflower. Service is amazing too. I highly recommend this place. It is delicious.

Yelp
I've been here twice. First time, I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a rough day for me so any sort of home clocked Hispanic meal was going to make my day. It definitely didn't disappointed. I enjoyed every last bite with my eyes closed to savor each bite! Lol. I hate the Uruguay steak with Latin sides. A must have. The only thing I would love to see here is them adding Latin drinks such as Guaraná. Maybe one day.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Wednesday around 12. We were seated pretty quickly. They have a special lunch menu with burgers, hot dogs, tacos etc. the menu is a little long and has a lot of options, which was a little bit overwhelming. We ordered the chicken empanadas, the yucca bread and the steak tacos. The chicken empanadas were good but they were missing some sauce. The yucca bread was great, it was a small portion though. The steak tacos were good, however the plate was $15 and it came with 2 tacos and 2 sides. I think $15 was a little overpriced for the lunch menu. I wish it came with some guac or extra salsa, I didnt like the salsa that it came with. The plantains were alright, I love plantains but these were not my favorite. Overall the food was good and the waitress was nice. Overall It's a good place for a quick lunch, the service is good and the food is good too!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Fuego for quite some time now. Both "south American" and "Wood-fire grill" just sounded so warm and welcoming.. The reality hit hard.. Came here on a Thursday evening and only two other tables were taken. The place is very brightly lit, giving you a cafeteria feel. Our server Milo was sort of patronizing and budget conscious (??). He kept saying things like "if it's in your budget" and "a little pricey".. Seriously?? I can make that decision for myself. Most of the apps are fried so I skipped it. The crab stir fry sounded good until it was described as "pieces of crab mixed with noodles"? What are noodles doing there? The menu reads: Grilled "Crab" Stir Fry - Unique & delicious thinly sliced grilled crab (made from 3 varieties of wild caught fish), served over bed of organic quinoa & field greens salad. They forgot to include the random noodles, apparently.. Next, I asked what was in their veggie burger, to which the waiter had no reply other than "I'll check with the kitchen". You'd think for a place that caters to vegetarians he'd be able to handle that question by himself. Nope. Their lamb chops are an outrageous $59 entree (I don't care much about kosher but man, that is just wrong!) for two pieces! I then asked for a recommendation and Milo said that I should get one of their most popular dishes - dark meat chicken parillada. Honestly, I don't EVER order chicken when I go out. In fact, last time I had chicken in general was about two years ago (go ahead, judge me lol). Fine, if that's one of the most popular entrees, then I'm going to give it a whirl. The dish comes with two sides. Pics on yelp have this good looking corn but none if it is available in reality. Their plantains are deep fried (travesty!! These should be either pan fried or grilled) so I went with house salad and quinoa. The parillada menu description: Extremely moist & tender, skinless & boneless dark meat filets. In reality - a pile of dry chicken. The sides were good but I didn't come here for the sides. Overall: nothing warm or welcoming about this latin grill; a patronizing waiter who is unable to handle the most basic menu questions, beer and wine only. I'd never go back

Yelp
Good service, awful food. I used to eat in this place years ago. Delicious food, true Latin food. Now I came back from abroad. I ordered some kind of sausage with the "Latin trio" side (bean, rice and sweet plantains). Sausage was in a bed of grease, bean were sooo dry like from 4 days ago, sweet plantains were burnt. Yuca fries were good though. On top of it, this place is advertised as true Latin food. On the menu there is a bunch of Mediterranean stuff and even sushi...lol. Great place, to waste your money. What happened ???? ‍

Yelp
I ate here with a large group and actually got to taste a little bit of everything, so, I can confidently say that it was all great! The yucca fries were my favorite. Also, this is a Kosher, dairy-free kitchen.

Yelp
My happy place. One of my favorite restaurants in THE WORLD!! The steak is amazing. The plantains are awesome. The staff are friendly and the ambience is nice! Check this place out!

