Fugazi - Review - 11th Arr. - Paris - The Infatuation

"The shared plates trend in Paris reached a fever pitch pre-pandemic, though dining has since returned to a more traditional order of entreé, plat, and dessert. But Fugazi is sticking with the idea that everything’s better small and split across the table. The menu at this friendly, bric-a-brac-filled spot changes every couple of weeks—in September, that meant the last of the tomatoes dressed with a fennel crumble and the first of the king trumpet mushrooms, sautéed and topped with crispy onion and bacon. Choose a few dishes from the chalkboard, and expect them to come out whenever they’re ready. The rock-meets-heavy-metal soundtrack is a bit questionable, but this is the kind of place that’s lively enough to drown it out." - Sara Lieberman

Nice place with a good atmosphere. The food is very tasty and well presented, with high-quality ingredients and a good selection of wines. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our server seemed more focused on drinking himself than doing his job and was unwilling to accept cash for payment. If you are travelling, you might want to pay cash, but seems not possible in this place.

Great vibe and delicious food. Really thought out meals and simple menu (mean it in the best way if you have decision fatigue) which is always a good sign everything is fresh & made in house one meat / one fish / one veggie main. Can only recommend!

Nice bistro in Paris. Mushroom and dessert I highly recommend. But they offer just seasonal menu. The wine is quite nice with reasonable price. It’s a good and cozy place to eat with friend.

The food is inspiringly delicious ! The Pumpkin is perfect as an appetizer and the lamb is one of the best lamb I’ve ever had! The lamb was nothing short of exquisite, with its tender and succulent texture melting in the mouth. The sauce was a delightful symphony of flavors, rich and savory, enhancing the natural goodness of the meat without overpowering it. Complementing the lamb were the slightly salty black broccoli and the sweet, caramelized baby carrots. Their flavors were perfectly balanced, creating a harmonious medley that was both refreshing and satisfying. The addition of petit épeautre added a delightful surprise to the dish, providing a pleasant chewiness that elevated the overall dining experience. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill in crafting a dish that was both elegant and deeply satisfying. Thanks for the waiter’s nice recommendations :))

A very cozy wine bar/restaurant serving natural wines candle-lit and brick interiors. While the ravioli lacked a little flavor, the tartare and scotch egg were the highlights. The service is quite nice and atmosphere was lively. A cool place to visit on the weekend!

This was our second visit to this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal for three persons. If you like sharing carefully crafted small plates which vary with the seasons, then I highly recommend you try Fugazi. We had a mixture of meat, vegetable and fish dishes paired with excellent wine by the glass choices - the actual wine bottle list was quite attractive as well. The service was attentive, and the dining room inside was pleasant. This time we had a table by the front window, which was lovely, but there are additional interior and exterior spaces which are inviting depending on the ambience you are seeking. Our sincere thanks to Chef George and his team.
