Fun Dungeon

This is probably the best arcade in the MGM Resort collection! It has a carnival feel to it, but our family had a lot of fun playing! Yes, you'll burn through card tokens quickly due to having so much fun, but that's just the risk of going to an arcade. Honestly, the risk of going to Vegas, either losing money in the casino or the arcade. Ha. Go and have some fun with your family!

I’m glad we went to circus circus midway first because this area was overpriced, machines were defective, scores and tickets show differently than what is added to the card. Card fee is double that of CC. Games were in poor condition and it lacked service in most areas. The prizes area is weak and you cannot get much of anything for the ticket amount. Especially compared to the options at CC. Please save your money and your kids patience. Only highlight was the $3 margaritas on the way in to the hotel.

Very cool arcade ! Large selection of games and an atmosphere that's a lot of fun. Be warned it's easy to spend a lot here. Gets a when the tournament of kings is starting and ending as the line up goes through the whole arcade. Overall a great gaming experience that kids and adults will love. DQ Is conveniently located at the bottom of the stairs as well as the tournament of kings. The arcade uses a reloadable card for $1 that you get at an atm in the arcade.

Very sad experience, absolutely empty again! And this place will stay that way unless they lower their prices. A kids claw game is $5, and you don't get any bonus points or credit for purchasing $100. This place is not recommended at all. You will spend a lot of money on absolutely nothing here. You're better off going to buy the mer h from places on the strip than trying your luck on a game. This is literally kids gambling with their prices. You're not winning much but paying a lot. Just another way for the casino to make money off you (your children), do me a favor and yourself and go to Curcus circus instead, eventhough they shrunk it it's still economically better for you and your kids

They have a good selection of games. We came here first week of February (Saturday) and it seemed like they were so under staffed. A lot of booths didn't have nobody so we couldn't play them. Less star because credits are very expensive. We easily spent $100 for not a long time of play. And in the end we had 1200 tickets and kids got very tiny frog toy and stickers. Kids had fun though so it was a good day ❤

The pros: best arcade selection we saw in the surrounding area The cons: So expensive! There's no signage posted showing the conversion from $$ to credits. It's 10 cents a credit, so $10 gets you 100 credits. Games cost 20-60 credits, with most at 25 (equating to $2.50/play).

Meh. The cash to tokens seems not worth it. We did $30 card and burned through it within half an hour. Staff was quick to run and set up games that required attendant. It would be cool if it was more themed, like prizes being dragons or knights. Oh and the 1 air hockey board stinks as it doesn't blow air in the middle of the board!

If you're staying at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas, make sure you check out the Fun Dungeon, or even if you aren't staying there and just want to check it out. We were lucky enough to have this arcade right in our hotel, which was a lifesaver for our two teens. This place is massive and offers an incredible mix of games and attractions that's bound to please both kids and adults. Comparing it to what we have back home in Hawaii, it's like a supercharged version of the 50th State Fair combined with the excitement of tDave & Buster's--but with even more bang for your buck. We gave the kids $100, and they were entertained for over 2 hours, which felt like a real steal given the variety of games and activities available. The Fun Dungeon was never overcrowded, so we didn't have to wait around to play, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even went above and beyond by giving extra chances on games if you missed the prize, awesome customer service! The place was spotlessly clean and had extended hours until midnight on weekends, which was perfect for late-night fun. Overall, this arcade was one of the highlight of our trip because it helped to keep the kids entertained in an adult atmosphere and an awesome way for our family to bond.

We decided to check out Excalibur's arcade on our way back to our hotel from Hoover Dam since it's on the way. It's our first time visiting the Fun Dungeon so we didn't really know what to expect. The games on average cost at least twice as much as Circus Circus (also new cards cost $2 instead of $1), so our credits were used up extremely quickly. There were many games that required staff assistance but they were understaffed, so we spent quite a lot of time standing around while waiting for someone to start the game. We were not impressed - will be skipping this place & going to Circus Circus in the future!

This arcade has a lotnof kiddie games and is a bit underwhelming. They have the punching machine. My husband and kids always do that. It smells in this arcade, but so does the casino. It reminds me of circus circus old school. Just not very impressive. Lol!

