Everything about this place was amazing, very good price for the lunch buffet with some really good meats. Great sides too. Riley was an awesome server, she was really really friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful environment and just really tasty in general. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

She kept our grill perfectly clean, made sure our drinks were always full, and genuinely made our meal feel extra special. Her energy and attention to detail took our experience to the next level. Hands down, the best Korean BBQ on the West Coast. Maybe even the best all-you-can-eat restaurant. It’s that good! Other comparable options I’ve had keep the food coming too slow, and the burner too low to keep you eating. Next trip we could likely be happy eating mounds of the short ribs and spicy pork bulgogi. Everything else is good to try. Plenty of sides, rice, kimchi, etc. Absolute must go if you are visiting or near the area. If you aren’t from here, and happen to stumble across this restaurant on google, get moving!

It was wonderful! The table we had was semi-private as were all of the individual booths. The food selection was excellent and it was wonderful cooking it in front of you on the table. Definitely a great place to go on a first date. Definitely also worth paying the extra few dollars to get the premium meats! Yes, you're going to walk out of there over $85 with drinks for the two of you, but it is totally worth it! They also have a lunch menu which is not as expensive. That will probably run you around $50 for the two of you.

Food was good (nothing too crazy or special) - the kimchi and cucumber salad was my favorite. The meats were underwhelming. Salad was meh. Popcorn chicken was good! - Service was nonexistent - (very bad). Took a very long tome for anyone to even approach our table and take our drinks. Then the server was irritated with few 2 additional requests 🤷🏻‍♀️ - Whether food is great or not, it’s usually the service that wins people over. I didn’t care for this experience.

Just had the AYCE premium option here and it was great. They have two Wagyu options for $63. One is Japanese. The other is Australian. Overall, the service is prompt and the meat comes out fairly fast. Although the premium options seem to come out a bit slower, nevertheless recommend this place for a great all you can eat meal. I also like that the exhaust fan is close to the fire so you’re not covered in smoke the entire time.

All in all, I can say that this Korean BBQ was delicious and well worth trying. I will be returning in the future with friends when we can stay much longer! I loved it but can only rate it 4 stars as I will list below. The entry price per person is pretty steep but the buffet style and delicious cuts of meats definitely make it worth it. The experience is very nice. You order all of your food and drinks from a tablet at the table, and the chefs portion the food before it is brought out by a robot with the help of a waiter occasionally. Unfortunately, part of the experience is that you can grab the food that you ordered off the robot on your own (which sounds amazing, until the robot stopped at another table and a lady thinking our meal was hers stuck her fingers into our food while holding the plate and then putting it back). The store atmosphere is not fantastic. Pretty standard, at least where we were sitting, and the robots constantly sing a five second song on repeat - which gets irritating when three or four robots are all singing at separate times. The best part of the dining experience however was the food. While some of the meat cuts were not great, almost all of them were fantastic and extremely delicious. The food comes with sides, however our sides looked like they had been sat out for a while and begun to dry due to the heat from other tables. You cook the food yourself to exactly how you would like it and there are tiny seasoning trays that you can use to flavor the entrees exactly how you want. With all that said, I would suggest at least going here once to see if it is somewhere you can see yourself eating at again. It's a very fun experience and I can see it being a very good option for a group of people who want to talk and relax while eating very good food cooked by your own hand. Just make sure to cook your chicken extra well!

Gaja is a hidden gem among the SD all you can eat genre. I have had a lot of all you can eats, mostly the ones on the convoy street. Gaja different offers a different perspective and a fresh tasting. We selected the most expensive plan, 50+ but all you can eat on Japanese Wagyu. Most of the places I went to they put a limit on the expensive meat dishes, but not at Gaja, you can order as many as you want here. We in total had 3 plates of the wagyu. They are absolutely delicious! Do note that Waygu are very fatty and marble meat, if you feel like they are too greasy for you, I think the normal plan will be a better option.

If oside wasn't so far for me, I would come here all the time! The food here is fairly priced for the quality. I love that there are oysters and scallops. The beef belly is my fave cut here. Please don't ever change the quality! Please add soups to the menu. Would elevate the experience!

