Movie was great! (Deadpool+Wolverine) Popcorn was old. The theater room was warm and we had to tell the staff to turn AC on. (Felt like it wasn't). The staff was arguing in front of us. Not serious but unnecessary for us to hear. Love the seats! Soft leather and the reclining seats were good. Clean restroom.

It has the potential to be good, but upkeep is needed. Our screen showed 75% of the screen during previews which was odd, and the quality wasn’t great. Also, there was a glare on the screen throughout the entire movie Popcorn was not very good & stale. If some upkeep was done and the environment was more welcoming, it could be a great option in the area

Let’s start with popcorn. It’s not preseasoned, so you have to spill half of your bucket while you try to shake it yourself. Everything is bigger in Texas, right? Well, the screen was ridiculously small. Being out of state, I was unpleasantly surprised. The staff was nice, so it’s an only positive aspect of this place.

Seriously the best movie experience in the heart of Austin! Love the changes Nathan has made over the years! The sound is incredible, the screen is intense and the recliners are superior to the lazy boy I have at home. Staff is wonderful and concessions are supreme! Can't wait until next Discount Tuesday! Will be viewing Red One.

Clean, quiet, the GOOD seats and it gets cold as hell! Perfect for gettin' warmed up next to a loved one or date! It would get 5 stars if I could have been able to move and put down the little table attached to each chair! Otherwise, a great experience.

Says 4DX movie it was not. The seats are nice and it is a decent if older and a little run down theater. The workers were really good but you can tell they are short handed. The big downside though, I could hear the movie next door over the one I was watching. That kind of killed the experience. This is also not a wide screen movie. Which for current rates isn't worth it. But still overall not good but also not bad.

The theater had a "Surprise Movie" event. You bought your ticket but did not know which movie you would see. They hit it out of the park with their selection of "Companion", a soon to be released movie. This movie itself had lots of surprises within it. A good movie and a great selection for a surprise movie event.

I would like to emphasize how fresh and delicious the popcorn and funnel fries are. It's also great that refills are offered on large popcorn and fountain drinks. Whenever my family and I want to see a movie, we gladly drive all the way from Bastrop, Texas, passing several other theaters (Alamo, Cinemark, and AMC), just to visit your Galaxy Austin location. The rewards program is fantastic! I've never participated in anything like it before, and I'm so glad one of your team members took the time to explain its benefits. Galaxy Theatres has quickly become my absolute favorite movie theater.

Now this is my spot if I'm catching a flick. They have the comfy chairs for me and my chick :). The snacks are quite good, so we splurge on the price. My favorite movies are the ones about heists. Out of the theaters in Austin, this is my choice. It will turn a plain boring night into one that is Noice.

Easy online ordering, nice variety of snacks at the concession as well as some adult bevvies The theatre is clean and the recliners are perfect for a long viewing. Bathrooms were also clean and well attended. Ample parking and nice matinee prices to boot.

Never been here before but got the chance to since we got some guest passes. Please to say i was very much impressed! It wasnt too busy so the theater was not full at all, and no complaint about that! The chairs there are so comfortable i almost fell asleep during my movie. They only have your usual movie snacks, not any full entree meals like other places do but thats okay! Nice and simple. Theater and lobby were very clean as well as the bathrooms. We will be returning for sure!

This is an OK theater. Not one of those modern ones that has special screen and audio options and also a big set of food and drinks options. It is a smaller theater with standard food options (popcorn, tenders, nachos etc) that gets the job done. Friendly staff.

Came here for a pre-release screening of A Million Miles Away (which I very highly recommend). But this review is of the theater. It's clean and modern looking. The staff were extremely friendly. The beer was cold (a full point of Electric Jellyfish Hazy IPA). The restrooms were clean. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and the lines were very short. In the theater, the aisles are spacious. There are no bad seats. Each seat has a table and drink holder, and a button that allows you to partially or fully recline. The sound was good. We were happy. I don't know that they offer the latest for cutting edge special effects movies like IMAX 3D, etc. But for most movies this place is perfect. And they also offer classic movie favorites at a great price mid-week, like The Terminator for just $5 :-) In short, this is my kind of theater. Not a place to have dinner. Not a noisy, over-crowded metroplex filled with large crowds and very long lines. There's no bowling alley here. No arcade or pool hall. It's just a really nice place to see a movie in a comfy chair, with some nice popcorn or snacks, coupled with a soda or an alcoholic beverage. Nice!

