"Leah and I were at Fuunji to eat tsukemen, the specialty of the tiny restaurant. The place is presided over by a wiry ramen master rocking a blond, boy-band coif, who dances around behind the counter, boiling and draining and plating his food with the percussive flamboyance of a flair bartender." - Helen Rosner

Tasted similar to the Shinjuku main shop, only difference was there's no free upsize to a large serving. Shop was very clean and organised, it was refreshing to sit at the counter and watch the chefs cook and prepare ramen. Do visit early to avoid the 12 - 1pm lunch crowd!

First time at this location and it is just like the original shop. Still a must go to shop whether here or original. The location is not the "original" ramen street you see on google maps/articles. It is further north within tokyo station and near exit 15 (see pic). You buy your ticket first, then wait in line to be seated, and line was quick waited maybe 10 min on a weekday lunch. Pictured is 200g noodles which is a regular portion. I once did the large 300g at the original location and regretted it, but that all depends on how much you normally eat.

I would to tell everybody to come to eat this brunch. There is no line no one staving watching on your back. Food was great thick sauce dipping (a little bit much savory)noodles was firm. Nice and handsome staff. Clean and bright place good vibes.

Fuunji! Second location. The original has a charm that this one lacks. However, this one will have you eating much faster, maybe even no waiting at all. Still want great flavor. I love fuunji. But the original location has too many tourists now and the wait times are easily over an hour. I come to the tokyo station location and never wait for a seat and served my food in under 5 minutes.

Wonderful bowl of tsukemen from the piping hot broth which was thick and full of intense umami flavor, to the perfectly cooked and chewy noodles. The rich chicken and fish broth served by Fuunji is packed with flavor and definitely a must try. When nearly done with your me, add the soup-wari and drink the soup. It elevates the flavor and tastes delicious. Came here at near-closing and there was no line at all. It is a little bit hard to find given that it’s in the underground Yaesu mall, it’s near exit 14/15.

I went here for a quick dinner of Tsukemen - which consists of a plate of noodles and a bowl of hearty, thick broth filled with pork, bamboo shoots, onsen egg, spring onion and dried seaweed. The noodles are to be dipped into the bowl of thick broth. When you’ve finished the noodles, you can pour some soup (in a flask on the counter) into the bowl of broth and then drink it to finish off the meal. The tsukemen is the only dish that this restaurant serves - a consummate specialist. I ordered the regular size together with extra pork chashu (a very generous serving) and it was more than enough. As with all ramen shops, service was quick and polite, and very good value for the portion and quality. You might find the noodles to have a slightly alkaline flavour. Also this tsukemen shop is outside of the Tokyo station ramen street, so away from the crowd, and easy to get a seat.

Tsukemen here is great. The broth is very thick with a fish and pork flavor. I got the extra pork and it was definitely worth it. There was no line both times I ate here.
