Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was fantastic! Our server Arly was right on the ball, very attentive and really seems to like her job! Our friends enjoyed the oysters immensely. The crab legs were so delicious and the fried shrimp was fresh and cooked perfectly! Good burgers too! Our drinks were so good! Super laid back and relaxing atmosphere!! I give it a 10 out of 10!!

We wanted to try something new locally. Found this place. The food was outstanding. 10/10 I would highly recommend it. The only reason I did not do 5 stars is because they had no kids' menu. So I do not recommend bringing really little ones. But perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Loved the $1 oysters. My daughter had the crab cake sandwich. I had the cat fish over grits. Hubby had the shrimp tacos. And my 2 youngest split the cheeseburger meal. Definitely will be back again.

Fuller’s Raw Bar delivered an incredible seafood spread that hit all the right notes. We started with a massive pot of mussels with sausage, potatoes, and corn—savory, perfectly seasoned, and packed with coastal flavor. Washed it down with a few ice-cold local beers, which made everything go down smooth on a warm day. The real showstopper? Four dozen oysters—fresh, briny, and shucked to perfection. If you’re a fan of raw bars, this spot should be at the top of your list. Great service, laid-back vibe, and seafood that speaks for itself. Can’t wait to come back. When the crab legs make strangers comment on their size, you know you’ve found the right place. We were staying in Ocean View West and the day completely got away from us. By the time we were ready for dinner, it was close to 8 p.m., and I refuse to walk into a restaurant right before closing. Most of the places near where we were staying were already close to closing, so options were limited. A quick Google search brought up Fuller’s Raw Bar, which showed they were open until 10 (or “when they close,” as their door says). I skimmed through the reviews and photos, and everything looked fantastic so we went. Fuller’s is in Phoebus, which turned out to be a super cute area for a walk after dinner. We started with the blue cheese kettle chips, which I was excited for the second I saw them online. They were amazing rich, crispy, and perfectly balanced. My fiancée, who’s usually not a fan of blue cheese, couldn’t stop eating them. I ordered the 1 lb of shrimp and a snow crab cluster, which came with red potatoes, sausage, and corn on the cob. The shrimp were huge, and the snow crab cluster was massive! Even a woman walking out stopped to comment on it. My fiancée ordered the Mahi Banh Mi and loved every flavorful bite. They also have a large beer selection for those who drink. Our server was polite, attentive, and kept our drinks full the entire time, which just made the experience that much better. Needless to say, we left completely stuffed and very happy. Fuller’s is now on our must return list.

Fuller's is the best seafood I've had in the area in a long time. I always go for their specials. Their whole staff is so friendly and welcoming. Tonight I had their mussel/shrimp pasta in a cream sauce and I was blown away.

Google
This is a GREAT place to stop and eat either before, or after, going through the Hampton Roads tunnel on I-64. I love trying oysters from all over the country and found Fuller's Raw Bar to be one of the best I've found for having a great variety of fresh, local, raw oysters. All 4 varieties I tried on the sample platter were super fresh, amazingly flavorful, and arranged from the lowest level of saltiness, to the highest. Tim shucked all the oysters to perfection and was highly knowledgeable in the local seafood scene. The wait staff were extremely friendly, and the locals I sat with at the bar were great to talk to and very welcoming. Oyster selections change throughout the year and you won't be disappointed. Review addition: Came back a couple months later, and the same amazing service and food! Tim is a wealth of knowledge and taught me lots about the oysters they serve, the locations, and history. He even showed me how to properly shuck an oyster. Their house-made mignonette for the oysters is fabulous. Fuller's is still #1 in my book for oysters in the Hampton Roads area.