The seats here are so comfortable and they recline. I didn't know that before arriving.  And, even sitting in the back row, the view of the screen is great. The theatre is clean and modern and has multiple screens. The concession stand will sell you the pre-requisite over-priced popcorn along with candy and cookies.  But you don't have to settle for soft drinks; beer and wine is available here too. There is a large parking lot, which was great, but it wasn't lit well-enough at night. Also, to note, tickets are purchased inside. The original ticket windows just have notices and the movie times in them.

Seeing A Million Miles screening kicking off Mexican American month. This is one of the best theatres I've been to for comfortable chairs that recline like a recliner yours have at home. They do have a spot for food and drinks to sit on and a great sound system. Since I went for the premiere I'm not sure what it's like for a regular movie but the concession had a lot of choices to make. The washrooms were clean too and plenty of parking.

This movie theatre is very underrated. To get the hot take out of the way, if you're a person that goes to a movie theatre for the food - why? You won't find any Alamo-level fare at Galaxy, but the entire concept of a restaurant theatre is flawed... I digress. You've got the classic snack options here, buttery popcorn, candy, soda. Can't go wrong with that! Check in on Yelp for a free mini popcorn! The seats are more comfortable than any other theatre chain I'm aware of (including any Alamo location I've been to). Rows are spaced appropriately apart, aisle walkways are wide, and the seats recline quite far. I'm comfortable watching a movie here. The staff are friendly, the theatres are clean. The tickets are reasonably priced. Galaxy does what a movie theatre is supposed to do.

I've been going here since I was just a child & now I take my children here. Hasn't changed too much but I love that. The seats are updated though & are my fav! Place is always CLEAN. Like a buc-ees gas station lol. Staff is respectful. But the thing I love most is just the fact that not too many people fill this place up because it's more small scale. I LOVE THAT! Never a long line for restrooms or snacks, quiet during movies & we aren't all on top of each other. Make sure to sign up for member rewards! I love going EVERY TUESDAY with my member discount. This was & still is my favorite theater. Now it's my kids too.

It's a slightly outdated theater, but I felt really cozy with the reclining chairs! Would recommend

I was in town and my friend wanted to see The Little Mermaid. The other theaters were sold out so I chose this one. At first, when we pulled up, I thought I was duped because the building next to it was boarded up. However if you drive a little more up, you see it. The popcorn was the best part! But the theater is clean, seats are comfy and there is plenty of room even though in a theater of unsold seats someone sat directly next to me! Overall it's a hidden gem and I'll be back when I visit!

Love taking a drive from Bastrop Texas to Galaxy 10, Austin Texas to watch a movie. Theatre always is clean and great sound quality. the service, food and popcorn is beyond amazing. the workers are always so pleasant each time that I have visited with family or by myself. the DBox theatre is my favorite to watch movies but I have to meet the luxury seating is great as well. Theatre and bathrooms are also very clean. I don't understand why anyone would write any type of bad review about them when they're always willing to go over board with helping their customers

My favorite theatre in Austin! The staff is always so nice, the food is yummy, and the chairs are so comfy. I've never had a negative experience here in the 6 years I've been coming. :)

Clean theater, friendly staff, and cervezas. We saw Expend4bles on opening night, and the theater was almost completely empty, for some reason. With Spanish subtitles on his favorite action franchise, my husband was thrilled.

I'm rating this from years of going to Galaxy. I haven't been this year recently but am hoping that they still have the pickle jar pickles and amazing popcorn powders they always offer. I love that they carry the Valentina Hot Sauce for us customers that love putting hot sauce on our popcorn! They are the best and staff are always very friendly and kind! I went to a movie theater where they said they didn't sell any pickles any longer, I was completely dissapointed. But Galaxy Theaters never fail us! I will be going to see the Barbie move tonight and will update you if they still have my favorites!!!! *Crossing my fingers* ***UPDATE: Galaxy theater never fails us!!! They did indeed still have my favorite classic Pickle Jar, Spice powders for our popcorn, and our Valentina hot sauce!!! I will be frequenting more now that they are also having classic nights like Alamo!

