"Fuzzy’s Taqueria will open in Minneapolis’ restaurant-packed North Loop neighborhood. The Texas-based taco chain will open its first Minnesota location in the Loose-Wiles building at 701 Washington Avenue. The initial menu will include breakfast tacos, Baja-style tacos, queso, burritos, and more. Eventually, the 1,100 square foot location will open for dine-in with a full bar ready to serve margaritas." - Joy Summers

Google
Had a great experience at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Minneapolis! The bartender greeted me right away and was super helpful—clearly knew the menu well. She recommended the fish tacos, and they did not disappoint—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The vibe was relaxed, service was on point, and the pricing was very reasonable. Will definitely be back for another round!

Google
I've lived in Minneapolis for over five years, and I still haven't found a better taco spot. The tacos are consistently delicious and affordable, and the service is always excellent. Not to mention the margaritas, they're just as tasty and budget-friendly. This place continues to impress me every time I visit. Highly recommend!!

Google
Host was talking to his friend Tyler so my food sat till my friend asked him to give it to me and he seemed bothered that it needed to be packed to-go. Then the bombshell behind the bar had to tell him my friend’s nachos and my potatoes needed forks after he almost pulled them out of the bags, after touching money then my tacos. The guy taking orders was great making jokes and suggesting with us both. Honestly other than shaggy the rest of the gang was great!

Google
Food is good here if you are looking for some fast casual. They have large margaritas. The patio is nice and connected to a courtyard area. Love their late hours and have a decent happy hour.

Google
A late night eatery sent from GOD. We were in the area on Friday night and everywhere else stopped serving food at 10. Luckily this little gem was open and it had a high rating, so we gave it a shot. The staff were all super chill and friendly. The spot is tucked away in a nice little corner and very cozy. There is a small dining area and a bar available with a couple seats as well. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. The seafood tacos were my favorite and washed it all down with some house margaritas. Definitely worth a trip if you are in the north loop area.

Google
The food is alright. Until you notice that the servers or the workers in general don’t wash their hands after touching their hair, eyes, noses, or spits out gum using their hands, and then right after, will touch your food and napkins, and give it to you. I saw a worker literally playing and combing through his curly hair and then taking the food from the counter and giving it to a customer. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention, touching and playing on their phones then touching your food, do we even have to wonder what germs and bacteria are on our phones. Gross. And another thing about management, what kind of company allows management to date and have relations with their employees. That’s so unprofessional and would never be okay in a well-run business. Especially when this non-management woman-child flirts and flaunts her stuff in front of married or taken men. Again, absolutely disgusting customer service. Will never come here again and will definitely not recommend to anyone.

Google
Food was good not great. Burrito was a little soggy but I did take away and walked 10 mins before I ate so could be that. Liked the chips and dip will try again, maybe eat in restaurant.

Google
I would say fuzzy taco is a definite taco Tuesday must have, but it is not the best tacos in the world. The atmospheres great. The staff is great. The food is so so. also remember to get the butt burning sauce and the margaritas — those slap.

Yelp
This has been our "go-to" spot for tacos and B-fast burritos for the past year. The carnitas have excellent flavor and the shrimp tacos have become one of my favorites, there's a nice sauce that goes well with the shrimp. If you're eating in, make sure to get a margarita, they are pretty big.

Yelp
Weird name for a restaurant Nice avocado taco No free drinks even if you ask kindly

Yelp
I take back what I said a couple months ago about lacking flavor - the quesabirria tacos are actually pretty good. I still stand behind the elevated Taco Bell comment though. I should have taken a better picture of the inside because they were slammed full with meat. Great seasoning on the meat and in the consume. Would definitely get again!

Trudie P.

Yelp
Amazing food and service... the Carnitas and shrimp quesadillas are amazing....the tortilla chips thin and crispy and seasoned perfectly. Can't wait to revisit

Yelp
I have had Fuzzy's before when I lived in Kansas and wasn't the biggest fan but my friends like it so I have it another go. It just isn't my favorite mexican place but not the worst. I don't love the seasoning on the chips and the queso is alright. This time I got the breakfast taco, it was pretty good. Parking at this location is tricky but it is a good late night stop if you are going out in North Loop.

