Beautiful coffee in also amazing location! There are free books to read and consult and the staff is great and kind. Service very very fast and prices normal. Seat available for work in the central of the ambient with sockets for about 10 people, also there are comfortable arm chairs. Awesome place outside!

Google
A decent cup of coffee, but nothing extraordinary. However this is in the lobby of the Virgin Hotel that has unique decor and a fun atmosphere. It was very busy on the weekend.

Very vibes place - cool people working and chill environment. Have a good variety of coffee and not coffee but still caffeine as well as snacks. 10/10 would come again. I got an iced caramel latte with almond milk. There are only once size for iced drinks and 2 sizes large or small for hot. My friend got a snow day which is white mocha something. She said she “hate(s) coffee but this one is okay”

I love coming here! The hotel lobby vibe is always a great change of pace. Everyday is something different at this cafe. Their unique flavours are always exciting to try. Great place to work if you don't mind background activity

Google
Funny Library is a staple for me - I shared this spot with so many friends and they absolutely love it! The hospitality is truly unmatched, coffee is unbelievable, and it's a great spot to network. The baristas have become good friends and it truly makes my day when I see them! The thoughtfulness and care they show towards their customers is incredible. So grateful for all they do - truly some of the hardest working people with the biggest hearts. Exclusively will drink iced vanilla lattes as long as these queens are making it!

Very fresh atmosphere. High ceiling with a big windows makes the place very spacious. Perfect place for remote workers, students or readers. They have many board games as well.

Located inside Virgin Hotel, this cozy coffee spot has indoor and outdoor seating. Grab a bite to eat and some coffee to start your day. They have dairy free options available and make a great latte.

The atmosphere was cute ! There were some board games. I saw several students were studying at the cafe. I ordered chai with oats milk. You can customize your coffee if you want.

Yelp
I can't recall a hotel lobby coffee shop that is spectacular as this one is. I stayed at the Virgin during December and the entire area is all decked out in Mariah Carey glory, so working here is going to be a festive experience. That said, it's entirely conducive to getting things done, depending on your concentration level (and need for quiet, say, if you're on important calls). The space is large and there's plenty of places to sit. There's a communal working space but also spots for a more relaxed vibe and conversation. The coffee is strong and good (La Colombe). I had the perfect oat cappuccino but they have a chalkboard menu of enticing sweet seasonal concoctions (I love the idea of a raspberry cardamom latte). I didn't get to check out any of the food options but they have a variety of baked goods and snacks. I really like the Virgin business model and aesthetic.

Yelp
Really good coffee for a hotel. It can get busy as it's a small counter but worth it. It would be a great place to work remotely for the day. The space is beautiful and the patio is so fun.

Yelp
The Funny Library Coffee Shop offers a great selection of very good coffees that are definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a nice spot to relax or work. However, the service could use some improvement to enhance the overall experience.

Yelp
Great location with a lot of beautiful moments inside the hotel. The service was okay as was the food and coffee. It has potential but is missing something special to make the first sip stay on your mind. I'll try it again and give it another chance next time I'm in Nashville.

Yelp
Coffee was good to me! Since this was my first time here I usually default to a seasonal menu to test a place out. I ordered the white chocolate macadamia with oat milk. It was good! It was warm and cozy. My husband ordered the salted maple cinnamon (iced). Service could have been a bit more friendly, I felt the barista gave us the bare minimum interaction from what I am used to at coffeeshops. The outdoor patio is great to hang out on and read plus it's dog friendly!

Yelp
Very cute and interactive coffee shop!! I get my lot pf work done here!! Food and service is good too!!

Yelp
I'm so glad we found this quirky little spot! It would be such a good spot to get work done. It's on the bottom of the Virgin Hotel. The atmosphere inside is super cozy and eclectic. They have creative seasonal drinks and lots of food available as well. The matcha latte was bright and creamy. It does not come sweetened, but they can add syrups if you want. I really enjoyed sitting inside and sipping my drink while appreciating the vibes!

