Full Kee Review - Chinatown - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"During the pandemic, Full Kee became one of those if you-know-you-know spots and that’s because their dumpling soup kept people sane. Back then, people took their order to go, but now it’s best to dine in and eat your meal right away. That way, you can enjoy the plump shrimp dumplings when they’re warm and slurp noodles that have been tenderized by the broth. The restaurant itself is bigger than it looks, with downstairs seating that’ll accommodate large groups of people around geometric wooden tables. The floors here are sticky and so are the menus, both signs that the food is worthwhile. " - Omnia Saed

Google
Wanted Chinese food and picked this restaurant for location and reviews. Was cautiously optimistic. I got the beef and vegetable with pan fried noodles, a dish I have eaten for decades in New York.... their versus was authentic and exactly what I hoped for. There was a lot of beef and vegetables. Delicious! Will be back next time I am in town.

Google
The services was very good the person was really nice. The food was good other than the chicken feet (not fresh) but most of it was pretty fire. The price is a little steep but other than that I enjoyed it. The restaurant its self seems a bit old but it was really clean. Would come back again.

Google
A fantastic Cantonese restaurant! Every dish we ordered was excellent. The roast duck was authentic and flavorful, the eggplant clay pot was rich and well-seasoned, the braised beef brisket was tender, and the pea shoots were incredibly fresh. Highly recommend this place!

Google
The only place you can find dim-sum in Richmond, it’s quite expensive though. I had pork bao, black bean spare ribs and shrimp rice noodle crepe. They were all good!

Google
We wanted diem sum on our visit to Richmond, and our son found Full Kee, an authentic Chinese diem sum restaurant. I ordered our dishes in Cantonese, and they had all our favorite dishes, including siu mei, cheng fun, ha gow, shrimp balls, roast pork, pork ribs, and baked cha siu buns. The food was very tasty, and there were good vegetarian options, including turnip cakes, gai lan Chinese broccoli, bok choy and garlic, seaweed salad, coconut jello and sesame seed balls. We'll have to return to try their regular Cantonese dinner menu. The service was quick (food was on carts), the restaurant was clean, and it had an older restaurant family-friendly vibe.

Google
Atmosphere typical of a tim sum place. Food has no flavor. Totally no value for the money.

Google
Ful Kee Chinese Restaurant is a favorite of ours — the food is always great. They have an excellent selection of dim sum, the duck is delicious, and their vegetarian dishes, like the Chinese greens, are excellent too. The space is a bit dated and could use some renovation, but we keep going back for the quality of the food. If you’re looking for a nice atmosphere and excellent service, this is not the place for you — but if you want good, authentic Chinese food, this is where you should go.

Google
Good Cantonese food. The seafood is fresh and the duck juicy. Just pay no mind to the furniture that has seen better days and the lazy Susan that is difficult to turn, and just enjoy the food. The portion sizes justify the prices.

Yelp
Most authentic Chinese food in Richmond, coming from a Richmond born native. My family has brought me here ever since I was a child that it's essentially ritual and it's never missed. Please try the Peking Duck, we get it every time. Ambience of the restaurant has a nostalgic untouched Chinese hidden gem look. Support this family that has run this business for decades!

Yelp
I've heard Full Kee is the best dim sum place in Richmond when I first moved here 2.5 years ago. And today I finally tried it. It's all true! Best, authentic Cantonese dim sum in Richmond. Weekends are the only time they do push carts but that's how I like it because you get to see what they look like before committing. Each basket is typically 3-4 pieces and the prices range from $5-6. The bigger dishes are even more. Because it's easy to go overboard when you want to try a piece of everything, it's best to have a bigger group. We had 6 and we averaged $35 per person (including tips). We think it's a great outing especially after running the 10k. This is a no fuzz place and it gets very busy on weekends. It's not realistic to expect high level service as there are simply not that many hands. I just walk to someone and ask for help politely. Make it convenient for them to help you, you in turn help yourself. My only complaint is everything was too salty. Hahah everything is always too salty for me.