SCAM ALERT: They "limit" what kids can earn (tickets) on the machines to turn into prize counter. As the parents who decide where we go and what we spend our money on...you think you are saving some money by ripping off the kids? Well guess what? You just lost all our future business. Think about this...we went to the Tournament of Kings dinner and spent $500 then $150 at the arcade and they CAP how many tickets you can make on machines...it happened to us TWICE. Our son had gotten a bonus of a 1,000 tickets along with his normal play on that machine it EXCLUDED 280 tickets from his winnings because they max out what they can win and then you DON'T get the rest......the people next to us lost 720 tickets... So my kids literally lost over 500 tickets on two different machines because of this SCAMMY casino arcade IN A PROPERTY that is raking in millions per day. They want to take away the kids ability to get PENNIES worth of stuff from the prize counter? GET REAL!

I suppose if you're on the Vegas strip, it is to be expected that things aren't going to be reasonably priced. Unfortunately, Fun Dungeon was the definition of expensive and honestly, not all that fun. When comparing to the Pinball HoF and Circus Circus, this lands on the bottom of the list. We had gone in the afternoon on a weekday & it was pretty empty. They require you to buy a card which can be reloaded with credits to play games. As mentioned, games are pretty expensive, and it was difficult to score points for tickets even as adults. As with all things, since this is on the strip at Excalibur, it is easy to get to. May or may not be back.

" Like a baseball field, wanna hit a home run " says R. Kelly Had an early dinner with one of my Vegas friends and we decided to check out the arcade while passing through the Excalibur . I don't think this arcade has been maintained since it opened in the 80's, but it still brought back fun memories from my childhood. This arcade has tons of carnival games, prizes & is home to the Tournament Of Kings show. None of the games takes quarters or cash. You need to go to the game card kiosk and get a prepaid card. Do not take these games lightly. I think I ended up losing more money down here than upstairs at the casino. I was on a mission to win my friend a stuffed animal. Of course little Timmy decides to steal my thunder and beat me at the game where you roll the ball into the colored Circles which moves the horses depending on the color you make it in. Strike one. Off to the next game. I tried the water gun where you hit the bullseye to move the ship up. This time some kid (Dylan I think) got first place. Someone get these kids out of here. WTH! My last chance was the basketball game. All I needed was three in a row. Bingo! I did it . In only took me 11 chances and $36 dollars but I got the stuffed animal and she was happy. There is also a DQ down here with a comfortable seating area . All in all it's a great place to keep the kiddos busy for a couple hours, and even us big kids who need a break from the casino floor.

First time at the Excalibur arcade with my 2.5 year old. She loved playing the games where you pay for a bucket of ping pong balls to throw into the white or colored dishes to win a plushie. There was also a racing car game where she could fit into the seat and play on her own. There are a couple ride on rides similar to Chuck E. Cheese. There's not a whole lot for the toddler to do, but my baby took her time on the things she could do. The staff that day was super friendly and made the experience that much better. We usually just go to circus circus but so glad to have found out this place exists! Would def recommend to stop by if you have a toddler

The management assured me that much of my issues with a $50 card not having enough value nay have been related to the outages. So we tried it again and this time, $50 lasted an hour which is a good average for the Las Vegas Strip. The kids had a great time and the game selection was very enjoyable. Special thanks to Francheska and Shawn for inviting us back after the issue with the outages

Nowhere is it stated that games have ticket caps on them, limits for how many tickets you can win off a game. My son had been playing the starters game working on getting enough things he needed to collect to win the bonus. He won!!! And should have got 1000 tickets, but the limit was reached leaving 300sometickets "unclaimed". For such crappy cheap prizes and how expensive their games are, why do they have to cap tickets? We just spent almost $500 on the knights show/dinner, and buy way over priced stuff through the hotel chain......but the arcade for kids is where they are going to be stingy! Wow. Literally taking candy from kids because they won't get enough tickets for a tootsie pop, ridiculous. Also the claw machines are awful, we won a box that was empty and all the other boxes only have 25 tickets in them if you do get one that is filled. (Tootsie pop was 65 tickets for the record). The girl at the ticket counter was sweet, the guy however was not.

Don't waste your money on the claw machines. Very shady to take people's money and have the stuffed animals fall through the claw every single time. Guaranty you can play 20x and not win once.

