18 Hottest New Restaurants in Charleston, August 2024

"Find hot dogs with Bolognese, Calabrian chili Buffalo wings, and a meatball smash burger at Fugazzi. The new kitchen at Revelry Brewing puts out food from Le Farfalle chef Michael Toscano, and he’s having fun mixing up Italian flavors with American bar classics. Other mashups include a porchetta Cubano, disco fries topped with vodka sauce, and saltimbocca baby back ribs." - Erin Perkins

Food was great. Wait was a little long had to ask for a portion of the order after everyone else had already eaten. The restaurant portion should expand for was great and could be a stand alone

1st time here! Parking was tough. The upstairs was reserved for a private event, so there were no good views. Open air venue. Had to deal with some flies. It was crowded. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Most of the restaurant is outside. Very small interior. Many beers on tap and canned ciders, seltzers, etc. The food was delicious! Disco fries reminded me of poutine that we had in Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️! Ribs are great and the smashed double burger! Yum! The prices are pretty high. You can see the photos of the menu. We were here Saturday at 1:30 for lunch. It's not fancy. Definitely come as you are. I wish Fugazzi was a separate place.

1st time here for food. To be fair I was not expecting a cheesesteak like I would get from back home but more of a chopped steak with cheese. I know, just a play on words but when something is called a cheesesteak it's paints a picture in the mind of anyone that is from the north east or had a Philly from Philly. With that in mind the flavor is pretty good, not blown away but descent and the roll is very good. Now, at this price point I wasn't expecting a monstrosity of a sandwich but I was expecting a decent size. What arrived was underwhelming to say the least. I placed the peppers beside the sandwich to give reference to the size and those are your standard store bought jarred peppers, nothing big. It's more like an appetizer chopped steak rather than a meal. I get it, downtown prices, but would I repeat? No. I'll return to try other things on the menu but most likely not any of the other sandwiches.

Margherita pizza was absolutely off the chain. Perfect chewiness to the mozzarella, pesto was fresh and tasted homemade.

Love Revelry. First time having their food from Fugazzi. Had the disco fries. Wow. Get some food with your brew. You won't be disappointed!

Good vibes and nice staff seem to be the saving grace. Got served the only bad Cuban I've ever had in my life. A couple sad slices of watery ham, pickles, and a slather of mustard does not impress. Smash burger was also unimpressive, and the sour I ordered tasted like watered-down grapefruit juice. Disco fries were pretty alright, but serving a heavily sauced dish on paper was a mistake, It started dissolving into the sauce. I'd skip it for dinner or drinks with a date, but it seems a good group meeting place

View was everything, even for a local it never gets old! Food was delish! Brought the kids on a Monday for supper and the loved every second of it! Kelly was amazing and put ok CASPER + ghost busters music! So sweet and kind! Can’t wait to come back with and without our kiddos!

They changed the recipe of the cheese steak. Not happy! We drove a couple hours just for the cheese steak. Don’t get me wrong the new one is ok. But the old one is one I’d drive all the way down here just to eat and go home. If you change it back please let me know and I’ll for sure be back!!! It’s not like the one on tik tok now if anyone was wondering. 😔