Yelp
Great Dim sum. It's all I can recommend. It's all we ordered. Great prices! Fed five of us and three growing boys who can eat and eat for $85 dollars which isn't bad in my opinion. We drive from Newport News to eat here. My boys love it and so do I. Its an old school Asian restaurant. Could be a little cleaner, but service is good and the staff is attentive. Refills plenty. The decor is minimal. The lazy susan tables are fun! We will continue to drive the hour and ten minutes once a month to enjoy a Dim Sum brunch to leave us full Day, it's literally the only meal We eat on those Sundays!

Yelp
My son and I stopped by to attempt to grab lunch while running errands. It happened to be close to where we were with decent reviews. When we entered we waited and an individual who came in behind us was seated promptly. We waited a little longer and I asked for a table. We were seated off to the side given menus and a pen. No words were ever spoken by the staff. Then we waited some more and left. If I could have given no stars I would have.

Yelp
Still a solid four, but wanted to add some pics from my most recent visit for a quick lunch.

Yelp
This is a legit Cantonese restaurant offering dim sum and traditional dishes. No other place like this for a long distance. Stop by if you're in the hood.

Yelp
Walking into the restaurant is a little bit like walking into the past, seeing what a Chinese restaurant used to be like, but seldom is nowadays. Large tanks holding fresh crabs and lobsters, heated displays of hanging roast duck and pork set the tone. The place looks like it has been here for a while, and perhaps could use a deep cleaning or carpet replacement, but in a way that just feels more authentic. A nice touch that has been missing in most places recently, they provide complimentary tea! Food was great; we had beef and Chinese broccoli chow foon - very tasty with nice sauce. Not at all spicy, but flavorful (normally a fairly bland dish, but tables all provided with Sambal Olek and soy sauce). Other dish was roast pork & noodle soup. Good, but was expecting thicker Chinese noodles and received thin rice noodles. Good though. Only negative was we wanted roast duck and they were out. Also heard another table asking for shrimp dumplings and they were out of those also.

Yelp
TLDR: Best Peking duck in Richmond, call ahead and order even if you want to dine-in. Third time's the charm. I've been trying to get their Peking duck for a while now. We tried once on Xmas (which was my fault) and it was too packed to even eat there. Another time was lunch time on a weekend, it was packed and we only successfully ordered dim sum. We thought we put in an order for peking duck, but we never saw our waiter again and were told that we hadn't ordered it an hour later. This recent visit we went on a week night and it was pretty empty. We learned that it takes a while to make Peking duck so you need to either call ahead or be willing to wait a little. It was so worth the wait. I missed crispy and juicy Peking duck with amazing plum sauce and pancakes. I found it at Full Kee Restaurant. This is an authentic spot with great dim sum, but even better duck. I once came across a TikTok that said the most authentic and delicious Asian spots have 3.5 stars on Yelp, this is true in this case. The service can be slow, but the food is totally worth it. There is a lot of seating inside and it's great for big groups. ICYMI, I highly recommend coming here and ordering the Peking duck.

Yelp
We started with the crispy shrimp rolls. Very good. But also very hot. Our meal was very good. The general Tao's chicken was extra spicy this time. A bit more spicy than I can handle. And shrimp and shark fin dumplings, steamed pork buns, as well as a seafood combination with fried tofu. Our meal was excellent. I'm full but there is always room for dessert. Prior to bringing the dessert asked if we wanted whipped cream. We said no. Dessert was excellent l

Yelp
Full Kee is an old school Chinese restaurant with a big following for takeout. The restaurant doesn't have a menu, so if you want to order takeout you'll have to swing by and get a menu or find pictures of it online. The web link on their Facebook page is for Full Kee in DC. The food is fresh and orders are ready quickly. We love their soups, fried dumplings, and classic Chinese (American) dishes. The sirloin with asparagus and the pork with black bean sauce are our favorites.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese restaurant complete with gratis tea. Clean though don't look too closely. Typical of what we Asians we grew up with when dining out with our friends and family. Amazing food and flavors. We shared beef with Chinese broccoli chow foon (flat noodles) and though Hubby wanted duck they were all out by 7:30 pm. So he got the Hong Kong Roasted Pork noodle soup. All so delicious!

Yelp
Tasty and fine service. Lunch selections are reasonably priced. Food is fresh. All good.

