"The bossam jungsik is what most first time diners order since the tender pork belly wrapped in lettuce is approachable and easily customizable, but more adventurous diners opt for the octopus bibimbap and the spicy raw marinated crab, yangnyeom gejang. Gaenali Bon Ga also serves Korean comfort food such as budae jjigae, or army stew, a spicy pot filled with ramen, kimchi, hot dogs, and tofu. Also try the monkfish soup and claypot galbitang." - Jenn Tanaka

Wanted to go somewhere that offered raw marinated crab and I have to tell you that this plans has it and does not disappoint. It tasted so fresh, a little sweet and spicy but oh my lanta it’s to die for. If you’re wanting to try it I definitely would come here if you’re in the area. I also got bulgogi as another dish and the food offered here are nicely portioned. Pretty big, flavorful and soooo good. Service was quick, great and sweet. It is a small little place but I would recommend calling if you were to bring a party of probably 6 or more. Inside it’s like a cute little dine in and not a huge restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and warming.

I went to this restaurant for dinner and the moment I saw all the customers were Asians, I knew it was legit lol. The food is really good and the customer is so nice as it is like a family restaurant that is run by some Korean family. I really like the galbi as it flavors is really fit my taste. The price is a bit cheaper compared to another Korean restaurant, I forgot the exact amount. We mainly came here for the raw spicy crab, I didn't try it but my brother and his girlfriend said it tasted really good but a bit too spicy. Overall, highly recommend to try it!

Google
We tried the galbitang and bibimmyun—both simple dishes, but they were so flavorful and comforting, like something made with a grandmother’s touch. The banchan were amazing too. The service really stood out; they kept checking on us, even during their lunch break. If we lived nearby, this place would definitely be a regular spot for us! Just a heads-up—it’s a bit warm inside, and the sunlight hits certain spots, but honestly, it adds to the cozy vibe, like eating at your grandma’s house in Korea.

Google
Delicious and authentically made Korean food. I can taste that they actually use the right base of anchovies for their broth and I'm happy that even their fermented bean soup on side was flavorful. Everything was done well. I liked that there were lots of options for fish dishes that aren't offered in every Korean restaurant. The banchan refills are nice. Prices range around $15-20 for most soups and even hot stone dish. Was pleased with this place, despite a bit if a long wait when ordering because they were busy.

* This restaurant looks really clean!!! * servers was all nice and friendly, very attentive. I was having a hard time to choose the menu and the lady bring out the paper menu that has picture on it for me, and it so much easier to see from the picture. * prices was really good for the portions. Big portions * Side dishes was fresh and all good. * clean restroom * easy parking * food was really good as well. Bimbimbap was so good, they bring a bottle sauce out for you to mix it yourself. Other restaurant usually only put some little portions of the sauce to mix inside the bimbimbap. The bimbimbap also comes with the tofu soup. * Seafood pancakes was super good as well. Really big portions, usually me and my husband cant finished the pancake anywhere. But here we both finished it all. It was so good. Full of flavor and top it up with the sauce. This place definetly a 5 stars restaurant!!! Definetly would come back next time !!!

Google
Last stop for me in cali, and this was the spot we picked for our Korean cravings. It didn’t disappoint! Truly reminds me of my mom’s cooking from the banchan to the bbibbimbbap! Both my parents and brother in law shared the same sentiment. Definitely feels like an old school Korean restaurant and loved the hot barley water!

Google
My first time eating authentic Korean food and I loved it!! The servers are helpful & polite. The food is delicious 😋 It was an awesome experience! I look forward to eating more Korean food!!

Google
Bossam, banchan, & gaenali gukbap. Comforting. What may sound like a simple dish of boiled pork, is transformed into an incredible wrap finished off with raw garlic, kimchi, peppers, and soybean paste to be the perfect method of food delivery. On a gloomy day this soup provided a warm embrace absolutely loaded from top to bottom with meats and veggies and bold flavors. Banchan here has surpassed a majority of banchan that I’ve had at any other Korean restaurant. Baekseju available too so it’s an obligation. Friendly and quick service to food, made the perfect formula to have me coming back. I’d recommend this over the vast sea of nearby korean restaurants in Garden Grove or just as a nice break from kbbq.

