Fusion Peru Restaurant

Fusion Peru offers a solid dining experience with some clear highlights and a few areas that could be improved. The food had good flavor and presentation, and you can tell care goes into the dishes. Some items really stood out, while others felt more average than expected. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was clean, making it a comfortable place to dine. Service was friendly, though at times it felt a bit slow or inconsistent, especially during busier moments. Pricing is on the higher side, and while the quality is there, it didn’t fully match the price point across the board. Overall, it’s a decent spot worth trying, but with some room for improvement to make it a standout experience.

I think this is going to be our place for the future. The food, service and atmosphere is top notch. Fresh to order dishes, steaming hot and absolutely delicious is the word to describe their food. We tried their Chaufa de Mariscos rice and their Ceviche de Mariscos. Both prepared with care using the freshest ingredients. The preparation was great and the dish looked great. One word of caution is on the Chaufa rice the serving is enormous like 4 people can eat from that plate and I have a big appetite but this was huge. The Ceviche good for one person and you will be stuffed. We also tried their Tamarindo and Chicha morada juices and very refreshing and fresh. The do have a lunch menu from 11am to 3pm good selection and cheaper prices. Overall a great experience and will be back when in town. Come and check them out and support your local businesses.

This restaurant deserves way more love that it gets. Plenty of parking. Delicious food. Friendly staff. It’s a small restaurant that offers flavorful and exciting dishes from Peru with a Texan touch. The owner is super sweet. She approached the table to introduce herself. Beautifully decorated and very clean. I’d definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious! For me, this is the best restaurant in College Station. Excellent taste, service, and atmosphere. Each dish is unique and generously sized! My husband and I almost always share one because it’s too much for me. I highly recommend the yuca as an appetizer and the Arroz Chaufa, but honestly, everything is incredibly delicious!

What a hidden gem in college station. I’m Peruvian and the ceviche is pretty darn good! My son the tallaríns verdes which was super good too! They were out of diet Inca Cola unfortunately when I was there. Give this place some love, it’s sooooo good!

It can be pricey if you order a lot, bur god the food is great. Really unique dishes all around. I like the tuna casa rellena a lot, with the machu pichu burger. I also like how refreshing the fruit juices taste on a hot day, and their icecreams are really unique. I think they make them in-house? Great place for warm days. Definitely reccomend.

I was so excited that I found this restaurant while on my business trip. This plate was absolutely delicious and I’ll be back one more time before I leave.

Went in for dinner and food was wonderful. I am someone that has gone to Peru and have eating Peruvian food throughout my life, I can definitely say that food tastes very authentic. I would highly recommend their ceviche and arroz chaufa. I will be working in College Station for several months and I am happy I found a restaurant that can transport me home.

Yum! I was surprised to find peruvian food in college station but this place smacks. The service is super friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. My sister got the Tallarin a La Huancaina, the spaghetti was incredible. The lomo saltado was also amazing, my sister said the beef was a bit too chewy though. I tried the chafe de mariscos, seafood soup. Also delicious, it was a HUGE portion though. Amazing food!

Our first trip to Fusion Peru was with a group of 7 people. We didn't arrive at the same time, but they happily seated us, brought water for everyone, and took our appetizer order. The server was apologetic because they were out of sweet potato fries. We ordered yucca fries and plantains instead. The apps came out quickly. The portion of yucca fries was smaller than we expected, but they were good. The plantains were caramelized and quite good. For our entree, my partner and I split a mushroom lomo saltado. The mushrooms and sauce were very flavorful, and it was just the right portion size. Our friends also enjoyed all of their entrees. The service is very good and the prices are reasonable. We'll be back when in the area.

I tried lomo saltiado chicken meal with their food truck. I had to come to the restaurant to try It again. It was just as expected, delicious! We tried for the first time the steak salteado but with spaghetti and It was pretty amazing too. If you want a good food, this is the spot. I have been wanting to come here for a month! It was worth it!

Fusion Peru Restaurant has great flavors and Maria was so friendly!! I ordered the Tallarin a la Huancaina which was a Peruvian style pasta with beef. It was so flavorful. And you have to order the passion fruit juice too!! I will be back. Excellent place.

