"Located by the airport in Cascade Station, Fuller’s Burger Shack is mostly known for its burgers — and rightly so, since it’s the only entrée offered. Fortunately, burgers are the ideal companion to milkshakes, especially $4.95 milkshakes. Milkshake flavors are currently limited to chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, and strawberry; however, the peanut butter milkshake is a thick, creamy masterpiece." - Maya MacEvoy

This was a very pleasant surprise. This looked like just another burger place but decided to try it anyway. We were greeted by the owner/chef and he recommended to us the February special called the Cupid. This was an amazing burger with a new taste I had never had before -- sweet hot peppers, a fried egg, and aioli oil. The owner was very helpful and checked on us during our meal. I would definitely come here again.

Awesome food and service. Burgers were delicious and fries done right. Definitely recommend this place when you're at Cascade Station. #cascadestation #burgers

This is my favorite fast food burger place in PDX so far. I have to say better than in-n-out IMO. All ingredients are delicious, especially the bread. And they put so many pickles (the long ones!). It's a trek for me but definitely worth it.

Got the Fuller Burger and fries. The fry sauce is very good and the burger was pretty good. Ordered an extra patty but the burger only came with one. Brought that to the attention of the person who took the order and they asked for the receipt, presumably to make it right. But we didn't receive the other patty or hear anything back from them. Not sure what happened, but we had a flight to catch and couldn't wait around. Aside from that, it was a good experience. Next time I will have to try a shake; they look legit.

If you're in the area it is likely you'll smell these juicy burgers from wherever you are. The smell is too tempting to avoid. Great spot for a good burger. Nothing too fancy, they just do their burgers right. You've got options of tater tots or fries with homemade ranch. Can't go wrong. Both options are great. Will be coming back to try the milkshakes as well.

At Fuller's Burger Shack the dine in was open but you have a choice of sitting inside or out. It cost between $13-$17 for a meal depending on your purchase. The fuller burger tasted great and a good portion. The fries and strawberry shake was on point. Not much interaction with the employees other than ordering and a brief check in during departure. I ate outside. I would definitely come back while in Portland and I want a burger.

Delicious! Gluten free bun is chewy & fluffy, lettuce wrap is super generous 🍔 Fry’s are hot, crispy & salted to perfection

I’d been wanting to try this place and I saw on their IG the October burger special. Looked good so I decided to try it tonight since I had to pick up a friend from the airport. They close at 8:00pm. I knew this and my plan was to get there by 7:30 cause I know it’s a bummer feeling when you’re trying to close up and a customer shows up last min. Unfortunately I showed up tonight at 7:48pm. I was doubtful that I would get good service or even fresh food. While I wasn’t greeted initially for about a min even though they saw me, the gentleman from the kitchen said he’d be right with me. He came around about 30 sec later and thanked me for my patience. As I placed my order, he was so energetic and friendly! Took his time to explain the side sauces asked me what I liked and how I wanted my milkshake etc. and then the food. While it’s true it wasn’t life changing, it was hot, fresh, tasty and the service was fantastic. It seemed maybe he was a shift leader cause I heard him thank a female co-worker for being awesome. So the food I’m giving a 4/5 and the service 5/5. To the owner, please give praise to your night crew that worked closing 10/2. Great attitude. I’ll be back.

Yelp
I don't get why this place isn't busier. The burger was great and only $7.95! Crinkle fries with choice of fry sauce. The place is very clean and has a good vibe. Lastly the people working here are so nice.

Jasmin B.

Yelp
This was our first time eating here - we did order ahead and take out. As a person who worked in the restaurant industry at all levels for over two decades, this review makes me sad because this was an awful, expensive, and sub quality experience across the board. There are things that are tied to quality, things tied to how much you care (or don't) care. This place is a level belong Burger King imo. Flavorless burgers, with nothing but iceberg, tomato, basic burger sauce and pickles on a soggy seeded bun with the personality of a tree stump. The shakes we had - one chocolate and one strawberry weren't even mixed or blended in any fashion; they were half full... even the whipped cream was sad and lacking as it barely went around one time. No cherry, no garnish, no attention to the details. If I had to mention a positive - it would be the tots were cooked well, and had a nice amount of salt. They included numerous sauces - burger sauce, ketchup, ranch without asking and we had napkins (which has become a forgotten part these days evidently at most places.) I was not impressed in any way. Neither was my wife. Slapping together a restaurant and a menu without having an understanding and deep care for food is disappointing and frankly, disrespectful to our community and your customers - do better.