Yelp
Two solid visits and Full Kee will be a staple during my trips to Richmond. It is the only dim sum I could find in RVA. Service and staff are attentive, kind, polite, and super grateful for customers; at least that was the vibe I felt. I was blown away with the flavors of the dim sum dishes during my first visit that I ended up coming back on a weekend to bring my daughter and her friends. On the weekends, Full Kee has dim sum carts from 11AM-3PM. There was surprisingly no wait when we arrived at 12noon on a Saturday. All of us throughly enjoyed the entire meal and experience. Some of the selections we enjoyed: Stuffed Eggplant, Shanghai Dumplings, Fried Bean Sheet w/ shrimp aka Shrimp wrapped in Tofu Skin, Steamed Shrimp & Chive Dumplings, chicken feet, steamed spareribs, Hot & Sour Soup, and Chrysanthemum Tea! While all of the dishes were delicious, the Steamed Shrimp & Chive Dumplings deserve an honorable mention. They were the perfect size at around 2in in diameter and steamed to perfection. They tasted so fresh and hot as the skin was glistening, soft, & snugly sealed the delicious shrimp and chive filling. Restrooms: there is only one stall in women's restroom so be prepared to wait on a busy day. May want to bring air freshener too. If you're in the Richmond area craving dim sum, check them out!

Yelp
The slow, unorganized service was infuriating to say the least. The host/busboy took us to our table quickly, but then we had to wait for a long time and had to catch his attention before he asked a waitress to come take our order. There were only a couple carts, rarely being pushed around. The bbq pork buns were cold and had a stale taste. The egg tarts were tasty - I liked the flavor of the custard. The shrimp cheung fun was one of my favorites - the shrimp to roll ratio was great! I really loved the general tso's chicken - the sauce was yummy and the chicken was crispy yet moist. I dont recommend this place for dim sum, but the a la carte menu had delicious options like general tso's chicken and beef chow foon. I didn't like the ambiance, so would only order take out if I was ever in the area again.

Yelp
Service is slow. Come at 11am or 12:30pm, not in between and expect to stand in line. We arrived at 11am and doors opened at 11:10 and we waited for another 10-15 to get seated. No sense of urgency, so enjoy your brunch with a side of patience. Carts and selection is limited. The baked fare comes around first - grab dessert for later and wait for your main course. Ordering from the menu is one way to get food quicker and hot. Most of the cart food was a lot of bread with little substance. Bathrooms were ok for first opening. No soap.

Yelp
We have lunch at Full Kee Restaurant 2 weeks ago and the food is good but the place is so old

Stanton-Johnn L.

Yelp
It's Sunday morning, was very excited to go out for dim sum....disappointed!!!!!. First we were ignored after being seated. Tried to ask about what was on the cart, were made to feel like we were bothering her. Finally got one dish each. Then 20 min wait and could not get what we wanted! I understand there's a language problem. We did not even get menu!!! Feeling bad for the the low mark but the service was not good

Landon S.

Yelp
The food comes very slow, eating here we haven't ate much because of the slow carts, would not recommend unless your very patient

Yelp
I'm a little spoiled by North East dim sum and those were the only dishes I ate here. This place is just alright. I came here for midweek lunch so I know it's not the authentic fresh cart experience. Some dishes were pretty solid like the spare ribs, beef tripe, and shrimp dumpling (har gow). Some were just okay (shrimp crepe/cheung fun). But overall for the area, I expected as much. The service was quite slow despite it being a mostly empty restaurant. To be fair there were only two people working the whole front of house. I probably would have gotten better service if I spoke Cantonese. Both servers spoke it and so did some patrons. At least it's true dim sum in that sense. It's a small mom and pop operation that could use a bit of updating. But if you're a true Chinese restaurant aficionado, the ambiance is typical. What I mean by that is... questionable cleanliness standards for anything that doesn't touch your food. I'd probably come here again if I'm craving dim sum but maybe on the weekend.

Yelp
Delicious food, excellent service, and very clean restaurant. I felt very safe eating here. All of the employees wear masks and gloves. Spacious restaurant and tables are spaced out for privacy. Our group ordered the Peking duck, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the pieces cut to perfect sizes. I loved the Soyed Chicken. Very tender and delicious. I enjoyed the hot and sour soup, as well as the dumplings. I also liked the vegetables. We had the spinach and bok choy. I appreciated the lazy susan on our table, so we could all rotate it to access the various dishes and sides. Lovely decor, pristine restrooms, and a parking lot.
google avatar

Menghai T.