Yelp
I love this place!! It's the perfect quick taco spot after a night out or an easy dinner. The staff are friendly! I'd highly recommend the birria tacos or bowl
google avatar

Markeda D.

Yelp
I've had better tacos but the queso is really good!! The service was quick and the bartender made my cocktail to perfection! We sat on the patio and it was a nice vibe to enjoy our food and observe the games being played across from us.

Yelp
Stopped here for some late night food after a night at Bunker's Down the street, love that it's open late and has margs! I just got a chicken taco, it was juicy, flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend loves their breakfast menu (that I believe is available all day and night). Only downside is seating is super limited, so you have to get lucky to find a spot. Food is fast though! Has my favorite skinny marg in the area.
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
The FOH staff was very friendly and helped us with the menu! This is a great quick lunch spot. The tacos were tasty and service was fast. The frozen margarita amazing! I feel like most don't have a lot of tequila, but I could taste it in this one. The vibe is very relaxed. Outdoor and indoor seating. Bar seating as well!

Yelp
Service and food are always spectacular! Great quality breakfast tacos for the price.

Yelp
So this was a suggested place @fuzzys_northloop Can I first start by saying I had a hard time finding this place (I'm still new to Minnesota). After about two times around the block, I finally noticed the public parking sign and followed it into parking garage. And then boop there was the restaurant. (Pics in my stories) There were so many interesting and simple items on the list. (Menu in stories). But you had to know someway somehow I always find something with brisket. So I settled for their brisket nachos. I give the nachos a 8/10 only because I would have liked more cheese sauce toward the bottle. I found myself throwing away alot of chips. Also with knowing that that now I may order some more cheese sauce on the side. Any way the nachos were actually good. The spicy skinny margarita was okay not sure if I'll get that again. Yet, I will go back and check out other items If you stop by or have been before leave me a comment and tell me what are you're thoughts .

Yelp
Veggie tacos were really good! And the bean and cheese burritos were as well! It is reallllly small inside only like 3 tables!
google avatar

Yelp
Fuzzy's is a great place to go on a night out! I went on a Friday around midnight. The line was really short and we were served quickly. Ordered the chicken nachos and the fuzzys navel. The drink wasn't very flavorful or strong but the nachos were pretty good! A good chip to cheese ratio and a large serving size.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
I had the shredded chicken nachos and the chorizo, potato, egg, and cheese burrito. The nachos were high tier. This is a great spot for drinks and nachos. The burrito was good, but nothing to rave about. Service was fast. The north loop location is very nice and had corn hole and curling outside!

Yelp
Food: I got a ground beef burrito that included cheese, refried beans, black beans, rice, and tomato. I had the choice of guacamole, but I chose not to eat that. It was very well done, it was very tasty. It was very large. It was very filling. Service: it's a walk up order your own stuff and give you a number kind of place. You have to pick it up when they call your number . They are very friendly. Ambience: not really much ambience. It's a kind of off the beaten track taco place, not much seating. If you're not familiar with the area, kind a hard to find. But as I said earlier, very friendly and very tasty. Overall: A-

Yelp
How did I not know about this place sooner! It's a lovely gem of a taco spot tucked away off of busy Washington Ave. They have plenty of Mexican favorites -- I got grilled shrimp tacos that were bomb! The burner sauce is delish. I didn't have one, but their margs are served in massive goblets. Looked fun and delicious. The small interior and patio space make it pretty cozy in there but we had no problem grabbing a table outside. If you're there with a group, they also have bocce ball and cornhole! I'll be stopping by again soon.
google avatar

Shell J.

Yelp
A low- key neighborhood taco joint if you don't feel like to cook or go for a fancy dinner. The tacos and beers are both decent.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
I guess this place threw us for a loop, service was good, the vibe was light, and the food was good but we didn't expect it to be quite as "quick serve" as it was. It's a small space and for where it's located I can see us doing takeout more than anything here or popping in for a quick bite and then moving on. The margaritas were massive and great! The smothered burrito was our absolute favorite though. Shredded chicken was stuffed full in there and the queso was fantastic. The primo tacos are the way to go if you're getting tacos. Overly packed with the goods! Won't go out of our way to come back as there are many other spots in the area but a great quick spot to pop in or pop out of if you want something quick or order takeout from!
google avatar

Yelp
Miss this place so much! Such a good spot. Cheap drinks. Good tacos. Humble. For a chain, this exceeds expectations.
google avatar

Ellie B.