Yelp
Absolutely authentic foods Love it so much I eat there every day. The Octopus clay pot was the bomb. I recommend it. The ladies server were so nice.

J S.

Yelp
Authentic Korean restaurant! The restaurant has a hole in the wall vibe with attentive service. The food is really the star of the show. I tried their agujjim, aljjigeh (fish egg soup) which was flavorful and fresh. Price is reasonable and what you might expect. I gave it a 4/5 because they seem to close on random days without much notice. But once you're in you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Writing unfortunately without trying the food as i didn't even get to try it Walked in holding my baby at 5pm . an elder walks in after me.. He walks on in to the only empty table and sits himself Servers noticed i was waiting and asked how many in my party I said including the baby it will be for 3; she said to wait a bit A table came out and i thought she was cleaning it for me but another elder dressed similarly to the first elder just walks in and sees the empty table and seats himself I asked the server if that table wasn't for me and she says that it's a big party coming in (the elders) so i said that's fine but she should've explained in the first place... my baby was hungry and started to get fussy She said another table was coming out in another corner so to give her 10 minutes i looked and they haven't even gotten all their food Service doesn't have to be great since this is a small restaurant in gg but this was by far the worst; won't be coming back to even try the food considering how sloppy this service is

Yelp
Seating was fast, service was fast, food came out fast. Really satisfied with this restaurant. The side dishes were delicious as well. One thing that disappointed me tho is that my soup did not have any 고사리 (I think it's called Bracken in English?). Maybe the cost of it is expensive but the soup was still good regardless.

Yelp
Carving home cooked Korean food? Then you need to come here! All my favorites including bossam plate, galbi tang and octopus bibimbap! Service was good, our order was taken shortly after our group figured out what we wanted to order. Water/drinks and banchan arrived almost instantaneously . The place is no frills but you can tell it's legit by the amount of Korean folks dining in. We had a decent sized group of 5 and they easily accommodated us. There were other several big groups dining at the same time so larger parties might not be an issue. Though caveat we did go on a weeknight an hour before closing but we didn't feel rushed towards the end of our dinner. Parking is quite decent. Plenty of parking spaces shared in the plaza. Highly recommended!

Charlie N.

Yelp
Came here for a quick meal after being indecisive and our friend telling us this place had the best portions. PARKING: Average-sized lot, no issues at all WHAT I ORDERED: Daegi bossam Soft tofu soup THE FOOD: Initial thought - huge portion sizes! 2 tofu soups and the smaller daegi bossam were definitely enough to feed the both of us, and we were definitely full after. The pork belly was cooked perfectly, and veggies were super fresh. I was less impressed with the tofu soup; I'd rather go to BCD. The usual - banchan, purple rice, and fried mackerel - came with our meal. SERVICE: No frills, straight to the point, and fast. VIBES: Great place to catch up with friends or go with a few family members. BOTTOM LINE: Go here! Great serving sizes so I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a weeknight meal and don't want to spend a ton.

Erick L.

Yelp
Food: octopus bimbibap (9.8/10) Service: excellent. Kind Ambiance: casual The food was delicious. Everything tasted amazing. The side dishes were really good.

Yelp
I was looking for some good quality raw marinated crab and I didn't want to travel alllll the way to LA area to get the goods. It was a difficult find but I think I've found a hidden gem! It was a pretty quiet night the day we went. We received the food quick and it was so delicious! This restaurant is tucked between a nail studio and a barber shop, they have their own little private lot. Seems to be plenty of parking!

Kat N.

Yelp
This lowkey spot is AMAZING! No wait, fast service, big portions and everything just HITTT. We got the army stew with ramen, beef bibimbap, tofu w/kimchi and galbi - that was a lot of food for 4 people. If I had to cut something out, I'd skip the bibimbap. All that food plus and bottle of soju with tip $190. We'll be back!

Kat N.

