Yelp
Gadzooks they offer some tasty enchilada choices at Gadzooks! But egads they don't just stop at enchiladas, they also offer tacos, stuffed poblanos, nachos, salads and soup. Goodness gracious, what possibilities!
Since it was my first time here I wanted to go with the enchiladas. Gosh, might as well since it's part of their restaurant name, right? I originally wanted to try the bison but the guy helping us out mumbled something about it not being available. Crikey what's a gal to do then? For the two enchiladas included with the order I went with the green chile pork and short rib instead then.
After choosing which tortilla you want them with (I had the 100% corn) and your filling, you can then choose your cheese(s), sauce(s), toppings, and salsa(s). Blimey if you must know (and I know you do), I had two types of cheeses (Asadero and Chihuahua**), Xmas style green and red sauce, pickled onions, cotija cheese, slaw, with pico, chile de arbol, salsa verde and habanero salsa on the side. Ay carumba that's a lot of stuff! I also added an egg for an extra buck or so. Too bad it wasn't on my dish when I checked out and paid! Sacrebleu! The guy making our enchiladas forgot to put it on my dish and had to walk out to where we were sitting to place it on top of my enchiladas.
Overall it was a tasty meal. If your meal is not though I suppose you have no one to blame but yourself for creating your own combination of flavors! I liked all the sauces, salsas and meats. I requested the egg over easy and it was more like over hard since there was no runny yolk. It is a bit pricey since the total for 2 enchiladas and an egg was a little over $10 with tax. Zounds!
Service was succinct. The guy making our meals didn't really give off a friendly vibe but golly gee, I wasn't expecting much from a fast casual place.