Yelp
I love Fuzzy's patio for a nice night outside in the summertime! Their food is okay, but what we keep coming back for is the margs. They are super affordably priced especially for north loop, and we love the different flavors and combos.
google avatar

Sunwoo L.

Yelp
Excellent spot for a large group to grab dinner and drinks! nestled in the buzzy area of north loop, you could go here for dinner and bar hop afterward. being honest, I wouldn't come here just for the tacos as they're not that great, but the ambiance is stellar.
google avatar

Katy F.

Yelp
Fuzzy's!! I went to college at Iowa State University and we had a Fuzzy's right by campus, so I have been a frequent visitor of the chain for years now. I was ecstatic (bold, underline, italicize) to learn North Loop had a location! My main go-to options are the ground beef tacos (extra garlic sauce), any quesadilla, chips and queso, and, of course, a jalapeño margarita. The prices are right and this location offers a nice patio with yard games right outside. I would recommend stopping here for lunch, HH, or a quick & casual dinner with friends!
google avatar

Brooke R.

Yelp
I had to try the new taco shop in town, especially when I saw queso on the menu, and I highly recommend you head there too! The location is ideal, with the patio on a pedestrian square in the north loop. The moment we walked in, we could tell this was a friendly place to be. The bartender immediately greeted us and explained to order at the counter and then seat yourself. The cashier had a bubbly energy, and the manager/owner(?) was chatting with everyone. I ordered the queso with chorizo, a spicy pork taco, and a citrus heat grilled mahi taco. The food was fresh, fast, and tasty. And while they may have "heat" and "spicy" in the name, they were mild even for those with a Scandinavian palate. There's so much more on the menu to try, I'm looking forward to going back!

Becky A.

Yelp
Very tasty food in the North Loop. Great service and the prices are decent. Right by the corn hole and other games.
google avatar

Robert V.

Yelp
Had a ground beef burrito with queso and cilantro lime rice and the ground beef nachos they both were outstanding, portions were huge fresh and hot, i recommend Fuzzy's give it a try. Reasonable pricing.
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Solid little taco place in the North Loop, not too far from Target Field. The food here is very basic, not very exciting and not very "authentic", either. However, I have now been a couple of times on purpose. Why? Because the food, while dull, is well executed, reliable and gets the job done. I have had tacos as well as quesadillas. It just hits the spot without being pricey. The staff are friendly and unpretentious and the food comes out quickly. You come in, you get good food and good, fast service and you are on your way!

K J.

Yelp
Its always good. I'm a regular customer!! Very simple and flavorful food. And the people at the bar are nice. As long as theres always good vibes, good food i'll always be a supporter of Fuzzy's.

Yelp
I finally was able to slip into Fuzzy's on a weeknight, and totally understand why it is so packed on the weekends! Fuzzy's has a fun concept that I think serves North Loop well. I would call it fast casual Mexican good, but with a full bar! The closest thing I can think of to describe it is somewhat-like Torchy's in the south. ‍ We split a margarita which was quite large! I enjoyed it, but would warn they are quite sweet if you are a true margarita lover! We also tried two tacos and a burrito. I love how the burritos can be upgraded to be "smothered" with cheese. I thought the queso they used tasted amazing! However, I was a little disappointed with the amount of cheese (not quite smothered) given it was $1 extra. The pork was also very flavorful, and you get to choose your beans and rice inside. We also got the citrus heat fish taco and the beef taco. I loved the toppings and sauces on the citrus heat taco, but the fish itself had too strong of a fish taste. The beef was super tasty, and I was impressed with how fully loaded both tacos were. Overall, the atmosphere and location are fun, and the food is solid. I am going with 4 stars because I consider it to be a bit pricey given you order yourself at the counter and eat off of trays, and I think you could have a more formal dinner for the same price nearby. However, I had a positive experience at Fuzzy's and see why people love it.
google avatar

Susannah C.