Penny S.

Yelp
This is a basic burger place. Nothing special. I ordered the basic burger and a chocolate shake. The shake was a little too sweet, and had a slightly icy texture till it warmed up in my mouth. The burger tasted good but wasn't anything amazing. I had to ask the guy behind the counter for ketchup and mayo and a knife for spreading. Not a big deal, but most places have things out for customers to grab.

Jerry P.

Yelp
Great tasting burger! I had the Fuller burger today and it was delicious. The smoked bacon was cooked perfectly. You could actually take a bite without pulling the bacon out along with half the other things. I'll be back!

John M.

Yelp
A very decent burger shop. Likely one of the better restaurants in the Cascade Station area. I was in town for business and decided to give them a try. Glad I made that choice. The burger was solid and I paired it with a peanut butter shake. I recommend that combo. I passed on the fries bc i carb-splurged on the shake LOL. All in all a good meal. Give this spot a try.

Dean M.

Yelp
Was there in a very busy Saturday afternoon for lunch. Ordering was easy and the counter help greeted us when we came in. Being that it was busy we did have to wait for our order an bit longer than I wanted but it wasn't terrible. If you are looking for a place to sit down on a busy day this isn't it. Very small dining room with a long bar against the windows and a couple of small table near the restrooms. Restrooms needed a special code that you have to asked for but that's understandable in Portland. My burger was very good and the Cajun tots were perfect not to crispy and not to soft. Make sure to order two cups of the secret sauce to dip them in and put in the burger. They also have ketchup and ranch if you don't like thousand island dressing(the secret sauce).

Harvin T.

Yelp
The staff was genuinely friendly, and the restaurant was clean and presentable. The food was not worth the price I paid. The burger was mostly lettuce and the meat patty just gave a flavor to the lettuce. I like the use of 1,000 island dressing. I'm a sucker for crinkle cut fries, but they were over-salted; I couldn't taste the ranch through it, which is the other problem. Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back.

Ben M.

Yelp
Came for lunch and I was impressed. FBS put out a great tasting burger along with with Tater Tots and an addicting Peanut butter shake. Definitely better that Burgerville Yelpers. Don't get me wrong is was a bit pricey but well worth it. So let it be written... So let it be EATEN.

Senan D.

Yelp
Best lettuce wrapped burger I've ever had. Being someone who can not have bread means I often skill out on anything but fries at places like this. However, I needed to eat more this time, so I got a wrapped burger, and I was impressed. This is the first time I've gotten more than a sad piece of soggy lettuce around my food. Outside of my unique bun, the Fuller burger was great, and the only issue I found was the bacon being a bit over cooked. The fries were seasoned well and a single order was perfect to share between 2 people. Also GET THE RANCH if you're a ranch with your fries person. Totally will be going here again.

Nat S.

Yelp
So good!! Best burger I've had in long time! Fresh crispy toppings, Local beef. Perfectly done crinkle fries. For way less $ than expected. I would pick this place over the more expensive restaurants in cascade station for sure!

Mark B.

Yelp
Solid burger with super fresh toppings. Downtown has become somewhat of a burger desert, so this place is a welcome oasis!

Nick G.