Yelp
Came on a weekday night for dinner, walked in with no wait. There were two to three other parties in the restaurant through the night. We had the bossam and short rib soup and both were spectacular. I've had bossam before and wasn't impressed but having it here, I'd definitely recommend. The soup was perfect as well: 3 ribs in there, large chunks or radish, and the clear noodles in a perfectly seasoned broth. The bossam came with two sides of purple rice and fermented soybean soup as well. The purple rice is the most unique one I've had in all my years of eating a K-town as it comes with a plethora and variety of beans in it. A deviation from the norm but not bad at all. We were just a party of two so there was loads of leftovers available for the meal the next day. The portions here are typically Korean so meant for a party of four or more I'd say. I had originally bookmarked this place to try the raw marinated crab and am looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu... although that bossam will be so tempting to get again.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
You know the Korean restaurant will be fire when you see mostly Korean grandmas and grandpas dining there. No wait at all on a Friday night, and everything was so delicious, and came out quickly. ~ Galbi-tang: The perfect, most comforting soup on a cold night with fall-off-the bone meat. So warm, flavorful and stayed hot in the clay pot until the end of our meal. ~Bossam: 2 sizes available! we got the smaller size which they say is for 1 but ordered together with another entree was the perfect amount of food for the 2 of us. Can never go wrong with pork, kimchi, and cabbage, it satisfied such a craving. Dishes came with purple rice (different from other korean restaurants!), banchan (the usual), and a yummy miso soup. I am curious about the marinated crab, so will be returning. Such an amazing meal, no wait, friendly and attentive service makes this place a 10/10 :)

Yelp
Tired of "waiting" at the other more well known busy Korean restaurants on Garden Grove Blvd, I ventured to Gaenali Bon Ka which is at the end of the main drag. Consistently good food and I've never waited more that 5 minutes for a table here! They have many different dishes, like soups, mandu and rice cake soup, galbi tang, grilled fish, bossam, bokum, seafood pancake, bulgolgi, and grilled short rib and chicken. Their panchan comes in metal tray, similar to the type of tray that you'd get in a Korean church after service lunch line. They mix it up a bit on different days but there are always five sides. Kimchi, kelp with red dipping sauces, boiled cabbage with bean paste, bean sprouts, greens, marinated radish are some of the things you might get. Bulgolgi Dolsot - I am often here by myself so I get this stone pot rice dish. I like to mush the rice into the side of the flame hot stone bowl sides so that it can get crispy. Then after a couple minutes of sizzling, I add in the gochujang and mix the bulgolgi (marinated beef) and the veggies (carrots, mushrooms, bean sprouts, white onions, green onions, mint) with the crispy rice. The meat quality is good and the bulgolgi has good, sweet and salty flavor. It's a lot of food. Sometimes I can finish the whole bowl, other times I can't. The do a great job on this Korean standard. The stone rice bowl also came with a side of soybean tofu soup. Steaming hot, not spicy. Service is good and friendly, the food comes out fast. If you want satisfying Korean food without the wait, Gaenali is awesome for that! They also do to go orders and they have their own parking lot with plenty of parking at dinner time.

Yelp
Our family of five were pleasantly surprised by this wonderful Korean meal. We were surprised there was no wait here on a Friday night, unlike other viral Korean restaurants in Garden Grove where people are loitering in strip mall parking lots for an hour to eat. We ordered the following to share: - Galbi Tang: my favorite dish, it's the best I've had! The broth was clean yet deeply flavorful and the short rib meat fell off the bone! Three hefty pieces were included. It'll be hard to not order the Galbi Tang every time I come here. The glass noodles were nice as well. The portion is enough for one person as a main entree. - Fried Mackeral: nicely seasoned and evenly fried, not too salty. Pairs nicely with the side of Purple Rice and various banchans - Spicy Beef Soup: also a lovely soup with plenty bean sprouts, leeks and beef. It was a huge portion, more than enough for two people to share. Would order this again as well. - Octopus Bibimbap - first time seeing this dish on a menu so we had to try it and it was great! Loved that the rice at the bottom of the stone pot was EXTRA crispy! Also appreciated the perfect ratio of octopus, toppings and sauce to rice. Well balanced dish that is absolutely worth trying! This was also a huge portion, perfectly for sharing. - Boosam: refreshing dish with perfectly fatty sliced pork and abundant sides of kimchi, cabbage, jalapenos and sliced garlic. We were all stuffed after this epic meal and the only leftover was the Purple Rice. Given the various beans and grains in this version of Purple Rice, it was too special to not save for later The staff were friendly and the ambience was clean and casual. The music playing reminded us of melodramatic Korean dramas which made for a relaxing and comforting dining experience. I look forward to dining here again!