Yelp
We visited this place because it was close to our hotel. The decor is stunning, with tall ceilings and a setup that feels straight out of a storybook. The lobby, which includes the Commons Club, breakfast station, and a library, doubles as the hotel's reception area. True to its name, the Funny Library! The staff was super friendly, and our dishes came out quickly, filling the air with delightful aromas. They also offer lunch in the afternoon. This charming, well-decorated library and café is a great spot for a meal, coffee, reading a book, or even clubbing at their social events. You might find yourself tempted to stay the night at the hotel!

Yelp
Stopped by here randomly to get some work done to get out of my apartment - highly recommend if you are in the general area. This place had plenty of space to work from, outlets all over the place, and considering it is nestled inside of a hotel a great variety of drinks and bites to keep you powered through the day. I went with a standard drip coffee, and the person I was with got their matcha latte. The barista was fast and the drinks were great (free refills on coffee). Vibes in here are perfect for a quiet working day, but definitely not boring. If you need to take a break they have a few tabletop games, and tons of unique books to scroll through (there was one that went through in incredible details facts about superheroes - you should pick it up to figure out once and for all who is faster between the flash and superman).

Yelp
I went to work from here for an hour and ended up staying the whole morning. Great vibes! Such a charming, modern and eclectic place with a bunch of interesting art! The coffee is cheap and has free refills. Really makes for the perfect place to work from. They have different styles of seating, including a large table that has outlets installed on top of it. There are also a few games you can grab to play and a variety of interesting and fun books.

Yelp
Ashley is the nicest, most hardworking barista I've seen. She handles long lines with grace and professionalism. Give this person a raise!

Yelp
I got an iced latte and it was very good. This place is colorful and has great WiFi--perfect spot to work. It is a little loud, so may not be good for zooms.

Yelp
This was such a fun & quirky coffee shop to visit. It's tied to a hotel & they have a full food menu & seasonal coffee menu available in addition to their regular coffee menu. The inside is structured like a colorful library with books scattered around, various types of seating, tables, desks, etc., perfect for studying or to get some work done. Very nicely decorated & fairly quiet inside like you'd expect a library to be. I decided not to take any interior photos out of respect for the people there getting work done, but they also have plenty of outside seating which is great for meetings or to catch up with friends. We got the seasonal black sesame latte & the rose honey lavender latte & honestly we thought they were really good. I'm not much of a coffee expert but my wife is & she enjoyed both of them. The flavorings were well balanced. Subtle enough as to not overpower the coffee, but strong enough where you could taste them with each sip. Overall, fun little local local coffee shop to hang out or get some work done if you're in the area (& can find street parking).

Yelp
So I needed to find a place to meet my friend near my next appointment so this seemed like a good fit. Right at the start parking is difficult. They do have valet parking for the hotel so you can use it Or you can try to find a nearby street parking spot. There is a garage near by too. You can come in through their main doors or you can come through the hotel's doors. When you 1st come in you'll see the ordering counter and a very different decor. Books and art all around. They have plenty of seating. Grab a books and stay. I order their caramel latte and their breakfast sandwich plus a side of avocado. The coffee was good but it was half foam half distance which it made it lacking. I get the foam for when it served on the "for here" cups but to go cups get a lid and well, pointless. The service was blah. I didn't get welcomed or greeted when I walked in. When I reached the counter the girl wasn't rube just indifferent. Overall it's an ok place.

Yelp
The barista was the sweetest girl ever, coffee was good (I got an iced caramel latte extra caramel) no food. Unfortunately I had to leave but the place itself is so relaxing and calm, would love to sit inside one day.

Yelp
Came here the other day because some friends were in the area and absolutely LOVED my mocha so I had to write a review. The barista honestly went above and beyond to make sure we all loved our drinks & the lobby that this coffee shop sits in is beautiful. Lots of fun nooks, cute seating, cool art books, and art on the walls. They also have some really fun holiday drink specials rn!

Yelp
Very cool decor. Have chai and matcha latte. Safe for non coffee drinkers. Nice and spaced out. It doesn't feel crammed.

Yelp
Really cool, relaxing atmosphere. Great place to get some work done. Friendly staff and great coffee.