Fun Dungeon is a huge carnival arcade located inside Excalibur Hotel. They offer tons of games to play but to redeem a prize is very scarce. There isn't much good selection to choose from. The only highlight was someone giving me a cool teddy bear which was pretty nice.

This is extremely expensive compared to other arcades, like Circus Circus or Game Nest. It cost me a dollar more for most games compared to Circus Circus, and it's not as big. I would probably use this if I didn't have a car during my trip. Adding a star because when the card malfunctioned, the employee was nice and got our credits back on our card.

You have kids with you? Want to have fun? Brought enough money to burn? Want chili dogs and desserts all in one? Want to have dinner and a show? If you have at least 1 yes to the above, this is a place for you to bring your family! Prices went upppp! I mean just in general. A lot of the games cost 1-5 dollars depending on what you play. So $50-100 bucks go pretty fast honestly. I choose to gamble less and spend the money on my family so I really didn't care if I refilled their cards. Just want the family to have some fun while we are out!

A nice alternative for the younger crowd in Vegas that is a mix of carnival style games, claw machines, and arcade games in one place. This is downstairs from the main floor at Excalibur and can be accessed via stairs or an escalator depending where you enter from. The game prices have gone up over the years and start around $1 for the simplest games and go up from there. A nice variety with something to suit all ages. The carnival game selection is not as large as circus circus, though offers a less crowded, more relaxed atmosphere. The game attendants sometimes have to work multiple booths so give them a bit of patience if you want to play a carnival game. The prizes are a bit smaller than circus circus large prizes, though offer a good variety. Enjoy this respite from the adult playground upstairs, for kids of all ages, young and old.

The games are definitely outdated, many are out of order, it's a bit dingy, the employees look like they are being forced to work, it is overpriced and tricky how it works, the prizes are terrible BUT my 7 year old daughter had a blast so that is worth something!

At $2 play and only 500 ticket jackpots and outdated prizes, this arcade is not worth APing. The prizes are old previous gen stuff and they will not offer a strong ticket value to offset the high $2 per game cost. Most games are 20 credits, 10 credits per $1, no bonus money, so it will be $2 per game. Last time my friend won a $400 signed baseball for 30k tickets, which is the only time playing at $2 game for 500 ticket jackpots might be profitable in the sense of winning a prize for less than retail. Reselling there is no guarantees if you will profit. But still very risky and still going to cost around $120 if you won every 500 ticket jackpot with no losing. If you lose you need to account a $2 loss. I understand most people only focus on fun. But be better be prepared to leave with a bunch of plastic spiders after blowing $20 when you could win 2000 tickets for a nice unlicensed plush at Dave and Busters for $20 if you won 100 tickets per $1 game which is possible if you try hard enough. Yes a lot of math but I am a 5 year arcade veteran who can make sense of arcade tickets and credits.

Back in the days (over 10 year ago) this was the place to play games in Vegas (name keeps changing ... Merlin's Arcade, Fun Dungeon, Excalibur Arcade, etc). Anyhow, it was better than Circus Circus and Boomer's and even the OC Fair. I still remember winning cool prizes to take home with the kids and trying to figure out how to fit them all in the car ride home. Prices was reasonable compared to the possible prizes I can get for the price. We even enjoyed Tournament of the Kings here with our friends. Unfortunately, we came with the kids after COVID in 2024. Most of the carnival games are gone. Maybe only 5 left, which only 1 was actually manned. We wanted to play the toss the block game but no one was there. The prizes were all very small and meh. The prices was over $2 per game. The arcade part was ok too. It's the typical racing game and win the tickets game. We easily spent $40 and walked away with nothing. We could have traded our tickets for a prize but we gave away our tickets after seeing the prizes and the long line to get them. If it wasn't for the air hockey table, we would not have even stayed to buy the card to play the games.

Expensive and pricing is deliberately opaque. Machines are getting up there in years and yes, many of them don't seem to work. The Dairy Queen is kinda nice but about 200% what a regular DQ costs. No Jungle Juice Mr. Misty Floats which is a missed opportunity IMHO.