Google
The oyster Caesar salad was amazing! The oysters are fresh and delicious. The fried oysters are perfect with lemon and crystal hot sauce! My daughter had the fried chicken sandwich. It is served with a spicy aioli and house pickles. My brother and sister in law favor the chicken sandwich as well. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is inviting. We definitely enjoy the nice view of downtown Phoebus through the floor to ceiling windows. We will be back soon! Update: hubby and I enjoyed a lunch date today. I HAD to have the Oyster Caesar Salad. It was ah-mazing per usual. The dressing is so flavorful, and the oysters are prepared perfectly. I loved every single bite. However, if your appetite is large, definitely order extras. Hubby had the fish and chips. The kettle chips are the perfect crunch and allow for malt vinegar to seep right in. Everything is homemade, and it's obvious. I'll try something new next time.... in addition to the caesar 😆

The waitress was friendly and helpful. She recommended the two dishes, and they were delicious. The catfish was amazing. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Found this place by accident went to go visit mango mango and they were closed so we went across the street and I am so glad that we did. Have friends from out of town and this was my new favorite spot. The service was outstanding nice friendly people. The ambiance was great. The bathrooms were clean. But the food let me tell you was everything both the sriracha salmon bites and the catfish and grits for me where a 10 out of 10 and I am not even a catfish lover. I have to visit this place at least once a month and whenever I go to the VA I definitely have to come over and get the sriracha salmon bites and a salad. This is a must try. I heard they have a new chef and they're going to be adding a few new things to their menu but from the things that I have tried there I haven't been disappointed with anything my mother she loves shrimps and the shrimps were really big and cooked perfectly. The crowd is very mixed this is located in the heart of Phoebus next to ice cream shop and across the street is a bakery it's some book stores and it's a lovely little area very safe. Yelp
Very solid experience here. We were looking for a casual, sit down restaurant with good seafood, and it did not disappoint. It is on a very quaint lovely street with other restaurants, so it was perfect for a dinner-dessert night! We ordered the oysters which were fresh and delicious, and the waiter was so kind and gave us a full rundown of the different flavor profiles. He even ate an oyster (from the kitchen of course) with us to show us the proper oyster etiquette! Top notch service. We also had the blackened fish tacos and the shrimp dinner, which were perfectly cooked. The fries were so thin and crispy, I absolutely loved them. The only lackluster part was my jambalaya, which was full of juicy meats and veggies, but was not flavorful at all, so I would probably order something else next time. But overall a very solid experience!

Yelp
This place is great but really - their customer service LACKS. I have come to the Hampton area multiple times and we have gone here a few times. Usually in a large group. So what do we do? We show up and then they are all flustered and all over the place. It's horrible. So I try again this time because I'm coming back, I called MULTIPLE TIMES. NO ANSWER. Not once. Like what??? What kind of business is run like this? I submitted an online order and still nothing. So yeah - if you have a large group, or ANY GROUO, take it somewhere else that will value your business.

Yelp
All-around a great restaurant in the Phoebus area of Hampton! Stopped in late afternoon on a Saturday before the dinner rush, but it's not an overly large restaurant and because the food is so good I can see it getting crowded! Very nice server who made sure we were taken care of. Food: I split the shrimp and mussels boil and it was delicious! So good and plenty of food for two! We even took some home. Can't wait to go back and try it more of their menu!
google avatar

Travon J.

Yelp
Had a pound of steamed shrimp and 12 laughing kings oysters. When I say phenomenal and the cocktail sauce was the thing that set it over the top. Sorry no before photos but definitely after ones.
google avatar

Yelp
Very fast and friendly service on a Sunday afternoon. Food was good but I was especially impressed by how delicious the steamed shrimp were! Such a simple meal but tasted so amazing. My only recommendation is that they get new menus as they are starting to peel and fall apart.
google avatar

Shelb L.

Yelp
I visited on a Sunday afternoon. I was initially worried it would be packed but thankfully they had seating available. The environment is causal but would also be a cute date night spot if you were feeling like dressing up. Rebecca F was super attentive & friendly. For drinks: I was debating on ordering the Lavender 75 or the Sal De Gusano. I went with the bartender's recommendation & ordered the Lavender 75. So grateful I did! It was tasty, the lavender flavor tasted natural & was not over powering. It was beautifully garnished with a lemon peel. For starters: I ordered a side Caesar salad. The salad was fresh & overall good but a little over-dressed, in my opinion. For meal: I ordered the Fish & Chips! They were buttery, flaky, & moist. Highly recommend the Lavender 75. I'll be back again for the drink & to try more of the menu!

