We've been here 3 times since it opened, and we've had good experience all three times.
Their lunch specials are great deals. It averages about 30 dollars and you get a combo of different popular items. They even offer lunch specials on weekends, which is awesome. We tried the galbi + naengmyun (can't go wrong with that), bulgogi + bibimnaengmyun, the grilled fish combo, and the ssambap combo. All were tasty, but if you want the naengmyun, which is their specialty, I'd go with galbi or bulgogi.
Service has been great all three times. Their banchan is very good and offers interesting options such as burdock root japchae and goong-chae (stem lettuce). Also, I have to give them props for bringing out beautifully well cooked rice. Fluffy, glistening, perfectly textured white rice is hard to come by in a busy restaurant.
Lastly, their Pyongyang naengmyun is definitely worth trying. Pyongyang naengmyun is known for a meat based broth and it is not sweet or salty. If you like the Yuchun style cold noodles, you'll be very disappointed, but if you want to try the Pyongyang style (so named since it originated from the city in North Korea), def give this place a chance. It can get strangely addicting.
It hasn't been too busy that you have to wait, which is another plus. Parking lot is available but you have to valet. A good option for family dinners in Ktown, we will be back for sure.
