I had a Turkey burger on a gluten free bun and sweet potato fries. Also the gluten free cookie. Very good with gluten, dairy, and beef allergies.

Google
A lil too salt less and spice less for Indian tongue but hey it was fresh and I could always add salt and pepper to my pesto Alfredo . I wish it were slightly warmer though . The AC was full blast . I did like the cute Easter eggs and other decor . Husband liked his Buddha bowl

Went in for lunch while visiting town. Delicious food and typical price. No name brand products, they use alternative (healthier?) brands. We got a kids meal and two adult sandwiches/wraps.

It's been a decade since my last visit, but revisiting Galaxy Cafe was a pleasant surprise. The parking was easy, and the retro Jetsons-style interior added a nostalgic touch. The cashier was friendly, guiding us through the kid's menu selections—Mac and cheese and a quesadilla. The place filled up with families, so it's pretty popular on weekday evenings. The kid's Mac and cheese was a hit. The pesto alfredo with chicken was flavorful, loaded with chicken, and included garlic bread. Special mention to the Yellowbird habanero and serrano sauces, elevating the quesadilla. The kiddo happily devoured the assorted fruits, balancing the meal. In conclusion, a positive experience—especially recommending the pesto Alfredo. I'd revisit if in the area again.

Google
Food tastes great. Quality Ingredients. But portions are much smaller than they used to be as prices have risen. Inflation should be covered by price, but they double dipped by reducing meal volume.

Google
Excellent meal and good all came out quickly and just as we ordered. The bacon blue cheeseburger was great!!! Look at all that blue cheese!!!!

Google
Awesome food! The steak wrap is amazing! Although, everything is delicious. A great place to go on lunch break. Awesome and fast.

Google
The cold brew was great! We had chocolate syrup and whipped cream added 😌 the woman who helped us had never made it that way before, and liked the idea of creating something new to her 🥰 It was delicious 🥰

Yelp
The food came out extremely quickly! We were so impressed by this. Galaxy Cafe has eclectic space-themed decor. You order at the counter then seat yourself. There was plenty of seating available on a Saturday at 11am for our group of six. Their parking lot is small, but we had no trouble finding open spots. I had the "homemade" oatmeal, which comes with milk (of your choice), raisins, and brown sugar on the side. I like how it was on the side as I did not add all the sugar to my oatmeal. It was, however, really expensive at $7.57 for a very normal-sized bowl of oatmeal with limited toppings. My friend got the breakfast sandwich and said he liked it. Another friend got the Mexican Breakfast, and he said, "I thought it was fine. Not bad not great." I appreciate how they have a small vegan menu with modifications as my vegan friend was able to order an assortment of a la carte items. I think this is not a bad place for brunch, but the oatmeal is outrageously priced. The food coming out fast is so commendable though, that I must give the restaurant 4 stars.

Yelp
Finished up a bike ride and breakfast at Galaxy hit.the.spot. The Galaxy Breakfast Bowl was dense in protein (eggs and beans) with a variety of vegetables and some breakfast potatoes. The textures and colors were a plus for me! Will absolutely order again. The egg dishes complemented well with the pancakes (shared with another). Appreciate that the coffee is diner style with unlimited refills, too! Looking for something refreshing? The pomegranate green ice tea (with a squeeze of lemon) is something I'd suggest. We were checked on quite a bit by a number of different service members, ensuring we had everything we needed.

Yelp
I went with a small group here for dinner. Great set up for that. Very efficient. Order and then sit down. Food was brought out fresh and hot. For the most part it's hood value for your money. My only complaint was I ordered the burger with Brie. It seemed free if Brie. No taste. It looked like there were a couple of morsels. Also missing... caramelized onions. If I had not been with a group I would have brought it back to the counter but I did not want to make a fuss. And even without those imo essential ingredients, the burger was darn good! And the other 4 folks in our party enjoyed their food. Tacos, salmon, veggie burger. I hear it's the best veggie burger because they make their own. I am indeed a fan. Hope to get the tight burger toppings next time.

