Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen

This is the second time I've been to this hotel, as once again it was fantastic. Our room was lovely, with plenty of space and fantastic views of Shenzhen's Futian district. Pretty much everything was clean (aside from a single shelf with a thin layer of dust near the mini fridge), and the welcome fruit and chocolates were lovely.Food wise, the hotel was excellent. The Horizon Club offerings for dinner were great, though it was extremely busy due to it being CNY (expected). The food was good and plentiful, as were the drinks. The staff were supreme, too. We had a mix-up with our booking, but the hotel staff at the front desk helped us settle it with no problems.

Great view from hotel as it overlooks a huge park and the local government office sets a nice backdrop. I like that the location is quiet, even on weekends, which gives me the peaceful rest I was looking for but without compromising on convenience. |Breakfast spread at the hotel is slightly inferior as compared to other Shangri-Las I've stayed at in the past in other parts of Asia. On its own, the breakfast is good. |Service wise, the staff are always busy because there is always a crowd whenever I'm not in my room e.g. during breakfast, check in, check out, when I'm leaving to go sightseeing, when I'm back for the day, etc. so that hinders the fast and attentive service for me. |I do like their attention to details to facilitate an enjoyable stay - there's even a map of jogging routes around the vicinity on a lanyard. Definitely scoring well in the top right quadrant of the Kano model.

The hotel is situated near the train station (if you are coming from HK) as well as 5-8mins walk from at least 2 big malls. Hotel staff were pleasant, breakfast was decent, mostly offering local food. ||Gym was huge and fully equipped with 24hrs access. The health spa area was great too! They had resting pods, saunas and hot/cold pool. They even had pickleball courts and equipment which was available for guests to have a go at it.||The room (horizon room) was positioned well to soak in the full natural light - we had a great view as well!||Overall, we had a great stay here. Will recommend to anyone looking to stay near the futian train station/taking trips to HK.||

One of my favourites in Shenzhen. Located right next to the buzzing malls and Office district. Yet quiet if you need that. The breakfast spread was also good. Beautiful entrance and friendly staff. Also great value for money. Taxis are easy to get right outside the hotel. Also the hot stuff helped arranged Cab for me as and when needed

Excellent service from every single staff interaction we had, especially at horizon club - exactly what you'd expect from a Shangri-la property. Room was clean and comfy with their generous pillow selection. Lobby is currently decked out in festive cheer and looks fantastic.My slight disappointment was with the food - Horizon club food felt a bit lacking in selection and quality (sandwiches and pastries tasted a bit stale), especially compared to the Hong Kong Shangs. Breakfast quality and spread was definitely a bit lacklustre.

We stayed here just for the weekend Friday to Sunday, very pleasant stay indeed. The highlight is the services given by all staff we came across in the hotel. From asking direction from the bell boy whom we bump into in the lobby to the chef in the horizon club lounge, the waitresses at the lounge and the cleaning lady. Everyone showed extremely friendly, helpful and proactive services to us. It’s outstanding. It’s situated right at the centre of Futian. We are covering a one to two km circumference of the hotel and we enjoyed the park, multiple malls, excellent food and chilling. Very good weekend getaway

Hotel is close to the high speed railway which is extremely convenient. Rooms are spacious but dated, services feel a bit more like international 4 star which is unlike the service I’ve experienced in other shangri la locations. Overall it was still good and I’d stay again.

noticed that a cleaning towel was left over my belongings after turndown service. While I understand that oversights can happen, it was concerning to find a used towel placed on my personal items.||2) I was surprised when we requested a back support pillow at the club lounge and were informed that the pillow was actually a seating pad from another guest, and that it might not be available for us. I suggest considering stocking some back support pillows for guests’ comfort, rather than providing that response. The chairs in the club lounge are not user-friendly without proper back support.