Yelp
This is such a cool and unique coffee shop! I came here during my trip to Nashville to get some work done and was able to get a table easily. The coffee shop itself is very open and located inside the Virgin Hotels. I spent hours doing work here and got to try the breakfast sandwich, chicken caesar wrap, vanilla latte, and a seasonal rose lavender latte. I really enjoyed both of the food options I got but thought that the coffee wasn't the greatest. The vanilla latte was fine but I was not a fan of the lavender latte. The coffee and food are also super pricey, I think I ended up spending almost $19 on a coffee and breakfast sandwich, which seemed way too much in my opinion. However, the vibe of this place made up for it with the cool seating, books, and art so I would still come check it out!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop on Broadway. Really good lattes. I went on a Saturday morning it wasn't too busy.

Yelp
Probably one of the best hotel lobby coffee shops I've been to, next to the Pointdexter in the Graduate hotel. Located inside the Virgin Hotel in the Music Row neighborhood, this coffee shop offers a ton of space to spread out and get some work done. Couches, long conference tables and a stellar outdoor patio. The wifi here is very strong and so are the iced coffees! They do have a full breakfast menu with a few egg focused breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and avo toast. I only sampled coffee while I was here, but the couple next to me got the sandwich and it was huge! I really loved the decor here and it was very quiet considering you're right next to the hotel check-in stand. Parking was easy with plenty of free street parking available. They do offer valet, but it's not free! Make sure to check out the second floor outdoor patio!

Yelp
Fun, good, and the Nashville vibe! Had a great coffee and sandwich. In a hotel, but great place to visit and come for some food and drinks.

Yelp
TLDR: this place is great! I needed a place to work remotely while on a trip and this place was perfect- comfortable chairs, lots of charging ports, great coffee and lunch items, and the customer service was off the charts fantastic. If I lived local I would come here on my wfh days. Plus, the books were so cute and interesting- I had so much fun taking breaks to look through them. Thank you so much Funny Library!

Yelp
Super cool vibe makes for a great spot to hang out with a good coffee, located in the lobby of the Virgin Hotel Nashville. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the coffee is very good. They also have some pastry, snack, and light meal options. I enjoy coming here when I need to get some work done with my laptop. The decor is something of a library with a variety of music-related decorations, and good music always playing (but not too loud). I had the Cuban Sandwich, not expecting much because this is a coffee shop in a hotel. But it was good! The bread is a little sweet, I think Hawaiian Bread, which I really like. The Zippo's chips that are a side option are really good too. They do tend to run out of some food items by around noon. And they're only open until 2pm. But this is still a great place to hang out in the morning for working or meeting up with friends or colleagues. And if you somehow get bored, there are lots of amusing and interesting books to peruse!

Derek M.

Yelp
The baristas were so sweet and the coffee is awesome! Perfect place to stop by for coffee downtown!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
This place was awesome! If you are wanting to work somewhere, this is the place to be. It is a little busy so if you get distracted easily, there's some spots in the back that aren't as distracting. The Vanilla Latte is very delicious as well as the fruit bowl! The fruit bowl was massive and fresh! They have breakfast until 11 and then lunch starts at 11. It was trendy and the music playing was at the perfect level to listen and still be able to focus! I love this place and will be back!

Yelp
Located in Virgin Hotel in Music Square, you might find yourself feeling like an extra in a movie about an up and coming singer who just signed a deal at Sony Records. There's plenty of important business people coming in and out of the hotel, grabbing coffee. Besides the gorgeous interior design, La Colombe coffee drew me here. Unfortunately, my latte was made during rush hour and tasted awful. The barista wasn't very friendly. (Update - the barista with the long blonde hair was friendly when I ordered a second drink later!) If this coffee shop were free standing, I'd probably be more impressed by the architecture and design, but it's pretty standard for a hotel coffee shop. I parked about a half mile away since valet was the only option. Luckily, it's in a good area so I didn't mind walking at all. Overall, this place is nice to look at and a good space to work remotely in for creatives (the wifi is great).

Ethan R.

Yelp
I was here several hours getting work done -- great spot, and I'll be back. Good ambiance, definitely has a "library" vibe with fun decor. Located in the lobby of Virgin hotel in Midtown. Tall ceilings, fun decor, couches to sit on, a long (communal) table to sit at, various small tables around.
google avatar

Russ W.