Yelp
I thought I had written a review a year ago but here's a long over due one . 10/10 mom and pop store , we love coming here and are regulars! The food is amazing and very flavorful, if you're looking for a quick bite alone it's comforting the restaurant, A group of friends it's also the spot with large portions. We always see the same employees and they're so sweet and nice to us. You definitely have to try the bibimguksu , make sure to stir it all up , my favorite thing on the menu I once ate it 4 times in a week. Their meat dishes are really good we like to ask for ours crispy, and the soups are very flavorful !

Becky T.

Yelp
I came here for the spicy marinated crabs as my friend said it was really good and it did not disappoint!! Definitely spicy though. The portions are really big here, we had a lot to take home. The bibimbap was super flavorful though, I love that they added the mint leaves which gives it more flavor. The lady that served us was super sweet and attentive :3

Michelle L.

Yelp
returned here w/ family & it's as delicious as my last visit! we ordered the bulgogi bibimbap, bossam, & monkfish soup. all of which came out quickly & yummy. my parents were in love with the monkfish soup which is a big bonus! the service was sweet and attentive as always. i would recommend this hidden gem to anyone craving comfort food:)

Anny V.

Yelp
Everything looks delicious and it is!!! We ordered everything that we wanted to try and they are all delicious. Waitresses are nice and friendly. Side dishes are tasty. The ambiance feels like we are dining in a mom and pops restaurant from the k-drama .

Connie D.

Yelp
The best Korean food I've ever had in Garden Grove area. I dined once and order take out once. My items were: Bossam, intestines soup, and short rib soup. I applauded their packaging for take out orders. Very well wrapped and secured.

Kaylee K.

Yelp
Great food. Super homey mom and pots restaurant. When the place is full of old Korean grandmas and grandpas you know the food is going to be good. Sadly they were out of purple rice but the food was still really tasty. Food came out quickly and hot

Quentina W.

Yelp
This place is really a hidden gem! I was craving soup in the area and happened to find this place due to its raving reviews. I ordered the galbi tang and honestly it was the best galbi tang I had. This place is a mom & pops shop and all the ahjummas were so adorable!

Cece L.

Yelp
Great Korean food!! There's a lot of Korean food in the area, but this is one of the top places. Small hole in the wall place but service is good.

Michael S.

Yelp
Nothing glamorous yet this lowkey restaurant really hits the spot in my stomach. It's a type of place that I would never thought would been good and worth trying, but my expectations were just blown away. The vibes is like mom and pop shop. It felt homey for sure. Service was good. The auntie who served us was kind as well. She was great refilling our side dishes and water. Bone Apple Teeth! The food here is delicious. We ordered the Galbi-tang and the spicy Octopus bibimbap. The ribs was yummy to the bone. It was very tender and easy to cut off from the bone. The brown sauce that came with it was a good combination of flavors. The soup has garlic and onion flavoring; probably was cooked in the broth for a long period of time. I slurped up the soup like it was soda. Initially, I was kinda hesitant with the octopus bibimbap, but my girlfriend convinced me to try it. It was good choice and something new, lol. It's spicy hot like Palm Springs type hot. You guys gotta come through! Will be down to try the rest of the menu.

Leah D.

Yelp
AUTHENTIC Korean food in Garden Grove. I came here for one thing - marinated crab. I had seen videos of this dish all over social media and had to try it for myself. It was $30 , and I split with another person. Juicy, refreshing, sweet , spicy. It was excellent. I don't like eating a lot of raw food, but this was really good. I also ordered bossam- I've had better elsewhere. Would not order this again. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be Korean grandmas and grandpas , ensuring that I made the right choice to eat.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Very comfort food feel and flavor. Picky tried the dishes they are known for. Will definitely make it one of our staples. Parking adequate.

Cat N.

