Had an absolute blast at Galaxy Theatres for the premiere of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants! This theater remains my go-to spot because it perfectly balances a luxury feel with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. ​We watched the movie in one of the DFX auditoriums, and the experience was top-tier. The luxury recliners are incredibly spacious and comfortable—honestly, they’re so cozy you could almost fall asleep if the movie wasn’t so high-energy! The screen quality was crisp, making the vibrant, undersea colors of the "Underworld" really pop, and the Dolby Atmos sound made every "I'm ready!" feel like it was right next to us. ​The concessions were a hit as well. We grabbed their classic popcorn (perfectly buttery) and some ICEEs to keep the Bikini Bottom vibes going. Even with a busy crowd for the new release, the staff was remarkably friendly and kept the lines moving efficiently. If you’re looking for a clean, modern theater with great perks—definitely sign up for their rewards program—this is the place. Watching SpongeBob and Patrick’s latest adventure here made for the perfect weekend outing! Definitely recommend this location 👌 🌟👀💯

Galaxy Theatres is always a great experience. Clean, comfortable, and the staff actually takes care of the place - which is rare these days. After a long week of walk-throughs and helping homeowners with sales and creative financing options, this is one of my favorite spots to unwind. Picture and sound quality are always on point. Highly recommend catching a movie here.

My husband proposed to me after a date night at the movie theatre 🎭 and it was the most memorable time of our lives 😁The theatre has a great service and good working people. It’s a very nice place and it is clean and well maintained. Also, food and drinks are pretty fair, they will bring your food while you are seated with your friends or date nights! 😁😉🥰We love it! I am so glad they chose to build it in Tucson AZ. Thank you Galaxy theatre.🥰❤️oh wait, there is more.. as we came outside from the movie we saw these magnificent creatures the Javelinas! 😁 it was really cool to watch the babies and mommy and daddy 😎 not every day at the theatre you get the chance to to see them. This is a great movie theater It is always very clean. The staff is always extremely helpful. Prices are competitive with other movie theaters. And of course you have the reclining seats It is kind of nice to have a unique theater There is plenty of parking as well

Galaxy is classified as a 'luxury theatre' and I have to agree! The concession stands serve adult beverages in addition to the normal fare and the recliners are extra comfy while sporting a decently sized tray complete with cup holders. Prices really aren't higher than you would pay at a standard theatre and they have friendly customer service. My only complaint is the assigned seating, this isn't uncommon in theatres anymore but it makes it stressful for me as a customer because I either have to pay in advance in person or buy online and pay a convenience fee to ensure I can seat my whole crew together. That being said I'll definitely be back so it can't be that bad right? I included a schedule of their summer movie schedule showing older movies at a huge discount to beat the heat this year (2023). 🥳 Update: don't try and go at peak times if you want concessions, the line can be insane and not very efficient. If you sign up for their membership you get discount tickets on Tuesdays for normal theatre seats 😁 their DFX theatres are pretty cool but beware the regular screens feel really small after you've seen a movie in them! 😅😁

Super comfortable chairs, popcorn has an incredible taste. The theater was hot but later cooled down a little bit. The sound system is not great. It was a decent experience. I believe they need to do something else to bring people back to the theaters. I believe they need to improve.

This is a great little theater with clean bathrooms! If you order food that requires more time to be prepared, the staff will bring it to your seat. Each seat has a tray attached to the arm of the chair, allowing you to set food on... The only thing I don't like, is that the arm rest won't go up, so this makes it a bit more difficult to get even closer to your loved one.😉

Exceptional Cleanliness: From the lobby to the restrooms and the actual screening room, everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained. It made for a very comfortable and pleasant environment.

Went with best friend and saw F1 with Brad Pitt. Parking was excellent and close Entered into cool well lit lobby. No waiting got tickets immediately. Friend's birthday so she had a free ticket. Popcorn and Diet coke were delicious and reasonably priced. Theater very clean and staff friendly Seats reclined and very comfortable. Temperature and volume of movie perfect. Definitely will return.

