Richmond’s Hilltop Mall Won’t Be Getting a Shiny New Asian Food Court After All | Eater SF

"I read that LBG’s earlier plans included a food zone called 'Fusion Delight' which would have housed at least four Chinese restaurants — a dim sum spot, a boba shop, a Yunnan noodle shop, and a dumpling restaurant — as part of the envisioned Asian-centric shopping and entertainment destination, but those concepts were ultimately nixed amid COVID-19 and the collapse of the indoor mall plan." - Luke Tsai

A disclaimer, these reviews are always hard for me: because when I come here, I usually come with people who are familiar with the restaurant and employees. For context, I’m a Chinese woman with family connections and I can speak cantonese. It makes the experience easier and faster. I’m not so sure if I just spoke English, how great the service is. Besides that, the food here is awesome. Great selection, everything tastes awesome! You want authentic Dim Sum? You’ll get it here!

There was a 30-minute wait on Saturday for lunch. This place is huge. Food was delicious. Fried rice took forever to come out. We had to ask about our fried rice twice. They cook the same dish in batches so some food takes longer than others, and most food comes out likewarm. You order off a tablet with pictures so don't worry if you don't speak Chinese.

This place is great. Feel like you’re in china. Extensive menu. Food was good and authentic. Atmosphere you’d expect from a large dim sim hall.

Thank you Ken and all your team member, chefs for my wedding on August 2nd. Food was great and excellent services. Everything was worked smooth. Food came out on time, hot, fresh sashimi and delicious . Thank you very much again Ken.

I should say 4.5, because the noise level is somehow too loud. They should invest something to reduce echo noise. Other than that, their food is good. I have been there twice and never have complained about the food. Service is ok, I don't have much expectations for a Chinese restaurant (overall in the Bay Area).

One of best Chinese Restaurants in the East Bay area. Foods are delicious 😋 😍. Services are great. On Labor Day weekend, long line before the restaurant was open. That is expected for Dim Sum restaurant when there is holiday. Be aware. Tips is already added on the bill. So, don't double tip.

Highly recommend! I was very impressed by the clean environment and prompt service the moment I stepped in. The dim sum tastes delicious and fresh, only the salted egg pastry is lacking a bit in that the stuffing is not enough. I especially liked durian pastry a lot! We went as a small party Friday 1pm and no waiting at all. I also liked the tablet ordering system and food is served really fast. Overall definitely the best dim sum place in the whole Richmond-Hayward part of east bay.

We went for dinner, and the food is delicious, authentic Cantonese cuisine. They don't take reservations, and there is oftentimes a wait; so would recommend getting there early. Be aware that they seem to have a "mandatory" tip policy where if you tip less than 18% at dinner (or less than 15% at lunch), they will chase you down and ask that you pay that % of tip. We found this a bit distasteful, but the food is very good. No good vegetarian/vegan options.
