While I didn't stay in the rooms themselves, I had the pleasure of going for dinner and a swim and I must say the place is gorgeous! The views from the restaurant balcony are spectacular and you can really appreciate the beauty of Belize's Mountain Pine Ridge in all of its glory. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful and served us exquisite meals and drinks. It's definitely worth the long drive back there. Highly recommend! I'll be back!

My husband and I started our honeymoon with 4 nights at Gaia, and it was the most amazing place either of us have ever been. The staff made us feel like the utmost VIP’s and were the epitome of hospitality. Colby, Rick, Greg, Demor, Javier, and Selvi just to name a few. We did the morning jungle walk, Xunantunich and Macal River tour, ATM Cave tour, garden tour (from Rahul!) and a riverside massage. Every tour was above and beyond, and we haven’t stopped talking about all of the memories! The restaurant and lodging accommodations were PERFECT. We most certainly can’t wait to come back and will recommend this beauty to everyone we know!!!!|Also special shout out to Coco — the most precious and adventurous property dog! Coco joined us on our jungle walks and at the river while we swam!

We stayed for three nights at the end of June and loved every minute. The food was fresh and delicious, with ingredients straight from the on-site gardens. Service was warm and attentive, and the location couldn’t be better—peaceful but close to fun activities. The hotel arranged a cave kayaking tour that was a standout experience.||Rooms were clean and comfortable, with great beds and a strong, hot shower. It was hot during the day but cooled off nicely at night, and we had no rain. I also spotted and heard over 20 bird species right on the property and along their private trail—perfect for nature lovers.||Getting there was easy with airport pickup/drop-off, good roads, and a smooth ride. On the way back (Saturday), we passed tons of locals enjoying BBQs, which added a fun cultural touch.||The friendly resident puppy made the stay even more special—leading little tours and making us feel at home. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying at Gaia for our honeymoon! It was such a unique experience at a serene and peaceful resort. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff! Every single employee was welcoming, genuine, and accommodating. ||An unexpected highlight for us was when the nighttime security guard, Chris, offered to show us some close-up magic one night after dinner. It was such a fascinating and personalized show, and we still cannot stop talking about how mind-blowing some of his card tricks were. This was a show we would have paid money for, yet Chris just did it because he enjoys magic and wanted to share it with us. Maybe one day it will be an activity/experience that they advertise for at Gaia because it truly was that good. It was amazing, impressive, and very memorable! ||From being served lunch down by the breathtaking waterfall, to having our private day tour of Caracol, this trip was so special and we are already wanting to plan a trip back.

We came to Gaia to escape the busy streets of New York City and were more than satisfied with how remote and calm the setting was. The secluded nature of the hotel did not overshadow the level of comfort and luxury of the experience. The backdrop of the stunning rapids and rainforest provided a relaxing an experience as any beach vacation. We enjoyed discovering the various unique angles from which we observe and photograph the river, including our private porch, the multiple tiers of dinning areas, and comfortable seating located along the paths. ||Highlights of our dinning experience included the Sweet Corn Agnolotti, surprisingly refreshing cocktails made with peanuts from our server Freddy's farm, the best churros of all time (we have waited on line for hours in Madrid for a supposed competitor for this title, and trust us, there is no competition). We have never had a | farm to table meal where we could walk right from breakfast to the garden where it came from. ||We chose a good mix of more active and more relaxed outings. The beautiful rock formations and history at Barton Cave are not to be missed. Likewise, the Mayan culture tour was a unique lens into the local way of life and we thoroughly enjoyed the pottery, tortilla, and chocolate making activities. Our guide, Rick, was full of valuable insights and made the drive entertaining and informative. ||If you are looking for a vacation that combines both adventure and tranquility, make sure to add to Gaia to your itinerary!

The Gaia Riverlodge is perfection. Truly. This was a last minute planned trip, so I had a lot of questions about the tours to make sure I picked the best ones for my interests and booked them. They were very quick to respond with answers. The same with the front desk, they were wonderful. I booked the airport pick-up and drop-off. From the moment they picked us up at the airport until the moment they dropped us off, we had THE best experience. Everyone was so friendly, and I had fun chatting, getting to know them and the area. The lodge and the location is beautiful, from the decor to the natural spaces. I loved going down to the Five Sisters Waterfall at the end of each day to soak in the water then read and relax in the hammock. Every meal was delicious and the food is either from their organic garden or local farms. The chef and the kitchen are really talented (I especially loved their nightly focaccia bread!). We were so lucky to get two tours with Rudy who is a fountain of knowledge on the archaeological sites and introduced us to so many birds! The room was beautiful, spacious and clean with a deck to enjoy the gorgeous views and the many delightful sounds of nature. I hope to return to Gaia in the near future, it's a whole experience. Book your stay with them, you'll have zero regrets.

This experience was breathtaking. We came for only 1 night on our trip to Belize but should have planned to stay longer. The staff was amazing and our favorite part was the black lab, Coco who lead us on a hike to a remote waterfall. We also enjoyed swimming in pools below the 5 sisters waterfalls where they brought down food and drinks for us. We were only one of 5 groups of guests staying at the time and the entire experience was so intimate and luxurious. We stayed in the ridge cabana and woke up to a view of the rainforest with coffee service in bed. I can’t wait to go back.

We LOVED Gaia Riverlodge! It could not have been more perfect. The people, the setting, the guides, the food, the cabanas, the service -- everything was exceptional. I've stayed at a lot of nice places but I think Gaia is my new all-time favorite.