However, there's a small catch: the restaurant charges an additional fee for large tables, and still had the audacity to ask for a tip, which felt a bit off. In Korean BBQ, the diners do most of the work (cooking the food), so I thought it was a bit greedy to charge both a large table fee and suggest tipping. Also, the cost for a trendy spot like this can feel a little high, especially when you're doing the cooking yourself. Me and my friend came here for a meal after starving at the safari park and it definitely hit the spot. The meats were pretty good quality for ayce. My favorite was the brisket. Some of the lettuce wraps they brought out tasted like soap tho and had little dark brown spots but I just ripped those parts out. It was really busy here so service was kinda slow and they did forget some meats but it wasn't really a big deal to me. I do like the fact that there's no loud EDM music playing LOL And the set up of this place is pretty cool too! Super packed tho, don't come at prime time dinner on a Saturday like we did.

Gaja's my goto kbbq place. The meat quality is always so good and the banchan is awesome. I noticed the time before this that they added an extended menu for higher quality meats but the regular menu is a solid staple. Service is super fast and the cat serving machines are cute and helps with expediting. Gaja is always clean, great for small and large parties, and overall a great restaurant. My first time coming here for an early birthday lunch with my best friend . Everything is ordered through a touchpad and a robot brings over the food. We ordered the steak, bulgogi, spicy pork belly and the brisket . My 2 favorites were the spicy pork belly and bulgogi which were flavorful . Our server was great and not too loud inside. The lunch menu is limited and wished the short ribs were on the menu. Also there is no steamed egg like other ayce Korean bbq spots. Asked for dessert but no dessert menu and I mentioned it's my birthday and brought over a cheesecake with a candle and the robot singing happy birthday. Will have to come for dinner next time.

We have been on a Korean BBQ kick lately. We wanted to go out to eat in Oceanside and decided to get some Korean BBQ not too far from our Airbnb. It's located in like a big business plaza, so parking was not an issue. As we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess who was extremely nice and sat us at our table. I actually made the mistake of using the restroom before being seated so I missed the instructions on how to order and how to retrieve our food from the robot that brings the food to your table. Make sure you have an understanding of how, what and when you can order and what the waitress actually does and doesn't do. My mom is 75 years old and doesn't know anything about ordering with what she considers, "new technology" and I have a 5 year old and 7 year old who don't understand anything outside of Minecraft & Mario Kart. It was a mistake on my part but we go t through it. So, you can order up to 6 things at once and I guess I was supposed to order the 5 rice bowls with the waitress but because I ordered them through the digital kiosk, it only allowed me to order one meat. You can't order anything else until your recent order is received and then you can place another order. Once we understood that we were good! Another issue was we didn't understand what food was ours and what food was for the other people with the robot that brings out the food. At first I thought the robot just brings your food but apparently, it brings out food for different tables on different tray levels and sides. There are directions on top of the robot explaining where your food is located on the robot. Lastly, I don't know if it was because they were close to closing but finding our waitress was extremely difficult. I don't know if they rely on the digital kiosks and robot so much that if you need them to turn your heat up on the grill, it takes 5 mins. We finally found her and she turned it up for us. As for the food, it was all fresh, and seasoned well. There were no complaints and everyone was pretty satisfied with what was ordered with the bulgogi being the clear winner. The place was huge and very clean and when we did interact with our waitress, she was very nice. Overall, I would return and try one of the premium meat packages. The table next to us was eating some nice meat cuts that looked delicious. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

We chose the $31.99 tier and the options/selection of food offered is a pretty good deal. Ribeye, jowl, tongue, LA ribs, etc already makes it worth it. You order on the iPad and the food comes out on robots. The service can be slow at times. However overall the service and price is a pretty good deal. There's some issues with meat quality. When our beef belly came out. The color and smell seemed liked it was close to nearly being bad. The pork jowl that came out had a strong pork odor when cooked. I absolutely love that they offer woodear mushroom as part of their banchan offerings.

Food delicious, amount of fish was quite a bit. We had the beef bulgoji and spicy shrimp. Smoked oysters...yum!! It was a lunch crowd today. Everyone focused on food and their families. Very good service. Do it again!