Yelp
Last time I got Fuzzy's takeout I was slightly let down, but the sit down experience was much better. The beerita (frozen) is to DIE for, one of the best margs I've ever had. I also got the fried avocado taco which was amazing, and the tempura shrimp was also great. Split the chips and queso with a friend and their queso is amazing!
google avatar

Javi N.

Yelp
Really came to Fuzzy's with some sort of expectation. The Baja fish tacos were far from Baja. The Primo Baja was far from "California" heat and the lack of any sort of salsa in house was shocking. Wanted to add some sort of spice to the tacos to rid my taste buds of the blandness but all they had was packets of salsa and no spice at all. Definitely far from authentic and would hope they would try some authenticity. Good luck Fuzzy's

Yelp
Average spot that cures the craving for tacos, margs, and bites. Service is quick and efficient.

Yelp
Got to check out Fuzzys for dinner with a friend tonight and I have some thoughts that will hopefully be helpful before you go. Disclaimer that I know this place is newer and some places need a little to get their footing as a great spot. First impressions: location is super cool. In the North loop. They have some outdoor tables and chairs, limited indoor seating and a small indoor bar. Cool hanging lights outside and a great area for lawn games on some raised turf. I would say even aside from the tables and chairs there is additional outdoor seating on benches by the game area. Inside the colors and decor are vibrant and unique. You stand in line and order/pay and then they call out your number and you come to the window to get your food when it is ready. Looking at the menu It was refreshing to not be overcharged for a taco for once- hard to find these days. Further thoughts: I ended up ordering the Mahi salad $8 seemed like an awesome and fair price for an entree salad. However unfortunately when I got my food I understood as the size and contents were somewhat underwhelming. The mahi was tasty but not very much of it, and the rest of the salad just lacked- some romaine, a few diced tomatoes, and a little feta and cilantro. Kinda a bummer as loaded taco salads are my favorite thing to get at taco spots usually bursting with toppings and flavors. Positives/takeaways: Service was awesome- like really awesome. Everyone was friendly and attentive. There was one gentleman (thinking the manager) keeping the pickup window organized and even coming around checking in, and clearing plates for customers. His heart was in the work and I really want this place to thrive. One thing I often do when I feel I didn't make the best order is look around to see how others food looks. Let me tell you, two things stood out : nachos and drinks! The nachos were loaded and looked delicious. Drinks were huge, colourful, and festive. Start there and hopefully you will have a better experience than I did with my salad. I will be back and order nachos for sure.

Yelp
A very welcome addition to North Loop area. Perfect location for a quick meal, strong drinks, and probably cheapest meal you can in the area. They are located directly behind freehouse a a great hidden gem. Food is straightforward tacos, nachos, burritos and quesadillas. They even have all day breakfast tacos for those who are in the mood.Everything our group ordered no one had complaints all pretty straightforward decent tacos. They margaritas were all around $8-10 and HUGE! The owner Ed checked in on every table, helped serve and bartender- he's established a great atmosphere!!
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
Super fun chill atmosphere. The seating inside is limited but the seating outside is great! The food is cheap and honestly super good especially for how cheap it is. We got tacos (the brisket was amazing), queso, a quesadilla, and guac. Such a fun spot before going out and to have a couple cheap, but massive margs
google avatar

Devon C.

Yelp
The tempura mahi / shrimp tacos actually make me cry because of how good they are lol. The garlic sauce is so good and they are just overall simple perfection. I also love the drinks here. 1000/10 I go whenever I am able
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
Average food. Understaffed. Hopefully, these guys figure it out and find a rhythm in the months ahead. Perfectly fine if you're in rush and need to solve for a taco fix in pinch. However, this is by and large a standard chain food experience but without the quality ingredients of Chipotle or the fun guilty pleasure experience of Taco Bell.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Was here for a work trip and stopped in for a quick dinner. Very yummy tacos and drinks and a laid back relaxing atmosphere. I'd definitely come back here again.
google avatar

Rishi S.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to place when I first moved to Minneapolis when I was too lazy to cook . It did the job and their dr. Pepper brisket taco is delicious

Trudie P.

