Galindo's A Taste of Mexico

I hate to leave bad reviews but this was the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten! I irradiation live mexican food but this was not good! I got the chicken bowl and it was almost nearly all rice. The chicken was dry and tasteless. I paid $1.10 extra for the so called salsa and crema but it was maybe a tablespoon worth. The salsa was no salsa I've seen. It was creamy and it SO hot I wish I had tasted it before I used it. The jalenenos were also ridiculously hot. The cilantro was probably the only thing that tasted good to me. I wasted $20. First and last time I eat there.

For 72$(w/tip) I’m disappointed to say the least. We ordered flour tortillas and got hard and dry tortillas de maiz. I ordered a chile relleno torta w/ fries and got the hard stem of the chile & 1/2 a potato worth of fries that were “fried” in cold oil leaving them oily and raw still . Only thing that was decent was the al pastor itself and creamy green salsa. 👎👎👎👎

I got a nachos mixed Al Pastor and Asada and it was crazy how they only put cheese and veggies, no meat whatsoever to the point that I had to go back and ask him that for $18 there’s no way that that’s all I was getting on the picture that shows after I told them to put more meat on it first and last time ordering here again.

I first discovered Galindo’s through their food truck where I ordered the birria tacos with the birria sauce — and let me tell you, it was love at first bite! The flavor, the juiciness, the quality… everything was on point. I was so impressed, I came back the very next day with my son and had been bragging about them ever since! When the food truck hadn’t been local for a while, I didn’t hesitate to take the drive to their nearest restaurant location — a little over 20 miles from my home — and I have zero regrets. The recipe stayed true, and the food did NOT disappoint. Still just as flavorful, juicy, and absolutely delicious. The service was top-tier too. The owner/manager personally checked in on us and provided superb service that went above and beyond. He even recommended their other location that serves alcoholic beverages — now that definitely caught my interest, and I’ll definitely be visiting soon! To top it all off, their prices are fair and reasonable for the quality you get. I’ve purchased from Galindo’s three separate times now, and each time, they’ve nailed it. Consistency, flavor, service — they’ve got it all. Highly recommend. Galindo’s is THAT spot. 💯🔥

It was my first time eating there. The food was amazing. I had the best chicken taco I ever ate. I will be going back. Everything was excellent even the lemonade. I will make that trip again. I love this place.

Per a suggestion from a close friend(which I dragged her here with me lol) we took a 1.2hr ride to Downriver to have the experience! BOY WAS IT WORTH IT! I started with a large bowl of Guacamole(a lil under seasoned but very fresh!) Ordered the Appetizer Queso Birria Pizza(it was HUGE, JUICY, TASTY & worth every penny) I didn't know the QBP was that large so I said what the heck they're known for Torta BOY did I ever get a TORTA! I ordered the Cuban and this sandwich was soooo flavorful, meaty, and worth every cent! Service was excellent, owners daughter heard me say the the fries were cold and POOOF another order of hot fries appeared! Crystal(our server) was personable and her Mom makes the Birria(I wanna be invited to her Mom's house for any special occasion!) The Consummé was Rich, Meaty, perfectly seasoned and had such a deep beefy flavor that you know that came from the pot she cooked the meat in! Galinda's you've made a customer for life outta me! Will be back and bring more friends! If I can make on Suggestion por fa vor Birria Ramen! Omg with the Consummé you have, tasty meat I'd gladly pay $20 for a bowl! Thank you and see you soon!

Love a good Mexican restaurant! This place is right by our new house and was on point! The food, drinks, and service were great! We will for sure be coming back!

Great food, service and restaurant! The food was delicious, tasty and abundant. The restaurant was full with only 7 tables in the building as one side is used for carryout and the other for dine in but wait was not long and food came out fast as the sevice. Jackelin was very friendly and attentive and was a wonderful server. Would recommend a visit! Their tortas are very delicious and as well as their desserts!

Tried the Wyandotte location. Ambience is definitely not their strong suit, but I go to eat not look around. Wow, I admit to being a bit surprised by how outstanding the food here was. Fast, great server, fresh and large portions. Not cheap in fact a little pricey, but good value for such well cooked food. Birria pizza was a standout. The Chorizo Cheese dip was also really good. The tortas could easily serve two people, so even though they cost $20 they are totally worth it! Do yourself a favor give them a try!

Felt like having some Mexico City street food so stopped by to get my favorite torta - Acapulco Torta (pork, grilled mushrooms, Oaxacan cheese and added grilled pineapple) on an outstanding Mexican bakery roll topped with mayo, tomatoes, jalapeño, beans and avocado. And it comes with fantastic fresh-cut french fries. They are one of only a few places that I know that really understands how to make fresh-cut french fries. They are soft and you can taste the potato, not crispy fries like most places. Great meal!

The staff has always been inattentive each of the two times I have dined here. The restaurant is always sloppy and unkept. Yuck

Such a cute place! High quality food, speedy, friendly service. Horchata was refreshing on a hot day.

The best Mexican food around! Whether your taking out, dining in, or off their truck the food is always spot on.

Great food here! Love the Enchiladas verde. So good and their beans are my favorite. I have also had their Tacos supreme and those are wonderful too!! Churros are superhot and crispy and come with choice of chocolate syrup, caramel and whip cream. They give you 3!!!

Tasty tasty tasty well priced food. Definitely get the molcajete with some horchata! And Celine has to be the sweetest server i have ever had. Very glad i came here with my family