This was my third time coming here and all 3 times I've been dissatisfied. It's just not good to me. Last night we Came her for my sons birthday because it's his favorite place. The table we were sat at wasn't even cleaned right there was pieces of food left on it. We had to have two plates and utensils brought over since we were a party of 4 and despite them just being brought to our table they were also dirty. The plates had left over pieces of rice and stuck on the napkin too. When I told the waiter we needed new ones she kind of gave me an attitude. My son's cup smelled like fish. Then the grill had gunk stuck in the openings like they don't clean them correctly and on top of all of this my husband and I have been having stomach pains and in the bathroom all night and most of today! Cool.

Confusing experience. It was good in the beginning. The meat was delicious and tender the first round and I really liked the tablet ordering system. Our server was really attentive and kind! The restaurant has a large space so it's great for big parties. We waited no more than 10 minutes to seat 5 people on a Saturday afternoon However, by the second round the meat quality drastically decreased, the meat was too tough to chew, and the robot servers kept delivering the wrong order. In addition, the restroom smelled so bad. They had 2 air fresheners but the smell was so unsettling. Everyone that walked in and out would complaint about it.

I love it! I have different kind of experience in Gaja which robot the one deliver the order, but still the waitress keep come and check on us, I may come back and eat here again.

6/29/25 We have now visited Gaja about a dozen times over the last year. This place is a solid 5 star restaurant. Every single time we have come here, we are treated nicely. The food is consistently good and the service is top notch. Tonight we were waited on by the nicest woman but I didn't get her name. She pays attention to every single little detail. I think she's Korean, but I'm not to sure. We love the beef belly. It has become my favorite but anything you pick off the menu is 100% GAJA is the place to be!

I used to Love It here Then started noticing how dirty it was, everything is sticky including the floor, and plates I really like the service, but the thing I don't love is that you have to get what the whole table wants unless you want to eat a whole order of one type of meat by yourself. For example if I want the bolgogi, but my table doesn't like that I have to eat the whole big order. I prefer to portion the meats myself. I've always noticed sometimes the seafood don't so fresh here, the squid is awfully chewy and inedible no matter how well I cook it. I have a new spot to go, the ambaince is nice and up beat, definitely fancier and not as authentic but I prefer other restaurants now Thanks for the good meals and good service just not my cup of tea

I made a reservation for 6 tonight for a special family celebration. I, have medical issues and can't physically eat and am on a liquid diet. Even though all I wanted to do was take up a chair and spend time with my family, they still were going to charge full price for NOT EATING ANYTHING! Luckily, SONU BBQ saved the day and have been more than accommodating. Screw Gaja. Go to SONU!

My family and I love this place! We come here on occasion and often have big groups! Today there were seven of us and my family can be a lot to deal with sometimes but our server was soooo kind! She was super attentive and made sure our food came out on time! Also if you come here you need to try the cheese corn! The robots that bring out the food are also so fun!

This restaurant is gorgeous! It's big and has different sections and tables. It gets busy at this location so I recommend to add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp, like I did :) Once you're sat, you can order your meats and sides from the tablet that's at each table. You can only order drinks and some premium meats through your server, that don't really come around as much. But when they did, they were very friendly and helpful in explaining the ordering process. They have little robots that bring your food that are just adorable. They even have turn signals and play you the "Happy Birthday" song to the birthday parties! Sadly, I wasn't too impressed with the quality of the meats or some of the sides for that premium pricing. It was still a cool experience overall.