I decided to try out a different movie theater and saw the positive reviews at Galaxy. I opted for the DBox seating thinking that it was just an upgraded recliner. It was a totally unexpected and fun(ny) experience once the seats started moving and we were immersed in the film. Depending on the level of action in the movie, it is worth the $25 ticket to have the added DBox component. There is an option to adjust or switch off the movement to your liking. The food options were much more limited than what I'm used to at a full service type location but Galaxy had the usual suspects: popcorn, Icee, candy, pretzel bites, etc. I visited on a Friday for a 6:30pm showing and I believe I saw a total of five other people. I'm sure it's not always like this but it felt very relaxed and spacious.

Super clean facility. Nice staff. IMAX was amazing. Above par food options. Helpful staff. A surprise with so many theater options in Austin.

There's a huge issue with the ticket purchasing process since it's so close to the doors but other than that, this theater has super comfortable seats, great beer (shout out local Brewtorium!), wonderful management, and hopefully you get Miriam at the register. Check in for the free small popcorn!

It's not a place I will ever go again . The food is expensive FOR NO REASON Extremely low quality food,the chicken tenders are just ground up chicken fried , Lower then the quality of McDonald's with non of the flavor. I'm saying this in hopes they will do better and buy real chicken tenders. Before you go just know a large drink cost $8 And a water cost $6 Not sure how the country got to this point. After eating the chicken tenders , that I couldn't even finish I wound of hospitalized odly enough . This place has great seats and great movie screen and sound quality Though and amazing staff! But I want my money back

Took a whole bunch of kids and some adults for my daughters birthday to see a movie. service was great and everyone was very helpful. I would go again. thanks Saturday morning crew.

First and last time I will ever come to Galaxy Theaters. Rated R trailers shouldn't be played at kids movies. Talked to the staff about it and they couldn't have cared less. Food is expensive and not good. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Love this theatre! First time and boy am I impressed by snacks, theatre size, and super comfy seats! The popcorn bucket has a cool bowl top that's great for sharing! The seats also recline like truly almost into laying down and has a little tray table. It was pretty quiet and empty for a Friday night although it was also late, but I like it that way. Seats are assigned which I also like so I can sit away from others lol. Best part is when I checked in I got a free popcorn coupon! Definitely recommend for a lowkey outing or date

Went here for the first time for date night and saw Ant-Man. We got the D-Box tickets which I would definitely recommend! The seats move with the action that happens in the movie and it was a really cool experience. The seats recline but the arm rest are super small and my nachos fell off the side of them, lol. Would definitely return for an action movie!

I love the wide, comfy seats and giant (32oz beers) but I'm disappointed by the unfriendly service, cleanliness of the theater (nacho cheese splattered on our seat and chips and garbage on the floor), and broken water machines (an evil ploy to get us to pay $7 for a bottle).

Tonight I enjoyed a Yelpelite Perk of watching an advanced screening of the movie Countdown. The movie is about a cellphone app that will predict the day of your death. The movie is highly predictable and is reminiscent of the Final Destination movie franchise. Based upon the ending of this movie, I am fairly certain it will follow the same path as that franchise if it gains momentum and buzz. I can not recommend seeing this in the theater. This is a film that (in my opinion) should be reserved for Netflix as it is not worth a premium movie price. You may have guessed that the 5 stars is not for the film, yet it is for the theater. The theater is immaculate and has comfortable seating that reclines all the way back. In addition, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Always a pleasure coming here. It's a hidden gem in such a big city. They have recently added a lot of wine options to their menu. Also I can't believe people are complaining about the auditoriums being too cold come on people it's summer. It's over 100 degrees outside! This is an oasis!

We were here for a Yelp perk to see an advanced screening of Countdown. We have been to this theater before and wasn't impressed with it at all. We had stopped coming to this theater because of how rundown it was, wasn't the cleanest & the seating was so uncomfortable but now....I can recommend this place to watch a movie and grab some snacks at the concession stand. A lot of things have been upgraded & remodeled. The seats are now powered comfy recliners with a tray to hold your food and the drink slot to hold your drink. The hubby went and got us some popcorn and a drink and he stated that they were very nice with great service. Next time Im here I will be happy to be here because everything is better here now. lol

Here watching the Sound of Freedom, in line to get snacks and when we got to the register we were told they were only taking cash. The kicker, they have an ATM outside that DOESN'T, I REPEAT DOESN'T WORK! Save yourself and go to a different theater!!!