Yelp
I dropped in after dropping someone off at the airport. If you're making a similar trip or shopping in the mall this isn't a bad place to pop into. It's a strip mall, so there's ample parking and the atmosphere is pretty much like any fast food place, bright, white, with generic music piped in. Kind of nice to be able to sit at the window bar and...watch cars parking. The two young women who served me were super friendly. I saw one of them cleaning the milkshake machine, which is really encouraging, though it was after I got mine so... The peanut butter milkshake was fine. I need to remember to always ask them not to drizzle syrup around the inside of the cup (too sweet for me) or put whipped cream on top. These things are so standard now that I guess I don't really expect anyone anywhere to ask my preference but it would be nice. The cheeseburger with American cheese beats most fast food places, but that's not saying much. I think the pickles here are especially good but there might have been one to many for my personal tastes. I'm not a fan of the huge chunk of iceberg lettuce I got. I'd rather it were shredded if iceberg or leafy Romaine instead of...an iceberg. If I come back I'll try to remember to have them go light on the pickles and just leave the lettuce off. The tomato slice was a bit thick for me too. I'm also not personally a fan of crinkle cut fries but these were serviceable for what they are.

Flory W.

Yelp
My idea was to try all the restaurants in the Cascade Station, and this restaurant is on our list. Today is it! I figured: they took everything that was a hot sellers at Burgerking, add their special sauce and calls it Fuller's Burger! Extra pickles, fries were superb best ever! Special sauce - excellent! The burger was better than any fast food restaurant! Everything was fresh and nicely wrapped. Negative: For the best buck burger, then have the thicker restaurant napkins! Cheap napkins just doesn't go with Best rated burger, in my opinion! Clean restroom. Seating indoor & outdoor. Prompt service (meals delivered outside).

Arlene M.

Yelp
OMFG THE BURGER WAS SOOOO GOOD! I got the fuller burger with jalapeño in it and a side of Cajun fries. The place was very clean inside, and the worker that took my order was super friendly and knew exactly what he was talking about when he told us to try the Cajun fries! I loved the burger sauce that they had. I didn't get a picture of my burger because I ate it to fast... lol but it's a definite MUST TRY if you're around in Portland.

Erika H.

Yelp
Food was great but expensive. Service was fast however it impersonal. I had to ask for ketchup and fry sauce after waiting for the cashier to acknowledge me.

Tom S.

Yelp
Grabbed a bite before picking up someone at the airport and I am glad that I did. A decent burger with enough crinkly fries to fill me up. The burger was sizeable with a perfectly grilled inside. Cheeseburger came with pickles tomato lettuce and sauce. Pickles were thick plank style. Lettuce is iceberg. I feel it's worth the $7 for the cheeseburger.

Vitta P.

Yelp
If you want fast and quality food. This is the place! We came here around 6:00 ordered and got or burgers within 20 min. Great service. Fuller Burger: It was fantastic based on taste. But It was filled with so much lettuce and I felt like the burger pattie itself was very thin I couldn't really find it in the burger, it was almost buried away. But overall great burger and would 100% go again. Crinkle Fries: These were actually perfect. Crispy, Warm, and so good. These were probably the best crinkle fries I've ever tried. There menu is small but I think that's what makes this place so great. They don't have a lot of different things but the things they do have on there menu are fantastic! The atmosphere was very causal and chill. Reminded me of like a mix between a fast-food and restaurant.

Michelle E.

Yelp
Wish I'd remembered to take a pic! We were debating the trusty Red Robin or trying this new place, and ultimately ended up here. And it did not disappoint! Don't be fooled by the small menu! I tend to forget that often places with more limited menus have really perfected their offered items. We opted for the fuller burgers and we tried both the tots and fries. I'm normally prefer fries and I know it's kind of hard to screw up a tater tot, but these tots were delicious! So crunchy and flavorful, with a pillowy inside! I'd recommend them over the fries even if you normally prefer fries! They also have monthly special burgers, and the December one was tempting! Can't wait to go back!

Carter N.

Yelp
The burger was good came with generic fries and tots. Two complaints one they gave me way to much lettuce but other than that I would eat again. Two the plastic cup they gave me for my beer was something to be desired chipped and cracked. Gave me an elevated In-and-Out vibes.

Adam Z.