Yelp
Needed a good breakfast spot and drove by this place. Overall good food and good atmosphere. Service was fairly quick. Only negative were the eggs were slightly bland...nothing that some Tabasco and pepper couldn't fix.

Yelp
Great experience at Galaxy Cafe this morning for breakfast! Has a nice neighborhood cafe vibe with the nicest staff I've encountered in ages - super friendly and attentive!! We came with a group of 14 (in town for a sports event) around 9:30am and we were able to quickly place orders and get served. They have inside seating but also many outdoor tables which was perfect this morning. I had the pancake breakfast and added chocolate chips and bananas - delicious. Also came with a side and fresh fruit. A solid meal - slightly expensive but can't complain. The rest of the group enjoyed their meals as well ranging from their breakfast bowl, the big breakfast, and wraps.

Yelp
My favourite place yet. Heather took an uncomfortable situation and saved me from an embarrassing situation! (I had forgotten my wallet and was at lunch with a guest) I can say the food was great, I can say the ambience was great, I can say the service was great, but all of that seems insignificant when compared to The attention. Heather gave to my situation. I will forever be loyal to this restaurant and by the way, yes, the food was great, the ambience was great. The prices were great., And the management was empowered and empowered its employees. It cannot get better than that!

Madeline A.

Yelp
Surprisingly great for vegans! Highly recommend the roasted vegetable buddha bowl. FYI, it is massive, but so so good. I think this restaurant is perfect for casual family meals. Ambience is certainly nice enough for brunch, but not so nice that you feel underdressed in hiking boots (which my entire family was sporting).

Yelp
THIS IS A TAKE OUT REVIEW Sorry for the yelling, just figured I would address it first. I really was hoping to give this more than 3 stars, but here is why it didn't make the cut, in my eyes... I got the chipotle chicken wrap and while there was a slight afterburner, the actual chipotle flavor was lackluster and unmemorable. The chicken itself had a lot of chewy bits and almost resembled frozen chicken fajita strips I'd buy at the store. Sorry! I ended up taking most of them out and ate the black beans, cheese, tomato, onion, and lettuce instead. Got the side of Mac n cheese and it was basic. The macaroni was cooked well so I was happy about that! I asked for ketchup packets on the side for the mac (no judging) and it was not provided in the bag. Bummer. Overall, I don't necessarily know if I'd have this delivered again for lunch. The entire meal came to about $15 and in my opinion it should probably be more like $8 wrap with a $2.50 side. Pretty pricey for a meal that was mediocre at best.

Yelp
Great little cafe in the heart of the Clarksville neighborhood. The service was super quick and everything was tasty. You get to pick your own taco fillings and both the tacos I got had generous portions. However the clear standout was the breakfast sandwich. All the ingredients seemed fresh and freshly prepared. They also have a few sweet treats which go well with the house coffee. A great vibe for catching up with friends or chilling by yourself.

Xander M.

Yelp
The servings are minuscule, the prices are inflated, and the flavors are lackluster. I used to have a fondness for this establishment, but my last visit, just in the spring, left me disappointed. I have no intention of returning, and I would rate both the price and quality as subpar. Insulting.

Butch L.

Yelp
Kathy provided a warm smile, enthusiasm and a professional manner. The big breakfast came out with eggs sunny side up; just the way I like them. Thanks for the tasty experience.

K H.

Yelp
The breakfast here is amazing! Breakfast burritos and bowls were awesome and the coffee, delicious. Service was fast and friendly! We love Galaxy Cafe!

Beth J.

Yelp
We stumbled on this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Cute atmosphere & the food was great.

Brett N.