Yelp
This is my go to spot in Hampton for some good seafood. Come on Tues and enjoy their 'shuck a buck' $1 oysters. We ordered 10 raw and 10 steamed. Service was good. It's always busy after work hours. We also split a chicken sandwich... OMG, it was straight up bomb! Will definitely be ordering that again. All in all, I always enjoy myself coming here and highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was great! The tartar sauce was perfect and loved the texture of the fish. I also enjoyed the string fries. The service was fast and responsive. The restaurant had a cool atmosphere reminding me of a fishing hut.

Yelp
Fuller's Raw Bar is the perfect hidden gem in Hampton to visit to if you're craving seafood. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're at a beachside restaurant because of the eclectic array of nautical decor. The staff was extremely friendly and our server offered us some great suggestions on what to order since this was our first time visiting. If you were to only order one thing off the menu, I would highly suggest getting the Caesar Salad topped off with fried oysters! While the platters are what probably attracts most people to Fuller's, the salad topped with fried oyster is unlike anything you've ever tried and more than justifies the cost ($10 salad + $10 for oysters). The Steamed Sampler Platter was our main course and was enough food for two of us to feel satisfied. The Steamed Sampler Platter came with 6 Oysters, 6 Clams, 1 Snow Crab Cluster, Half Pound of Mussels, Half Pound of Peel n Eat Shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, and sausage!
google avatar

Alma C.

Yelp
Although they look nice in the photo I included, I would not recommend the snow crab, nor as an east coast restaurant, would I have it on my menu. I like them when they're good, but these were not the best. The shrimp were good and deveined. I thought the mussels and clams were also very good. The more brackish water raw oysters were my favorite (I preferred them over the oysters included in the steamed platter), and while nothing was egregiously wrong, we spent a lot of moolah (100), and still left hungry. I understand seafood's expensive, but maybe their price point was off, because we were two of four total patrons in the restaurant at 5pm on the Thursday. The couple next to us ordered chicken sandwiches with fries, which they enjoyed but was not even seafood.
google avatar

Darnell P.

Yelp
Hey, so, if you're planning to eat here, just a heads up, they don't accept more than $100 through Apple Pay, tap, or contactless payments. The service was just okay, the food was just okay, and the atmosphere was just okay. Nothing really stood out, but it was a bit annoying when they told me I couldn't pay more than $100 after I went to the register to pay.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Decent divey seafood joint. Food is well done but price to quality a bit off. Fun atmosphere. Service was a bit of a mess, forgotten order, wrong item, overcharged, etc. if you can tolerate bad service, may be worth checking out for decent seafood.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Just plates full of deliciousness! What I forgot to get pics of was our appetizer (shrimp cocktail) and my happy hour Fuller's Punch. Let me forewarn you, the cocktail sauce is AMAZING but packs a punch and will definitely clear your nostrils! We love for stuff to have a kick and the cocktail sauce definitely delivers. I ordered the catfish and grits and got 3 meals out of it. You can't tell from the pic but the portions are huge. Two big filets and a plate full of grits. I'm so glad we finally ventured in to Fullers! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
Fresh seafood but sauces & service could be better. The seafood on our sandwiches tasted great. I would skip the tartar sauce due to the banana peppers. The shrimp po' boy also tasted great. Had I been paying attention I would have asked for the buffalo mayo on the side. I think it would have been better without it. Blue cheese kettle chips were a delight. They don't have a kids' menu. We ordered the big chili cheese dog, hold everything. Unfortunately there was no discount. Service could have been a bit better. It seemed like the server was in a bit of a rush. The plates were taken off the table without asking. Sometimes we weren't done with them yet.