This was my first experience at this theater. I've always gone to Cinemark or Harkins but tried it out. I was pretty blown away with how nice the inside is. The menu selection huge. We got a jumbo pretzel and cheese fries, both were delivered to our seats. They both tasted amazing. The fries were crispy and the pretzel was crunchy but soft. The bathrooms were even very clean. My gripe was a noise complaint. There were 4 individuals in row L who were literally talking the entire previews and most of the movie. I heard several people sush them and ask them to stop talking and they didn't. I finally walked out to use the restroom and made a complaint at the front desk. Another lady in my row also complained, which I heard after the show. I noticed a staff come in and watch the theater for less than 30 seconds, then turn around and leave. The people were literally talking as he stood there and he did nothing. The fact that they were formally complained on at least rice in addition to the multiple people that asked them to stop, and nothing was done is ridiculous. Movie tickets are expensive, on top of snacks and it's an environment that the norm is quiet. That kind of complaint should be actioned immediately and it was a huge fail on the staff. It was so distracting and took away from the whole movie.

Love the location and cleanliness of this theater. They always try to make it special like it was when I was younger.

We love Galaxy theaters! I always use their app to secure our seats for our movie. The app is wonderful because you rack up points to use at concessions or a movie. If you don't use their app, it easy to purchase tickets inside. The theatre is always clean and comfortable. Recliner chairs are clean and cozy too. Their employees are very helpful and friendly. Go see a movie! Keep our theatres open and running!

The theater itself is fine but it's the management that needs serious work. My family went to go see a movie and when we went to the kiosk, it was giving us an error message so we went to another kiosk to purchase tickets and we got tickets at the second kiosk. When we went to check our credit card, it was double charged. So we called the theater to see if we could get that charge canceled and the attendant we spoke to was very apologetic and put us through to management, who just blew us off. We tried to explain the situation and he was like well if you didn't get tickets then you won't get charged... But we did get charged! He wasn't listening to us. No apology, not even trying to be understanding - just totally condescending. We had to call the bank ourselves and handle the charges because clearly the management there didn't care. Not to mention while we were at the theater, no one even bothered to check that we bought tickets. We just walked right in. And we needed 3-D glasses which no one was around to give them to us. We had to hunt someone down to give us the glasses, so whoever is in charge of this place needs to really work on structure and procedure or something because no one is being held accountable here.

Went here for the first time this past Sunday to see the Deadpool movie. So glad to have a theater on this side of town! We bought tickets online and checked in fairly easily. The popcorn smell almost got me but we had just eaten! We got there just as the previews were starting. I wasn't sure it was a dine in theater until I saw servers bringing food to people in the audience. This surprised me because there was no menu at our seats, QR code, or sign/indication of how to order. Luckily I was not ordering this time, but it would have been nice to look at the menu. Ive never seen this before but each seat had a cute gift in it, a red egg, filled with a Deadpool/wolverine necklace. I thought that was pretty cool. They had nice reclining seats of course that kept you comfortable. All in all, it was a good visit.

Galaxy is our go-to theater! We love the member discount on Tuesdays--just $6.50 for a movie. You do have to buy the tickets at the theater to get the deal, but it's totally worth it. The recliner seats are super comfy (I won't go to a theater without them anymore), and the popcorn is always fresh and buttery--some of the best I've had. It's become our weekly date night spot. Clean, comfortable, and a great value. Highly recommend checking it out!

Waited almost two hours for the brisket nachos on top of them tasting disgusting. Had to call the front during my movie after waiting an hour. Then had to call AGAIN after waiting 45 more minutes. don't order the brisket nachos they're not worth the wait.

i go to galaxy theatres two to three times a month , and always pleased with their employees . thanks Dj outstanding customer service he gave . super helpful and what great attitude . nice touch when i'm getting my refills on my pop corn and soda .

This theatre is great! Good reclining seats, food is better than century and has alcohol drinks. Top notch for movie theaters in Tucson! The staff have even been friendly and helpful.