Yelp
I went here for father day and it was quite busy. I waited about an hour to get seated for the Dim Sum cart. Food cart was good, but there were only two carts rotating at a time. Carts came around to each table in roughly five minutes. The price per portion was a little high. It was roughly ~100 total for three people. Staff was very nice, but service was a little slow due to it being quite busy. This is the only dim sum place to my knowledge in the Richmond area. I will come back here for special occasions.

Yelp
The dim sum dumplings and pork shake were delicious! I was disappointed they ran out of duck. The friend rice and lime in were delicious!

Yelp
Authentic cantonese with the duck hanging from the window and charsui pork.. reminds me of Chinatown. This place may look small but their food is fit for a family or even a large group of 16. The decor is outdated, it's not a whole in the wall but it's like any traditional chinese restaurant. We wanted some dim sum but this place doesn't serve it all day. When we came it was over at 3pm. So we went for our usual favorite.. This would be our top pick of the restaurant. We had the Hong Kong style combination pan fried noodle. I was ecstatic because I love the crunch and the mixture of sauce blended with the thinly crisp egg noodle. The sauce was a winner and complimented with the perfectly cooked scallops, squid, chicken, shrimp, pork and veggies in the dish. The fried rice was good, we've had better but it was cooked just right. The bean curd with shrimp mousse with some black bean sauce was my second winning choice. We were bummed they ran out of the eggplant with shrimp mousse, but i could only imagine how great it would've tasted. We had a other dishes like the general tso. It was next to being amazingly good. My kids considered there general tso their favorite and I wouldn't object. All there food tasted great.. the szechuan beef was ok..but not spicy at all like I would assume. The general tso came out crispy even with the sauce, and not soggy like ive had in some other restaurants. For Henrico, Va this place is the best chinese spot to visit. They give attentive service here. Just wish I could've experienced their dim sum and eggplant mousse. ill be ordering their Hong kong style pan fried noodles again and again.

Yelp
If you're looking for fancy, this place is not it. But if you're looking for authentic, this place is it! It's always a good sign when you see duck hanging in the restaurant. It's a clue that the food here is authentic. When I looked over the menu, I was very impressed with the options especially the dim sum options. Unfortunately, not all the dim sum dishes are available during the week. One of those dishes was the egg custard. I was really looking forward to them but was told they would be available on the weekend. I ended up with the siu mai, turnip cake, and fried taro dumplings. These are are your typical dim sum dishes. I also ordered the seafood chow fun and beef with snow peas. The seafood chow fun was pretty good. There was just enough sauce to go with the noodles. The seafood consisted of fish balls, shrimp, and scallops along with chinese veggies, carrots, and mushroom. I wanted to give this place a slightly higher rating but there were a few things that didn't happen. They do not have online ordering. I could have called but I went straight to the restaurant. I was told it would take half an hour so I went to get gas for the car and stopped off at a drug store to pick up an item. It was exactly 30 minutes when I returned. The order was still not ready. I waited another 10 minutes for a total of 40 minutes for an order. They use styrofoam containers which cannot be recycled. Covid precautions: Staff wore masks and gloves. Parking: Sufficient.

Marc V.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful experience here! The quarter duck and dumplings were wonderful apps. We also tried the egg drop a bit and sour soup which were a hit with everyone. The general Tso's chicken and veggie fried rice were so tasty! The brisket was also pretty good, but a bit fattier than we'd have liked. The interior was cozy and the server was super kind and attentive. We'll definitely be back and have serious regrets about not visiting sooner!

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant my entire life. My family and I love this restaurant! We are Chinese and Cambodian and only a few Asian restaurants in Richmond get our stamp of approval. Full Kee is by far my favorite out of all of them. The dim sum is hands down the best in Richmond. Other reviewers complain of the long wait times on a weekend morning, that is a direct result of their dim sum being the best in town! Their regular menu is great too. Our favorites are the deep fried spicy squid, deep fried spicy pork chops, beef lo mein, the Chinese broccoli sautéed with garlic...just to name a few. Their staff is extremely hard working and friendly.