Yelp
Came to this location with my coworkers for a team dinner. My teams Manager is Kosher and this is one of the only restaurants in the area that caters to this need. My team has been here at least 3 times so far and each time the food has been consistent in quality and flavor. For this trip, I got the steak with the hispanic sides which comes with black beans, rice and plantains. The steak was a bit fatty, but flavorful. The sides have been pretty amazing so far and i'm a big fan of plantains being brought up in a hispanic household. Pros: Kosher Diverse choice in options ranging from steaks to sandwiches and more. Very well seasoned/flavors Good Alcoholic Drink Options Cons: Loud atmosphere Seating is very cramped, servers have to squeeze in areas. Limited drink options for No Sugar options. Overall, it's a pleasant restaurant for a group and lots of kosher options and their coffee is great and a good wind down from a great meal afterwards. Wish the place was larger and maybe had a outdoor patio and sometimes service can be a little slow, especially when waiting on deserts.

Anthony S.

Yelp
Overpriced, tiny portions, average food. We had our 2nd horrible experiences getting to go orders in as many visits. No more!

Yelp
I came in for a small bite and the service and food blew my mind! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Recently I've been trying to eat more healthy by going with vegan options when eating out, so I decided to try this place since the menu looked pretty vegan friendly. However, once trying the food out, I was disappointed. I got the tofu steak with black beans and cucumber salad. Plus my fiance and I split an appetizer of hummus. The hummus was great! The pita was soft and fluffy and the silky texture of the hummus complimented it nicely. They also included some fresh, crunchy dill pickles. After the great app, I was ready for a delicious meal, but hesitated when presented with my tofu steak. It plated in a rectangle shape and looked like it came straight from a package. Hoping that the looks of the dish were deceiving, I cut off a piece with my fork and dipped it in the side of sauce it came with. Unfortunately it was quite bland and lackluster - the outside tasted like it had been nicely grilled, but the inside had no flavor at all. It didn't taste like it had been marinated to any degree. The side of beans was the best part of the dish, but still weren't overly impressive, and the cucumber salad just tasted like cucumbers drenced in vinegar. Overall, the dish was worth way less than the $15 they charged for it. Service was mediocre. The restaurant was on the crowded side when we went, so the waitress was busy attending to the larger parties. I ran out of water and did not receive a refill before leaving the restaurant. Since we were a party of two, we were sat at the smaller table by the entrance which was not a great place to enjoy a meal. People kept standing around our table, waiting to be seated, and the waitresses/waiters would stand near the same area. I felt rather crowded like I was sharing the meal with everyone at the restaurant.

Yelp
When you first walk into this establishment you can't help but to enjoy the delicious Aroma's. It smells soo good in there. I haven't eaten meat in almost 3-4 yrs but this place sort of smells like delicious barbecue :) One thing I notice is that this location isn't that big and it seems to bring on bigger crowds so seating can be limited at times but if you call ahead you should be ok. This place is very vegan, vegetarian, Pescatarian and kosher friendly. That made me pretty excited when I first looked at the menu. Initially I wanted to order the tofu steak but there were so many great options on the menu I finally settled for the Tilipia burger with salsa and chips. We also ordered yucca fries as a appetizer because they were so raved about. I wasn't overly impressed with the yucca fries but they are ok as long as you are equipped with enough sauce to dip them in. The yucca fries had a lingering starchy taste.. That's all I can think of when I ate them but I was hungry! Once I finally got my food I was pretty excited because boy was I hungry! The plantain chips were delicious and the Tilipia burger was divine. I was impressed with the flavor of my choices and so was my dining partner. He loved his Steak! Our seating was a bit oddly placed but we quickly got over it. Overall the food was great and the service isn't bad. Mostly everyone we encountered were genuinely sweet. It was a pretty cool experience and I will be going back again to check out more of their menu items.