Great place to find yourself during the summer, especially in the Arizona heat take the whole family. Enjoy your movie great refreshments and alcoholic beverages for the adults. With the assigned seating, you know exactly where you'll be at in the movie theater and the luxury recliners made for more enjoyable time

Tonight we came here to see the movie Flash. Movie was entertaining, plus my girl Sasha Calle AKA Supergirl was in it too, so that was awesome! :) Anyway, the reason for my score today was a couple of things. First, when we got there, nobody was at the ticket counter. We were told that we needed to buy our tickets at the concession stand instead. We tried to use the kiosk, but it wasn't acknowledging my phone number for the rewards. So, we ended up buying them at the concession stand after all. Luckily, we were able to still get what we wanted. Then, I ordered the pretzel bites, but, I wasn't told that they would take approx 30 mins to make! I was beginning to think they forgot about me. But, when I got them, they tasted great. The girl that helped us was very nice! Anyway, I still love this theater so we will definitely be back!

We love coming to Galaxy. Such a nice theater. Seats are comfortable, plenty of room, and no sticky messes on the floor like other theaters in Tucson. A big plus is we have a few times now had to cancel tickets because the babysitter was sick. The process is easy and refunded to us each time. We have also had friends rent out a theater for there kid's birthday. Kids always had a great time.

This is a great movie theater option for the east side of Tucson. I noticed they have the option to order food and alcoholic beverages there. I unfortunately didn't get the chance to because I had dinner before. The screen and sound were great. They have comfy reclining chairs too. It was the typical movie theater experience. I'll be back for sure.

Hands-down, the best theater in all of Tucson. Seats are amazing, temperature of the theater is comfortable, popcorn really tastes like popcorn! A really wonderful place with friendly professional staff.

My favorite theater in Tucson! Love how they decorate the lobby area and entrance for different movies/seasons, you get the small business vibe with big business quality. The theaters are always clean and comfortable, the snack selection is great, and they will bring your hot food right to your seat. The popcorn is also better here than at the Road House or park place theater.

I've been to the Galaxy theater a few times. And boy what a wonderful experience every time I go. The sound system is just amazing. At Galaxy theaters Tucson,they have the seating where you get to pick your seats in advance. The seats are so comfortable and they recline.They have a wonderful selection of food. It's clean. What's not to like when you're going to go see a movie?

Went to see the morning matinee of "The Whale" today. Really like the theater with the reclining seats and we have our favorites. Usually buy the tickets online the night before and then just hit the concession when we get there and go on in. Our seats were comfortable. I like to recline the seats back and get comfy. Today, some of the pros also brought in some blankets so they could bundle up to wathc their show (it was a little cold inside). The large seat table is just perfect for placing your drink and food and I can lay my cell phone on it as well without crowding anything. There is plenty of room for people to walk in front of you as you recline so those type of people walking issues have been resolved. We ordered the big tub of popcorn (wifey fav) and the large drink. But today, drink good, but popcorn was OMG way way over-salted. It was so salty we couldn't eat it. It was awful. At $18.50 for the popcorn and drink you just expect a luxury theater to know exactly how to salt the popcorn. So, no excuse. The only saving grace was with this combo you can get free refills, so later wifey had to dump what we got and had them refill it. The movie was excellent and recommend that you go see it. Not for young kids, but high schoolers and older should find it worth the two hours.

Well I just finished the Minecraft movie, the movie was god awful but it was good in its own special way, Galaxy was good though so great work!

We had the unfortunate experience of going to see an R rated movie with two toddlers in the audience. They whined and fussed the whole time. How annoying and insensitive on the parent's part. Additionally, management should have taken care of it when we complained. They did not. We will not be back to this theater!!!!

Clean and always great customer service! They have a great selection of drinks. Their pina coladas are one of my favs and the food(popcorn) is always fresh.

I really love this theater mostly because it's only 2 minutes from my house. It's usually never that busy, seats are very comfortable, spacious, and clean.

