I can’t put into words just how amazing it was to have fundamental cater our wedding. It’s been 2 weeks and we still have people reaching out to us to tell us how much they loved the short rib that was served. From when we first inquired to the night of our wedding fundamental was nothing short of amazing. Lauren was super responsive with every single email we sent and even accommodated us for items that weren’t on the menu. Not only was the food amazing, but their catering staff was so professional and polite. We especially loved Aimee, who was like a personal attendant for me and my wife. Without her we for sure would not have been as well fed. She made sure to save us appetizers while we were taking photos and always had a drink in hand for us. We were at a venue without a kitchen and their build out and the staff who were manning it were such a pleasure to work with. I could go on and on about how much they are a pleasure to work with and how delicious their food is but I think I’d run out of space in this review. I highly recommend fundamental for anyone who has an upcoming event and I hope to work with them more in the future. Thank you Lauren and than you Aimee, you made sure our wedding was amazing 🫶🏽

Fantastic experience with Fundamental as our caterer for our August outdoor wedding in Los Angeles. They provided excellent service across the tasting / menu selection, dietary restrictions for guests, food quality, presentation, service, and logistics. Our wedding was at the Adamson House in Malibu which is a somewhat logistically challenging venue for vendors, and Fundamental rolled with the punches of the demands of the venue which made our lives much easier. The tasting was fun and the quality of the food made it really hard to choose what to select for our menu. On the day of our wedding, their staff maintained a great balance of coverage and professionalism without being disruptive of the event. The food was fantastic in taste and presentation, and our guests raved. Thank you Fundamental!

I booked fundamental for my wedding and it was the best decision I could have made! We had a great experience doing a tasting, which helped us create the perfect buffet style menu. They kept me organized throughout the planning process and were excellent communicators. The service throughout the wedding was above and beyond my expectations, we were surprised and delighted with every thoughtful detail. They provided a dedicated server for us as the wedding couple, who brought us our signature drinks right after the service and even packed us a dessert box at the end. Everyone that attended told us that the food was great, and the drinks were visually stunning and expertly made.

We chose Fundamental after a bad experience with another catering company, their tasting was disappointing, we got our deposit back, and we had to scramble to find someone new. When we reached out to Fundamental, Lauren replied right away and was immediately helpful. We set up a tasting based on what we were looking for, and when we arrived, the presentation and attention to detail stood out immediately. It was a private tasting, and they started us with cornbread and honey butter that wasn’t even on our original menu. After trying it, we knew it had to be part of the wedding dinner. Every dish they served was genuinely delicious and felt like something from a high-quality restaurant. We left the tasting feeling confident we had made the right choice. On the wedding day, the buffet looked great, and so many guests commented on how good the food was. A few even asked what was in the cornbread so they could try making it themselves. The service was excellent as well, and our main server was friendly and professional all night. The Fundamental Events team is AMAZING! Lauren was so helpful and very organized from the beginning - quote, food tasting, and to wedding execution. And to top it off, their food is sooo good! We were amazed by how smooth everything went at our wedding and the Fundamental staff was also great! They were super friendly, and Lynn, was our dedicated staff for the night and always checked on us if we needed anything! Highly recommend.

We chose to go with fundamental for our wedding catering needs and they did not disappoint. The food was the best we had at any wedding. So many of our guests kept giving us compliments all throughout the weekend about the food! Communicating with Lauren was a breeze and she was flexible and accommodating with all our requests. Day-of service was also top notch! Shout out to Jane for always taking care of us (groom & bride) by making sure we were always fed (and then some!). 11/10 would recommend ⭐️

We were lucky enough to choose Fundamental to cater our wedding this past weekend. Cindy was an enormous help in making sure our special day was that much more special. Wedding food can be hit or miss, but all of our guests were raving about how good the food was. The cornbread madelines and the shawerma seabass were HUGE hits with our guests, along with the banh mi sliders for the app service. Their staff was so attentive and did an amazing job making sure my wife and I had the best time possible. I would recommend their catering services to anyone trying to throw a wedding or any type of event. The whole operation is top-notch! Thank you so much Cindy for making our day incredible!

I hired fundamental for a 40 person lunch in Santa Monica and they were start-to-finish, incredible to work with! Lauren was always very quick to respond, very professional and accommodating to all of my non-profit's needs. The day of the event, their server Jeff arrived right on time. He was patient and understanding as our panel ran over time- even setting up the lunch spread as quietly and slowly as he possibly could so as not to disrupt the event. And of course, the food was DELICIOUS. My vegetarian crew was especially impressed with their options for lunch so it was an all around success. I can't recommend this team enough!