Honestly was nothing like the reviews. First of all, the AC was broken so they had a big and loud AC unit in there. Whenever someone would open the door all the ceiling tiles would fly open. The two staff members were two young kids who tried but were a little unprofessional. The food took forever to come out. Tried the yukan fries and they were ok. My husband's burrito was not what he asked for and the beans and content inside just taste like it's from a can. I had the potato with chicken on top and I could of lived my whole life not trying that. It was cold. It probably was supposed to be cold but I wasn't expecting it to be. Honestly just tasted like canned chicken on top of cold mashed potatoes. Would not recommend this place nor would I return.

Haven't written a review in a while but our views have changed since the original review because now fusion peru is one of our go to's! The prices are still higher and they don't have a kids meal which is a bummer but the kids love the fried fish dish and all split that- it ends up being about $5 a kid which is like a kids meal. We love the fish tacos!! So tender and juicy and flavorful!! Highly recommend!! This place is a true local gem/hole in the wall at its finest! They have great passion fruit juice we get and then dilute and share because it's pretty sweet/thick. We also love the tallarin verde but get it with the lomo saltado instead of the big steak because we love the veggies with it. Everything is super flavorful and they even have homemade gelato!! We love this place!! Be careful because you can end up spending a lot because everything is so good! My husband enjoys the fried plantains too! Highly recommend fusion peru!!

I'd like to start by saying the flavor of their fried rice is phenomenal. The fish and chicken in it was moist packed with flavor. Our experience wasn't great other than that. We came in on a pretty slow Saturday night, only a couple other people, and we sat in the corner. We ordered a fried rice plate and a side of rice and beans, probably 10 or so minutes after sitting down and it only took that long because we couldn't decide. We then proceed to wait 45 min to an hour for anything to come out. Multiple groups came in, sat, ordered and received the food after we ordered. We then asked and our food arrived less than 10 min later and we never received the beans because our waiter said he forgot them. We were not comped anything just offered a "sorry".

Our service was great and the chorizo fries were AMAZING. I also got a soup which was very huge and it had a little too much seafood flavor for me, but a lot of people are into that.

I was in college station with my wife and daughter, and we wanted to try something new for lunch. Honestly, this was a great choice. Staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. Each of us ordered something different, and I was able to try a little of each. I ordered the Tallarin a la Huancaina (beef). It was awesome. I was so delicious that I was tempted to get another order to take home for dinner. When I go back, I'm sticking with that.

YES, please try this place! We absolutely loved it- the flavors, the service, the portions- it was all so good! We probably would have shared 1 rice dish and an appetizer for lunch had we known how big it would be. It a very small, local business so they shared with us that they're updating prices but don't have the on the menu yet (you know, bc they're probably trying to make $ to do so). Be patient, it's street food in a restaurant settingx

So was in the area for an event and this little gem popped up on yelp. Had a rice dish with beef. It was served hot fresh and delicious. Staff was friendly and helped with the menu with several recommendations.

I have never eaten in Peru. But I have eaten in Brazil. This place feels like a good cheap upper lower class//lower middle class place. There is no catering to Yuppies. I am guessing it is pretty authentic. * * * Fancy Peruvian food is hard to do in the US. We don't have the raw ingredients. Particularly, we don't have all the unusual potatoes. American Peruvian places compensate by doing a lot of ceviches and doing heart appetizers. Those are perfectly lovely. But this place is salt of the earth lower class. It is NOT so salt of the earth that the meat would not pass inspection. In South America, you eat at a bus station or a real downscale place, and the meat will be foul. Middle class places keep the Plain Jane recipes and menus. But you can survive the food quality. What do you get in a cheapie South American place? All over Latin America, people eat hamburgers. These guys serve hamburgers. All over Latin America, people eat cheap tough steaks. They compensate for the toughness by using a marinade. These guys do cheap tough steaks that are marinated. I can personally vouch for the fact that the steaks at Peru Fusion are the toughest I have had anywhere on the planet. They tasted okay, but, boy, did I get an arm and upper body workout. All over Latin America, people make restaurant meals filling by serving a vast amount of starch. These guys give you French Fries AND rice AND Plantains. The steak is put on top of the French Fries and gets most of the sauce. So the French Fries get eaten kind of plain at the end. They tasted just fine. After a tough steak AND French Fries AND Rice and Plantains, I was plenty full at the end of the meal. All over Latin America, restaurants are located in cheap quarters where the physical maintenance is not so great. This place is showing a lot of wear and tear on the physical facilities. * * * So why isn't this a three star review? The sauces. The house makes its own custom made sauce which they give the same name as the restaurant itself, Peru Fusion They also make a bunch of other traditional Peruvian sauces. The sauces are absolutely excellent. They take what would otherwise be very plain eating ... And make it absolutely engaging, interesting and comforting. I left the restaurant happy with a sense of being well fed. I have no idea what is in the Peru Fusion sauce - except it is very spicy, it is light green and it is creamy. Some kind of chile for sure. Some kind of cilantro for sure. But there is more to it than that. I would eat Peru Fusion sauce on a boiled sneaker. Peru Fusion sauce is really good. And the French Fries and Rice were really good, and the steak tasted good with the marinade. * * * There are yuppier places out there that will serve you artisanal pisco drinks. There are yuppier places that will serve you super elaborate ceviche. But this place is solid for what it is. I think more Peruvians eat in restaurants like this than they eat in the fancy places in downtown Philadelphia.