Yelp
I typed "oysters" into my search, and Fuller's came up. So, we made the drive out to Hampton from Norfolk :) FOOD: We ordered a half dozen of oysters - delicious! My husband ordered the oyster po'boy but didn't enjoy it much; it was just a personal preference. I ordered their paella and didn't enjoy it. Traditional paella usually isn't swimming in broth, and I had to slirp this with a spoon. But the seafood was delicious! The highlight of our experience was the Nightingale ice cream sandwich, which they don't even make in-house! lol LOCATION: Spacious, fun, and many TVs! SERVICE: Super friendly service! Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Would I come back? Yeah, I'd like to have more oysters.
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Was packed inside and outside on Saturday evening for dinner! We ended up sitting outside and ordering the mixed platter (oyster, clam, mussel, shrimp, snow crab, etc) and the steamed crab platter. Really fresh seafood and delicious butter dip. Prices are fair for the quality, but on the slightly more expensive side. We were swarmed by flies while eating seafood outside, so would recommend indoor seating during the summer months if possible.
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
I really like this place. Apparently this is the sister restaurant to Deadrise down the street, which was our initial choice but they were closed for maintenance. Fuller's is packed with a lot of seafood dishes and specials. I went with the fish fillet sandwich which reminded me of McD's. It even had the cheese! The fish was fried crisp but still juicy on the inside. The fish wasn't seasoned though so I had to put hot sauce on it to make it better. Overall it still was a 4.5 out of 5. I took a bite of my sons shrimp po'boy and it was yummy too. The sauce on it brought it up a noche. They serve orange crush and they are not weak with the liquor. Haha! There's outdoor seatings with umbrellas and the indoor can hold a small party of like 8-10. The restaurants in the downtown Phoebus area are not that large. But I will definitely come back again!

Yelp
The food was amazing! It was freshly made and fresh food quality. Please believe me when I say this ... The Jambalaya was one of the best dishes I've ever TASTED! It had some many different flavors that were married. Roasted vegetables, well seasoned, rice cooked to perfection, jumbo shrimp. Dish was hearty, and savory without being salty. It was so good 10/10 stars!! My seafood platter was yummy, it was seasoned with old bay style seasoning tastefully that let the natural freshness of the seafood shine. The boil sauce had an faint tomato base which made it feel balance and creole in nature. I was surprised at the amount of food you get for $38 1 cluster of crabs, half lb of shrimp, 1/2 lb mussels, 6 oysters and 6 clams . Added on potatoes, corn and sausage for another $5 dollars! Worth every penny! I love the revitalization of Phobeus area and hope to visit soon and see this place become a staple of the community. Service was excellent our server had dark hair and arm nautical tattoos forgot his name but he was extremely kind , knowledgeable about the menu and other sister restaurants. He also provided other recommendations for good eats in other states! Ambiance was nice and clean. They had a full bar and couple of tvs playing Sunday Football. They also have an outdoor patio which had quite a few people eating there on a 65 degree fall day. Would recommend 1000 percent ! Please go there
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
Very good, fresh seafood! I really enjoyed the fish tacos and shrimp tacos! They were very flavorful. The only thing I would change is to add some kind of slaw to them and maybe a different kind of cheese like a crumbly kind, or to just omit the cheese overall. The service was excellent.

Yelp
A group of us descended upon Fuller's (party of 12) without notice. But the nice hostess did not seem rattled by our appearance and was able to quickly seat us. It was happy hour so our party decided to partake of the specials, including the house speciality, the Fuller's Punch and the cheap shot and a draft beer. I think those who got the punch got the better end of the deal! Our party ordered a bit of everything. Everyone was very happy with their selections. I ordered the oyster po' boy. Usually with a po' boy, there is too much lettuce and you are lucky to get 5 oyster on your sandwich. Not with this one! It was chocker-block-ful of oysters, fried to perfection, dressed with a bit remoulade sauce and just enough lettuce to give it a bit of crunch. Very nice. I got a side of kettle chips to go with it. I forgot to ask if they were house made. They seemed to be. Also, we had the world's greatest server, Jen, who was not only friendly but absolutely kick-ass in keeping our orders straight, the happy hour drinks coming and remembering that I had a to-go order and placed it at the absolute correct time while I was having a great time with my dining companions. I will be more than happy to stop in at Fuller's the next time I am in Pheobus. Cool place with a nice vibe, great food and great service.
google avatar

Tasha W.

Yelp
Food is always good and fresh! Service is welcoming ! It's a very casual vibe so don't get dressed up! No need! Perfect lunch or after a long day spot! Don't call ahead though as they probably won't answer but it's worth the wait!

