The 38 Best Restaurants in New Delhi, India

"Open for: Lunch and dinner Price Range: $$ Indian Chinese or Masala Chinese in India changes as per region, and Delhi’s own “Chinjabi” or Punjabi Chinese is a fun cuisine to eat in the capital. This old-timey, banquet-style restaurant in one of Delhi’s most upscale neighbourhoods is a good bet if you find yourself in these parts. Get the crispy lamb, egg fried rice, and dim sum, or trusted Indian Chinese favorites like chile chicken or American chop suey.   Know before you go: Fujiya usually has a well-stocked bar, too." - Sharanya Deepak

A nice old restaurant with authentic Chinese food serving both veg and non veg. It’s on Malcha Marg or Malcha Marg market. Nice quiet ambience. We ordered for Chinese choupsey with Manchurian. This choupsey isn’t sweet and had good amount of veggies. Then the Manchurian was good too. Big sized Manchurian balls and decent quantity. Service was good. They are not on Dineout.

It rarely happens that you like a restaurant for its excellent food and still you have not visited the place for so many years. The food is delicious from soup to starters and the main course you just can't say this dish can be better. The quantity was good and the prices are reasonable. The location is easy to reach one of the best areas of delhi good crowd . From now i am going to be regular I have deducted 1 star as they take a long time to serve main course so my suggestion you order you main course with starters.

Fujiya Restaurant in Malcha Market was a bit of a letdown. The crispy rice soup was overly thick and tasted like straight-up cornflour, which was disappointing. The dimsums and pad Thai noodles were average at best, nothing special. Given the restaurant’s high rating, the food quality didn’t live up to expectations. It’s surprising to find such mediocre dishes at a place with such a good reputation.

Headed over to a childhood favourite that I have been frequenting for over 40 years. As I have lived out of India until a few years ago I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the resturant for an extended period. However, on my recent visit I was delighted to discover that Fujiya has been refurbished, is very well maintained and still retains it's old school charm. The items we ordered were for the most part hits -> Appetizers: Excellent Vegetables in Salt and Pepper, Divine Crispy Chicken Drumsticks, Chicken Dumplings were average and the item that most underwhelmed among the appetizers. For the mains we ordered Crispy Shredded Lamb (Excellent though a tad less crispy than I would have prefered), Tofu and Aubergine tossed in Black Bean Sauce (Excellent - I haven't had this combo prior), Accompanying the same we had Chilly Garlic Noodles. Portions were very generous and our group of 3 were unable to finish of the food on order. Fujiya along with Golden Dragon are two Delhi stalwart restaurants that have thrived over the decades / and are evergreen due to their reliable quality Delhi Punjabi Chinese :) Looking forward to my next visit :)

Food is colourfull but taste was too bad. We can count tasty dishes on fingers. Fried rice taste was disaster, I ever tasted like it before. Some starters were ok. Overall taste was not satisfactory.

Food used to be amazing, sadly quality and taste has nose dived. We ordered the Miso soup- it was too salty and the chef added capsicum and some rice grains were at the bottom of the bowl🤷🏻‍♂️. The King pao chicken had too much pepper and was only chilly lacking any taste of the dish. The chicken drumsticks too lacked freshness and taste. Overall not a good experience specially dining since so many years. The saving grace was the chicken dim sum and their veg noodles. Staff overall is good and courteous. Interiors hasn’t changed in all these years too so give the nostalgic vibes.

Food is good, but waiters shouldn't be standing around you when the restaurant is not fully accoupied.

Good food, have maintained the taste since forever I have been going there. Service, on the other hand, is just okay. When someone takes my order, I like them to have a smile on the face (even if they are faking it) and not make me feel like that I am making them work because I am there.