Yelp
Solid burger, but nothing spectacular. The bun was buttery, warm and something was just really tasty about it. It was my favorite aspect of the meal. The burger itself was warm and right off the grill. There were two thin patties and two slices of American cheese. I know it's hard to get juiciness from those sorts of thin patties, but I wasn't in love what the beef. The things I look for are juiciness, freshness, smokiness and that sort of crispiness you get from a smashed burger. I didn't feel like I was really getting much of those things. Still, it was solid. The fries were interesting. They weren't the crispiest, but crispy fries are weirdly hard to come by even though they're easy to make at home. The interesting thing is that they add sugar to them. I licked my finger at some point in the meal, thought I tasted sugar, and the girl up front confirmed it. Which I think is a cool twist! It was very subtle, but fun. They add sugar in fried rice too, so why not french fries!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
This restaurant was a shock to me. Usually strip mall food is just meh but Fuller's brings it. Everything is sold ala cart. They have a burger of the month and you should definitely try them out...all of them. The burgers are big, flavorful, and juicy. The fries are plentiful. You won't be disappointed.

Martin F.

Yelp
We've been here a couple of times. The burgers are pretty much what you expect from an overpriced burger stand. The fries are crinkle cut frozen, the tots are equally uninspired and over priced. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was fine, the wife had the basic burger with tater tots and a shake. She would give the place 4 stars however this is my review and it's a solid 3 . The food came up pretty quickly and our order was accurate. The seating is cramped. For the same price, better selection and service, we'll go to the Red Robin just down the block the next time we want a burger fix. YMMV

Adam T.

Yelp
Burger was good, picked up to go as they were closing and I was staying at a hotel near the airport. Unfortunately my room didn't have a microwave so my cold burger didn't really give them a fair shot...but seemed it would be very good. The milkshakes however were fantastic!

Constantine J.

Yelp
If you're in the area it is likely you'll smell these juicy burgers from wherever you are. The smell is too tempting to avoid. Great spot for a good burger. Nothing too fancy, they just do their burgers right. You've got options of tater tots or fries with homemade ranch. Can't go wrong. Both options are great. Will be coming back to try the milkshakes as well.

Maile S.

Yelp
decent service... but i instantly felt sick after eating there and could not finish my burger. shortly after my boyfriend also felt sick. maybe they don't change their oil enough or clean the grill? either way not satisfied... i mean, who likes feeling sick?

Grace M.

Yelp
We came with high expectations after a long flight. We were greeted by the friendly server behind the counter and placed our order. The shake came first and it was excellent. The combination of chocolate and creamy peanut butter was delicious. Now onto the food, I would double check your order before leaving the store. We ordered two burgers with grilled onions and cut in half. Only one burger had grilled onions and both were whole. The tots did not come with any ranch sauce. I asked for no salt and I think they put extra salt. It was so salty, I couldn't even eat it. The burger was basic with thin patty and the secret sauce was almost absent. The lettuce is fresh and added a nice crunch to the burger. Overall, disappointing other than the milkshake. I won't be coming back here.

Katie P.

Yelp
went to Pioneer Place location. ate the classic burger. it was a very solid burger! and very tasty tatter tots! I will definitely be back.

Jamie B.

Yelp
The burgers are tasty but too thin. If this was a thicker burger would totally be worth it. Ordered a basket of fries, disappointing amount. When asked what size they are, the cashier pointed to a basket and made it seem like that basket would be filled. Well, they came out with the burger of the month in the same basket. I actually thought we accidently ordered 2 fries. One with the burger of the month and another basket of fries must be coming out. But nope, the half basket was a full order of fries. All in all, it tasted good. Just all need more. Also, hate that there are no tables. One giant table that only one party can sit at, one tiny table and then counter seats. With a child, the high counter is a no go. Heard so many good thing about here, probably won't be back.

Janet L.

Yelp
Not worth the money. Everything was undercooked and over salted! Go to McDonalds their fries are better than this place.

Darren O.

Yelp
Been wanting to go here since they got ranked so high on the Portland burger rankings. Finally had an airport run that worked out. Really good classic griddled burger with classic toppings. Good bun good fries and tots. Their fullers sauce is basically a fry sauce with relish or finely chopped pickles. Really good on everything we ordered besides the milkshake. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They were great. Why 4 stars instead of 5? It just didn't blow me away like PDX Sliders or Killer Burger did the first time. This is not a criticism- if I lived nearby I would frequent this place often. It just wasn't in my top 2 or 3 in the area. Definitely really good though! Great job! The milkshake was amazing too!