Met a friend here for lunch to try Peruvian food. The service was good. The waitress was really helpful. Our food was really good! It is a hidden gem. I recommend it. We did enjoy some spicy sauce and the pasta had a bit of a bite to it but it was delicious.

Food is amazing! We had tallarines saltado, lomo saltado, ceviche, ají de gallina, salchipapas and every plate was perfect! Also they have ice cream... with flavors as Lucuma, Mamey guava and Lulo!

If you are in Bryan or College Station and are craving Peruvian food, I highly recommend Fusion Peru. It isn't that cheap, but it's somewhat affordable for its quantity and quality. If you want some real Peruvian food, try their ceviche. It's similar to the ones you can get in Peru. We ordered their Ceviche and Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos. Their ceviche tasted fresh; it was strong, but not overwhelming, in flavor. The Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos was just a higher-end version of Chinese Fried Rice. I think it's a bit overpriced, but for the amount of seafood you get on your plate, I'd say it's worth it. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and kind. Our waitress made sure we always had our refills whenever we needed them, and I'm telling you: she was VERY attentive. It wasn't difficult to find parking, although, there are some days where you may find a bit of trouble. It's not too bad, though. Overall, would I return? Yes, just to have the taste of Peruvian food again.

I like Peruvian food. Unfortunately, this restaurant does "bait and switch" for the prices. I ordered tacos that are listed at $8.75 on the menu. They charged me $9.50. When I asked why, they told me that there is an extra charge of $1 for the beef. I understand that beef prices went up with the pandemic. But please mark it on the menu, especially since the prices are done with yhr stickers anyway... And, tell me about that extra fee when I am ordering, not when I am seeing the higher charge and asking about it. Too bad... I really wanted to enjoy it and to come back for ceviche...

Great food!! I ordered the fish tacos and they were amazing! The food tasted fresh and delicious. Also, the homemade lucuma ice cream is a must try!! I wish I lived around this area. Would definitely visit here often!

Ermigersh. Yum. I had never had Peruvian food before so my husband suggested we stop here on our trip to College Station. I loved the tablecloths, loved the service, loved the food. Everything we had was delicious, and my only suggestion is that perhaps to have the more popular Peruvian appetizers be offered on a sample platter. I took the leftovers back to our Airbnb and munched on them for breakfast the next morning. The flavor wa a outsanding and the portions generous. I would absolutely come back here on my next trip.

I love peruvian food. I think this is then only peruvian rataurant in college station. I started with papas a la huncaina, they were really good. The huancaina sauce could have been a little bit thicker but tasted good with good enough amount of heat. Then I had the seco a la norteña. Beef stew, very tender meat. The peruvian spices is cooked with give it an earthy flavor. This dish comes with rice and beans. Beans were nice and soft with good flavor. Overall its a very hearty meal. Some of the other customer were having the arroz chaufa, it looked delicious. Perhaps ill try it next time. They also have a good variety of peruvian dishes and drinks (chicha morada and inka kola) that are a must.

Great little place serving up authentic Peruvian dishes that won't break the bank. I actually really enjoy coming here, as the staff is helpful and the food itself is quite good. I thoroughly enjoy the Sandwich de Lomito and Beef Peruvian wraps, as the meats in both rarely disappoint and contain fresh ingredients all around. The fries are almost always hot and crispy with multiple sauces to choose from (I like the Fusion and Huacatay) Not many Peruvian places in the Brazos Valley but this place is worth checking out.