Yelp
I like the food here and there are plenty of options. Anything from hamburgers to fried plantains. The prices are too high and the portions don't leave room for taking any leftovers home. It's good, not great. I'll eat here but only if there is a team lunch or someone suggests/prefers it.

Yelp
I've been to the Prado plaza a few times...but never really had a chance to check out some of the more obscure restaurant venues. FuegoMundo happened to be among the top foursquare lunch recommendations in my area (for what that's worth), so I went with a colleague to try it out. We arrived right around high noon; the restaurant was almost empty. Our order was quite simple...a veggie burger and ribeye steak with black bean soup and fries. But they did a fantastic job with it. We both acknowledged that the food was delicious and that we'd go back. Note that it's a bit pricier than usual (given the kosher requirements, etc.), but in our view, we got what we paid for.

Yelp
Sometimes it's all about the finish. After a rocky start, this place delivered some very solid food. The waitress initially took a while to take our drink order and the food came out at a snails pace. In fact, I was so hungry by the time the food arrived that I was contemplating eating the table. My hunger also caused me to forget to take pictures of the entrees. But in the end, it was well worth the wait! The appetizers were hot and fresh. Grilled beef sausage and pulled chicken/beef sliders. Both were quite good. The entrees also did not disappoint. My chicken skewers were delicious. Tender, juicy, and flavorful. Each order comes with two skewers and your choice of two sides. I chose the seasoned French fries and cucumber salad. They were both good choices. Keep in mind that the steaks here are grass fed. As I personally don't like the flavor of grass fed beef (I keep hoping it's a passing fad!!), I chose the chicken. But one of my friends chose the 8 ounce steak and was very happy with the decision. Even the chicken burger received high marks on taste and freshness. The owner, Udi, came by a couple of times to check on us. He was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our experience. All the food here is grilled in an open kitchen, and I enjoyed watching the chefs prepare the meal. The ambiance is nice enough, and would be suitable for a date or meeting up with friends. They have an area in the back where they can put several tables together for larger groups. This restaurant is located in the Prado off of Roswell Road There is plenty of additional parking behind the restaurant in the parking deck. In the end, a slow start gave way to a strong finish. Despite the slow and sometimes inattentive service, the food came up big and warrants a return visit.

Yelp
Called Sunday, March 15, 2020, at around 2 pm approximately and a lady answered saying they were close. She said she was the operator and I asked her ?operator? And she hanged up on me. With all respect, she was very rude. Second, if you did not want me to go to Fuego Mundo, you should have explained it is close or we closed earlier. Whoever pretended to be an operator, you need to learn to render amazing customer service. The Latina lady that answered do not do that to customers. I know who answered that is the reason I asked !operator? I am almost sure the owner was not there otherwise this would not happened. I hope customer service changes. Not good what happened.

Yelp
After seeing a review of this South American restaurant on YouTube: "Atlanta's Best Undiscovered Restaurants" and since I'm from Venezuela I thought I should give it a try. I ordered a red sangria that was perfect; not too sweet and not too sour, with pieces of fruits. You have to order their special appetizer "Yuca Bread" it melts in your mouth, is very light and is thin. I also ordered the stir-fry crab with salad, it has a very good flavor, but I will suggest adding more protein (fish) to it, this will give it the kick that it needs to be perfect. I saw in the menu that they have some plantains, black beans, rice as side dishes (this is super latin). Another important consideration is that they are a Kosher restaurant. The word "kosher," however, is Hebrew for "fit" or "appropriate" and describes the food that is suitable for a Jew to eat. With its roots in the Hebrew Bible, the system of defining which foods are kosher was developed by the rabbis of late antiquity. Its application to changing realities has been the work of subsequent generations, including our own. The server was friendly, but not too knowledgeable about the menu because she had to step back and ask another server some of my questions. Great parking space.

