Fuji at HSP

Definitely we will repeat! We selected the Fall foliage special roll with crab, salmon, tuna… and the savor is woaa! Fantastic! It is the best sushi place close to Seaport! The food hall with the DJ is a great option for a Saturday afternoon!

Today September 16, 2024, at approximately 1:30pm at Fuji at High Street Place I ordered sushi, and I experienced two healthy doses of racism from the cashier and customer in line after me. The cashier was covertly racism with a look on his face like “you eat sushi” and from a guest who was overtly racist and completely unhinged because I asked her, “Are there straws there” and she grabbed her purse as if I was going to steal it. Fuji at High Street Place, please put straws out and label your condiments so I don’t have to ask your racist and privileged guest for a straw for my $3 San Pellegrino Orange Drink. Additionally, please make your cashiers aware that people of color eat sushi too. I will never eat at Fuji at High Street Place again. This was the worst experience of my day! I will take my sushi appetite to another welcoming location.

I’m writing this review as a regular—I go once or twice a week. You’d never think that sushi in a food hall is going to be amazing. But it is. I usually order ahead because it gets busy, and they always prepare it on time. The staff is pleasant and friendly. But let’s get to the most important part: the sushi is great! I’m really particular about the freshness of sushi, I can smell something off a mile away. But here, the quality is outstanding. The tuna is always a deep, dark red, and they even have toro tuna!! I opt for simple sashimi or basic rolls but their fancy rolls are so fun and different. Honestly, you probably won’t find better sushi takeout in the area.

One of the best poke bowls I've had in Boston. Will definitely come back to this place to try out the other dishes.

Awesome Sushi! Had eel with salmon just makes for a great combo! The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious!

Sushi is nice and fresh but if you’re starving, this is not the place. One major beef is the unfriendly and no service mind cashier. No thank you no hello no eye contact.

Amazing sushi, the Tuna Belly (Toro) and the West of Chestnut (Spicy Tuna Roll) were amazing. I got to take home a leftover bottle of Hibiki that is beautiful. Additionally, if you sit at their bar you may get a surprise from the sushi chefs. We will be back ASAP!

Fuji has always been good for sushi. This was my first time trying this location. I ordered two lunch specials on Uber eats and everything was very fresh and tasted great! When I have ordered from other locations, their lunch specials typically come with soup and/or a salad, but this one did not which I was ok with.

Work lunch. They have a handful of lunch plate options. I got the hand roll. One had eel and avocado, the other had tuna. Overall really good. There were some tuna pieces that looked sus so I had to pick them out. The nori didn't taste super fresh; some bites were hard to tear off.

I got their eel sushi! Was very good ! The workers were very nice and helpful! Will eat here again when I'm In the state !

The counter server was friendly, the sushi was fresh and High Street Place has a cool vibe to it. The prices were a bit on the high side but I'd visit again when I'm in the area.

Fuji is worth the price. The hand roll lunch was immaculate. I was so surprised by the flavor. The sashimi was so fresh. The wait was a little longer than anticipated so I would suggest ordering online before going. This will definitely be one of my new go to places for lunch.

I was looking for something to nosh on & walked around HSP to try to find something vegan, light, & not so expensive. This ended up being the best option. It was super delicious & served w/ a different type of sauce than most sushi rolls are paired with. The pieces are a decent size & sometimes hard to get in one bite. So there might be a bit of a mess you make while eating this w/ chopsticks. Eh, no biggie. Enjoy it, that's what it's for. Go for it.

Decent sushi, incredibly expensive. I got the Gourmet lunch. $24 for a very small portion. They seem to want a tip for counter service, too.

I wouldn't normally leave a bad review, but I ate here Friday night and had the worst food poisoning of my life. Got a spicy tuna roll and it's pretty obvious that tuna was not good. Truly so so bad wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I learned from the doctor when tuna goes bad it creates toxins and it's really hard to tell it's bad until you get sick. Just don't do it to yourself.

Super high quality; spicy tuna roll was on point! Will try one of the warm bowls next go round, for sure. Line wasn't too crazy shortly after noontime

A perfect lunch! I've had the "spicy roll lunch" several times and it's been delicious every time. It's 8 spicy tuna rolls and 8 spicy mango avocado rolls; a great portion size in relation to the price. They are a tad bit smaller than your average sushi roll but the flavor is still on point. If you're looking for a filling but light lunch, this is it!

I love the Fuji group in general... so I wasn't expecting anything less from here. I just got a California roll and a mango,eel, and cucumber roll. They both were well made and fresh of course, the California roll fell apart a bit but other than that it was great! It was super quick and easy to order and the workers were efficient and friendly. Nothing really else to say about this place but great sushi and can't wait to try more from the menu :)

Bought The Decadence and have food poisoning. $40 and I can't even get fresh fish. Avoid like the plague, might as well be

Taste SOOO BAD!!!! Not Fresh Sushi! Low quality grade and charge so high! Dishonest business! NOT Recommended, NOT Come in Back! If you don't want Get Sick...RUN from this place!