Nithiwat K.

Yelp
Slow food. Waited half an hour for the first dim sum cart to show up however Shu-Mai were all gone. Waited another half an hour won't help because by the time the cart arrived at my table, all Shu-Mai were gone again. Very disappointed and the Shu Mai's cart lady was not helping either. I won't ever come back ever again.

Kathleen R.

Yelp
The food is hot and delicious every order! The service is timely and staff is always cordial!
google avatar

Connie T.

Yelp
It's practically the only place to get dim sum in Richmond. My go-to dim sum order is turnip cake, shrimp dumplings, shiu mai, shrimp rice noodle crepe, fried pork dumpling (ham sui gok), and tofu fah. You have a choice of tea - I like chrysanthemum. It's also nice that you can order dim sum off the menu if you miss the typical cart service hours. The authentic Chinese food makes up for the subpar service.
google avatar

Nick D.

Yelp
Cute spot in Richmond where there aren't many authentic asian spots to the begin with however very unimpressed by the dim sum here - the food takes forever to come out and when it does it runs out quick. The portions are quite tiny and the shrimp quality is mediocre at best. I was shocked at how long it took and how people still stood in line waiting. The inefficiency here shocked me.
google avatar

Yelp
The best peking duck i ever had!!!! Service is amazing!!! Ambiance was ok. Its old restaurant. But the food is amazing!!
google avatar

Donna T.

Yelp
The restaurant needs a good cleaning and some repairs, but the dim sum is on point. My kids have not stopped asking about going back, since we ate there. Great service, delicious food... this is one of those spots that make up for being kinda dive-y, with the quality of food.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and nice people although they are short of staff. Tried the dim sum and bbq pork and I would recommend those
google avatar

Nancy J.

Yelp
Terrible and slow we waited about 25 minutes to be served cold dumplings. We were there super early as per reviews the place gets super busy but truly I don't know why. It was bad
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
I am a big fan of dim sum. Taste of food here is just at average which I could only give 7/10. Service is good, but as short staffed, I waited about 30mins for my first dish. They served dim sum by cart in traditional way. I may recommend to friend in Richmond area who wanna try some traditional Chinese food.
google avatar

Tom I.

Yelp
Honestly, I am super surprised that this place is rated so high. It's truly not worth my time to even share the details. But I would say that the service is definitely the worst out of all the bads. They will literally have you stand there for 20 minutes without any acknowledgment, and the people that worked there look like they hated their job. Watching them gives me anxiety. I will never come back even if they are the last place to eat at on the planet. 1/5 stars for every category below: - Service - Price - Cleanliness - Atmosphere Tips: Stay Away! You've been warned.
google avatar

Rupa B.

Yelp
It is a famous, traditional Chineese restaurant which is the only restaurant serves dim sum over the week end in Richmond area according to my knowledge. You may have dim sum on weekdays with limited item. Last 26 years I am enjoying Fulkee especially dim sum and I introduced this restaurant to many friends. I took roasted duck from here for Thanksgiving 15 minutes before the the dinner started, served fresh on the dinner table. One objection I have is that they must clean up the surfaces of the containers filled with salt, papers and sauces regularly with disinfectant or soap. People are touching them with the food on their hand and they are sticky and obnoxious! I take alcohol wipes with me to wipe the surfaces and my hands frequently. Table surfaces are sticky too! Hygiene is important in serving. No. I do not have OCD.
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
I really loved all the dim sum. They were a tiny bit slow and dishes didn't come out together but it was ok because they were being made fresh and they were very good. It's not a fancy place and I had to get a different plate because my first one was a bit dirty. I also just felt like they didn't have enough people working so they moved as fast as they could- but I realize finding workers isn't easy right now. I would still go back for their dim sum anyday and their Peking duck looked amazing and I'd love to try it.

Adelle J.

