"With a simple ring of a doorbell, you are transported to an elevated dining experience set in what looks like someone’s home. It starts in the Scandi-inspired sitting room for canapes and aperitifs; then, dinner takes place around an impressive open kitchen, where you are greeted by the chefs before service begins. An array of dishes showcases the blend of Asian and Scandinavian influences that make great use of the finest luxury ingredients, such as shellfish from the Norwegian Sea and turbot from Brittany. The team’s craft and precision present a superb balance of flavour and texture seen across all the plates." - Michelin Inspector

FZN is a three-star Michelin restaurant with a unique menu priced at 2000 AED. To give you an idea, wines start at around 190 AED, and champagnes are around 500-600 AED per glass, though they can be much more expensive. Knowing this, you’re hoping for a memorable experience. I must admit, the service was impeccable. They Take you in different rooms, ensuring a different experience for everyone. While I prefer the classic dining experience, this approach was appreciated. However, the food was the main issue. Everything was good, but it fell short of the three-star Michelin rating. Most dishes were simply good and well made, but you could find similar food in many other restaurants without any star. The desserts were particularly disappointing. I have a strong suspicion that they don’t have a pastry chef. It seemed like the regular chef was responsible for them, and the level of quality was definitely lacking. Overall, I would give FZN a good rating, possibly one or two stars. However, I believe it’s overrated and overpriced. Everyone was so nice so I hope they can improve the dishes and especially the deserts, so I can come back someday but for now I will pass.

Culinary masterclass! Thoughtful cookery with emphasis on flavour. Some dishes look deceptively simple but have intense flavour and complexity from the masterful use of ingredients. Favourites bites from the meal being the langoustine claws in a spicy strawberry sriracha style sauce, the other part of the langoustine coated with crispy sushi rice, veal blini, the onion/almond/liquorice dish of course and the pistachio dessert. Special shout-out to the personable team (Torsten, Christopher, and many others who's names I can't remember...) bringing the experience to life. They really go above and beyond to curate a special experience with a very human touch, it's clear to see the passion and dedication that everybody possesses.

FZN was such a fun experience!! Everything was delicious and artfully prepared. The chefs did an amazing job- you can see the care and craftsmanship put into each dish. I don’t know how else to express how magical this place is… all I can say it was my FAVORITE of all the places we went to in Dubai, and I am so grateful to my loving boyfriend for surprising me with such a treat. We will definitely be back someday, and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone who wants an unforgettable experience.

FZN by Björn Frantzén. In 2018, I had the chance to visit the original Frantzén in Stockholm. Since then whenever someone asked me which restaurant truly stood out in my culinary journey, my answer was always the same: Frantzén and Ultraviolet. With Ultraviolet now closed, Frantzén continues to carry the mantle. Managing to get a three Michelin stars after only being opened for six months in Dubai is a statement by itself. In my opinion, this could be the best restaurant in Dubai. Polished and professional service, charming ambiance seamlessly showcase of Scandinavian and to some extent Asian dishes. The balance of portions, timing, and flavours were perfect. Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Average PPP AED 2000

BE CAREFUL WHILE EATING!!! - You might find pieces of plastic in your food! As the title suggests, I had a piece of plastic that I nearly ate in the dessert made with sea buckthorn berry (the orange one in the photos below). Unfortunately during the shock of the moment, I forgot to take any photos/videos of this. Instead, reported this to the female blonde Swedish server (cannot recall her name). Sadly, the only thing this server did was to say sorry and to bring me a new dessert. I was totally shocked that something like this could happen in a 3-star Michelin rated restaurant. What's worse was the lack of a genuine reaction of guilt or remorse and the lack of any compensation for this extremely negative experience. Even in a very casual, neighbourhood restaurant, plastic in the food would be a major concern, let alone in an establishment like this. Apart from the above incident, our food experience was not up to the potential standards of 3-star Michelin rated restaurant. As another reviewer mentioned, it was not possible to properly taste the actual food ingredient as these ingredients were usually showered in excess amounts of spices and fatty sauce. We had to drinks lots of water to relieve ourselves from the fatty, oily taste in our mouths. Indeed, some of the our favourite food was actually the appetizers served in the Living Room area as these were mostly plain and didn't include any extreme amounts of spice or sauce. On the positive side, the service and atmosphere were excellent. There were interesting choices such as the music and the playlist (Seven Nation Army!), which are quite different from what you would experience at similar restaurants. However, one thing that bothered us quite a bit was how some of the servers saw themselves and this restaurant. We kept hearing phrases such as "at this level of dining" or "when you are this level", etc. This came across as arrogant unfortunately. Specifically, the male, long haired Swedish server with glasses had this superiority attitude unfortunately (do not recall his name). So overall, a quite disappointing 3-star Michelin rating experience from our side.

One of the tastiest, if not the tastiest meals I have ever had. Each plate was like a piece of art. The service was equally in perfection to the food as we were guided through this amazing experience. The first time I would ever award a big Wow to my restaurant reviews. Its absolutely deserving of every of its three Michelin Stars. Even the music seemed to have been carefully selected to align with the meals and different wines. Very highly recommended.

An exceptional culinary experience highlighted by a warm and welcoming staff - a must-visit for any fine dining enthusiast Highlights include the French toast, onion soup, BBQ pigeon, freshly oven-baked bread, and a sublime pistachio dessert to finish. Every course was expertly created with exceptional ingredients... a well deserved 3 stars.

This was my first Michelin star experience. I’ve went straight to three Michelin star, I genuinely loved every single detail they put in the restaurant other than the food how loving the staff is how kind they are how passionate they are to their jobs. They made me feel like I’m at home . The kitchen has such a nice cozy home vibe to it the way they greet you the way they serve you the way they explain everything in detail. It just shows passion and love. The food was extraordinary I’m not gonna lie. They were one to 2 to 3 dishes. I didn’t enjoy as much, but the rest were simply a work of art so balanced, so artistic and very delicious. Everything they use is used for a reason. Absolutely amazing experience. I do feel like it’s for people who enjoy strong tasting flavors advanced food you could say. I definitely recommend this not only is it the best experience I’ve had in Dubai it’s the best experience I’ve had in my life Thank you FZN For this unforgettable night