Yelp
This little restaurant has pretty incredible Korean comfort food. Although it's super casual and small they whip up some delicious dishes. I had been wanting to check it out for awhile and my husband took me last night. We ended up sharing the following: Marinated Crab- We got a small size which was $30 a plate. It came with gloves so you can chow down. The raw crab was sweet and fresh tasting. It was very flavorful. The spicy marinate on top was a little too much for me. They put way too much on the spice stuff in my opinion. It was good and a nice first time but I probably wouldn't get it again. Seafood Pancake (Pajeon)- Probably one of the best seafood pancakes I've had in a long time. It was perfectly pan fried but still thick. It had lots of goodies in it and I liked the sauce it came with. My husband loved it. Budae Jigae- This is their army stew. We paid extra for their ramen which is a must in my opinion. It had the perfect amount of flavor and lots of goodies in it. It was definitely shareable and we only finished half of it and took the rest home. It was perfect for that cold day. Service was excellent. The ladies waiting on us were nice and quick. They also took good care of us. We paid a little over $100 for both of us. I thought it was definitely worth it for amount of food we got and what it was. The restaurant is small. It was busy when we came that Friday night but no wait. I would definitely come back.

Cath L.

Yelp
I remember that their AguJJim was good years ago. so I went back, this time I was craving Bibimbop so I ordered. I knew that this is not their popular menu and it was at the after lunch peak time. I understand that the Rice may not be freshly made but it was so hard. tasted like cold left overs. I just want to emphasize. it is very important to be consistent all the time with every customer.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Stopped by this place after Disneyland and it was literally the perfect end to a perfect day. This is a small little hole in the wall spot that is now our new favorite Korean spot. We ordered the yuk gae jang and the marinated crab. They were both so flavorful and the best marinated crab we've ever had. They were also very generous with the side dishes that paired really well with everything we had. The service was also impeccable and they were very attentive in refilling our waters and sides. Food: 10/10 would definitely come back whenever we visit OC Service: 10/10

Yau-Ru C.

Yelp
Decent food. Liked the garlic flavor of the short rib soup. No refill on banchan though, disappointed. Service was fine, up until the very end. My friend and I sat around after we finished our meal and chit chatted. There was a couple other open tables and NO one was waiting for a table. The lady started taking away our plates so we got the hint. While we are finishing our talk, she started mopping the table while we are still sitting there and the crumbs started falling into my lap. Honestly, we weren't expecting great service but that was just a bit rude. Please don't mop while we are sitting there. We get your point and won't be back anymore.

Emery N.

Yelp
I got the Bulgogi Dulsot. The bulgogi was well seasoned. The gochujang was not too spicy and complemented the dish. The waitress did not come by often but came to refill water. The atmosphere was friendly. I saw many older Koreans eating there with their friends. It was not that busy on a Wednesday for lunch.

Alexcis N.

Yelp
I came here around 7-8 P.M. and got seated right away. The waitresses are very nice and hospitable and gave me my food right away. However, they handed me scissors that had mold growing in between the screws so I didn't use those. My friend and I ordered their spicy raw marinated crabs and tofu soup. The crabs didn't disappoint! They were so fresh and not fishy one bit, and it was such a good first time eating raw crabs. The tofu was okay. There was nothing special, but I appreciate how much tofu they loaded up. Tables started filling up quickly after we were seated and everyone else seemed to order the crabs too! This restaurant was small and cozy, but there was plenty of room to walk around.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I finally got to try raw marinated crab I've seen so much on tiktok, luckily there is one in Orange County! The marinated crab is so bomb! There is a sweet and spice flavor to it, it's not in the menu so you have to ask the staff to order. She was very nice and said to stick with the lower cost option it can feed two. I definitely recommend to try. First time trying bossom and love it! It's a great dinner choice! Very filling for two. It gets very busy on the weekends and the space inside is tight so go on an off time. A great place for casual dinner!

David X.

Yelp
I loved this place. Traditional Korean done no frills or gimmicks just cooked and served with love. Everything tastes great from the Banchan to the stews to the bibimbap. Fresh veggies, tasty broths that obviously were a result of a lot of expertise, generous portions of good quality meat and seafood, and a very helpful and attentive server. Didn't have a chance to try raw marinated crab this visit but it's #1 on my list on my next visit to Garden Grove. It's a very bare bones working class joint with little decor and Korean language TV on, which is a big ol green flag. Next time I'm gonna uber so I can enjoy with a little more soju.

Esther C.

Yelp
Authentic Korean restaurant. The servers won't always come back to your table to get your order; you'll need to flag them down to get their attention. All dishes are ~$15-20. Plenty of parking. Worth a try !

Thanh N.