Yelp
If I could write a review regarding this restaurant and not give a single star I would. I have had a few unsatisfactory experiences with Full Kee. I had an appointment in the area yesterday so I thought i would give them another try. In past experiences there was a bug in our food and when I called the man I spoke with hung up in my face. Yesterday Iwas told my two item order would be ready in 30 minutes. A hour and 10 minutes later I received my order. The sweet and sour chicken was worse than horrible and immediately thrown in the trash. The size of the overcooked beef in my combination fried rice were bite size rather than the usual small pieces of beef in that dish and mine did not have any shrimp. So will observing the atmosphere while waiting for my order I noticed there was only one server and the manager was also helping. The worse part was I noticed the man who was chopping the chickens and ducks stood to the side and literally was eating some of the pieces. He removed one of his gloves while eating and then put the same glove back onto his hand. The young man who was putting items into a fridge or something was leaning over and unfortunately the crack of his butt was exposed. So with this said I doubt I will return to Full Kee. And if this wasn't enough I called today and asked if a manager was available to the phone and the same man who hung up on my last time did the same today. Do you call any of the above good customer service or proper conduct of the staff (referencing the man eating as he was chopping food, the exposed rear end, the gray hair man who is always at the stand where you place your order yet again hanging up on me on the phone today after I said thank you very much when he told me the manager wasn't able to come to the phone)? I sure do not. And by the way I am not a teenager or even close to that age. I am a 74 year young lady and have not been treated like a lady by Full Kee.

Yelp
Bummer, I had to go and try the dim sum. This review is only for it. Did not have a good experience. One of the carts kept going to only half the restaurant seeming to mostly one table where the server would talk for a long time. It only came our way once. Also, pork buns?!? We had to order these from anserver who came to our table once and seemed annoyed we wanted them.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday morning for dim sum. I love a good dim sum but this is not it. There were two dim sum carts going around and the food was all cold- even the food that we ordered to be made in the kitchen. I felt like we were ignored by the two carts for awhile before I grabbed their attention and then they never came back to our table again. That being said, the flavor of the dumplings and shumai weren't bad. It's the only dim sum spot in Richmond so I'll go here only if I desperately need to satiate my dumpling craving, otherwise I'd wait til I drive to DC for dim sum.

Angela F.

Yelp
I came for the dim sum. I was surprised to find out it was being made as I waited. I'm used to dim sum on the steam tables sitting and waiting. I'm glad for the wait. I've been eating dim sum for over 50 years and never had a hot crispy red bean sesame ball, ever. Oh my, was it tasty! The siu mei (sorry for the misspelling) was very yummy, just like childhood. The steamed bbq buns were a bit dry for my taste but still very good. I came at 11:30. (They opened at 11.). It was already busy. The estimated wait time he gave me was longer than he expected. But I could understand. There was only one person to serve tables, take to-go orders and work the register. I figure the kitchen was probably lacking staff too.

Yelp
Don't come here for Dim-Sum. We have been here for 40 minutes and so far the first cart that came to our table was for dessert. The second cart is coming around but looks like it will be a while before the cart will gets to my table. I have never been to a dim sum restaurant this disorganized. Not to mention the annoyed attitude of the people who works here. After more than an hour, we finally got to the eat the food. Let me tell you, it is not worth it! The food was either really salty or have no flavor. What a waste of money and time.