Found this place on yelp as we were hungry after a day at legoland. I was able to put myself on the wait list via yelp on a Saturday night and it sent me updates via text and I could also check my line status on yelp app or link and also share the wait time with my party. The time frame was pretty accurate. We were party of 7. We were seated at a long table shared by others and had one grill for us 7, but it was doable. They have iPads at the table to order. They had the typical ban chans already placed kimchi, cucumber, mash potato, fish cake, etc. I always asked for sesame oil on my salt and pepper and then ask for a side of salt and pepper to season the food. Sides we ordered: White rice, Rice paper, Salad, Corn cheese, japchae, Karaage chicken (my son loved) comes with a Spicy red sauce Items we wanted but they didn't have: steam egg, fried rice, green onion salad, bibimbap, mandu Meats: Ribeye, brisket, beef tongue, short rib think slice, pork belly, oysters (2 at a time- they suggest u cook it first, we waited for the juice to boil to know when it was ready to eat. I asked for lemons and used their hot sauce). Oh for price, I didn't even see a price menu, I'm use to menu a or b for regular or premium. They royalty had it listed up front but I missed it. Instead they have a ruler and it says full price or half price. I think if you're 48" or below you're half cos my son just barely made it. Might even be 50". And we were there for dinner. Idk if they're open for lunch. So kids are about $116. So adults are about $32ea. I couldn't figure out in the iPad how to call for assistance. Oh and drinks u order from server. They have a private parking lot in front. Friendly customer service. I would go there again. Great price for the food u get.

The atmosphere is absolutely stunning and beautiful! BUT the food is pretty decent with little options. No egg. No ramen. The corn & cheese comes in a small aluminum container about the size of golf ball. I don't think it's worth spending your money here for little options. Great food tho.

Food has an exceptional taste quality and flavorful. Service was courteous and friendly. I especially enjoyed the robot waiters that go immediately to our table after placing our food order on the table's tablet to send to the kitchen. Ambiance is really hospitable. Worth the price as well for a group or small family!

We came in early and beat the dinner rush. Not a lot of items to pick from but meats were flavorful. Their banchan, sauces and sides could use a little help, but over all not bad. Very attentive waiter we got, food came out at a decent time. I would put this in the keeper. It was also cheaper than most places.

Being a local, this is our go to place for kbbq in the north county area. It's a fun environment for kids with the robots bopping around delivering food to different tables. It's a great place to bring friends and family for a different type of dining experience. Plus, it's all you can eat! So no need to stress about portions. Ordering is very easy and streamlined. The waiters still come around offen to change your grill, check on orders, and check on drinks. Whether you're eating some ribeye and pounding some soju or sake shots with your friends or having a Diet Coke with some garlic shrimp... this place has it all! Pricing is on the higher end, but it's worth it! I mean, all you can eat ribeye?!? Enough said.

Absolutely loved the KBBQ here, specifically their marinades for their galbi, spicy beef bulgolgi, and their spicy chicken bulgolgi. Everything was great, but these choices stood above the rest. I still enjoyed their steak, brisket, beef tongue, etc. Honestly what made me the happiest was their offering of rice paper. It's now rare to find at other newer KBBQ restaurants it seems. Our service here was great, even when the robot came to drop off our order. We had grill changes between each major order of meats which was incredibly helpful for grilling! My husband and I split a bottle of the lychee sake and my goodness it was good. Not overly sweet, but refreshing. Would go back just for this alone. While there always seems to be a long wait for this place, it's easy to make a reservation weeks ahead (if you know) or set reminders on yelp to remind you to join the waitlist for a certain time and day that you would like to eat. Parking is a little hectic just because it shares lots with Texas Roadhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings, otherwise it's easy!

Not Friendly at All. We made a reservation at Gaja Korean BBQ for dinner -- four adults and one 6-year-old boy. To our shock, they charged the child full adult price, nearly $40. Honestly, do you think a 6-year-old can eat $40 worth of food? We've been to many other restaurants before -- some offer free meals for children, others charge half price -- but we've never been treated like this. Their "half-price" height line is completely unreasonable. The kid was only 2 cm taller than the mark because he was wearing sneakers, yet they insisted on charging the full adult rate. This policy seems to discourage any family with kids over SIX years old from dining here. Despite having a reservation and waiting over 30 minutes, we explained the situation repeatedly to both the server and the Korean manager. They still refused to make any exception. I can only assume the restaurant's business is doing so well that they don't care about losing five customers. We left extremely disappointed, especially since it was already 8:30 PM and we had to find another place to eat during peak hours -- a miserable experience for people who were already hungry. This was by far one of the most unpleasant dining experiences we've had.