I love Galaxy Highland. I have loved Galaxy Highland for years and love it even more since it's lovely facelift. The staff is incredibly wonderful and sweet (Hey, Veronica!), the pretzels cannot be beat, popcorn is the best in town and I could go on for days. It's one of my favorite spots for a getaway or date night in Austin. The ONLY complaint I have - and pleeeeease let this be included in the facelift process - is their bathrooms. They are so old and outdated and just icky. That would be the only reason I couldn't give them a five star review.

I love this theater, they keep on reinventing themselves for you, AND ITS A HOME-RUN ALL THE TIMES WE'VE BEEN COMING HERE" since 1993 to be exact" , popcorn is top tier "clean freshly pope with a hint of salt" Staff is wonderful and helpful, seats are on another level, very clean floors... If all theatres are ANDROID THIS PLACE IS APPLE which is weird on a note,because you would think Samsung because of the GALAXY...TOP-TIER AS I SAID!!!!!

This is a hidden gem had a great time watching the new Ávatar movie in DBox ! Well worth the money and it was a way better experience due to the fact I was able to get a ticket last minute.

My peeps! Just left Galaxy Theatre after having headed over there to use my birthday gift card to see Indiana Jones with a friend. We were unprepared for the anti-disabled, discriminatory reception concerning handicapped seating, which, if you're familiar with the Galaxy is but one short row. These days only four seats make up that row, and they aren't even designated as handicapped. The management expects handicapped folks to provide their own wheelchair to sit in when they're seeing a movie. When we arrived, the two seats in the middle of that row had been sold, and the other two seats, at either end of the row and on the other side of the empty spaces for wheelchairs were the only available seats. We tried to get the manager to let my friend sit in a chair next to one of the unsold seats, but he flatly refused. We probably won't be going back to the Galaxy in the future, so please don't get me any more Galaxy gift cards. I would never be treated like this at an Alamo.

Enjoyed an afternoon movie with a 9 yr old. Easy parking, great seats, and not that busy so it felt chill and very fun.

I only ended up here because of the Fast series showing. It's a good theater option but the seats, though recliners, were super comfortable - the legs slide out but the back doesn't tilt up. Also, you have to enter/exit on one aisa not two ends, disturbing everyone. And oh, the bathrooms - eww.

One of my favorite theaters in town. It usually doesn't have a huge crowd and is always clean. The theaters inside feature large recliner seats that are comfortable and relatively new. No complaints.

Went to see Downtown Abbey for 7:35 showing and due to a mix up screening it was not availiable. So dissappointed.

John Carpenters classic slasher film Halloween (original release date 1978) at the Galaxy 10. The Galaxy has been my neighborhood theater forever. Always a good time. The staff are super friendly and always take care of business. Check in will get you a popcorn and maybe even a soda. Love the Galaxy

It's was fun when I came to watch a movie with my friends! The service was just awesome!

This movie theater stay busy so make sure you get there early to grab a seat. However, the theater is big and can fit more than 50 people. The ticket taker booth is outside instead of inside. It's always a long line at the concession stand, but the good customer service makes the line go fast. They sell pretzels, but they only prepare them as they are ordered. Which takes an additional five minutes after you already stood in line and paid.

Been looking for a theatre in Austin for a while and I think I finally found it! No more Cinemark, AMC, or Alamo Draft House! I definitely recommend Galaxy Theaters, the staff was very friendly, it was very clean, and the snack selection is great. Definitely coming back to this hidden gem!!

Went here to see the new Top Gun movie opening weekend with a group. Overall was an okay experience, the seats and theater were clean but the picture quality itself was subpar. The sound was good and you felt some vibration in the theater probably from the "dbox" motion seats you can pay extra to have. I will say, I was never once asked for a ticket. Signs said the concession staff will help with tickets but even when I ordered popcorn I was never asked for a ticket or directed to a theater. This was alarming from a security standpoint as anyone could walk in without a ticket and also from a customer service standpoint. Overall the theater seemed understaffed, the lobby was a little dated and they were not serving alcohol due to TABC issues.

I came here with friends on a whim to watch 'Last Christmas' this past weekend. The theater isn't the most glamorous (especially the restrooms), but the staff are friendly enough and they have all the usual concessions. The theater has reclining chairs installed, which was also really nice. Overall, my viewing experience was really good here. The chairs were comfortable, and the rows were constructed in a way where you didn't have to worry about someone in front of you blocking your view or blocking the view of those behind you. The chairs also had very convenient and sturdy tables that were big enough for me to put stuff on, but not too big to the point where I felt like they were obstructing me. That's a really tiny detail, but I appreciated it.
