Funky Sol Coffee

Really cool new spot on South Lamar. Owner's name is Gavin. You could tell this is a passion of his to bring a great food and beverage experience to Austin. This morning I had a nice coffee and egg bites. Both were absolutely delicious. I also really like the hangout zone in front of the Airstream. They've got shade, plenty of places to sit, nice music, so it's a cool place to come and hang out.

Love trying new coffee spots on Sundays and this one was Amazing! Tried “The Dude”, a chocolate infused cold brew topped with macadamia nut cold foam and pink sea salt. Perfect balance of sweet/boldness. One of the best drinks I’ve had in a while, will be back!

The best coffee truck experience I've ever had in Austin. They have a fun and unique selection. But I measure a coffee spot by the espresso they pull, and this place pulled a perfect shot. We also had their matcha special (The Green Machine, I think), and it was delicious. Wife had a drip, which she approved of. The food is on point too. Had egg bites and their Walnut Banana Bread, which came with a side of cinnamon butter. 🤌

I love trying new coffee spots in Austin and this is one of the most unique I’ve been to in a while! Great little patio with really cute merch. Super nice staff. Their signature drinks are fun combos that I haven’t seen anywhere else and every single one I’ve tried has been delicious. My dog loves it too because he got a next-level pup cup. Highly recommend if you’re looking for coffee in South Austin.

Nothing Funky about Gavin and his airstream. He is a really really good dude and has top notch service and coffee. The guy’s work ethic is second to none as he did most of the work on the airstream to get it online. Ask him about it. Convo is super easy with him. He is the man and Funky Sol will be a frequent spot for me.

Finally, a place to caffeinate and play pickleball! Funky Sol offers delicious, creative drinks like The Kook and The Dude. Laid back atmosphere, the owners is a sweet 20 something who is living his dream, what’s not to love??!! There’s plenty of parking in the morning, shade and misters if you’re worried about the summer heat. I can’t wait to go back and try the other coffee specials!!!!

Great spot to get your caffeine fix! I consider myself a coffee connoisseur at this point, and this place definitely hits the mark. I mess with the laid back vibe, and the “funky” straws are a clever idea. I recommend the Dirty Chai!

Such a cute, tucked away spot complete with fans and misters so you stay cool in the summer heat. The trailer itself is adorable, and they’ve got the best merch. The baristas are full of energy and make you feel instantly welcome. Drinks are a mix of fun coffees, amazing matcha, and creative combos that make you want to come back just to try them all. There’s even a pickleball court next to it that you can reserve online (paddles and balls provided!) plus other games.

Love love love this coffee + vibes + owner! Austin TX got a gem of a business and definitely would try out "the DUDE" if that's still on the menu! 10/10 would recommend to anyone local and say hi to the owner, he's super friendly!