Yelp
My friend recommended this place for delicious bossam, and I've gone twice because of him. The pork is tender, juicy, and fatty, and pairs extremely well with the light saltiness of the cabbage and the sharp acidity of the napa cabbage kimchi or radish kimchi. I usually don't like raw garlic, but it's a must for this wrap. Combined with some jalapeños and a bit of the ssamjang sauce, it really was the perfect bite. I really like the side dishes too, especially the soft tofu with spices. They are all refreshing cleansers between meaty wraps. You can request refills for those too, so that's always nice. The order comes with hot tofu soup, which can be eaten with rice. I find this to be only ok. I wish it has more meat, tofu, or veggies; it was mainly onions. Overall, would recommend this place!

Crystal K.

Yelp
Wonderful & friendly service (not always something that goes hand in hand in a Korean restaurant, in my opinion) and delicious food! I've eaten both in store and taken to go and the quality is the same, including the portion. Just delicious!

Felix D.

Yelp
Came here around 7:30-7:45 on a Thursday and there was plenty of seating. Food came out after 10 minutes. Ordered two dishes to share with a friend and it was more than enough food! The kongguksu had a light nutty flavor and the creamy broth clings to the noodles; it's the perfect summer dish. It perfectly paired with the kimchi pork bibimbap, which is incredibly flavorful with chunks of meat and veggies. Going back and forth between the two, it wasn't long before our bowls were clean. Would highly recommend!

Ruby C.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! Main reason I wanted to come here was for the raw marinated crab and we ordered the $30 one. Came with lots of crab and perfect to split with two people. It was the perfect amount of spice and the flavor was amazing! We also ordered the beef broth with rice cakes and dumplings and it was also really delicious. Would definitely come back here to try their other dishes!

Vivian V.

Yelp
I recently dined at this Korean restaurant and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While the overall taste of the food was decent, I was a bit disappointed with the portion sizes, especially for the short ribs which were quite pricey at $31 for just a few pieces. The bean paste stew was okay, but nothing special. One dish that stood out to me was the spicy marinated crab - it had a sweet flavor which appealed to my sweet tooth. However, even this dish came in a small portion. The grilled fish and ribs were also good, but again, the portion sizes left something to be desired. The banchan was a bit lacking as well, with only kimchi and salads being offered. I've had better banchan at other Korean restaurants. On the plus side, the restaurant itself was very clean and the service was okay. The restroom was also clean and well-maintained. All in all, I would consider returning to this restaurant solely for the marinated crab. Perhaps I'll also give the bibimbap a try next time.

Diem D.

Yelp
Seafood fans rejoice! A delicious example of the restaurant's dedication to culinary perfection is their dish of raw crab. At Gaenali Bon Ga, the raw crab dish is a wonderful masterpiece. Every mouthful explodes with flavor. The flesh is subtly sweet with a hint of brininess. It comes with a variety of tasty sides and condiments. I enjoyed the kimchi and dipping sauces. Excellent service is provided at Gaenali Bon Ga. The staff is welcoming, educated, and really enthusiastic about their food. They give attentive service and are available to provide advice or respond to any queries you may have. While the raw crab dish is the star of the show, Gaenali Bon Ga also has a varied menu with other mouthwatering choices. We tried the octopus bibimbap and bossam dish, which was great, comparable to mister bossam in rowland heights when you dont want to make that drive. Definitely reccomend!

Kai L.

Yelp
Authentic Korean food, with an amazing atmosphere and fantastic customer service highly recommended.

Jessie Z.

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem. The plaza its in can be easy to miss when you drive past as its small. There was parking on a Friday early evening, around a handful of spots in the front. The business was empty, but I saw a lot of regulars come in to pick up a meal. At the moment their cash register was having problems, so I recommend having backup cash. The staff are sweet, accommodating and seem to have a great relationship ( the manager shared ice cream with all the staff). Very authentic. I got the hot stone bibimbap as my fav. I'm not sure if it comes with meat but they were nice enough to add some. The beansprouts paired perfectly with the crisped rice and you can put as much sauce/sesame oil as you want. The regular bibimbap also came with a colorful array of vegetables. You also get a small side of soup that was on the spicy and umami side. My fav side dish was samjaang with the blanched cabbage. Overall, recommended for smaller groups, chill vibes and a home cooked esque meal. They allowed us to bring birthday cake and even put it in the fridge which I appreciate.

Jared F.