My new favorite restaurant in BCS! The food is consistently great, as is the service. Our favorite dishes include the Salchipapas, Chicken Chaufa, Bisteque Norteño, plantains, and fried yucca. The sauces that come with the salchipapas and yucca are so flavorful!

My girlfriend and I wanted to check out this place as it is the only Peruvian food in College Station and it didn't disappoint! My girlfriend loves Peruvian food (she is half Peruvian and recently visited Peru). She got ceviche de mariscos and I got lomo saltado! It was SO GOOD :D! Our server was nice and we got the chance to talk to the owner of the restaurant and hear more about how the food was made. Inca kola (the staple soda of Peru) can be purchased there for $2/can or $5 for a 2 liter soda. We both enjoyed our meal and recommend trying this place.

My family loves Peruvian food. This was the most bland we have had. We were very excited to try, wont go back unfortunately.

Third time's the charm. Loved this place the first time we came here, wobbled a little the second time during COVID, and on third try they've spruced up the interior, updated the menu and generally raised the level of their game. There are menu items you won't find any where else in CStat, and other familiar items just done better. The tiraditu/ceviche tastes fresh and has Peruvian twists unlike anything at a local sushi shack, the rice dishes jump with flavor you can't get in a Chinese restaurant, and the potato-centric items so prevalent in Peru satisfy your comfort food crave. I've been to Peru several times and was stunned by the variety and quality of "native" foods. This place takes me back, and we'll be back here again and again.

We adore this place! Very flavorful plates. We loved the Salchipapa, Fried Yucca, Beef Lomo Saltado, and Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos. Their specials are always delicious too. Our favorite has been the Columbian Plate!

Fusion Peru, I believe, was originally a food truck before it moved into its new, quaint little restaurant. We didn't go during prime eating hours, so there weren't many people, but the servers were incredibly sweet and nice. There were so many things on the menu to choose from, but I ended up choosing the Machu Picchu burger, which consisted of beef marinated in Peruvian spices with American cheese, tomato, lettuce, a fried egg & additional Peruvian sauces. And wow was it delicious -- the sauces certainly takes the flavor to whole new level, and the fried egg just made everything better. My friend ordered the Seco a la Nortena, which was beef stew accompanied with rice and Peruvian beans; her dish looked equally delicious! Fusion Peru, as the name suggests, combines both traditional Peruvian flavors with a dash of American, and it does an incredible job! Would definitely have to go back to try more items off the menu.

Incredible! I had never tried Peruvian food before and this was a great introduction! It's a little hole in the wall place but very clean and great service. I went in with a large group thirty minutes before closing and they were extremely friendly and accommodating. I tried the Lomo Saltado and it was delish! Will definitely be back again! ¡Buen trabajo compas!

Love this place as their fusion is spot on, the variety of dishes impressive, and service first0rate.

Let me start of by saying that the service is excellent. The food is great too. We were a party of 2 and had the quesadilas (amazingly tasty without being spicy), the Arraz con Mariscos (seafood one. This one was the best out of the three. Lots of seafood and the rice was done in a similar fashion as any Indo-Chinese fried rice. So I loved it.) and the Lomo Saltado (beef had a great smoky flavour. However, the fries were too salty for my taste.) The Inca Cola was a great new experience. It's like Coke and Dr. Pepper had a baby, and the baby wasn't the black sheep of the family. Highly recommend!

If you haven't tried it, you need to. My wife and I just moved here from out of town and we were nervous about the trying this place because we LOVE Peruvian food. I didn't want it to fall flat and be disappointed. It didn't! The Negative. Lets start out with tHe honest. The interior needs help. It needs more vibrant colors, better decor, maybe even dim the evening atmosphere. The other negative hurts the place, it doesn't have alcohol. It would do well to have a simple wine/alcohol menu. Fusion restaurants often go with local breweries but this did not. Just a heads up. It has both tables and booths. Can fit both large and small parties. One dining hall area. BUT the food was on POINT! It was incredible. All my favorite flavors were there. We tried the Lomo Saltado, Cevechi, and the Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos. I would get each plate again and again and again. Get the Saltado with beef. That will honestly be my next plate. I really can't rave enough about the food. The staff, extremely helpful, extremely friendly, very accommodating. I was shocked that the place isn't just slammed. Their desserts are also amazing. We were given a Key lime pie slice that I honestly needed morE of, but I was too full because the portion size fills you up. This place has entered out #1 spot for BCS food and will most likely be our #1 date spot. Try it. Just go, read this review and give it a shot. You'll thank me later.