Yelp
Food was fabulous and extremely affordable. Our server was very nice and well acquainted with the menu.
google avatar

Johannah S.

Yelp
Wow I'm amazed I haven't tried fuzzys until today! 10/10 recommend. The breakfast tacos were AMAZING. We also got the bacon egg potato cheese burrito and that was 5 stars too. Great vibes, great customer service and they have yummy sauces. I will be back
google avatar

Laurie C.

Yelp
We have ordered to go food here a couple times and both times our order was messed up. Most recently our rice was forgotten and our tacos were mislabeled. We like the food but are frustrated with the service.
google avatar

Tony I.

Yelp
This doesn't feel like a true Fuzzy's. Please use your local breweries to your advantage by adding more beergaritas to the menu. Still, it's tiny and you can really only do so much to improve it. As a huge Fuzzy's fan, this was quite the let down.
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots! Affordable and a menu with lots of options. Their chips and queso are so good. The seasoning they use on their chips is amazing. I typically get their chicken quesadilla and it's a good size too. Typically get two meals out of it.
google avatar

Alexandra M.

Yelp
We went to fuzzys on National taco day and had great low cost and YUMMY tacos. we got chips and queso too and it was so good. The margs are also so cheap and yummy. The shop is in the heart of north loop so parking is all street or garage and paid but there is plenty. The location is awesome if you want to go to other places around the area too! I will definitely be back here soon!
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
The nachos delivered!!! I am a big fan of Fuzzys whether it's a drunk taco run, delivery to home, or come in and dine.staff is super friendly and guide you through the menu if you are unsure what to get/try. Their drink menu is full of fun and different margaritas and cocktails and beer. Inside is small. I wouldn't come with a group larger than 4. Great addition to north loop. A bit more low key vibe compared to its neighbors and fills a gap!

Mark O.

Yelp
Some great tacos, but be warned it's a better alternative to Rusty Taco (R-Taco) with similar fusion offerings. This is not somewhere to go if you want Mexican tacos - these are gentrified tacos. That being said- we come here when we need a cheap bite to eat and want to sit outside or in the North Loop square. I love the mahi mahi tempura tacos and the brisket tacos!

Cade M.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night. Ordered 2 house margaritas and two burritos. Margaritas were absolutely terrible. They were premade in a large container and poured out, we clearly got the bottom of the barrel. Watered down mix and barely any tequila. Plus, almost no salt on the rim. I ordered brisket burrito and it was fine, nothing special. Service was ok, nothing great nothing awful. I have no clue how a Mexican place can mess up a margarita, but here we are. We won't be back.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
This is a great location and concept - a taco place is always needed! Unfortunately, Fuzzys is not it. We stopped in on a Friday night, no one in line really. We ordered a few tacos, margaritas, and shots. They have shots on their menu, so we weren't ordering something they wouldn't know, but it was such a mess. They were asking us what exactly it was (how would we know??) and they couldn't find it in their system so rang it up under a different drink, that was MORE expensive!! It was just a warm mixture of different alcohols. The margs were disappointing with no salted rim. The tacos were devoid of any flavor. The staff were complaining that people were still coming in so close to closing time, when there was still 30-40 minutes left before they closed.
google avatar

AJ S.

Yelp
We arrived at 6 pm on a Thursday evening, and were able to easily get a table for our group of four (which in hindsight should have been a warning, since The Freehouse was packed). They had a nice little patio, lawn games, and clean tables. All good omens! Our food was ready within 10 minutes, which is really common for taco places. My friends enjoyed their meals (different items than what I ordered), but unfortunately my tacos were unremarkable and flavorless. Even after dumping an entire packet of "butt burning" sauce on each taco (one packet per taco), the "spicy" pork tacos were so bland that I gave up halfway through the second of three. They were dry, tasteless, and not the savory carnitas I've come to know and love that grace most street tacos. Additionally, the mound of lettuce (bigger than the meat itself) did nothing for this flavor experience. Just so many things to reconsider about this menu item.
