"This chicken-focused bar is one of Rio’s most illustrious bohemian institutions, attracting diners throughout the night for plates of crisp-roasted galeto (three-month-old chicken) and glass after glass of beer. The Copacabana icon has a second branch in Botafogo with a much larger area to welcome all the night owls hungry for seasoned chicken hearts, garlic bread, and the essential eggs farofa." - Rafael Tonon, Taylor Barnes

Local Spot, amazing food. Get the chicken in sauce, the cornmeal fries, also the pork sausage, the steak is good as well, you really cannot go wrong here. It’s small but mighty.

Food is amazing. Place is too small so you have to wait a lot for table. But was worth a wait, garlic bread and steak is amazing

This place is spot on. The photos don’t do it justice. Place is always super packed. There is sitting space in the rear just let one of the great servers know you need a table. The guys are all great, attentive fast and organized. This is my second visit and this time was equally great or better. Food is fire grilled and so so delicious 😋 it’s a must come when in Rio. Pilsner beer is super cold and just good, so order it. I’m not a drinker and I have 2+ drinks.

We recently dined at Galeto Sat's in Rio de Janeiro and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively, inviting and very casual, with a mix of traditional and modern decor. The menu was filled with a variety of delicious and authentic Brazilian dishes, and I had a hard time choosing just one thing to order. In the end, I went with the signature galeto (grilled chicken) and it did not disappoint and the chicken hearts… Yummy. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the portion size was generous. We had a few beers as well. The service was top-notch throughout the meal, with my drinks never going empty and my server checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I highly recommend Galeto Sat's for anyone looking for a taste of authentic Brazilian cuisine in a lively and welcoming setting. We visiting from Toronto, Canada Nov 2022!

Sometimes you just want a simple meal that tastes good, is filling, and won't break the bank, and this is it. We came in around 9pm on a Wednesday night; we waited about 20 minutes for a table but it was fun to just drank chope at the counter and watch the grill and people outside. My favorite meal in Rio.