Yelp
Loved every bite! We will definitely be coming back:) The keep kosher and the flavors were unbelievable, 10/10

Yelp
We were just curious to try the South American grilled meat and went in for lunch. we ordered a caesar salad, Uruguayan Steak Skewer, Argentinean Churrasco and Estrella beer. The caesar salad was huge for one person, so we decided to share. The waitress brought a spare plate for us to share the salad. The steak skewer was perfectly grilled and was very good with chimichurri. The churrasco was really juicy and flavorful. The lunch was very satisfying. The service was wonderful.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I feel like I was tricked. This is NOT Latin American food! Way over priced & no flavor! I gave it a 1star because the yuca fries were decent.
google avatar

Seth R.

Yelp
The food: Always tasty and dairy free options abound. The Service: Always great. I took my girl there and she now loves this joint. The Beef Pastelitos Max is a must get. The steak is ridiculously good. The chicken skewers so very savory. The Dairy Free "Masha's Brownie ala mode" is delightful. They are kosher, so they are closed on Saturdays. Excellent for Lunch, Brunch or Dinner.
google avatar

Daniela M.

Yelp
Great customer service! Their yucas are good but the other plates are okay. This is spot to go to if you want some Latin cuisine without having to drive to Buford Hwy or Marietta. You will not leave disappointed stopping by here. We went after rush hour, around 6:40-7pm and they were on the slow side. Their service is amazing. We were sitting outside when it got cloudy and before the first rain drop fell, their team almost carried us in!

Yelp
When traveling through a new city, our family of five always hopes to find a fantastic kosher restaurant. We sometimes strike out, but today FuegoMundo knocked it out of the park :). We loved absolutely everything we ordered and we ordered a LOT - plantain chips, yucca fries, empanada, steak tacos, crispy chicken bowl, kids hot dogs and hamburgers, and great fries and sauces too! Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. So thrilled to have found this place and can't wait to return!

Timothy M.

Yelp
I just simply didn't appreciate the way I was treated. The owner is grossly overbearing and treats his employees with little to no respect. Just watch his interactions with his staff if you happen to be in the building with him. Lindsey is awesome however.

Yelp
Ate here with a party of 5 for a birthday dinner and from looking at the website this place is a lot smaller in person than it appears on the website. But don't let that put you off from heading out to this spot. The good food and intimate setting are the perfect combination for a nice laid back dinner. My party had the skirt steak (x3), Fuego Fillet (1) and the Chicken Fingers (Do kids eat anything else but this?). I think the general opinion around the table was the Skirt Steak was more tender and flavorful than the Fillet. This was a surprise since the Fillet is usually a better cut of meat. Along with the Steak we ordered some sides (the Latin: black beans, rice with plantains) and the American (grilled corn and roasted potatoes). Everything was very unique, spicy and great. Since this was a birthday dinner I wanted something different than the everyday & this truly hit the spot. Briefly talked with the owners Masha and Udi and found out this place has been open for a little over a month and I wish them all the luck in the world. I know I'll be back, Happy birthday to me :-)

Yelp
It's a hot Kosher world, people! Friendly service. Excellent South American flavors: yuca fries, wings, brisket, plantains, yellow rice, black beans, wood fired meats & more. Bring the whole mishpucha!

Yelp
Fuego Mundo is pretty darn good but pricey for what you get. I can't afford as a student to sit down every lunch break and eat for $15-20, where's the deal in that? I see lots of Jews who frequent their business. It's kosher so I understand. Pretty much if it's good for their diet I feel it's good for me too. I love love the Pastelitos and side of black beans and plantain. I get pretty full. Overall it's good but I have better experiences with food at Marlow's right next door.

Yelp
Omg I don't know where to begin. Eclectic amazing food. Every time I come the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. I'm vegan so they have amazing vegan options and it's seasoned well. Must try trust me

Abe G.