I have never had Peruvian food until I came to this place, and to describe the food in one word: DELICIOUS. The beef was my favorite part of the meal. I've been there twice now. The owner actually recommended the lomo saltado when I first went and honestly her recommendation was spot on. The food tasted clean and home cooked. I then went again and took some friends with me; the owner wasn't there so the service wasn't super friendly like the first time- still very good. They loved the food and I loved the arruz chaufa that I ordered. The sausage, fried rice and everything meshed well together. If you're in mood for a home cooked tasting meal, I highly recommend this place. Also, make sure to ask for their green sauce, it makes the food taste even better!

Outstanding, if your looking for a taste of Peru this is the place to go. Ask for Mr. Chunga if your not sure how to order and he will passionately explain the menu. Lomo Salgado is the best, or Aji de gallina, two Peruvian staples, or his unique machu picchu burger! Got kids, go Salchipapas (fries with sausauge). He also makes tamales around the holidays so be sure to ask how you can preorder, they are worth the wait!

First time eating there. First of all, they didn't have a lemon for my water. I let that pass since they just opened. Second, I ordered the Chicken Arroz Chaufa. They brought out pork instead. I told the waiter and he said no that's what the chicken looks like. He made it seem like I was an idiot when clearly it's not chicken. If you're going to charge $12.99 for a dish at least get it right. Third, the dish is supposed to have sausage in it yet it was hotdogs. Seriously? Finally, you have to get up to go pay for the check and the lady barely spoke any English. They never got to refilling my water nor anyone else's water in the restaurant. Service was very poor, food was bad. Needless to say, I wouldn't give that food to my dog nor recommend this place to anyone.

Lomo saltado is a must along with the ceveche . The menu is quite extensive and people should find something to eat with all they offer.

Decided to try out this restaurant as I heard good things. I ordered the salmon burger and it was delicious. Initially I wasn't sure if I'd like it because of the fried egg, but it was great! I loved the Peruvian spices and sauces in the burger. I also tried in the Inca Kola. Its got a unique taste; is different and not as carbonated as soda. The restaurant was clean and had was very inviting. Loved the colorful decor on the tables and walls. Our waitress was very nice and answered any questions we had!

I went there a lot when it's a food truck at Northgate. Can't believe they have a real restaurant now. My favorite is still the lomo saltado. But this time the beef is not as moist as it used to be. The sauce is still super good. Try to mix the sauce with rice you gonna like it. My friend ordered beef chaufa. Tbh, from the pronunciation and the taste, it's really like Chinese soy sauce beef stir fried rice (chao fan as in Chinese). The potion is huge. And they owner is still as friendly as he used to be.

Been loving this place since they were in the trailer on Northgate. An excellent place to go for something different, filling, and delicious.

Huge portions! Yummy food. Waitress was really sweet and attentive. We got the Machu Pichu burger and the arroz chaufa. The "spicy" green sauce is tasty but doesn't have enough heat. Good music but kept on skipping songs throughout our meal. However after the meal, felt a little bloated even after not finishing the dishes. Overall, great service and great food. Will be back.

First timers, very satisfied. Got the beef loma Saltido, beef arroz, and fish tacos (which came with the green sauce). Everything was delicious. The arroz is HUGE and will be at least 4 more servings. Green sauce is super delicious. The beef loma saltido was liked by everyone, including the kids. Hubby was delighted to find the fries didn't get sweaty and limp in the takeaway box (which he hates). He loves fish tacos and chowed down hard on them. Everything was packaged up great for takeaway. Highly recommend this small local business. FYI... We called in an order after trying to place one online for pickup using doordash but doordash said the restaurant was busy. They weren't too busy to take our order on the phone.

If you want to find amazing food in college Station, this is definitely the spot. Came here 3 times within a week! The food is absolutely delicious, well served and the portion size is really good!!