This was a FUN night out with the family. Good food and looking forward to visiting again with more family members when they come to visit.

Very nice servers, clean and great food . We go there as a family at least once a month and always great place to take our out of town visitor that you will never be disappointed

Overall good experience. But that wait time I'm glad I looked online before heading to the restaurant. Their wait time was already over an hour to an hour 1/2 by the time I was leaving work, plus side I meant I could take my time. So definitely make your reservation online! Once we finally got seated, there was 2 if us, so and I. Once we finally got seated we were greeted quickly by our waiter? He brought our drinks out very quickly. We had never been to this restaurant so he told us we could order the meats in the tablet that's attached to the wall. They have robots that deliver the meats/veggies/seafood to you. Some of the other items are hand delivered as well like rice. We tried a few different things, sort ribs had great taste but very fatty. Popcorn chicken was my least favorite with and without the sauce but other than that enjoyed everything. Grill was changed out by the waiter anytime it looked black after cooking. He was pretty consistent on providing refills as well. No complaints about the customer service. Would definitely return and recommend this place.

We enjoyed our experience a Gaja! The atmosphere is casual and bustling. If you don't have reservations, expect a long wait (+hour during busy times). The quality of the meat was really good (we went with the standard option), and grilling it at our table made the meal even more enjoyable. The spare ribs were the highlight and the spicy beef was tasty too. It's all you can eat, so bring an appetite.

If you're into ummarinated meat, this place is ideal. If you don't require eggs with your meal, this plance will suit you. If you don't mind watching news instead of sports, you won't have an issue. Aside from that, this is a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal. Service is excellent. Smokeless grills are perfect and you'll be able to wear the same outfit to work the next day lol. Reasonably priced drinks and food. Tons of options and all high tech. Spacing is a little awkward but don't let that bother your experience. Having another option for Korean BBQ is always good. Plus, with not too long of a wait, it's worth a visit. With a mix of humans and robots on staff you'll feel like you're dining in the fifth element. Good luck finding parking though, they are slim to none.

Gaja Korean BBQ is a new favorite! The meats were all super flavorful and fresh, and tell me something - have you ever had lamp lollipops at KBBQ?!! Absolutely phenomenal! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, and food delivery is quicker than usual due to the addition of kitty robot delivery as well! Great ambiance and very spacious for those larger parties.

I usually don't leave bad reviews, but this experience was just unacceptable. When we arrived, we weren't greeted or even acknowledged. The hostess/waitress, Natalie, was sitting in the front eating, literally licking and sucking her fingers while we were trying to talk to her. She didn't wash her hands or show any professionalism at all. Even after making eye contact, nobody said a word like "someone will be right with you" -- they just walked away. Later we found out that she might be related to the owner or staff, which makes the lack of accountability even worse. If this is how they treat customers walking in, I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Completely turned off by the whole experience. I won't be coming back.

Scam alert! The service here is great, the servers are always working hard to please the customer. Do not bring kids here though, they charge half price for your kid to eat 2 pieces of meat which is a scam!!! My son wanted McDonald's and I got him some but they still charged me half price for him

While visiting Carlsbad we stumbled upon this AYCE Korean bbq place.Great selection of meat and seafood. Place is clean. Price is reasonable. Galbi is included on their cheapest menu which is great. They have robots to deliver your meat. I only gave 4stars because their restroom needs a little bit TLC, it smells and needs like those spray fragrances.

We came here for a birthday dinner, it was our first time trying Korean BBQ. We used the waitlist feature through Yelp but it wasn't necessary, lots of open seating. We were seated right away. The restaurant was clean, large, fully staffed, with moody lighting. Service was great, they gave us a free slice of birthday cake too which was sweet. So you order six proteins per round. A little robot comes and gives you your food. My party of five went to town. My favorites were the bulgogi, ribs, spicy baby octopus, oysters, cheese corn, rice and cajun shrimp. I would skip the ribeye, pork belly, and the brisket. I'd suggest getting something pre-seasoned. Pro tip: cook some cheese corn on your oysters & sneak in a bottle of sriracha.