Yelp
After a holiday photoshoot at Fort Monroe, my friends and I had a delicious lunch at Fuller's Raw Bar. I liked how they had Downeast Cider on their beer menu. Our server Kiley M. sold me on their seasonal cocktail called In the Orchard. It consisted of bourbon, apple butter, fig, and bitters shaken, served with a big ice square, and garnished with an orange peel. We shared an order of Cider Mussels Frites. They were so delicious. Most of us got items from their Specials menu, including Pimento Crab Grilled Cheese and Tuna. My fiancé loved his Cheeseburger, which consisted of ground brisket smash patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, dijonaise, and pickles on a toasted bun. The shoestring fries were thin and crispy. The Pimento Crab Grilled Cheese consisted of buttered grilled sourdough loaded with blue crab and pimento cheese. It was served a side of creamy tomato soup. I loved how cheesy it was. I enjoyed dipping the grilled cheese into the creamy tomato soup. The tuna entree consisted of grilled yellowtail cooked to perfection. It was served over curried butternut squash puree, greens sautéed with bacon and cauliflower in a garlicky lemon vinaigrette. The meal was so delicious, I decided to buy a souvenir t-shirt.

Yelp
Everything was amazing--the food, the service, the atmosphere... I came with a group of friends (four of us total). Our server, Stephanie, was so fun. We started with the Monday shrimp+beer special, and the shrimp was the best we've had on our tour of the mid Atlantic coast so far. Stephanie also immediately recommended one of the daily specials (shrimp curry) which was indeed absolutely delicious. We also had grilled swordfish and scallop fried rice (both specials) and all of it was so good. We finished the meal by trying each of the desserts. Absolute do NOT skip the pineapple upside down cake. It is literally one of the best desserts we've ever had. We loved the food and the experience here! We're from Texas and Indiana but we would definitely come back.
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
This is our go-to place for fresh oysters! Always and consistently shucked perfectly, the guys there do an AMAZING job (don't forget to tip them!) The steamed shrimp is also cooked PERFECTLY every time and never overcooked! The specials are also usually really good! Everything on the menu is a hit, really but the catfish and grits are delicious! The service in the past year has really gone downhill, which is sad because there used to be a few really great servers, just haven't seen them lately! Other than the hit-or-miss service, this place has it all!
google avatar

Ronalyn D.

Yelp
This is a perfect seafood restaurant to go to before or after an event at the American Theatre near Hampton University. I had the shrimp basket, and an bananas & cream ice cream sandwich bar, all was delicious. Their oysters basket is also delicious and has French fries with it. I sat at the bar since I was alone and didn't need a table for which there was a line wait.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Like oysters as much as I do? If so, Fuller's is definitely the place for you. Raw, steamed, fried, Fuller's offers oysters from various surrounding bodies of water. I have had the steamed shrimp as well, which are tender, large, and tasty. Service is always quick and attentive. When in the Phoebus section of Hampton, check out Fuller's!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Oyster lovers: Do not sleep on Fuller's Raw Bar! These folks know their craft. Fuller's offers a variety of oysters all sourced on the East Coast. The oysters taste fresh, the juice remains intact, & they're cleaned extremely well. I've haven't had a shell in any of the oysters I've tried. I believe, from experience, every oyster is properly & meticulously cleaned & shucked. Not one bad oyster on my multiple visits to Fuller's. Price point is totally worth it especially on Tuesday's for $1 oysters all day. Check out their Facebook page for the type of oyster that will be on special. Mine & my friend's personal fav are the Laughing Kings. We ate 5 dozen of these babies in one visit! Then, we tried their French Fries. Not sure what it was, but the fries were out of this world. Cut matchstick style, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Also, tried their Red Oyster Chowder that was absolutely delicious! It was my first oyster chowder w/ a red sauce. We slowly ate this little bowl of soup to slowly savor the flavor. For dessert we shared a Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwich. Everything I've tried at Fuller's has been delicious. Red Oyster Chowder, Fries, Hoe cake, and of course oysters! Bar service is acceptable. No frills & staff gets straight to the point. Brandon was actually awesome. He was hospitable and went above and beyond. The shuckers and kitchen staff are on it hustling non-stop. They totally need a tip jar. Y'all rock!!! Thank you for making every visit memorable.

Yelp
Visited yet again! Enjoyed two dozen raw oysters and shared Fish and Chips! Perfect combination! So delicious.
google avatar

David O.