Yelp
We walked here from another hotel. I created my own latte. My wife got one of their seasonal drinks. We enjoyed both of them

Yelp
This coffee shop is located in a hotel lobby. I would describe Funny Library Coffee Shop as warm, cozy, welcoming. Games are available to play. I would definitely return.
google avatar

Christie B.

Yelp
Setting is adorable. Staff is friendly. The actually coffee making space is quite quaint, regular coffees are self serve! It is in a hotel. I ordered a hot chocolate and she asked if I wanted whip cream or not which was great to hear, also tasty. The avocado toast was ordered by many and looked yummy. Only two baristas on the Sunday after Christmas, be ready to wait if you do select this cutsy spot!
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
My absolute go-to work from home/study spot in Nashville. Such a "quirky-modern" aesthetic with the most amazing long table for working/connecting + a huge patio space with umbrella tables. One added perk about this spot is the artists and song writers in the music row area frequent this spot. Best part is that you can easily transition from coffee to cocktails after hours at the lobby bar ;)
google avatar

Christine O.

Yelp
Great place to hand out in cool, relaxing art inspired deco in Virgin hotel. Right in music row, free street parking down the street which made this great place to park and stroll around after tea or coffee. Outdoor or indoor seating.
google avatar

Rosko L.

Yelp
They place is so beautiful inside. So much creativity all over the walls and almost everywhere you walk. Best coffee shop for pictures for sure. Only reason I can not give them 5 stars is because the coffee does not taste like it was sent from heaven. I made a YouTube video on the best spots in Nashville, this place was not in the list because the taste is good and only just good. @Whats Up Rosko

Yelp
I will miss this place! We stayed at the Virgin for a few nights, and we got coffee at least once a day from here. I stumbled on my first order, not knowing what to pick with my diet restrictions, and the super kind barista helped me right away to find something that would work. He was right, and I looked forward to each coffee after that. He was so kind, and I definitely recommend stopping in!

Kenzie A.

Yelp
Such a fun place for coffee and a quick breakfast!! The coffee is great, lots of places to sit, and lots to read.
google avatar

Iggy B.

Yelp
Great place if you're into burnt espresso and green milk calling itself matcha. Really cute and all but it's just an after thought for the hotel to add this shop.
google avatar

Holly B.

Yelp
So neat & fun. The coffee was very good too but the real draw is the eclectic decor & funky vibe. Baristas we're very helpful & offered suggestions when asked. Fun place, stop by if you're in the neighborhood. You'll be glad you did!
google avatar

Jerry R.

Yelp
This is such a great place to sit in and enjoy the view. The set up of these spot is very unique in a good way. The chai latte I got was okay, I've had a few around the city and this was my least favorite. Other than that it was a great spot.

Drue C.

Yelp
The place is a fun vibe! Unique books everywhere, and it's clear the designer paid close attention to detail. Quick service, with only slightly overpriced food. However, if you're looking for a quiet place to get work done (as the name "library" might insinuate), this is not the place. It is directly connected to a restaurant and hotel near the heart of Music Row. Plenty of large parties will be walking in and out as you try to work.

Yelp
Delightful staff, fabulous cappuccinos and pastries! Lovely and funny selection of reading material to boot and fantastic patio! Prices are slightly high but the quality is superb !

Yelp
Sorted by Date - Sorted by Rating Item Rating Review Date Funny Library Coffee Shop 1 Music Square W, Nashville, TN 37203 We ordered breakfast, but it never came. After 40 minutes waiting we asked for a refund, but they didn't make it easy for us to get one. We had an appointment for a tour and a three hour drive ahead of us and had to do it without a break and without food just because there was no time since we had to wait for 40 minutes for nothing. We had to leave the place hungry. The least the they could have done was making us aware of this super long waiting time when we ordered. Usually breakfast is served within 10 minutes of waiting. People don't have the time to wait an hour for their breakfast. You don't even wait for dinner that long.

Lauren M.

Yelp
The coffee here is always great and the baristas are always super friendly. If anything, the vibe of this place is one of a kind and truly worth the visit! I did however order the Chilled Breakfast Bowl and it was weirdly salty. It was greek yogurt topped with peach marmalade and granola but something about it was off. Overall, I'd recommend visiting!