Yelp
Just to note, my friends and I arrived for lunch right before 2 PM, so it's understandable that the food may not be the freshest. Prime dim sum time is between 11 AM and 12 PM! Overall, as we saw the cart ladies come around (there were only two!), we thought the options were pretty limited and food looked pretty old (like the made it a couple hours ago). We were given jasmine tea to complement our meal, which is a solid choice. I would prefer chrysanthemum tea, but jasmine hit the spot. The food we got and our thoughts: * Sichuan style green beans: While it was crunchy and flavorful, it was extremely cold. Seems like they made it a few hours ago and no one else wanted it. We needed more fiber in our diet, so we took it! This was $8.95 by the way, and probably not worth it. * Radish cake: It looked sad - the top layer is usually crispy, but it was just soggy looking. However, it tasted good (flavor lacking a bit). Overall, solid texture as it was soft and melted in your mouth the more you chew. We would recommend this. * Beef tripe: Extremely tasty! We got a few of these because we really enjoyed it! * Shrimp dumplings (Ha gow): Flavor wasn't bad, but extremely sticky. The wrapper stuck to the steamer when we tried to pick it up so it broke apart. * Shu mai: This was one of the better options. Flavorful, fresh, and hot when we got it so we had to order another one! * Shrimp crepe (Ha cheung): This was... interesting. I've never had cold/lukewarm ha cheung before, and we were all surprised since the server said this was just made. The crepe wasn't very smooth, more on the starchy side. The shrimp was OK but this dim sum was saved by the delicious soy sauce that complemented the ha cheung well. Overall, not a fan of cold cheung fun. * Chicken feet: Fresh, tasted amazing. We would recommend this. The feet wasn't bony and the sauce was great. * Fried egg roll with shrimp: Super good, fresh and straight from the frier. Extremely crunchy and tasty! We definitely would recommend this. * Minced pork and century egg congee ($10.95): This was on the watery/more liquid side, which was most of our party's preference for congee. The presentation and coloring of the congee was appealing and definitely stock photo worthy. However, the taste of the congee was quite starchy. The pork also has a really strange taste; when we bit into it, an unpleasant and sour taste explodes in your mouth and it is also very salty. The century old egg was OK. Overall, would not recommend this. * Sticky rice with banana leaves: The texture of the sticky rice is like mini pellets, and it is not mushy or soft. There's a bit minced pork, shrimp and lap cheong in it and it was lack luster in terms of flavor. * Seafood crispy noodles ($18.95): The texture of the crispy noodles was A+ and it mixed well with the softer noodles that was smother in thick and delicious gravy. Sadly, everything else in this dish was at most average. The mushrooms were cold and flavorless. The texture of the squid was extremely hard to chew, and it was initially pretty flavorless. However, as we continued to chew on it, the fishy taste was evident and it was clear the squid isn't fresh so we stopped eating it. The shrimp was OK. Would not recommend seafood dish here because it's not very fresh. There are hit and misses here - some dim sum were great and some were very subpar. If you're craving dim sum, this place will somewhat satisfy your cravings. The service was pretty lack luster since they didn't check on us very often.

Yelp
I was told this place had really, really good dim sum that seems to be made to order. Since I was the only person in the group who can legitimately say whether it's good or not and, be in the right to judge, I was prepared to pick apart this place. I spent my meal in mostly silence. With some content sounds. My waiter was quite nice, spoke Cantonese, Mandarin and, English. He checked up every so often and I reassured him that yes, this is all very good. You see, I'm a NYer, there's dim sum places are plentiful. But really good ones that don't make you want to drink the entire pot of tea, but is also tastes GOOD? Rare. Also, their tea is... different in an almost indiscernible way compared to what I'm used to. Shrimp Rice Noodle Crepe - the rice roll was thin, it fell apart when i tried to pick it up. It was drenched in soy sauce, so if that's not your thing, you can probably ask for soy sauce on the side. Steamed Shrimp roll - Tasty and juicy with some kick - I don't know why this was spicy to me. Steamed Shui Mai - Larger than what I'm accustomed to, very nicely moist. Steamed Spare Ribs with Black Bean - All the flavors were there and then some. Eggplant with fish paste - Slightly blander than I'm accustomed to, but would still order either way. I'd totally recommend this place if you haven't tried this place out yet.

Yelp
Gonna keep this one pretty simple. Best Asian food I have had in Central VA, bar none.

Yelp
Went here for a late lunch with my aunt and cousins. I have no clue what exactly I ate as my aunt ordered for me but everything was delicious. The atmosphere is a little run down and not updated but very delicious and the servers were very attentive.

Yelp
Lots of folks at work recommended Full Kee. I called for takeout and food was ready when I arrived. Service was quick. When I arrived at home and unpacked the food it looked good. However I was very underwhelmed. The food had no taste- I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan and dumplings. No amount of soy sauce could save the meal. Was very disappointed. Would not return.

Yelp
We only come for the dim sum. Because it's the only option for dim sum in Richmond. Having had dim sum in Flushing, NY, Durham, NC, and DC, this pales in comparison. But we are still happy we have a dim sum spot. Dim sum is really more about the companionship and gathering than it is about the food. But man is it not on the same level as other cities. Recently had lunch from the regular menu. And it was just OK. Not somewhere I would go for good authentic food. But it's also more Cantonese, which is not my region of choice for Chinese food. I MUCH prefer the authentic sichuan food at Cheng Du.

Food was authentic and tasty. I was searching for dim sum and was not disappointed! Will return again if I am in the area.