Yelp
Back again - really enjoy Tuesday oyster day. Fish and Chips were excellent this time, done perfectly, fresh out of the fryer and steaming! One of our favorites when in the area!
google avatar

Tyson K.

Yelp
Great food, service, and environment. One of our go-to places for seafood. You've got to enjoy the oysters.
google avatar

Audry P.

Yelp
I LOVE oysters, so it is no surprise that I love this place. It is a limited assortment of four types of oysters and the location from which they come from changes with the season. I chose to get a dozen of the sweetest oysters they had, and the price point is about $38 for the dozen. I loved the side sauces (horse radish, cocktail sauce, and a lovely and refreshing vinegarette) that Fullers provided that go with the oysters. They were delicious, plump, freah, and worth the price point. I also ordered the fried oysters. Sadly even though the oysters themselves were fantastic. The breading was so salty I couldn't eat them. Overall, the service was good. And the food was good. Definitely worth the stop for oyster shooters, or raw oysters.
google avatar

Jazz T.

Yelp
Tuesday is $1 oysters all day. However, they don't really mean all day. We arrived around 5pm and they only had enough for us to have a dozen before they "sold out". They also advertised a watermelon margarita, that was also unavailable and they "forgot to to take it off of the menu". They also were out of their restaurant's signature drink... the fuller's punch... noticing a theme here yet?! That was pretty annoying and why they received a 3 star rating. Please order enough oysters next time. However, our server was awesome and the food was even better. We ended up ordering the oyster sampler, since that's the whole reason we came. and I also ordered their fillet o fish sandwich and boy was it tasty. This restaurant is a hole in a wall with some of the best seafood in Hampton. I say that it's a must try.
google avatar

Jyll D.

Yelp
Food is very good, not an extensive menu but fresh seafood focus. Seafood is just expensive so was reasonably priced. Had fries as a side dish too. They were homemade and good.
google avatar

Kwame S.

Yelp
Great place for a nice, quick lunch. We stopped by Fuller's on our way to Williamsburg. My oyster po'boy was pretty on point and was chopped full of oysters. The service was pretty fast, and the bartender was very friendly. While the restaurant is a bit of a drive from Va Beach, I definitely wouldn't mind dropping by for another feeding in the near future.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Whether you like raw or steamed seafood this place should be at the top of your list. The fried foods are good also and they have a very good bar, but the strength is the raw and steamed.
google avatar

Mya T.

Yelp
Nice spot for Sunday lunch with friends and family. I ordered a brisket burger to go with fries. It took about 10 minutes to come out and it was pretty juicy. The fries were lacking a little bit in flavor and crisp but would be nice to come back and try the seafood here.
google avatar

Sheba B.

Yelp
Baby when tell you the fried oysters are on point!! So good!! Fell in love with the homemade potato chips!! Definitely will be returning to this spot!!'

Deborah B.

Yelp
Fuller's has a great atmosphere and good service. I usually love their steamed fresh shrimp but on 4/28/25, the shrimp did not look good, it came with the skins peeling off and not seasoned very well. I was disappointed, the steamed shrimp has always been fresh, beautifully seasoned and so good in the past.
google avatar

T J.

Yelp
The food was spot on!! I had the Caesar oyster salad and the chips with blue cheese. The servers were also courteous. The wait time for my food was good especially since they were pretty busy on a Tuesday night. I would 10/10 highly recommend!
google avatar

Tara J.

Yelp
Once again, I'm back at Fuller's Raw Bar. This was my 2nd visit. The service was great and my food was fresh and hot. The portions of the fish and fish sandwich was huge... you could not even see my bun at the bottom of my sandwich! I took a picture of the interior for you to get a feel of the place. It's a casual, small spot. Definitely an awesome find in the Hampton roads!
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
My husband and I have had dinner here twice so far and absolutely love it. We are huge oyster fans so have enjoyed the Tuesday $1 oyster specials. We are also big fans of the fish sandwich which is massive and delicious. For drinks, they have a full bar and a really good rum punch. It is a smaller place and can get busy so plan accordingly, however it is well worth the wait!