Travis W.

Yelp
We went on a weekend, and despite the pandemic they certainly had a steady flow of business! I had asked what was in the secret sauce because I truly hate ketchupy things and he asked if I liked spicy food. I do, and he told me they were doing this special burger this month with jalapenos and a spicy cream cheese based sauce, so I ordered that with tots and a Pfriem beer. The burger was well cooked and had that slight crust that a hot grill will provide. The veggies were cool and crisp, but didn't make the burger soggy. The tots were crispy and hot, and while this might sound like I've lost the plot, it was the ranch that did it for me. I'm kind of a ranch snob and their ranch dressing was SO good. It's offered as a dipping sauce along with the tots. I really liked it, we will definitely be back.

Shan H.

Yelp
Customer service has dramatically declined. New manager Ernesto was awful. The meal was made incorrectly and instead of fixing their mistake, they informed us (in an aggressively unprofessional way) they didn't care and if we wanted it corrected, we could pay for another meal. We didn't make a huge deal out of it but asked for contact info (email or phone) to discuss what happened and the manager (Ernesto) refused to provide. Terrible experience.

Dean C.

Yelp
Food was very good. We had a cheeseburger with fries and tots. The young person who helped us at the counter was fantastic and very welcoming. She really took great care of the people eating there. Thank you!

Mea M.

Yelp
I ordered the cheeseburger and tater tots. When I got fries instead, I explained that I had ordered tots. Without saying a word to me, she turned around to the cook and said "she wanted tots." She then proceeded to dump out the fries and handed me back the plate with just the burger on it. Assuming she would bring the tots out to me or at the very least call my name when they were ready, i sat down and started eating the burger. After finishing the burger without receiving the tots, I went back and asked for my tots, which were sitting on the counter. She said "oh! I wondered where you went!" Yet she didn't even try to find me. I sat down with the tots but they were way too salty and I could barely eat them. Cheeseburger was good.

Michael S.

Yelp
Okay ... neither gratifying or terrible. I feel about Fuller's Burger Shack the same way I do about Carrie Bradshaw, Etsy, whatever your baby did today, ... or any thing that has left no impact on my life. I'm not a hater or a fan. I'm like Switzerland when it comes to Fuller's Burger except with less emotion and financial secrecy. I got the namesake ($9.25) with American Cheese and Smoked Bacon. Both added nothing. No flavor or excitement at all and making the burger as boring as the Swiss. Ok, I don't know why there is so much animosity to the Swiss Confederation in this review. I really should apologize, so, I will. Switzerland, I'm sure you are more interesting and enjoyable than a Fuller's Burger and I promise I'd rather visit you instead of Fuller's Burger Shack again. Also, all of the empty tables and countertops were dirty when we arrived (mid-afternoon) as well as multiple napkins and papers floating on the floor. Toto, we're not in pristine Zurich anymore for sure. We asked for some napkins from the front counter and cleared a spot for ourselves. It's fine to have a burger option at Cascadia Station and especially one that has a beer or two on draft. That option is Fuller's Burger Shack even though it's more neutral than fine.

Ray T.

Yelp
I am bummed to say the burgers were very ordinary. They were thin, overcooked, and lacked flavor. The tater tots were overcooked and had too much seasoning salt. I had high expectations, but the food did not warrant the price. I'm not sure if I will try it again.

Rhonda S.

Yelp
The burger was good. Tator tots could have been a little warmer. Service was good. The food was served promptly.

Niki S.

Yelp
I have no other besides that homer simpson droooool sound he makes. If you are ever up by the airport, shopping in cascade station, or just craving a damn good burger with amazing service, this is your place. I tried the January burger, ranch tots, and pear cider. I have two technical kudos I very much think are worth noting here at Fullers. First, there is only one way to cook a tater - and that is really crispy yet gooey on the inside. I planned on only eating half my tots. But these guys nailed the friggin cook on the tots and made me eat all the damn things, the nerve! Crunchy perfection. Next, the burger. The amount of lettuce was perfect to contain and balance that amount of creamy jalapeño filing - but moreso, they nailed the cook on the burger patty. For a thinner yet larger patty I was very impressed. It was not char-overcooked but also wasn't pink inside, like it was kissed from burger angels. The burger is something I would drive back out here for just to enjoy. The bacon added a certain level of glutony that I wouldn't usually mind if I hadn't ordered the tots considering I am usually low carb. But again, it was well worth it. There are wine and cider options too. A little something for everyone. Just be sure to give it a try. Or give it allll a try!!