Yelp
Had another wonderful evening at Fuego. We spent a few days in Atlanta, and were lucky enough to find time to go. I never had the Yucca Fries on past visits, but will be sure to order it next time. I wish I had the recipe for the non dairy ranch dressing, it was really good. We ordered the larger rib steak and wanted it medium rare - pink but not bloody, when it came out and I saw that it was thin cut, I was sure it would be dry. Boy was I wrong, it was perfect. I am looking forward to returning in the near future.

Yelp
I am very picky with food, specially being brought up in a family restaurant, where it's located in the most beautiful countries of the work Portugal, I can say that in every bit you can feel the passion behind the chef that prepared my meal. Congrats to the best place at this moment that I have eat in Atlanta, me encanto

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in the world! Every time I talk to someone from the area I always always tell them to come to Fuego Mundo. My friend and I got the skirt steak salad and fried plantains, was so fresh it tasted like they had caught it fresh out of their own backyards! They truly know how to do Latin food right. I don't live in Georgia but I truly miss this place!

Yelp
expected more meat in that $17 skewer lunch. Yeah, 3 little chunks and one barely there. One sliver of onion between one of them, and a huge bell peeper piece.. 1 effin' skewer...Never again. For $17 you need to feed me 2 skewers with at least 4 flavorful chunks.

Yelp
I dined at FuedoMundo last evening and would highly recommend it. The service was top notch...the staff pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. I had the chicken skewers...nicely grilled..not at all overdone and remained moist. Nice wine list also. Compliments around the table for other entrees.

Yelp
Fuego Mundo saved us from our horrible dinner experience at a different restaurant. We came in late and they got us taken care of immediately and we had the most amazing empanadas and the staff was even better! 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend!!

Yelp
Closed on Saturday? Seriously? Service less than stellar and the portions are so so nothing spectacular and I say quite pricey for what you get.....

Yelp
I was attracted to the fact that this restaurant has both vegan and non-vegan options specified on the menu. This makes it a great option for me (a vegan) to go out to eat with non-vegans at a commonplace. Not only are they careful with keeping vegan/non-vegan meals separate in the kitchen prep, but they also designate gluten free options on the menu and take care to ensure no cross-contamination. Service: The service was spotty, depended on who came by. Our waitress in particular was so understanding, upbeat, and didn't seem bothered when we accidentally spilled a water. A different server, on the other hand, looked at spill, saw us scattering, and ignored it while we sat with a soaking table/food. He also wasn't sure what was inside my vegan pastelito, which always concerns me when employees don't know the menu. Food: The food was also just so-so. I really liked the amount of options available - for vegans and non-vegans alike! I ordered the Yucca Fries, Vegan Veggie Pastelitos, and the S'mores Plantains dessert. --Yucca Fries: YOU HAVE TO get this if you come here. It comes with a (non-dairy) garlic ranch that makes an already amazing dish even more irresistible. The exterior of the fries are lightly crisp with such a soft, melt-in-your-mouth interior. Very unique. --Vegan Veggie Pastelitos: To explain easiest, this is like an empanada, but with a flaky dough instead. Like a savory puff pastry. I found the exterior to be dry and didn't really enjoy this. The insides were carrots, red peppers, eggplant? (which I truthfully had a scare, thinking it was bacon), and some other vague vegetables they never quite described for me. This is a pass. --S'mores Plantains dessert: Wow okay. I don't know how to describe this except for "interesting" and you should try it. It's great! It's literally just their normal sweet plantains side item but with a vegan marshmallow topping and chocolate chips. I'm into it. Ambiance: I went with a friend and it was nice and casual. But I could also see this being a cute, nicer setting for a date. Nothing super fancy, but it's nicer than a lot of places. The music plays somewhat loud, but not to an annoyance. You can sit inside or outside as you choose. Price: Although the food was good, it's honestly not worth the cost. I paid $20 before tip...for 2 small sides and a dessert... My friend paid around the same for her 1 entrée (although, this was more food). It was great to try once, but my curiosity is content and I wouldn't return because of the cost/value balance.