Yelp
My lighting is so bad in this picture and it doesn't do Fullers any Justice. Just know, this is my favorite Hampton restaurant and that means a lot. I'm a Hampton girl born and bred and I even work for the city! I love Fullers so much. They have the best seafood on the Peninsula. This place even made me a raw oysters girl and I had sworn that I'd never try them! Well. Long story short - I'm in love! Whether you like your oysters raw, fried, or in a tasty red chowder, Fullers has it all including a lot of other Coastal Virginia seafood dishes that will really knock your socks off. Oh yea, they're also freaking awesome and they participate in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Oyster Shell Recycling Program and are doing great things to ensure sustainability of our aquaculture. Recycled oyster shells create new homes for oyster babies! They've recycled more shells than any organization in the program and I love that for them!

Yelp
we celebrated national oyster day by slurping down these briny beauties and enjoying the perfect foodie holiday! this was our second visit to fullers and they did not disappoint! our last visit a year ago was 3/5 now I can say they have impressed me a year later with a 4.5/5. the sal de gusano was our only con of the entire meal, it wasn't as tasty as the rum punch Stephanie (our server) had personalized for us! thank you for making our second visit awesome! drinks: : sal de gusano: mezcal, blanco tequila, blood orange, lemon, tajin : rum punch (this was personalized) oyster flight: : blackberries | sweet (his favorite) laughing kings: the perfect balance of buttery and briney : chunus | refreshing and briny (both of our favorite) seaside salts | super briny like it came straight from the sea but oh so delicious entree: 1lb of + 12 james river (served with sausage, corn on the cob + potatoes) eat well, sasha @foodxcafecito

Yelp
The service was ok. The waiter was a little iffy for me. There was no giving in to tailor my meal to my liking. Food was good. Catfish was a little on the salty side, but overall, it was good. I didn't want my fish on top of grits. I don't like the concept of fish and grits and wanted to substitute the grits for fries, but I wasn't allowed. So they put it on the side for me.

Yelp
I love visiting any establishment in the Phebus area of Hampton, VA; such a laid-back, cool place to dine, wine, and enjoy the local establishments. Fuller's Raw Bar adds to that narative by highlighting one of the best things you can get in Hampton, seafood! Fuller's has been on my local bucket list of places to try for some time now, and glad I went. Located on right in Old Town Hampton, Hampton burst out as one of the local power-house of dinning cousine! Having nothing but fresh seafood which I would guess is brought in locally each morning. Giving you that fresh seasfood experience. The decor highlights is love for seafood, a marina style environment with that dive feel at the same time. Local specials are handwritten on the board over the bar., yes, they have a full bar serving any beer or cocktail you may like at a reasonable price. The food itself is amazingly fresh and served hot! The servers as well knowledable of the menu and I highly recommend their recommendation., but on this occassion, I was in the mood for some fish and chips. Fish was served hot and fresh living up to their name-sake! You can get a meal served with sides of your choice or if you are in the mode for a burger, you can get that too. Fresh fish, oystrers - which is really what this place highlights themselves on. TV monitors are positioned all around the restaurant that you can see you favorite sporting event. If that is not your thing, come on by anyway just to have a good time. You can sit inside and I believe you can sit outside when the weather is warmer. I can't imagind just how busy this place will get in the summer time so call and check ahead before coming and see what the wait is like. Clean establishment, fast service, nice menu selection, and comfortable seating but on a busy summer night, I can imagine the wait would be a little heavy. Go during the week if you want to feel the experience. Highly recommended. Hope to see you there cause I will be back. Happy Yelping!

Yelp
I was a little hungry around 7pm. Conveniently fullers happened to be right next door. I entered the facility and my attention was drawn to the fried chicken sandwich. OH MY GOD. It was so good. I have no words. Imagine heaven in your mouth. I physically drooled over this sandwich. . It was so good I dropped it on the ground out of excitement and picked it back up after 5 seconds and finished it. Yes, it was really that good.

Yelp
The food was great. The portion size could be better. I had the shrimp dinner. I left wanting more and still hungry! For the charged price, they should add a few more shrimp and fries. Hushpuppies would be nice as well.

Yelp
It's so good we went back to Hampton to eat there again. This place is a big hit with My Family. My daughter loves the fish and chips.