Yelp
Why 4 stars? Because this was a pretty ideal place for what we needed. --- --- --- At a work conference, we were all sitting around a giant conference table and needed a place to order lunch from. Galaxy was suggested, so we all scoured the menu and put in our order to be delivered through GrubHub. I ordered a chimichurri steak wrap with sweet potato fries. I honestly can't think of anything I disliked about it. It was the perfectly enough food without feeling stuffed and ready for a nap afterward because we still had hours left to co-work together. When we ordered, it asked what dressing I wanted, which was kind of strange because there was no salad. Maybe I could have added the dressing to the wrap, but getting to the middle of the tortilla was like penetrating a maximum security prison. I'm not even sure if that was what I was supposed to do, but I tried because the dressing was quite tasty. If you're looking for a not-super-unhealthy-working-lunch in Austin, this is a great option with a menu that probably has something for everyone.

Megan C.

Yelp
I will be back! The ingredients in my bowl were fresh, bright, and full of flavor! 1st time here and I was very pleased! Can't remember which bowl I got but it was GOOD, with chicken! I think this is a Spring bowl.

Nina G.

Yelp
Such a cute cozy café, always love coming here, especially for breakfast. Service is great, very friendly staff!

Theresa M.

Yelp
Place was cute but no vegan options. You order then you sit. We wound up leaving to find vegan options. Good smelled good though.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Amazing lunch and dinner spot (I haven't tried their breakfast yet). They have separate gluten free menus & their fries are celiac safe which is amazing (they are so tasty). You have to get the ranch with your fries, I can't get enough of it! I love their Chimichurri steak wrap from the gf menu. Service is always amazing, friendly staff. Lovely ambiance as well.

Jimmy W.

Yelp
One of the best combinations of convenience, healthy and natural food, tasty food, ambiance, and a wide range of food options.

Cassandria A.

Yelp
Classic cafe vibes - solid food and a thematic restaurant. Can't go wrong really, though I haven't had everything on the menu.. I tend to visit for my breakfast fix. They have the basics for a great price and decent wait time and consistent taste. Pay them a visit or call in your order!

Erin R.

Yelp
The breakfast food is amazing, but the service is so bad. The old ladies up front never fail to get our orders wrong and it takes much longer than needed to not only order, but also get our food. We have started going less and less in the mornings because it's miserable dealing with the staff up front.

Anisya N.

Yelp
I can't speak to the ambiance and experience since I ordered via GrubHub- but I loved the Galaxy Buddha Bowl that I ordered. The chicken was cooked well, everything was seasoned and I loved the peanut vinaigrette and how everything went together in an explosion of flavours. I wish they had provided some utensils to eat with as I had requested some, and additionally work on packaging since some of the sauce leaked. Nonetheless, I'm excited to try their food again!

Yelp
Second visit to Galaxy. The first was sometime back at the Brodie location. Today we went to the West Lynne slot in what used to be called Clarksville. The venue itself is pretty utilitarian. Nothing outstanding -- just functional. They do have a nice sized patio dining area that's shaded from noon on. Galaxy is counter service. The menu is fairly varied and interesting. Heavy on burgers, wraps and sandwiches. The service is commendable. My companion ordered a glass of Pinot noir. The counter dude immediately admitted to the fact that the bottle had been open for a while. My partner tried a glass, and, when she made a face, he instantly opened a fresh bottle and poured her a replacement. That's service. We shared a Zocalo Buddha Bowl. It's a southwestern twist on their Buddha bowl, which is itself a twist on the Poke bowl. The portion was more than plenty for two. I could have taken a decent box home. Overall, it was top notch. The aichote grilled chicken, while a little skimpy, was warm and smoky. There are plenty of black beans, lots of cheese, decent amount of brown rice, and an excellent tomatillo and avocado dressing, made in house. It was well-balanced, with no flavor overpowering. The waitstaff was prompt and responsive and courteous. I'll be back.

Mary Helen H.

Yelp
Love this place! Great burgers cooked how you like and they have wine! Highly recommend for fast and good burgers or salads.

Kent F.

Yelp
Smooth service, good food, good coffee, great place to meet and talk. Convenient location. Enough parking.

Emilija R.

