Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen

I’m a big fan of Shangri La Hotels. I took a short trip to Shenzhen and decided to stay on their Futian property (they have 2 more in the city). Perfect location if you are coming from Hong Kong by train, just a few meters from the station. The hotel is also in the middle of a busy business and entertainment district. Plenty of malls, bars and clubs within walking distance. The hotel is brand new with great amenities. The lobby bar is spectacular, and great to wind down having a drink. I choose a room with access to the Horizon Lounge. The view from the room was spectacular. The Lounge is a great value, as you have breakfast, snacks and evening drinks with a view over the city during its iconic light show. The Spa offered a great relaxing service, very professional. Can’t wait to come back.

It's in the heart of Shenzhen Futian district. Walkable to several shopping malls such as the Cocopark. Hotel is well kept. Rooms are clean, chic and spacious. They don't have the bells and whistles of the modern hotels, but are very well mainly. Staff is very friendly. I'd come again soon!

The Shangri La Futian is in a perfect location. You can walk to the high speed rail and you can walk to PAFC and Coco Park. It is very close to the park as well as the metro. The location is almost unbeatable The rooms are styled in your typical Shangri La fashion so it does feel a bit dated. But reality is that it isn't such an old hotel and all the modernities are present. The rooms do feel small but are perfectly adequate. The service is top notch as always so expect nothing less here. The breakfast has many choices but breakfast time feels chaotic with so many people there. We booked a horizon suite another time and that was much more pleasant with fewer people.

I seldom leave online comments or reviews, but the experience we had at the Futian Shangri-La was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share it.||||Our family stayed from December 31st to January 3rd, booking two rooms to celebrate the New Year. It turned out to be a truly wonderful holiday, largely thanks to the world-class hospitality and the outstanding care provided by the Service Manager, Mr. Green Guo.||||Mr. Green went above and beyond to ensure our family’s comfort throughout our entire stay. He was incredibly professional, sincere, and attentive, providing a level of personal service that truly reflects the Shangri-La brand. He even took the time to personally check in on us during our dinner to ensure we were having a perfect evening.||||The hotel itself is fantastic. Our rooms were very spacious and well-appointed, providing the perfect space for our family. We especially loved the New Year’s Eve countdown at the hotel—it was a spectacular and joyful way to welcome 2026!||||Another major highlight was our dinner at Café Zen. The buffet is amazing and features a unique live aquarium, which creates a beautiful atmosphere. The seafood selection is top-tier; the lobster, shrimp, and other fresh items cooked live at the stations were delicious and absolutely worth it.||||Thanks to the 'service-first' attitude of Mr. Green Guo and his team, our family felt truly valued and pampered. We highly recommend this hotel for its excellent facilities and its world-class management. We look forward to returning

Lovely hotel which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I love the location - so easy to reach from Hong Kong and it is just outside Futian Station. It is close to so many great restaurants, shops, cafes and bars, as well as a park. Service was great and room was extremely comfortable. This was my second time in this hotel and I will definitely return. Carlos and Jacky were especially helpful in the Horizon Club. The only suggestions I would make are:Staggered seating for Horizon Club cocktails, as at 6pm it was so busy!More environmental awareness. Does every cotton bud and shower cap need to be individually boxed?

Luxurious as expected. The lobby was decked in Christmas cheer and I'm impressed they even have a mini carousel in the lobby for young guests.Location is good, within 5 mins walking distance to Futian Railway Exit 10 (where you can catch a train to Hong Kong), 10 mins walking distance to Futian Exhibition Centre and a metro station on a few lines and surrounded by malls including LinkCity which has many food and shopping options.The room is spacious and clean, well-maintained but dated. Wide selection of amenities including pillow options and I love that I can requests for these through their mini prog in WeChat. Bed is a little soft for my liking. Service is tip tops from the concierge to front desk to housekeeping to Lobby Lounge. Certainly my choice of hotel when I next return to Shenzhen.

We were very happy with our stay at Shangri-La Futian. The staff went above and beyond to make our trip smooth and enjoyable.||• We wanted to book dim sum at Fan Lou but didn’t have a China phone line and weren’t sure how to proceed. Felix from the team kindly helped us with the booking and even followed up to ensure everything was confirmed.|• When we booked a Didi ride through WeChat, we realized we couldn’t pay directly. Felix stepped in again, helped us pay for the ride, and allowed us to transfer the amount back to him via Alipay. Truly thoughtful service!|• Later, we tried to order Bawang Chaji drinks through Mei Tuan but ran into the issue of needing a local phone number. Kitty at the front desk provided one for us, and once the order arrived, the hotel staff delivered the drinks straight to our room.|||The level of care and support we received was top-notch. From helping us navigate local apps to ensuring our comfort, the staff made us feel completely at ease.||We are very happy with our stay and look forward to visiting again. Shenzhen has been amazing, and Shangri-La Futian played a big part in making it memorable.

Dated luxury and a subpar stay. We booked an executive suite for our family of 4, which was suppose to have either a foldout bed or a rollaway for our 2 kids. We checked in and were given an executive suite with no foldout bed and no availability for a rollaway. The hotel actually thought it was acceptable for our kids to sleep on the floor, which is shocking for a hotel that bills itself as 5 star. The room felt very dated. Frankly, there was no aspect of our stay we actually enjoyed. The Horizon Club breakfast was pretty lackluster with bad coffee and extremely apathetic service. Comparing this hotel to the Tokyo Shangri-La is a total joke - this hotel feels like a Holiday Inn by comparison. The brand should be ashamed of this property.