We had tried to come here before but it was super busy and the wait-list was about 2 hours long. This time, we got here at 11:30 am so we were seated immediately. This is our first experience with Korean BBQ so please see this review as an amateur exploration of the food. Their concept is All You Can Eat BBQ in 2 hours. It is $31 per person for dinner and weekends and includes everything. We started with the bulgogi beef, the spicy pork belly, the prime steak and the brisket. The bulgogi beef and the pork belly were delicious! The brisket was tasteless and needed a lot of salt and add any flavor. The steak took a while to cook but was actually very good. For Round 2, we ordered the garlic shrimp, the spicy calamari, the oysters and the vegetable calamari pancakes. The garlic shrimp was delicious. We couldn't figure out how much to cook the calamari, so it was either undercooked or overcooked. The oysters were not good. The pancakes were definitely the best! We had two of those. Among the extras on the table, the kimchi (cabbage, cucumber and mushroom) and the chili sauce were awesome. The kimchi mushroom is the best I've ever had, so I highly recommend getting this. It would have been nice to have some fried rice made in the same tray as where we had cooked the meat, at the end, but since it wasn't non-stick, that was not possible. The sake and the beer were decent. The robots bringing the food were fun. Our server was very nice and helpful. We definitely ate $31 worth of food, so this was reasonable but I would come here when you are super super hungry to make it worth the price!

Telling customers that they have 2 hours to eat put pressure on those who rarely eat out; AYCE. The waitress was excellent. The meats coming to the table was reasonably timed. 2 hours is plenty for most folks but let them know before they are inside the restaurant would've been better.

Happy to have a good AYCE Korean bbq joint in Oceanside. They make it easy with iPads to order from at the table and all food and sides included at $31.99 a person. They have the usual red and marinated meats but also some fun extras like spicy baby octopus and cheeses corn. Their scallion pancakes are much thicker than what I am used to but definitely fills that Korean bbq need when it hits!

We went to Gaja Korean BBQ to celebrate my nephew's birthday, and we had a great time! The restaurant offers plenty of indoor seating, and the atmosphere is fun and lively. They have three different menu options to choose from, depending on what you want to try. One of the most unique features is their use of robots to bring out the food--definitely a hit with the kids and a fun twist for everyone! Drinks and table bussing are still handled by friendly human staff. Each table has a built-in grill where you cook your meats and veggies. Overall, it was a fun, interactive, and tasty experience--perfect for a group celebration or just a unique night out!

Food is really delicious and lots of variety to choose from. Wait time is about an hour at a busy day which is normal for a spot like this so no need to give lower rating for that, they get you in as fast as they can. Service is amazing , I have ate here 3 times with 3 different waiters each time I have gone; and the waiter is always making sure we are good/ changing our pan when it needs to be swapped. The robot is quick too ! Ambiance dope also.

Food is delicious and and the atmosphere is so fun. Plus the robot kitty waiters?! Omg nothing cuter.

Our go to spot for KBBQ. Joined the waitlist around 7:15pm on a busy Sat. Night. We arrived at the restaurant a little before 8p. Told the host we were here and within 10 min we were seated. Food is always so good. You can order 6 proteins every 5 min using the iPad at the table. They have a robot server so the food comes out fast. (Pet the head and it will give you a reaction). Our waitress was very attentive removing our plates and changing out the grill. She only forgot to refill our water once but I'll let it slide since the place was busy. I highly recommend.

On our way to HoloHolo Fest in Oside. Love me some Korean bbq! Great selection for pescatarians with the salmon. As usual the food was good, service quick [Bot Delivery] and very attentive. The only downfall was they kept turning down the fire. I get safety and not having it smokey but it took longer to cook and I wasn't as full as I get eating at other Korean bbq spots. Place was clean, organized and well kept. It was great that they had the football game on. Lots of TV's.

We love Gaja, they have the best of everything for a reasonable price. I've been coming here for a few years since they've opened and have never had a bad experience. We've tried lots of kbbq spots in socal and this one is still always the best!

Saw cockroaches while I was waiting at the bar, left and will never ever go back!!! They didn't even have a clue I was there. Horrible!!!