From the first impression to exploring the whole place I am completely disappointed! I don't even know where to start with what is wrong. It is poorly laid out, poorly executed and the employees are mumbling teenagers. If I'm going to be paying premium prices for a "luxury" theater then I expect a bit of class. The ticket guy I could barely understand. He mumbled so quietly. I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times. I then went to the bathroom where I wondered stall to stall desperately trying to find one not littered with trash or the bowl filled with toilet paper. It was a super gross bathroom, my photos for it don't do it justice. The mirrors were splattered in soap scum and water spots. Next I decided to grab a beer and they charge $9.50 for a twenty ounce local beer!! That's outrageous. The Road House is around $7 and they give class with their luxury. I wanted to wait for my friends in the lobby but as gigantic as it is, there is only a love seat and two chairs clustered together. There is nowhere else to sit. At the end of the movie I did get to try out the lobby chairs and they're very hard. You do no sink into them. The theater itself was fairly empty. No seat service. The chairs were ok, they recline. The theater we were in had some special sound and it was so loud I had to plug my ears several times. Some people like this but sadly I'm not one of them. I had such hope for this theater but everything is a cheap, unthought out, uninspired, thrown together, half-*ssed execution. Needless to say, I will not e a return cu

The most comfortable theater luxury seats in Tucson! Been to all of the theaters with luxury seats, Galaxy tops them all. Didn't get a back ache from these. Cinemark has some great seats, too. As does Harkins and AMC. But these are great. Just as good if not better than Roadhouse. There are lots of screens here, all have exceptional sound systems. If you are lucky and get in the big room, there are 52 speakers there waiting for you with incredible sound. They have like 32" touch screens for ticket kiosks. Very nice. You can use their app to purchase tickets and reserve your seats ahead of time. Their concessions are yummy! The popcorn is the best of any theater as they use REAL butter and distribute it on the corn nicely. They have the best containers, too, with domed lids with a hole to put your hand through. (Think large Icee drink lid.) This is nearly a 30 minute drive for us, but it is so worth it to view a good movie. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

We decided to try Galaxy since we'd never been. Big mistake. Terrible experience. Long line for refreshments We misunderstood the structure-we thought, because they serve food to the seats, that we ordered from our seat as well so we didn't arrive early to purchase refreshments. Apparently, they only serve certain items to your seats. We ended up in line for 25 minutes missing 35 minutes of our movie. A note to arrive early since lines can take 15-20 minutes at the time of the online purchase would have been incredibly informative and helpful. Another issue -admittedly our fault- was that we purchased for the wrong date mistakenly. Maybe clarity of date, time and movie should be emphasized on the site prior to purchasing. Anyway we showed our QR code at the front desk, they printed the tickets and sent us on our merry way to theater 2 without catching it was for the wrong date. So then we arrive to occupied seats! We compared with the other person and they noticed the date on our tickets. So back to the front we go. Thankfully they worked with us and placed us in another theater showing. So that was nice of them (but shouldn't they have caught that from the get go?). Refreshments were very expensive, service at the refreshment bar was subpar and our nachos were incredibly disappointing as the melted nacho cheese was absolutely COLD. not even warm, let alone hot as it should've been. I doubt I'll ever return. At the very least, it will be a last resort choice. First choice will always be Roadhouse Cinemas!

Worst summer experience. Went on 7/8/23 to watch the new Indiana Jones movie shuts down because a supposed power surge. Then one hour and thirty minutes in another power surge and the movie stops. First time they tell us it's a 15-20 min wait. It's the same the second time. Then get told sorry it's monsoons. Not a single cloud in the sky. Leave the theater and wait in line for a refund. The young lady denies everyone in waiting for a refund. States we can't give everyone a refund go back in the theatre and it should be starting. Will no longer be attending this place. Not a manager in site.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the yelp elite review. The theater was fantastic, and the food tasted great. As the night went on you can see they took pride in the service as well. It also helps when the manager was talking about how other theaters use imitation popcorn butter, and there's is real butter. You would think that was something small, however when he informs you it's seven times as much on the cost and the price is still the same, you realize something small like that makes a big difference as well. We will absolutely go back to visit again. Last sorry for the lag on the post, we were there two weeks ago and I just realized I did not give them kudos they deserved.

