A Guide to the Ultimate Staycation in Portland’s Old Town-Chinatown | Eater Portland

"I made a reservation ahead of time for Lechon, a wood-fired South American restaurant down by the waterfront; in the warmly lit dining room anchored by eye-catching aquariums filled with undulating jellyfish I sat down for dishes inspired by the Patagonia region and Peru, including pastel de choclo and lomo saltado." - Janey Wong

Amazing Peruvian Cuisine with a Stunning View! We had an incredible dining experience at Full House Peruvian Cuisine in Machu Picchu. The customer service was excellent, special thanks to Zoë for taking such great care of us. The food was absolutely delicious, and having a beautiful view of the river made the experience even better. I totally recommend this place! Our total for two people was approximately $65 USD, and it was well worth it.

We had an amazing dinner at the Full House. Very friendly and attentive staff, speak good English. Our waiter was wonderful, helpful with suggestions. The food was delicious, beautifully presented. My fish platter was delicious, extra spicy on request. We also ordered a vegan aubergine dish and a beef dish rightfully called a Peruvian hug.

Lunch was fantastic. View amazing. Restaurant had a good vibe and staff very professional. Drinks were a little expensive but I guess that’s standard in Machu Picchu Pueblo?? Recommended

After exploring Machu Picchu, we came here on our guide’s recommendation—and it turned out to be the perfect spot to recharge. He insisted the alpaca dishes were the stars of the menu, so we tried the alpaca burger and chicken fried rice. The burger was surprisingly juicy and full of flavor, and the fried rice was exactly what you crave after a full morning of hiking. We also tasted our friend’s alpaca with gnocchi, which completely stole the show—tender, rich, and incredibly comforting. If you’re curious about trying alpaca, this is definitely the place to do it. Highly recommend anything featuring alpaca!

The food here was AMAZING! Best food we’ve had on our 10 day trip so far. Highly recommend anything with the beef, I got lomo saltado and it was incredible. The views are also breathtaking. Roger was our waiter and we could not have been happier with his service. He is so great!

Great location by the train tracks with spectacular river view. They serve yummy potato chips (free) and gave us an keychain (free) as well. The food was good and service friendly. The decor is modern and bright.

The food was delicious, service was great, and the ambiance is nice as we were seated by the window and we could hear and see the flow of the river. Percy showed us great service. He gave us recommendations on what to order and he also explained the dishes very well. We ordered Cuy Entero and Aji de gallina. Both tasted great!

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Cristofer was attentive and much fun. Big thank you to the Chef for carving the meat and explaining in detail about the roasted guinea pig. Ceviche could be better hence the 4 stars. Would go back again.
