The Cedars’ Full Circle Tavern Is Headed to Lakewood - Eater Dallas

"Full Circle Tavern, the Cedars spot for local craft beer and Italian-inspired fare, will soon open another outpost in Lakewood. The expansion will debut at 6341 La Vista Drive. The distinctive Ginger Man look will get a revamp, although owner Lara Whittington didn’t want to specify what the interiors will look like other than to say it will 'pay homage to the neighborhood' with some Lakewood-inspired mural art. 'We love Lakewood, and always felt like Lakewood was home. When we were approached [by the landlord of the property], the spot felt really right,' Whittington tells Eater. The menu dreamt up by Whittington’s wife and business partner Chef Jennifer Bonner will make its way over to the new location including her 'Italian Stallion' beef sandwich made with her family’s recipe, plus some new additions like homemade pastas and sauces. Patrons will find two dozen beers on tap, specialty cocktails, and a wine list. A kids menu will be available for the kid-friendly downstairs space, while upstairs will be an adults only playground. Expect boozy weekend brunches. Stay tuned for Full Circle’s official opening date, Whittington says they’re aiming for early 2019." - Alaena Hostetter

Life is cray sometimes but so is Full Circle Tavern food! Amazing food and great drink specials too! The fish (n'chips)were large then I expected, flaky and mist, the fired pickled okra was fantastic, oh and the meatball sandwich crazy delicious! Found a hidden gem today & the food travels well too, no soggy wet food the fried okra was crispy even after 40 minutes! Best restaurant I've been to this year!

Great outdoor patio. The bartender came out to serve us, as well as waitress. Food was good, but loved the mixed drinks. They even brought the pup his own water. Atmosphere was excellent. Would recommend, and will go back.

Very kind staff, beautiful, clean decor. We only came in for drinks and I think they are missing an opportunity to serve craft cocktails on their lovely upstairs patio. Instead it is mostly vodka drinks which are fine but not fancy. I feel like this place has a ton of missed potential. Didn't get to try the food so I can't speak to that.

If you know anything about Portillos in Chicago and their amazing beef sandwich’s, then this place is as close as it’s going to come. Seriously amazing,m. Our waitress recommended the “Italian Stallion” and it was beyond my expectations for Texas. If I would have known... I would have taken a better pic. Apologies! 5 stars through and through!

I went in at an off time - oops, staff meeting! - but Lara made me feel quite welcome. Looking forward to a return visit with my husband to nibble our way through the delectably creative menu. Brunch! Poutine! Mules!