The kids zone was ok. The 4D theater was great overall it was good. I had to take the kids to Vegas. So finding some kid friendly things to do in Vegas is a bit difficult. The Excalibur is in major need of an overhaul. Looks like the kids zone golden years were at least 15 years behind. Excalibur I think is a historical casino in my opinion and I hope MGM dont decide to sell or demolish it like others in the past. Circus Circus is another. The strip need a few kid friendly places for families. Hope MGM can tap into that market that was once the normal to have a family friendly environment and become a trend setter instead of following what the market or society is. MGM BE A LEADER !!!!! YOU SET THE STANDARD

I read online somewhere that the Fun Dungeon at Excalibur had more carnival games than Circus Circus and as a fan of carnival games I was excited to check it out. What a lie. They have maybe half the number of carnival games and almost none of them were staffed so I couldn't even try them out. Took a bit of a detour to visit this place so I was really bummed out.

Fun place for kids! It was packed Friday evening before the show. Plenty of games on the lower level of Excalibur. There's also restrooms in the lower level. Not many places take quarters anymore (cups available) and you get tickets to redeem for prizes. Tip- bring a bag to hold the tickets you earn. Only default is only two of the siz ticket redemption machines were working.

I really hate to give this place a bad review because we love arcades especially older ones but holy cow this place was so expensive! It wasn't nearly as big as they make it out to be. We spent $150 and we won so many tickets but my sons only had enough to get two packs of candy!?! Lame! Especially for kids. To make it worse there's flies buzzing around down there that were constantly attacking our faces. Then we went over to Orange Julius I got a small plain orange Julius and it was $10! and heavy on the ice!!

Pretty good arcade. Lots of games that are kid friendly. It is located in Excalibur and has an Orange Julius down there, as well. They have a good selection of prizes, for all ticket levels. The electronic card is not as fun an armfuls of tickets, but understandable when you would have refill so many machines and deal with quarters or tokens.

Much older style arcade. All the carnival style games were closed when we were there. It is still fun enough to take your kid to if in the area.

We had an awesome time here! Truly, the Fun Dungeon is fun for people of all ages. The games are relatively affordable, especially when considering that the Fun Dungeon is on The Strip. They do a great job of separating the arcade from the more adult Vegas activities by placing the arcade on its own enclosed level. And the gaming options were super varied and a ton of fun! Cannot wait to take my family back.

This was my favorite place to go as a kid and was excited to take my kids to experience the games. However, this place has turned into a complete mess. It pains me to even write this because I love Excalibur but they really need to make a change or close this place down. The games are ridiculously overpriced. They have one worker for every 3-4 carnival games so it's nearly impossible to even spend your money to play the games. You have to go flag down an employee each time you want to play a game. The prizes were a joke. Simple generic stuffed animals with no name recognition at all. Do yourself a favor, go to Circus Circus instead. Even though it's much older and the hotel is a step down from Excalibur, your kids will have a much better time and come home happy. They have workers at every game, the prices are better and it's at least 3-5x bigger than Excalibur.

Don't work for Fun Dungeon they treat employees like slaves. Next the check out System for prizes are very bad. You will be waiting in line for a long time to get a prize. The customer are being ripped off.

Very expensive. But that's not even the biggest gripe I have. The line at the end to redeem the points in exchange for prizes was insane. Took us nearly 30 minutes. Our kids were miserable, we were miserable, and that was how the visit ended.

The worse customer service I've ever experienced in my life !!!! My family and I are Vegas locals and we're having a nice family outing and decided to stop by for the first time ever to check this place out and my kids were loving this place until we notice non of these machines work and the people that work there always scream if they see your kid skipping saying they are running they get annoyed when you tell them there machines don't work and finally when I told the old lady in the front that my kid got her money stuck she said and I quote why would you put money again if it was stuck the first time you knew it didn't work and you did it again like I knew what I was doing and did it on purpose I was in shock and honestly really upset she was acting this way in front of my children! So rude and disgusting! We stopped spending our hard working money there we will never again go there ! Horrible never ho is not worth it!