Yelp
Love the ambiance in here - You order up front and then can sit anywhere you like. Every time I've gone there, there has been an open spot, and they bring the food quickly. Staff is nice. Food is pretty good, not anything special but a great place for brunch when everywhere else in Austin is packed with hour-long waits.

Charli V.

Yelp
What a sweet little spot! My partner and I were looking for some breakfast. It was a battle between Galaxy and another spot close by. We did a coin toss and I am so happy it landed on heads! We arrived around 11am. Surprisingly, There was one open spot for outdoor dining. We ordered at the register and sat outside. We both ordered lightly from the kids menu as we were going to meet our friends for lunch at 1. Haha. My partner ordered pancakes with a side of extra crispy bacon and a small coffee. (They have almond milk, you have to request it) I ordered a breakfast taco with eggs, mushroom, and red peppers and a small orange juice. ( you can choose 2 ingredients with the eggs) I thought I ordered bacon but I did not :( Our order including tax and tip was $16 They were prompt with bringing our items out! I was also very impressed with the beverage refilling area. It was clean and organized! Really enjoyed, and hope to return soon!

Meredith W.

Yelp
Great food, great service. Even just having a glass of wine. Check out their daily specials!

Michelle A.

Yelp
Oh man did my boyfriend and I hit the jackpot coming here! It was much better than we were expecting! I don't know if it's actually a hidden gem or not in Austin, but it is tucked away in Clarksville, surrounded by historic homes. The feel of the diner is very 60s retro. It's not upscale by any means but, very cute. We went randomly on a Monday night for dinner and we're so shocked by how good it was. I ordered the Spring Buddha Bowl, which was basically just a better version of Modern Markets Buddha bowl. The chicken was so tender/absolutely cooked to perfection. It came with a generous amount of broccoli, red peppers and cabbage. There was brown rice on the bottom and avocado was included. I was worried there wouldn't be enough peanut sauce for the bowl but, it was a perfect amount, not to mention the dish was so good it didn't need much sauce anyway. My boyfriend got the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich and was also extremely happy with his. The bread was crispy and light and overall the sandwich was tasty. The ranch dressing was very unique and tasted good as well. They also had some delicious herbal tea which, I am pretty sure was Rooibos. Waitstaff was friendly and service was quick. Will definitely be back soon to eat our way through this menu.

Lizzy B.

Yelp
stop getting rid of all your coffee options your brew sucks, keep the french press please

Michelle M.

Yelp
FOOD I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. Refer to photo! Food felt fresh and clean. INSIDE is clean and modern. Very open feel. No complaints about service. Plenty of open seating when I came. This was walking distance from my Airbnb. PARKING lot is right out front. Vintage yet modern feel to the restaurant. Like a diner from the 50's feel.

Amari H.

Yelp
Went here on a date night and it was good! I wasn't sure what to expect as I thought it was a diner type place. But the menu has very healthy and fresh options. I would return.

Charley K.

Yelp
Nice local neighborhood restaurant with a good variety of health-oriented as well not so healthy comfort foods. Friendly service and plenty room for groups on week nights.

Ethan Z.

Yelp
The Queso was Water, It was expensive for The Food We got, and The Food gave me Stomache problems. Could use some Atmosphere and actual Mid century music. No cocktail Menu.

Clay T.

Yelp
I love this place. I mainly just come here for the fish wrap which is the main reason why I give this place a 5 for tbh. The fish wrap here is amazing. Burgers are decent here as well. There was one sandwich I had from here that I wasn't too fond of, but my love for the fish wrap just overpowers everything haha. Also the restaurant just looks so nice and cozy with amazing decorations and super congenial staff.. soo yea... I'm done. Can't wait to try some of their other concoctions here.

Mia N.

Yelp
My breakfast (the American) wasn't anything special but it was not bad. I wish the bacon had been thicker or at least crispier. I probably wouldn't order it again just because there was nothing memorable about it. However, I still give this place 4 stars because it's easy to find a table, I liked the local habanero hot sauce they had, they have a lot of gluten free options, and they have a good amount of parking. The cute Halloween decorations were also a plus!