This was our first time here, as it had only been open a matter of days! The staff was very nice. We got our tickets online and printed what was sent to us. However, what was sent did not have a bar code on it. I took it to the girl at the counter who quickly found my reservation, so no hiccup at all! We moved thru the ordering line pretty fast. We got nachos, fries, hot dog, soda and slushie. Everything was very tasty! They gave us our drinks and nachos right away, and then for the other food, that was delivered to us in our theater. The seats were very comfy and I feel that I need to mention, the seats lay pretty far back!!! Each chair has an attached mini table that was able to be re-positioned however we wanted them! The sound was amazing and clear. The temperature was nice and cool. My son went down to the first row to see how that was (Before the movie started) and he said that it wasn't super close to the screen and could easily see the entire screen without hurting his neck! I am glad to have this option closer to home! The next closest thing to something of this level is way in town--and frankly, I hate going thru town with the crazy traffic--this was just a straight shot! I can see my family utilizing this theater often!

Galaxy Theatres was a good time for me. The whole place is still new and while I was there I enjoyed some tasty snacks, a good movie and beer! It's always nice to see a movie and it's even better when they serve beer! I thought it was an especially good find since they serve Kiltlifter! Win!

This place used to be clean and the best theater in the area. Carpet is filthy now, floors had black shoe tracks all over. I realize it may have been a busy Saturday but geez the bathrooms were disgusting too! What in the world has happened to this theater it's obvious it's not being taken care of anymore. Even the higher priced theater that showed the DFX version had broken headrest at one of our seats . This theater is not that old such a shame!

TERRIBLE. I spent $25 to see the UFC fight. The screen went black within the first 15 mins. Galaxy refused to refund anyone. They said you can stay and see if it comes back up, or you can leave. After waiting an additional 30 mins the stream never returned and they still refused to refund me. This is shortly after not being refunded on July 08th after being told the movie and A/C was down due to the weather. This theater takes responsibility for nothing. WILL not be going back. You're better off driving to park place or Tucson market place.

The 3 stars are only because we've been here before and the pizza is delicious- today however was a mess. Tried to get tickets on the app, wasn't working- ok no prob, decided to just go and buy them there. Nope, nothing working, all computers/phones and programs were offline- the sweet lady behind the ticket counter was trying so hard to make it right. The manager however was stomping around the lobby on the phone being a total a-hole to customers who were looking for assistance. I offered to just pay in cash- nope. We just went to the mall instead for our film, but his behavior was so off putting that I doubt we'll go back. Attitude check please!

This theater has the nicest recliners in town. They have a decent food selection as well. This is my favorite theater to come too if I'm not trying to eat a full meal at such like road house. It is Always very clean and the screens are amazing.

I'm a fan! Galaxy is a great addition to the East side. This theatre is too far from me to commit to being a regular, but what I was impressed by was the customer service, cleanliness and the REAL butter on the popcorn. I ate my entire large bag to myself and didn't feel totally gross after, that's never happens. For those looking for a dinner in the theatre experience, they do not offer that at this theatre. You can order food in advance and have it delivered to at the theatre before the movie begins, which I think is nice and eliminates the interruptions of having servers going in and out of the theatre. I personally don't enjoy eating a meal at the movies...It makes me feel like I'm on an airplane, but that's just me! Great popcorn, your typical concession items, alcoholic beverages plus friendly staff = 5 stars.

Nice comfortable movie theater! I went to see Captain Marvel (and it was a bad a$$ movie)! The chairs recline, and are very cushy..(like a lazyboy!). The bathrooms are clean, and there is no mystery sticky liquid on the floor in the movie theater..lol. The food and beverages are reasonably priced, and the staff through out the theater were very nice. I was here for a YELP event before Xmas, and it is nice to see the theater is still sparking clean. Well done!