Yelp
My experience here was great. This is a super authentic, down-to-earth Korean place with a kind staff and excellent service. The main course, side dishes, and stew were yum and incredibly filling. The one downside customers should know ahead of time, though is that they currently only take cash. Order: I got the Bossam which was super yum and filling. The pork was tender and went well with the dish. My friend ordered the Bulgogi Dolsot and loved it. It was so large he couldn't finish and had a whole second meal for another day!

Yelp
AHHHH SPICY RAW MARINATED CRABBBB!!! Not many places near me sell it so I was really happy to come across a place only 20 minutes away from my house that sold it. The restaurant gave off a mom and pop vibe and our server was really sweet. The spicy marinated crab here is sooooo good! We saw this place on TikTok and had to try it out. It definitely did not disappoint. The seasoning was perfect; a combination of sweet and spicy and overall deliciousness. They currently have a deal going on for the crab. You can choose from their $30, $60, or $100 selection. On top the crab, we also wanted to try other dishes on their menu. We also got their galbi and their seafood pancake. Both were splendid. When the seafood pancake came out, we were both shocked at the size of it. It was huge and honestly sooooo good. Worth a try.

Yelp
*February 2023: Saturday Evening Visit** My friend and I wanted some authentic and delicious Korean food to end a long day of shooting. The restaurant resides in a small strip mall and everyone there (staff and patrons) were all Korean, so I figured this would be a good spot to fill my request. After looking at the menu my friend and I decided the share the following: Hot Stone w/ Octopus, Vegetable and Spicy Sauce ($21.99): This was fantastic! It's like kimchi fried rice, but you mix everything together and the bottom of the rice kinda sticks to the stone pot and it give a nice crispy/burnt texture. There were ample large bit size pieces of Octopus. I didn't find the dish spicy, but it did have a more kimchi spice type of flavor. I really enjoyed this and would happily order it again! Pancake, Flour with Seafood, green onion ($23.99)The Seafood pancake was a little doughy for my taste and I think the onions would have taste better if it was charred a bit more before going in the batter. I'd probably skip this next time, though it wasn't bad Some of the other tables had interesting dish including a fish stew and another table had some type of noodle dish - so I definitely want to try those on my next visit! Enjoy!

Yelp
Come here for authentic Korean dishes! It's another small restaurant that can be easily missed. Luckily it wasn't busy when our group of 9 arrived, so upon being greeted they were able to accommodate us. Once seated, they brought out a ton of banchan for everyone. Shortly after we were ready to order and once we placed our orders, it didn't take that long for all of it to come out considering our group size. We ordered 2 Daegi Bossam's to split amongst the table. The bossam is pretty good, I'd rate it a 4/5. As for my individual dish, I got Yookgae Jang. The serving size looks huge and it was delicious. After I was done with everything, I was so stuffed. I love it here :)

Yelp
This is a cozy family owned place. It is clean and spacious inside. Banchan is served in a school lunch tray, not sure if it comes with free refills like other places because they never offered. They have 6 different options for grilled fish combo that comes with bean paste tofu soup. I like the bean mixed with purple rice as well. Food is fresh and tasty. No wait on weeknight.

Yelp
Got the Dolsot Nakji-Bokkeum (돌솥 낙지볶음) it was pretty good! Side dishes were pretty good too. Everything is a bit on the more expensive side, but portions are big.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and there was no wait time on a weeknight! This place is not a fancy dining spot, but service and food are both good! Seafood pancake: A good variety of seafood here, from squid to mussels to clams topped with green onions. I just wished the pancake was a little bit more crispy and I'd rate it 5/5! Aside from it being a little soggy, the dish is one of the top. This usually takes about 20 minutes so I'd suggest to poce an order for this right when you are seated. Bossam: Served with boiled sliced pork belly, cabbage, kimchi, radish kimchi, jalapenos, picked garlic. The bossam was missing the sliced pickled radish and I think that would make each bite taste better, but what do I know? Just my preference. Lol. The pork belly was good, but not as tender as I thought it would be. Cutlassfish: panfried and perfectly seasoned! However, be aware of all the bones on this fish. Cold noodle dish: angel hair-like noodles marinated in some sort of red paste. It was served with a side of spring mix. This is a dish I recommend ordering when dining here!! And overall, my favorite dish ordered. Service is great. Plenty of parking. A little pricey.