The Fun Dungeon is exactly as it sounds -- it's a super fun arcade in the "dungeon" at the Excalibur! I live in Las Vegas and avoid the Strip but once in a while I like to go down and hit all the casino arcades (Circus Circus is the granddaddy of all arcades in town but the Fun Dungeon comes a close second). Here you'll find all the standard video games (Terminator, Ms. Pac Man, Guitar Hero, Star Wars, race car driving games, skeeball, and lots of old and new favorites). No matter what tickles your fancy, you'll find something you like to play. The absolutely greatest feature of the Fun Dungeon is the addition of classic carnival games! I love love love LOVE the games where you roll a ball into a hole and your "horse" or "dragon" or "viking ship" moves. The first one across the finish line wins a prize. Pro tip: try to get as many players to join in for $2 each and you get to play for the best and biggest prize possible! I'm pretty good at these games so I usually win a super cool prize (and then at the end of the night I'll give it to a kid in the arcade who is empty handed). Minus a star because all of the claw games cost at least $1.00 per play. That's just way too expensive for me. Add a star because there is a Dairy Queen right in the middle of the arcade. If you like to collect tickets for prizes, there are swell ticket counting machines that take the math out of the equation. Just feed your tickets into the machines and you'll get a receipt that lists the total number of tickets you earned. Save them up or take them over to the counter and redeem for worthless trinkets (uh, I mean SWEET PRIZES)! Don't worry if you don't have little ones in tow, my husband and I go here all the time and nobody ever bats an eye. A really fun diversion if you are sick of gambling on the Strip.

We had so much fun in the fun dungeon! This arcade takes me wayyyyy back to me in the 90s as a child. My kids had the most fun we came down here three times and won a lot of tickets! It was fun to pass time playing skeeball !!!

I had a good time here with my son. It's not as extensive as Circus Circus but it's good enough. The prizes are okay and not a big selection. If the kiddo had fun then I'm okay with it.

So I go here many times, this was for my June 2019 and December 2019 trips. So I take Tram 1 from Mandalay Bay 3 stops to Excalibur/The Park/New York New York Station. I walk using the moving walkway to excalibur and go down stairs at 10 AM to Fun Dungeon Arcade. So I went to the game I normal play where you put a lot of coins in and if you hit two Jackpots you get 1000 tickets. I got change at the Change Machines for $20. I realized that it was still out of order. I had come in December of 2018 and it was broken, but they still have not fixed it. What is going on? Update, I came back in December and 1 of the two sides are working. Then after that I go to play more win some prizes and cash in my tickets I get lots of tickets. I get the light up Las Vegas Sign. This arcade is great, I will continue to come as soon as I can.

Fun Dungeon is inside Excalibur Hotel. It is a dungeon because you have to go down the stairs. It's in the same area as King's Tournament theater. I find this place clean, smoke free, and staff are very helpful. It can get busy and chaotic but staff here are very patient especially prize redeeming area. Kudos to the staff! They have variety of arcade games to carnival games where you can win stuff animals. All the machines takes quarters. So you don't have to hassle with tokens.

When in Vegas... either visiting or as a local with kids Fun Dungeon should be on your list of things to do. Located in the basement of the Excalibur Hotel Casino The Fun Dungeon is fun for all ages. Many of the games are newer and interactive. They also have a few merchandiser games that offer some skill and challenge in order to win prizes. Most games will also dispense tickets for winning. These tickets can be used to get all kinds of over priced toys that you can just go and buy at the store for a few dollars. Overall this place is worth spending an afternoon and a few Jackson's to entertain the little ones in between the adults playing some table games or slots upstairs.

This place needs some updates. Went to Ultimate 4D- Experience at Excalibur and I can say, I would never go back. So you check in and you wait for one of the three short movies. Today it was Lego, Journey 2 and San Andreas. The movie last 15 minutes, you pick up these 3d glasses and adventure begins or not. When you sit down and the movie starts you get sprayed with water, fan blows at you so you can feel the wind, this plastic piece pocks you in the back that comes out of the chair. The small theater is not even dark because of the two open entrances/exits without doors. They need to take 4D out of its name. Secondly the Game Dungeon is filled by employees that don't wont to be there. They are so not friendly and waiting for the shift to be over. The ambiance sucks on a big level. The way they represent the Excalibur hotel its a shame. The game dungeon needs a major update they are still using change machine for quarters. Other places you swipe credit card or insert cash and the machine dispenses the plastic card easier and convenient then quarters. The scissor game for the reward has a small print on the bottom of the glass to explain how to play it, wow that is a rip off. The games cost one dollar to play. Also the place has that old building smell. I am never going back.