Conrad P.

Yelp
Not able to say anything good. Below average burger. My beer came 10 minutes after my burger, during which time the server decided to refill all the not yet empty napkin dispensers rather than pour my drink. Finally, they served the wrong beer in a tiny plastic cup. By this time the burger was cold but I didn't want to wait another 10 minutes to have my order corrected.

Kim R.

Yelp
We were in need of a quick bite after an airport pick-up. Always up for trying something new, so we decided on Fuller's. Stopped by on a Saturday night about a half-hour before closing. They were dead, we were the only customers. Easy, small menu from which to pick. We all ordered basic burgers, with fries and tots. Everything was cooked well, and made to order. Simply put...the food was good, the burgers pretty big, the customer service was friendly. Nothing to get excited about, but nothing to be turned off by either. Just decent, average burgers if you are in need when on an airport run.

Nolan V.

Yelp
Found this place while looking for another place that turned out to be closed. The staff was nice and friendly. The place was clean and lively. I ordered the fuller burger and root beer float. Not to bad. The price was good, and food hit the spot.

Pat W.

Yelp
I was shopping at Cascade station today. Tried Fullers burgers and it was clean, fast and filling. The Peanut Butter Milkshake would be top 3 I've ever had. The Mushroom Swiss burger was very juicy and delicious. My only knock is there should be more signature burgers too choose from.

Clif C.

Yelp
Went with the Fullers burger-American cheese. A Classic general burger. Nothing special but also nothing terrible. Added a side of Tots-crispy and salty. I opted for special sauce as my dipping sauce, which tasted like thousand island dressing. Now let's talk about the peanut butter milkshake--fantastic!! Not a bad place for a quick burger. Seating is bar stools against the windows. Just an FYI If it were busy seating could be limited!

Holly H.

Yelp
The burgers and fries are great, and the milkshakes are yummy too! The staff are friendly and helpful. We go several times a year.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
The food is great and the shakes are made with real ice cream. The wait isn't too long and their tater tots can't be beat.

Bee C.

Yelp
One of the best (vegetarian) burgers I've had in Portland! The fresh flavor of each ingredient really makes this place stand out when comparing them to other burger joints around Portland - the burger buns & 'secret sauce' especially

Karl A.

Yelp
I am in love! Fuller burger is simplicity at its finest! The menu is simple, but seems to have something for everyone. Ordering was fast and we had our food in minutes, but this was far from fast food flavor. The burger of the month was a combination of spicy and savory. The gluten free bun is on par with your favorite hamburger buns. The fries are not just salted, but I'm pretty sure their is some magic dust on them, giving them a hint of sweet. They are solid with ketchup, but they are a home run with the fry sauce. The tater tots are equally delicious. I will be back soon, that was an awesome meal!

Joekin C.

Yelp
Employees were very kind! Food was great, area was clean, employee checked up on me to see how it was going. Dine-in and to-go options. Only bad thing I have to say is it's a bit pricey. A "Fuller Burger" with an extra patty and a drink came out to around $14. No sides, no sauce. Other than that everything was great! Definitely a good burger spot.

Internet S.

Yelp
Craving a burger and with reviews to try. Had the Fuller burger. It was big but meat to bun ratio is a little off. Needed a bigger patty or a slightly smaller but. Overall it was good and I would recommend coming here. Total with tip $12.

Adam B.

Yelp
Really wanted a burger and tots saw this place and decided to try it out. I wish I could never get full because the burgers are AMAZING. If you're wanting a good burger without having to pay a lot or wait a while, 100% eat here. If I ever have the urge to eat a burger I'm only eating here.