This theater is our families favorite! The employees are always polite, helpful and friendly and the whole place is very clean. And the variety at the concessions is great and yummy .

Galaxy bills themselves as luxury theaters, but it is anything but. While they do offer a few beers and a couple wines, the menu is typical movie theater- prefab pizza, nachos, and chicken strips. Their recliners are too tall and too deep for a 5'4" woman, meaning my feet don't touch the floor and I never could get comfortable. There is only one row not requiring a climb up or down steep stairs, making it extremely un handicap friendly. The first time we went, the theater and restrooms were so miserably cold I was shaking the whole time. Since that was shortly after the theater opened, we decided to give it another shot. The second time, we purchased tickets for a mid day show. While the theater was warmer this time, we literally were unable to get a beverage or snack- the line was 35 people deep at the concession stand, and they only have a single stand. A couple that came in when we did attempted the line and waited 25 minutes to be served, nearly missing the opening to their movie. As a result, we saw our movie without even a cup of water. We've tried going twice, but that's it. Matinee tickets were $10+ each, plus an online "booking fee". We'll head to a regular theater or the local true premium theater next time.

I live 30 minutes from Galaxy Theatres, however the stellar impression the manager, staff and facility left on us after a Yelp event lured us back in for a screening of Aquaman on their incredible DFX Dolby Atmos screen. The facility sparkles, all new, in my opinion the recliners are the cushiest of all available in Tucson. I love how you can adjust the headrest and bottom footrest separately. The sound and picture quality of the DFX Dolby Atmos screen was incredible, crisp picture with vibrant colors, booming sound, felt as if I were swimming along side Jason Momoa during Aquaman! ;) Okay, maybe I was just dreaming. Local advertisements play while waiting for your movie to roll. I noticed via their facebook they carry a local small business's salsa in their snack bar, how neat! Popcorn, has real butter and is real tasty. The lid feature on the popcorn doubles as a popcorn shaker and also an extra bowl for someone lucky enough to share with you. Staff we encountered were friendly and smiling, seem to enjoy working there. I witnessed the manager interacting with guests, nice to see him out and about rather than hiding in a back office. I may not be here for every screening due to the distance from my home, but we will be back!

An awesome new thearte. Lounging chairs with full recline and feet support. Food, snacks, beer, and wine servied to you. Plenty of room in the theatre even for tall people like me. My new place to check out movies.

We have not been to many movies during the pandemic, but decided to go to one last night. While the movie was ok, we were impressed with the theater's safety protocols and cleanliness. Patrons could choose their seats, but with only about 10 people total in our showing, spacing was easy. Everyone wore masks, and the refreshment workers also wore gloves. We saw various people cleaning and sweeping. The restrooms had every other stall blocked off and every other sink closed as well. The reclining seats in the theater were very comfortable.

The entrance is a bit confusing at first. You walk in and there are some self-ticket machines. The food counter is directly to the right where you would think the ticket booth is. There is a small one person counter where you can get tickets if you don't want to use the self-ticket machine. The seats are comfortable, the theaters are clean, the sound and movie quality is good. Overall the theater is fun.

I'm so EXCITED the east-side has its own movie theater now!! We went for the grand opening weekend and saw Venom! This is a very nice theater and you can tell the management team worked hard on preparing their team for the opening. The reclining chairs were AWESOME! I only wish the grand opening special of $2.00 medium popcorn or soda could continue forever....!! Here are some helpful hints.... 1) The parking lot size didn't grow with the addition of the theater, so get allow time for driving around to find a spot. I'm sure parking will continue to be a challenge beyond the grand opening weekend. 2) Allow time to get your goodies. The line can get long. You gotta have your pop and snacks for the movie, right??? 3) Bring a blanket because the theater was freezing! Luckily, I know I run cold so I had one with me and was super comfortable throughout the movie! 4) There are lots of bathroom options which I loved! At Roadhouse you are waiting sometimes for a hot minute!! Support our newest theater and go see a show!!
