"G&O, Noble Square East Village West Town. A craft cocktail bar with a kick-ass marque sign, G&O is both a great summer patio destination and a cozy winter retreat. Did I mention they also have awesome food? Including an upscale bar menu and a burger that rivals some of the best in the city. Icing on the cake? The bartender has quite the playlist, rocking out to some of his favorite throwbacks - music that makes you want to sit down (or stand up) and hang for a while.TIP - Check out their website for specials! My favorite is 1/2 off bottles of wine Wednesdays :)"

"G & O, a West Town favorite since 2014, will close on Sunday for a brief hibernation. Ownership plans to reopen on Friday, February 15 with a remodeled interior and a new menu. Owners Chris Mitchell and Turan Yon also run the Aberdeen Tap in West Town. The bar, 459 N. Ogden Avenue, has a new chef. Ownership hired Deirdre Quinn, the opening chef at Fort Willow. That’s DMK Restaurants’ cozy restaurant and bar near Lincoln Park. The space opened in January 2018. At G & O, Quinn is revamping most of the menu but keeping customer favorites like chicken and waffles and the fried chicken sandwich. The menu should feature “street eats from around the world” that will mix with a new drink menu for “unforgettable pairings,” according to a news release. G & O, named for the intersection of Grand and Ogden, is a favorite for customers who don’t want to deal with the hype surrounding nearby West Loop and Fulton Market. The bar will close for 12 days before management unveils its new look. Sunday is the bar’s annual Super Bowl Sunday pig roast." - Ashok Selvam

I love G & O! Great atmosphere, hip cocktails, and spectacular food. The best part is you get all this in a small neighborhood bar. When the patio it is dog friendly and super comfortable. The walk from the United Center for Bulls and Blackhawks game isn't bad. There are happy hour and daily specials. How can you pass up half off food on Mondays? I go here all the time

This place is awesome! The food is delicious, the drinks are really good, and it doesn't matter what time of day you end up going! They have a nice little patio, which I've brought my pup to, and he loved it! If you're a Bloody Mary fan, make sure to get the one with their horseradish vodka, it's fantastic!!

Absolutely delicious! Such a fun spot to pop into. Very intimate bar with a great outdoor seating area in the warmer months. The food is very high quality and the drinks are fantastic as well. The service is very attentive and the staff was very helpful.

Hidden gem. I’m glad I was lucky enough to live next to this place for 5 years. Fantastic laid back atmosphere, particularly in the summer when the patio is open and the garage doors are rolled up. The burger is one of my favorite in the city, and none of the food or cocktails have ever disappointed. Great spot.

G&O is one of my favorite go-to places in the neighborhood. Excellent cocktails, small but decent craft beer list, and most importantly, GREAT food! Was there last night for date night where we shared brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and their butternut squash soup that was LIT! I never knew I needed butternut squash soup in my life before this! Check this place out!

I love this place. It is cozy with great music, good (but small) beer list, and some barrel made cocktails on tap. They have one of my favorite beer gardens in the city (dog friendly). The burger is excellent, of course, but the rest of the menu is really outstanding. The chef here is very talented and puts out food that is way above what you'd expect from a neighborhood tap. And definitely try the frozen coffee drink, it is epic. Thank me later. And to top it all off, the staff and service are excellent too. . Definitely a hidden gem.
