Best Pizzas in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Durham’s beloved Fullsteam Brewery recently opened a second location in RTP’s Boxyard development, pouring the craft beers it’s famous for but also branching out into the world of pizza. Specifically, a square-style pie that is not quite Detroit-style, not quite Sicilian, but somewhere in between. The fluffy squares come in red-sauce flavors such as margherita, pepperoni, veggie, and the Skye Boat pizza — topped with Firsthand Foods sausage, roasted peppers, mozzarella, and onions. For white-sauce lovers, thre’st options like a Pestoroni (pesto and pepperoni), the C.B.R. (chicken, bacon, ranch), and the Forager pizza, which comes with mushrooms, garlic, caramelized onions, thyme, mozzarella, and parsley." - Matt Lardie

Great beer. Thin crust pizza is a godsend. It's perfectly crispy and full of flavor. So delicious, I'd definitely go back and get more pizza and beer. Reasonably priced and great to share, also comes out really fast. Can't go wrong.

PIZZA + BEER.......Turkey pesto & Cesar salad for starters The turkey pesto was good, but the bacon and bread was over cooked. Instead of it being arugula, it was spring mix salad in there the pesto must have been homemade due to it missing the smoke flavor from the nuts & basil flavor wasn't there at all but the color was. As for the Cesar salad hunny, the cheese needs to be fresh. The dressing was absolutely amazing, but it was over peppered but the lemon in there gave it an amazing zing they should definitely scale back in the pepper. They have glass bottle drinks, which are a plus! Everything is over priced they don't offer help to the elderly nor the handicap RPT UNCORKED......Amazing selection for us wine LOVERS. But the owner isn't that knowledgeable. She has to read the labels in order to know if it's dry, semi sweet, or sweet. But because I know wine and is a real connoisseur, I was disappointed. BUZZY BAKERY......OVERPRICED!!!!!!!!!!!! the lemon blueberry is my go-to, but this doesn't have the tartness of the lemon to balance out with the sweetness of the blueberries, plus the cupcakes are dry. Disappointed.

A great pizza place located at the Boxyard to enjoy in their large outdoor eating area. Amazing and fresh handmade square pizza. Super good crust and excellent way to serve on top of a grid so the crust does not get soggy. Another great little spot at the Boxyard to get some delicious pizza at. The pepperoni on the pizza is the best pepperoni I’ve had!

Recently visited Boxyard at 900 Park Offices Dr in Research Triangle Park, and it was a fantastic experience! The space has a great mix of eateries all in one block, along with live music that really sets the vibe. Our team spent time at Fullsteam, where they offer a wide variety of beers, and I particularly loved their Italian Pilsner. For my non-alcoholic friend, they had standout options that made the experience enjoyable for everyone. The food options were just as impressive, especially the pizza selection. My personal favorite was the mushroom pizza – it was absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a fun, laid-back spot to hang out with friends or have a team outing, I highly recommend Boxyard. Our team had a blast, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The restaurant was clean. Great customer service. Variety of drinks, alcohol & nonalcoholic. The salads are good but the pizza is flavorless. Big disappointment. It was like eating melting cheese on toasted cardboard. 2 bites and I was done. The sauce was very bland. It looked so good but tasted ugh. It was 3 in my party, none of us cared for it. It was a 60-90 minute wait Saturday so I drove back during the week, just to try the pizza. I wasted 30 minutes driving there and another 30 minutes home.

Excellent addition to Boxyard. The beer from Fullsteam is always excellent. The pizza at this location was delicious. Similar to, but not quite Detroit-style, served with a very thick crust in a square pan. The covered outdoor seating makes for a pleasant atmosphere.

Very late lunch after a day of running errands. This pizza (ok so I like red pepper flakes) and a beer hit the spot! (Pizza was so simple with mushrooms & caramelized onions, but so fresh, so good!)