This place definitely needs a major upgrade, especially when compared to the nearby arcade at New York. Some of the games are so old they no longer work properly. The day we went the place had a stale, old smell. Positives: the name is cool, they have carnival games; the games give out paper tickets (my kid likes those), you feed a ticket eater, get a receipt and claim your prize Negatives: the games give out tickets (others give out ePoints on your game card), cash only for carnival games, the smell

Great dungeon for the littles while the elders are gambling. Also an excellent place for us adults who do not gamble. Wide variety of games: coin pushing, whack a mole, equestrian races, you name it. 4 of us only spent $30 total for a couple hours of fun. Look at my large amount of tickets. Good range of prizes to choose from. Super cute plastic rings, candy, tiaras, novelty items. Lots of fun.

I feel this place is UNSAFE at the moment. A great place to spend time with kids like in other reviews. But, I can't give the 2 more stars because they did not care about COVID Safety. The hand sanitizer near DQ counter is empty. With the 3 hours we spent there, I did not see anybody cleaning the arcade machines especially given that they are repeatedly touched by children. No sanitizer within 10 feet of any games. Being a indoor and very closed space without vents of fresh air, they need to come up with frequent sanitizing of the machines. At least spray and wipe on the handles, jockeys, steering wheels and parts where people handle the machine, would be good enough protection to call this a SAFE PLACE.

Guest comes here to spend money to have fun with their kids, yall are closing at 10pm but shutting down the card reloader and more than half of the game area close before 10pm. So you mean you dont want our business?all machines were literally shut off 5minutes before 10pm. Such a shame.

Brutal arcade. The games are decent but they are way overpriced and you get little to no tickets. We spent $100 and walked away with 30 mini tootsie rolls and a rubber ducky the size of a quarter. The arcade across the street at New York New York is way better.

Great selection of classic address arcade and carnival games. Great for adults and kids. Very friendly staff, and safe with an security officer present. Great place to kill time. Side note: avoid the booth near the stairwells, hungry timeshare hyenas are on the lookout for people going to the arcade (they target families) DON'T DO IT!

One of the great things about this attraction is that during covid they're sticking to their posted despite slow foot traffic. I mention this because other kid friendly attractions aren't sticking to their posted hours of operation. An understandable downside is only half the fun zone is open. Regardless there's plenty to keep busy for roughly 2 hours. The arcade games aren't totally over priced with as low as a quarter. The ticket prizes however even with a broad assortment are valued slightly on the high side. In all I had a blast with my 2 kids. We were there for 2 hours and went home with 4-5 prizes and all smiles.

It is very fun for kids ans afukts alike. The challenge is the pricing. Each fame is very expenisbe; therefore you have yo budget wisely.

Admittedly a bit of a cringeworthy name for an area designed to be family friendly!! Also the fact that they still use quarters is maybe a little dated. HOWEVER. $20 worth of quarters had these babymooners laughing and playing and grinning ear to ear for over an hour! We had highs and lows with Deal or No Deal (hit a 150 ticket jackpot!), proved I'm way better at skee ball than pretend quarterbacking, and each won a game of air hockey*. I'd rather do this than gamble anytime! *My win was disputed by my husband

My kids love coming here and this always gets me for the most money in Vegas. I never realize how much that stupid minion stuffed animal will cost me when the baby sets his sights on it. I just say okay and keep handing over the cash. Don't get me wrong it is fun and well worth the money because your kids can win the prizes that they want. You just need to be the tough mommy. I am not. I like so see my boys happy and I enjoy having my turn at the games too. The game attendants are pretty nice. They help the kids and will let the little kids get on the counter so they can reach to play. I've never had a bad experience here. It gets crazy busy on the weekend nights. Tons of family's and even older people who are tired of gambling come down here to play. The ticket counter has so cool stuff too.

Fun dungeon used to be my go to place in Vegas. Well working NEW games that wasn't over priced, friendly people, great redemption prices that wasn't overpriced. Now overpriced games that don't work, Overpriced horrible redemption prizes. I had put $20 on my card which gave me 100 credits. One game of skee ball just 1 GAME!!