Leah H.

Yelp
I live nearby and order from Galaxy frequently. This is by far the worst experience of all. The order was not only incorrect, but the wrap I did receive was inedible and completely fell apart to shreds upon opening it. I'd be embarrassed to sell anybody this.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
It's ok and will do in a pinch for breakfast. Their bread is still like wonder bread toasted. It's all very basic and fine if you need a breakfast place.

Carly V.

Yelp
This is a great little spot to grab breakfast or lunch. They had plenty to choose from on the menu. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, and the staff was very tentative. I ordered the Denver Scramble and my friend ordered the Pancake Breakfast. Both we're delicious.

Dayna G.

Yelp
The only thing disappointing about this location is they still won't service the lavender champagne like the Slaughter Lane location. I've been here during lunch 5 times and they always say "only our SL location serves this." Such a bummer. Other than that, I'm a big fan of Galaxy Cafe.

William S.

Yelp
We order takeout here regularly. The burgers are great. The Italian has been my favorite lately. The Greek salad with salmon is great. The fish wrap is great. Service is always super friendly and helpful.

Austin Foodie F.

Yelp
Used to love Galaxy but recently we've noticed a pretty pronounced drop in quality. Very disappointing as we'd go a few times a month. Dropped them an email via the "contact us" but never heard back.

Kristine C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! They have really solid burgers, wraps, Buddha bowls, etc. For the vegans out there, they have a whole separate menu for vegans if you ask them for it which I super appreciated I got the veggie burger without pesto or butter on the bun and it was really delicious!!!

Anthony M.

Yelp
There was an empty building in the Triangle which used to be a Galaxy Cafe and I was disappointed that I had never got to try it. I recently found out that there was more than 1 location so I was super quick to try it out. We came here on a Friday afternoon and there wasn't but 1 other party here. The restaurant gave us masks and the cashier was very cool. I was thinking this was a place where you are served at the table, but it's actually one where you order at the front. The cashier gave me a free substitute from chicken to salmon which was great because it saved about $3. The food came out in about 10 minutes after ordering and it was fantastic. I had the Buddha Bowl and I was filled up pretty well. It was very fresh and it had a great variety in the bowl. Is definitely the kind of place I'd recommend trying out for a brunch.

Aus-Tex B C.

Yelp
Good breakfast place but their sausage is the worst I ever tasted and undercooked it's mushy and terrible texture, bacon is good but thin and over salty. For breakfast I would recommend original pancake house off Parmer.

Alice H.

Yelp
Classic American food that doesn't fail to hit the spot. I love their sweet potato fries as they're not over-fried (I still feel slightly healthy eating it) and there's always a good portion. I love the fish wrap and the grilled chicken and bacon & mozzarella sandwich (even though it was a little soggy in the takeout box because it was touching the veggies). My friend ordered their Brie and Turkey sandwich and also liked it!

Denise G.

Yelp
My first time in, I was a little skeptical, the parking lot was pretty tight. Walking in to my surprise the place was actually nice, neat, clean and everything organized. Nice comfy seating and plenty of them ... I ordered a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I received my food nice and hot, freshly made. I loved it I ate all! Not a fan of the cane soda but I managed. I will definitely recommend this place and will certainly be returning. Thanks guys for a GREAT FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE

Caroline G.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect but it wasn't to order at the counter, in any case I was blown away with my kale salad and shocked how fast our food came out, the iced coffee with almond milk was good as well. Salads are usually not a good idea as leftovers, I didn't eat much of it at the time so took the salad home and it held up hitting the spot. My friend has been going here for years and certainly approves enough to bring me here. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more items.

Lynn N.

Yelp
Galaxy buddy bowl and cowboy cookies. Oh my word! I could live on daily! Efficient, nice, clean, tasty. Great for dine in, take out.
